Can they take care of animals, or at least not die if left alone for a day's work?

Will there be any time skips, like every week or two we advance a quarter/half year/? I'm far from an expert, but the last one seemed to move so slowly, with little tangible growth that made it hard to stay interested as each day was roughly.

The main issue is that unless everyone brings along kids, you'd be getting an advantage for free.

Depends what people are doing. If a time skip fits we'll do a time skip.

Something to note for those of you in the process of creating characters - everyone starts with two Expansion Points (described in the third OP post), so if you want to take a character direction not supported by current items, that is something available to you.

Is it alright if I bring back a character from the original thread?

The main issue, Auph, is that even though you’d have more mouths to feed, food is relatively cheap, and it doesn’t balance giving you more than double the starting traits.
Provisional character limit with traits of their own is 1 for the record, as if I say anything to the contrary that’s a slippery slope of everyone having four characters.

How cheap was food? I must be remembering wrong, but wasn't a bushel of apples worth one day of food and costing five Copper Knaves?

Referencing the materials section of the OP, one bushel of wild fruit can feed a man for a week. You are right about the five copper knaves, though I haven’t put up the old shop.

Oh, it was a week.

Silly me!

Time to kill two children and an assortment of adorable animals.

I would like to propose an expansion.

Family Reunion: For one silver knave, you can bring a family member over the seas to join you. They have three skills, three copper nobles, and one expansion point.

-----------------------
Name: Victoria Bracknell
Description: A rather tall woman with with thick black hair in gentle curls, her skin a warm olive tone and eyes an inky black. On the thin side with a fair amount of muscle, she is beautiful with delicate features, her beauty only detracted by her rather wide mouth always in a sort of half grin. Some find it charming, but it doesn't fit the aesthetic of the rest of her face.
Biography: Victoria was born on a prosperous farm in a large clearing in the pleasant forests of the central empire. Her father and mother were prosperous and did very well for themselves, building up a reputation as the finest dairy and poultry farmers anywhere within a week's journey. However, as she and her sister got older, they never found men to marry. Perhaps as a result of not needing any money a man could provide thanks to the success of their parents, the sisters soon became the ageing town spinsters, though both were only 19 when Augusta met her husband. Victoria was included into the family, as Augusta's husband was the son of the village miller and they had the room to spare in his spacious house. However, she still spent much of the time on the farm, assisting their various farmhands and managing the business. Augusta's husband tried to help, but as his family grew, giving Victoria a niece and a nephew, he found himself worn too thin. Augusta was thoroughly in love with her husband, but Victoria saw the truth. He had only married her to get access to the farm, the largest single piece of land in the entire region. She devised a plot, travelling often for months at a time to visit various covens and locations where practitioners of witchcraft met.

Eleven years after Augusta had married and a year after she left on her longest journey yet, Victoria returned. A week after her return, Augusta's husband fell ill. She thought, and Victoria agreed, it must be because he was working so hard trying to run both the farm and the mill at the same time. A month later he was dead. The only problem was that the villagers had suspicions about Victoria, accusing her of witchcraft. A week later they marched on her home, and she fled with Augusta and the children. For months they travelled, making money here and there, but all of the food went to her gluttonous niece and nephew, who apparently needed to eat more than once a week. Weaklings, the lot of them. Eventually the made it to the coast of the continent, not by any design, but merely by chance. It was there that Victoria had her greatest plan yet, even better than her master stroke of murdering her sister's husband. She would hire someone to kidnap the children and sell them to the local salt mines. It would finance a journey to a new world, where people surely didn't judge as harshly about little things like murder and ritual sacrifice. Surely knowing an honest day's work would strengthen the children, and if they were lucky they might die before catching any one of the horrible diseases that plague the slaves who work in the mines. The only trouble was, when the kidnappers came on schedule, Augusta fought them to try and save her children. In the end they took her too and simply paid Victoria the difference. She was crushed, as she loved her sister very much, but decided in the new world she could make the money necessary to buy her sister and the children, if they were that important, back.

Character accepted.

New mechanic introduced (modified).
Family Reunion: For one silver knave, you can bring a family member or friend over the seas to join you. They have three skills just as player characters do, but do not possess expansion points and come ashore with just 2 copper nobles in hand.
Please keep in mind that the length of the journey between continents means a significant wait between your purchase of their passage and their arrival.

1 expansion point deducted from Aurelia.

So can I be a mass murdering psychopath?

Being serious, I think I'll either be a farmer or a hunter.

Not mass murder, just one person killed.

And three sold into slavery.

And presumably several ritual sacrifice victims.

But it's fine.

Totally . . . fine.

Did not know this is back and here is my old char from the old rp.

Name: Nakhu Olziyt
Description: Face Wearing simple civilian clothes.
Biography: Nakhu hails from the easternmost part of the Empire that resides partly in the Great Steppe. His family is one of the few farmers in the region because the scarcity of viable farmland. Their farm just big enough to be able to sell enough crops to support themselves and still be able to store enough their crops for winter. Nakhu took up hunting to ensure that his family also had enough food during winter after a bad harvest forced them to ration food during one winter. Once he felt the farm would do well without him and when the family could afford it. Nekhu left the farm to see more of the Empire and to live on his own. The first job he got was a surveyor for a mining company that was looking to expand in his native region. He knew that land and developed a good eye for mineral deposits. When he heard of the New World and colonists being sent there. Nakhu enjoyed the idea of exploring new lands and settling in a fresh frontier. So he travel to the New World when he was able and plans to stay.
