During the formative years of civilized life, a great clash of faith occurred. A Jewish wanderer named Jesus Christ inspired people all across the Levant and flocked to his banner. Such was his charisma that he soon become one of the most influential people on the planet. The Roman Empire did not like this at all. They sought to undermine this new faith and in doing so, set off great holy wars between the faith of the Romans, Hellenism, and Christianity. The conflict devastated Africa, where the Black Lands were at the forefront of fighting. In this land, a great crocodile had been slumbering. The Pharaoh of these lands was subject to the Romans and severe weariness was growing upon the region. Tired of being caught in the middle of faiths that the Blacks Lands wanted nothing to do with, a fervor began to grip the region. The Black Land's Kemetic identity grew strong, and with it so did the slumbering crocodile. It was the public murder of the Pharoah by a Christian assassin that woke Sobek. Priests across the land called for the unification of the cults to fight back against the aggressors in their lands. This call resonated with the Greek population in Kemet, whose homeland was also suffering. Like never before seen, the Greeks and Kemetics began to work together and ceased to work for Rome. Greek influence was a massive part of the Roman war machine and the civil war that followed was long and bloody. In the end, the syncretism that bound the Greek and Kemetic cultures and religions together fused and became the dominant power across multiple continents.

Such is the history of Sobek's revenge and the rise of Ra over all the lands of Europe, and later, all of Earth. And now Ra's chariot rises over new worlds, challenging Apep's influence throughout the galaxy.

The things I come up with when showering:

Christianity in that timeline eventually died off over the course of a millennium and it started after the sons of Christ, Steve and Bob, died. Bobbi died to illness in his early 40s and Steve died in a fight versus Greek hoplites. And with their deaths, Christian expansion died, too. Christianity was left without charismatic leaders, and the priesthood was left split. The doctrines taught by the sons became fiercely debated until fights broke out and and the faith was decisively split, becoming the Bobbi faith and the Stevi'ite faith. The Bobbis were more numerous and contemporary, while the Stevi'ites were zealous and traditional. Christianity turned inwards and against itself. Over the centuries, they became prone to missionary work by Kemetic priests and steadily declined. Many calls to re-unite the faith were attempted, but all failed. The followers of Steve and Bob couldn't get along for longer than a decade. Eventually, they dwindled into near nothingness, with only pockets worshiping Steve and Bob in secret to this day, kept secret and aided by the Cult of Apep.

I got leviathans DLC for Stellaris, and I wanted to play into the joke of "those damn butterflies will destroy the entire galaxy" and create a butterfly race for each genocidal empire, named Ethir-A (fan. purifier), Ethir-B (Rav. swarm) and Ethir-C (genocidal robots).


the problem is, right, that you can't use any portrait other then the robotic portraits for robots. so I tried to download the Synth. Portraits mod, but still, with butterfly robots, I CANNOT MAKE A ROBOT EMPIRE WITH THEM.

So, I’ve been nonstop listening to the “worker” stellaris advisor voice and I just can’t stop.

Things Myrensis learned in Stellaris today:

Never ever, ever ever ever, ever ever, join an AI Ally declared war unless you have the forces in place to carry out the war as though said ally doesn't exist.

Ally declares war on some imperialist tools, my fleets are divided because I have connections to said Imperialists on opposite sides of their territory, but ally is only 2 jumps away from the border system where one of my fleets is located, so no big deal right? I'll just meet up with them.

2 years later, ally fleets have yet to leave their home system, and I've just finally recovered all of my territory after the enemy massed all their ships and punched through one of my two border systems and I had to run the other fleet all the way around my empire to push them back.

Now just waiting for the enemy to hit max war exhaustion since, even though we're way over acceptance limit for status quo peace, ally who declared war (and therefore the only one who can end it) is apparently still waiting for... God? Me? Somebody I guess, to go conquer all of their claims for them.

In other news, my 'allies' now beat out my neighboring Imperialist rivals for top spot on my 'Exterminate with extreme prejudice' list.
