This is an idea I've wanted to work on for... golly, like a year now. Finally made one, coincidentally at the same time as Krogon,
but we agreed that I'd post my version of it. I hope you enjoy.
Title: Chip Off the Ol' Bloc
The Issue: A whistleblower recently announced that, despite banning political parties throughout @@NAME@@, a powerful and fast-growing secret "bloc" of politicians has begun unofficially negotiating with and helping other politicians within the bloc. This has lead to a growing threat of a one-party dominance over @@NAME@@.
Validity: Followup to #657.3
Option 1: "I can not believe the nerve of these people!" slams @@RANDOMNAME@@ of the Independent Party, showing you a poll taken by several like-minded anti-party government officials on whether the bloc members should be impeached. "Here we are, trying to run a partisan-free government, and instead we have what's effectively a party trying to take advantage of it! Everyone involved in this bloc must be impeached, before they take over parliament!"
[effect] the truly democratic non-partisan independent government is so set on purging like-minded officials that it's basically one big party
Option 2: "Oh, shocking, shocking this is. Of course, we wouldn't have this problem if we had planned political parties," says @@RANDOMNAME@@, who works under the Independent Party, showing you a poll on the matter which was answered by a small number of like-minded government officials whose ideologies are nearly opposite of yours. "What you should do is reinstate national parties, and install some sort of... oh, lets say 'quota' for each one. That way people with opposing viewpoints will be fairly represented, and one no more powerful than the other."
[effect] the truly democratic multi-partisan equal government is so well-balanced and properly allocated that it's basically one big party
Option 3: "No way! This has been the greatest idea you've ever had, @@LEADER@@!" exclaims Independent Party member @@RANDOMNAME@@, one of the government officials accused of being in the uncovered bloc, showing you a poll on how great you are. "The fact that people elected us like-minded officials should tell you what they really want, and we happen to be 'working together' since that's what governments do. If you'd like to join us in helping promote some of our like-minded politicians and ideologies, and prosecute that hack who accused us of conspiring, I wouldn't blame you. Maybe we could even return the favor."
[effect] the truly democratic non-partisan independent government is so agreeable and like-minded that it's basically one big party
