A bit of history...
Luna Mysteria was built in 1980 and spent most of its days sailing around Khayr var before being shipped to Lake Hai'lu'kai in 1998, there it sat for a few years before being purchased by Zoe Mariner, who's parents run a ferry company that sails between the island of the Aurora Confederacy to the main land as well as to the nation of Nikolia. Zoe is in charge of the road freight division who's main job is to keep the ferries stocked. For sailing in harbours and on confined waterways, the Luna Mysteria also has a small 23hp diesel engine which can push the boat to around 5 knots (eventually!). When under sail the propeller is de-clutched from the engine but remains connected to an electric generator which enables the propeller to be used to drive the generator and so provide 24v DC and so keep the batteries topped off. Under sail Luna Mysteria can reach 7 knots meaning she won't win any races however thats not the job of this boat, she is purely a recreational boat, yet despite its small size, it is perfectly at home sailing in coastal waters or undertaking longer voyages in open water.

To help Zoe and Micky know where they are, the ship has a full electronic chart system as well as a weather radar, navigation lights are also fitted to the craft, both for when sailing at night under sail and for when under motor power, (yes the lights under R/L laws are slightly different for when sailing under power or under sail)

The boat is also cramped inside so anyone who is of a larger build, either in weight or height might find the boat cramped, anyone over 6 feet in height will have to watch their head if they come aboard.

Thus, technically, it is the Malika Aljazirat II. However, the 'II' got omitted when the 'old' one was discarded by the SPN, and although this one has already been more or less a holiday/leisure ship in 1991, when the Federal Republic was founded, the new ship prefix SFSS (Shamsiyyan Federal Sailing Ship), which replaced the ones of the Shamsiyyan People's Navy, got included in her name, too, rather as a relic reminding of her own history.
Sounds unusual, but this history and practice is way more common in Shamsiyya than one would believe.

Yes, it's pretty much like that. In this case, the 'original' would be the 1933 Gorch Fock, and the one that comes to Sinope would be the 1958 one, if she were discarded.
