We take allegations like yours very seriously, and feel that you have unfairly placed a boycott on Starlight Suites. While our chain does not do business in The Sherpa Empire, we still wish to be one of the top choices of your people when they travel to locations in which we do have a presence. Your dissatisfaction with us seems to be putting us in with association with Vamos Papi, and their advertisements of Lexi Patterson. We are not Vamos Papi, and while there are other ways that an internet search engine can market other then using an attractive female and sex appeal, we are surprised that you do not realize using that in the hotel business, especially when one is upgrading the mattresses throughout their chain, using sex appeal is perfectly fine.

I am gathering that you read too much into those global economy and trade threads that are out there where all these lovely resort hotels pop up, talking about all of the outstanding and wonderful features that their hotel chain has. You would think that they are making the hotel a vacation in itself. There is a time and place for that, but we believe that you folks at IRACT do not truly know the Starlight customer. We are not a resort. We do not have in-room saunas and three separate gift shops, coupled with multiple five-star restaurants. Should hotels like that use sex appeal in their advertising? Certainly, you can say that they should not.

That is not Starlight Suites. Contrary to what one seems to read out there, there are people out there, and quite a lot of them, who just want their hotel to be a place to sleep. They don’t need all of that bullshit attached to it that doubles and triples the room rate. These people also don’t want to stay in a complete rat hole, either. That is where Starlight Suites fits in. We offer a great room, but at a rate that will allow you to spend your money on other things. We are a budget hotel, for the real people of the world. Not the rich people, who are the only ones who can afford those ridiculous rates that the resort chains brag about. And sometimes, all the real people of the world want to do, is sleep on a comfortable mattress. If they are with a companion, all the better.

There was nothing wrong with our advertisements. We did not exploit Lexi Patterson, any exploitation concerns need to be taken up with Stafford City Speedway.

NSSCRA: YEEZIES TAKE FRONT ROW AT C. SHANEVILLE
Shreeves' qualifying woes extend to home race

CENTRAL SHANEVILLE - It will be a very good start to the NSSCRA (Nationstates Stock Car Racing Association) seventh season Chase for Kanyean team Glorious Free Republic Motorsports, as two of their three Chase-bound drivers occupy the front row to start the Central Shaneville 300 here. Thea Alvarez, driver of the #46 Multiversal Automotive Coatings Chadwick, took the Vilaye Energy Drink Pole Award, with teammate Skip Stiller in the #3 QED Car Rentals Chadwick a close second. Their other teammate, regular season champion Jeremiah Brooke, will be starting twelfth in the #18 Hyde Medical Group Chadwick.

The Central Shaneville 300 marked the season's very first battle for the open charter, with Vannish WGP standout Jessica Franssen beating out Cocoabo #28 for the spot by virtue of a faster qualifying time. Franssen, returning to the #01 VM for her third race of the season, will start in the sixteenth position. "The open charter battle seems like a good idea", said Alvarez. "If multiple drivers want to enter, but only one spot, it's only fitting that they race for it." It has been proposed that hometown drivers who want the open charter automatically get it, but that rule is still under consideration.

ShaneEyoho Motorsport, Central Shaneville's NSSCRA team, has been struggling throughout the season, and their home race is no exception. Shane Wray (#20) starts thirty-first, David Land (#91) thirty-eighth, while Jeff Shreeves (#29) fails to qualify yet again, despite him being expected to be familiar with the track. "You gotta admire his determination though, and his team for not giving up on him", commented Brooke. "Determination and perseverance are important, yes, but they're not the only things that matter", added Stiller. "You gotta have skill. Funding helps, too. And support. Shreeves' team is doing its part, but the fans are not. It must be really disheartening to see how few people there are to cheer for their hometown drivers." Indeed, the Central Shaneville Speedway was more than half empty, even as a large pack of Kanyeans were present to show support for the GFR trio.

All qualifying sessions and races will be broadcast live on SKYNET (Saint KanYe NETwork) Sports Channel 12, and online at nsscra.skynet.stk.

[Vilita and Turori]

Central Shaneville 300, Central Shaneville Speedway :: As the Regular Season came to a close in a disappointing fashion for Vilita and Turori Motorsports with Centur Tiones just one teammate passing one more car away from qualifying for the NSSCRA Playoffs, the disappointment was put on the back burner and the focus turned to Central Shaneville, home of the Central Shaneville 300 at the D-Shaped Central Shaneville speedway - an event that was hyped up to no avail of the locals who barely showed for the opening practice and qualification sessions at the track.

Still searching for their first Vilaye Pole Award of the season, Vilita and Turori Motorsports drivers set pace one by one... and each worse than the one before them until finally defending NSSCRA champion River 'Shark' Suzgar II put up a decent lap to put one of Vilita and Turori's cars into the Top 5 starting positions. Suzgar would ultimately end up in the fourth starting position for the third consecutive race which was both parts invigorating and frustrating for the driver of the #14 Vilitan Tourism Dart. The team had announced a plan heading into the Playoffs that would see the teams three major sponsors, the Vilitan Tourism Bureau, the Vilisorma Beverage Company through its signature product Vilaye Energy Drink, and Lopinka based Toys '4' All; each act as the primary sponsor for one race during each round of the playoffs and doing so in that exact order with the Vilitan Tourism Council taking the first event of each round, Vilaye Energy Drink sponsoring the middle race and Toys '4' All sponsoring the #14 Dart for the third and final race of each playoff round.

While Suzgar struggled to start the NSSCRA's 7th season, the announcement that Suzgar's sponsor Vilaye Energy Drink would become the official sponsor of the series Pole Award also seemed to spark Suzgar and the #14 Vilita and Turori Motorsports team into a higher gear. In attempting to claim the first ever Vilaye Pole Award - to which Suzgar narrowly missed out to The Sherpa Empires Tsering Shu at the Ferret Lands, then once again was bested by only one driver in qualifying on the outside pole one race later in Dealmaker Valley, the defending series champion has shown that they really are one of if not the best driver and team in the field. No team on the NSSCRA circuit has outperformed Suzgar since the race weekend where Vilaye Energy Drink was named as Pole Award sponsor - with Suzgar collecting over 300 points in those 8 races. Only one other driver - Jeremiah Brooke of Glorious Free Republic Motorsports, is even in the same ball park as Suzgar in regards to total point accrual over the final eight events of the NSSCRA 7 Regular Season.

Unfortunately for Vilita and Turori Motorsports, Suzgar is the only of their drivers that appears in the Top 10 of the 'last 8 races' points chart, a stark contrast from the opening stretch of the season that saw very strong starts for both #2 Centur Tiones and #41 Yraaga Gilli'i.

While none of Vilita and Turori Motorsports drivers have claimed a Vilaye Pole Award yet, or started on pole position in the five regular season points paying events that preceded the awarding of the Pole Award naming rights to Vilaye, there is one team on the circuit that has had little trouble collecting Pole Position - Glorious Free Republic Motorsports.

The Trio of drivers from Saint Kanye is the only active team on the circuit that has seen all three of their full time drivers claim a Vilaye Energy Drink Pole Award with Skip Stiller leading the way in the #3 QED Car Rentals Chadwick having posted the fastest time in qualifying for three races during the NSSCRA Regular Season, two of which came after the naming rights were awarded to Vilaye Energy Drink.

Stillers teammate the regular season Points Leader Jeremiah Brooke in the #18 Hyde Medical Group Chadwick sat on the Vilaye Energy Drink pole position at the Tropicoast Beach Circuit while the third full-time Glorious Free Republic competitor, Thea Alvarez in the #46 Multiversal Automotive Coatings Chadwick is on the pole for the Central Shaneville 300 earning the first Vilaye Pole Award of the playoffs while having also previously set fast time in qualifying for the Toys '4' All 500 at the Lonngeylin Ring in Vilita. Glorious Free Republic Motorsports drivers have accounted for nearly half of all Vilaye Pole Award's handed out and have been regularly seen already sipping away at their custom designed Vilaye Beverages that have now been released to the general public as part of the Vilisorma Beverage Company's continuing relationship with the NSSCRA.

Cans representing all 16 Playoff Drivers as well as two special edition cans can be found in specially marked packages wherever Vilaye Energy Drink is sold. Most cans include a flag, likeness, signature and official number markings of the playoff driver with the exception of the cans representing the drivers from Vangaziland due to considerations surrounding their pre-existing agreements with REDUP Energy Drink.

‭IRACT has asked me to write to you on their behalf in response to your email since none of them are fluent in English. You seem to misunderstand the reason why your company was blacklisted by IRACT. According to Zhang Bo at the Guilin Racing Club, your company helped put Lexi Patterson on the race track as a publicity stunt. A woman who was chosen because she would look good in your ads got to race at the expense of whatever other driver might have had that opportunity, had someone been chosen based on their skill or experience. IRACT is in the business of motorsport, not sport theatre, and they say they will not reward such behavior by doing business with any of the complicit parties.

‭I hope this clears up any confusion about the reason why IRACT will not do business with your company.

‭The Chase started well for the Sherpa Empire, and especially for Liangmei Li, who finished 2nd in Central Shanesville. She was disappointed not to snag the win and lock down a place in the next round, but she tried not to be too obvious pouting about it. She was still in a good position, and she knew it was bad PR to pout too blatantly.

‭Kai Qiang hadn't gotten enough sleep, and he had not managed to find any good breakfast places near the track -- the food in Central Shanesville was so bland! -- but arriving at the track on race day had a way of waking him up. The excitement was even better than caffeine. He got off to an early lead, but couldn't hold onto it after he had to pit for tires because one of them was losing pressure. He managed to fight his way back up to 6th, which put him 5th in the Chase standings.

‭Tsering Chu got off to a lackluster start, struggling to get out from behind that pesky cocoabo and really wishing she had been just a little faster in qualifying to avoid this situation. As weird as it was to see a bird driving, the cocoabo was surprisingly good at blocking. She eventually managed to get past it, only to have the infernal bird go flying past her again as the last laps wound down.

‭Among NSSCRA fans back home in the Sherpa Empire, IRACT's response to the Patterson situation was highly controversial. There had been many debates in sports bars around the country, and many flame wars online. In post-race interviews, Beihua asked the drivers to weigh in.

‭"It's ridiculous," said Liangmei Li. "There's nothing wrong with being a beautiful woman, and IRACT shouldn't be punishing Lexi Patterson. It's pretty typical, though. Racing is still a very male-dominated sport, and IRACT is all run by a bunch of men from Guilin. Look at Qiang Kai and his crew -- all male. If IRACT had their way, that's what the whole field would look like."

‭"I think we've all talked about Lexi Patterson more than she deserves," Qiang answered when it was his turn to be interviewed. "And she already got more time on the track than she deserved. There are probably a lot of fans out there that would give their left nut -- or their left boob or whatever -- for the opportunity to race in an NSSCRA race, even if they had to pay for the experience rather than someone paying them to race. But for some reason it's 'exploitation' when Lexi Patterson gets to do it. She didn't have any more right to be there than Lakpa, Lhamu, and Lhami off the street, and she doesn't have any more right to be paid for signing autographs than I have a right to be paid for taking a dump. Can we please move on?"

‭"Banning her from IRACT is a little extreme, but she shouldn't have tried to take advantage the way she did," Tsering Chu signed. "I agree with Qiang that we should move on."

‭Arjun Bhandari was at the Flyish Fish Taxi garage. It was stifling hot in spite of the cloudy weather, and he had too many things going on at once. The phone in the dispatch office was ringing, a mechanic was trying to explain what was wrong with one of the cabs, Bhandari did not know enough about cars to understand the explanation, and his personal cell phone was vibrating in his pocket. "Hold that thought; I need to answer the phone," he told the mechanic hurried into the office. "Hello, Flying Fish Taxi," he answered the phone. "Is that the one near Seven Stars Park? Okay..." He was typing as he talked, his cell phone was still buzzing in his pocket, and the mechanic was waiting out in the garage. "There's a taxi a couple blocks away. It'll be there in a few minutes. Yes. Thank you. You're welcome." He put the office phone down, then reached into his pocket to see who the missed call on his personal phone was from. It was his old boss, Xue Gong. Bhandari didn't know why Gong wanted to talk to him, though he had a suspicion it was probably related to NSSCRA in some way. Gong knew that Bhandari was Kai Qiang's business partner, and Bhandari knew that this season of NSSCRA must be causing all sorts of headaches for Gong. IRACT and Kai Qiang were both picking fights with foreign companies, and there had been a lot of smut going around. "Do you mind if I return this call?" he asked the mechanic. "You can just take a break for a couple minutes."

‭"Okay."

‭Bhandari checked to see if Gong had left a message. He had, but it didn't say what the call was about, just that Bhandari should call back when he had a moment. The office phone rang again before he could call Gong back. He took the call and sent out their taxi, then picked up the cell phone again and called Gong.

‭"Arjun! I'm glad I got hold of you!" Gong answered the phone.

‭"Hello, Mr. Gong," Arjun said cheerfully. "How are things at the Ministry of Culture?"

‭"The usual," Gong said. "Shit is always hitting the fan, and I have to deal with it, but it feels good when I can make things go right. How's the taxi business?"

‭"Well, we're still in business," said Arjun. "And Qiang Kai only sometimes looks at me like he thinks I'm an idiot when he's around."

‭"That's good, but I didn't call just to ask how you were doing," said Gong. "I assume you know who Lexi Patterson is?"

‭"Yeah, what about her?"

‭"Do you know if there's anything going on between her and Qiang Kai? You know, flirting, dating, one night stand, anything like that?"

‭Bhandari thought it was a weird thing to be asking about, but he answered anyway. "I don't think so. He doesn't like her, and I think he's still hot for Thea Alvarez when it comes to looks. He says he's not into blondes. You know, some people think Ellie Lindskog is hot, so we were talking about it. I thought she looked good in that movie she was in, but Qiang said he wasn't into blondes and he didn't see the appeal. I dunno. I think he's kind of intimidated by Lindskog, but you can't really blame him. She looks like she could throw him across the room. But I thought she looked kind of good, like..."

‭"Arjun, I don't need you to rate all the women in NSSCRA," Gong cut him off. "I don't know why I need to ask this when he looks like a teenage lesbian, but does Patterson like Qiang that you know of?"

‭"No, not that I heard of."

‭Gong went on to ask about Kai Qiang's relationship with Mendok Sherpa, and he also asked if ‭Qiang was interested in politics. Bhandari didn't know why Gong was asking such things, but he still answered the questions. The whole conversation was a bit odd, but he didn't have much time to ruminate on it. He had to get back to work. He went back out in the garage and apologized to the mechanic for how long he had been on the phone.

Four Vangazi Battle In Central Shanesville

There is something about a NSSCRA driver that makes them the fighter pilot of the motorsports world. Their race involves the constant swapping of paint. Your tires are likely to kiss the wall at least once each race day. Pit stops are often and hard fought. Velocity stays at a continuous high. WGPC drivers are more like attack pilots. Their race is more strategic, as opposed to the tactical stock car field. Each move is a well planned strike.

This means NSSCRA drivers are likely to spend parts of each race at different stages of the field. It's what makes some people only fans of stock cars. VMR Corsair has brought an exciting stock car product to the Vannish fanbase. Four cars ran at the Central Shanesville 300.

Jessica Franssen snuck in to steal the open charter for the event. VTM tried to run the charter in back to back events, with NSSCRA moving to the Oceanic nation next race week. Her best stretch came between miles 240-270. Here she began to catch up to the top 10. She got as high as 12th before having to pit.

Her crew didn't put up the fastest pit stop. Her exit from pit lane was also a little sloppy with extra wheelspin. She seemed to slip on spilled oil that burned off as the car accelerated. Her finish would place her 26th. It was another underwhelming result, but she once again finished ahead of season regulars.

Franssen's final push saw her pass both Gilli'i and Ezis within the last three laps. After the race Jess was told Vilaye Energy drink was producing a can for every team but the Vannish. With her characteristically bubbly laughter she quipped, "I think that's because the Vilitan's already helped Vannish business enough with that win in Audioslavia." She spoke of a WGP2 victory by VTM's foreign driver. Cocoabo #23 finished the race with a DNF. A few points might have given VTM a Constructors' championship. Vannish Motors walked away with driver and team honors instead. Baker fought throughout a tough top 10 to cut off another close competitor for both cups, cementing the effect.

It sounds reasonable not to feature cars under rival sponsorship, at first glance. There are other teams that feature energy drink sponsorships though. Cans displayed so far also had designs limited to national flags. The conclusion is that REDUP is not the reason for the omission. Many speculate that VTM made a call to keep out the Vannish.

REDUP Energy has not released a response.

Floyd Hackerbee had the best race of all Corsair drivers. The Humboltson Hotels machine would finish 4th. A slow start saw him run much of the early race close to position 20. He moved on from that after mile 60. Hackerbee started his climb into the top 10 around then. By the middle of the race, he had breached the top 5.

As the race wore on, he bounced between the top 10 and top 5. Every pit stop was a tactical battle. They were mini-races in themselves as cars fought for extra seconds.

Ellie Lindskog had a similarly consistent race. She did fall back after mile 55 or so. Her spot was closer to midpack. This was partially due to a slightly later stop. As others began to pit, Lindskog made up time. This saw her lead 30 laps starting around mile 170. Once she fell out of the top 5 a few dozen miles later, she never got back into the top 5.

She fell back as far as 9th before clocking out at 7th. The Flying Fish escaped her grasp with a great defensive performance.

Kev Schorebrook likely had the most dissappointing Vannish effort. He would tally 16th place. The worst part was that he ran more than half of the race in the top 10. Things went sour on mile 227. His car had engine trouble and had to take an extra stop. This was terrible for the company that prided itself on reliability.

Since there was no crash, there was no caution. Kev was forced to fight his way back up the pack. He never broke out of the top 15. "It wasn't the way I wanted to start the Chase", said Schorebrook. "We know we can still pull a victory and stay in this."

The series next moves to Rockii Coast for the Vilitan Mountain Challenge. All drivers still in the championship hunt will be looking to join VTM as Chase winners.

River 'Shark' Suzgar II crosses the stripe to win in Central Shaneville

Perhaps with the exception of the Pencurve Electronics 500 winner Alex Knight of Hampton Island, who without the victory at the Jalton Superspeedway would not have even qualified for the Chase, no driver entered the NSSCRA playoff round with as much momentum as Vilita and Turori Motorsports driver River 'Shark' Suzgar II. The defending NSSCRA series champion was the top point earner over the last 8 races of the regular season finishing inside the Top 10 in all eight of those events, the longest running active Top 10 finish streak on the circuit which included four Top 5 finishes and a victory in the inaugural Tropicorp 500 at the Tropicoast Beach Course. Suzgar had also qualified inside the Top 10 for eight of the previous 10 events though was still searching for that first Vilaye Energy Drink Pole Award.

As the chase kicked off in Central Shaneville, Suzgar put the #14 Vilitan Tourism Dart fourth in the starting lineup for the third consecutive event. While it wasn't the Pole Position that the team was looking for it was still a strong motivator for the start of their playoff campaign. It didn't take long after the green flag dropped before Suzgar was challenging for the top spot and throughout the race the defending NSSCRA champion solidified their position as early favorite to defend their title and claim a second NSSCRA Championship. While the season got off to a slow start for the #14 team no driver had a better record to finish the regular season with even the regular season champion Jeremiah Brooke trailing Suzgar over the last eight races. Now, with both drivers in peak form on a standard issue cookie cutter two-mile oval, Suzgar and the #14 team put together a statement victory leading chase drivers Liangmei Li, Oberst Eva Kerman and Floyd Hackerbee across the stripe while the Glorious Free Republic Drivers struggled. Regular Season Champion Jeremiah Brooke could only put together a 15th place run that leaves them just 3 points above the cut line for the Chase and never challenged with the leaders at any point during the event.

Suzgar spent much of the race battling the Sherpa Empire's Liangmei Li with the duo exchanging the lead multiple times during the second half of the race before Suzgar made a final pass on the #88 car with fifteen laps to go and held on the rest of the way to secure the win, the fourth of their career and become the first driver to secure a spot in the second round of the NSSCRA 7 playoffs. With the win the #14 team can press ahead and focus on the next round of the playoffs though they won't be looking to far ahead just yet with the home-track event at the Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course up next on the schedule and team sponsor Vilaye Energy Drink will very much be looking for the #14 Vilaye Energy Drink Dart to be running up front in their own sponsored race.

#41 Yraaga Gilli'i makes contact with #22 Kevin Cosgrove

While teammate River 'Shark' Suzgar II ran up front all race long, the same could not be said for the other Vilita and Turori Motorsports playoff driver, Yraaga Gilli'i. While the #41 Tropicorp Racing Supply Dart showed some speed early on in the race running inside the Top 10, the event became a struggle as Gilli'i complained of poor handling and an inability to pass their competitors on the 2-mile D-Shaped oval. For long stretches of the race Gilli'i would battle for position outside the Top 10 with non-playoff drivers all while the team struggled to figure out what was causing the #41 car to react poorly to the conditions in the Central Shaneville 300 while the supposedly equally prepared #14 Vilitan Tourism Dart of Suzgar was battling at the front of the pack.

There would never be a turn around for Gilli'i, in fact things would only get worse late in the event when, perhaps being overcome by the frustration of how the opening race of the opening playoff round had gone thus far, Gilli'i was a little over aggressive in trying to defend a spot from Hampton Island's Kevin Cosgrove and the two made contact forcing both to pit road for repairs and resulting in even more points lost, most critical for Gilli'i who dropped about 10 positions in the final running order as a result of the late incident - the difference between being on the cusp of the Top 12 in the standings and being dead last in the Chase Standings with just 2 races to go until the next cutoff.

It truly is a sandwich scenario for Vilita and Turori Motorsports with defending series champion River 'Shark' Suzgar II atop the NSSCRA 7 Chase Standings having already secured their place in Round 2 of the chase while Yraaga Gilli'i is looking up at the entire field in last place amongst playoff drivers knowing they have to leapfrog at least four drivers and overcome a current deficit of 12 points in order to be able to join Suzgar in the second round. Luckily for Gilli'i, the next event on the schedule is the Vilaye Energy Drink 314 at the Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course in Rockii Coast, Vilita. Gilli'i made history earlier in the season becoming the first local driver to win an internationstatal event at a Vilitan race track by taking the checkered flag in the Toys '4' All 500 at the Lonngeylin Ring. If Gilli'i can make it a clean sweep of Vilitan races then they will also secure their place in the next round of the Chase.

#60 Rockii Ezis uses fresh tires to bypass #2 Centur Tiones on track

It was a long and trying week for Centur Tiones and the #2 Tiones Lumber Dart team after narrowly missing out on a playoff berth at the Regular Season concluding Pencurve Electronics 500 despite having finished in the Top 16 of the Regular Season Point Standings as well as having been inside the Top 16 in the point standings throughout the entire NSSCRA regular season from the Drop of the Green Flag at Tundra Falls until the white flag was in the air at the Jalton Superspeedway. Despite efforts from teammate Yraaga Gilli'i to deny first-time winner Alex Knight of Hampton Island from taking Tiones' spot in the chase, a little bit of a breakdown in drafting responsibilities between the Tropicorp drivers and a little bit of unpredicted lack of aggression from the Vannish Motors Racing driver who seemed to be pleased with the fact that it would be the unheralded Knight and not the consistent performer in Tiones who would be competing for the championship resulted in a dour mood throughout the Tiones Lumber camp.

There was plenty of work to do at the shop however as they had previously been preparing to field a 3-car chase team with one development and experimental team driven by Rockii Ezis in the #60. With Tiones failure to make the Chase however the development and experimental side of the house was given another team to play with and had to transition quickly to get some of their envelope-pushing modifications onto the #2 car before it hit the track in Central Shanesville. It certainly didn't seem to be going well for the Research and development cars who both qualified much slower than the two Chase drivers did for the Central Shanesville 300. However, come race time, Centur Tiones found a bit of a groove and cut through the field climbing from their initial 34th place starting position to a Top 5 finish. While the performance came about three weeks too late to save Tiones title hopes, it was a welcome return to the form that the #2 Tiones Lumber Team had grown accustomed to in the first half of the regular season when Tiones opened with three Top 5 finishes in the opening five races of the season. For Ezis, on the other hand, the struggles continued and the #60 CoCoCo Dart posted its worst finish of the season, a lap down in the 29th spot. With Ezis unable to match the pace of Tiones, the team tried to go out of sequence on strategy by short-pitting on the last round of green flag pit stops but were caught out when the caution flew trapping them outside the lead lap.

The team is optimistic of improvement moving forward however as they return home to Rockii Coast and look to add the veteran iBen Toralmintii to the lineup for the event in hopes of teaching the young Ezis a thing or two about driving around the Vilitan Mountain Challenge course and restoring the #60 drivers confidence after a slow start to the campaign. Vilita and Turori Motorsports has set a goal of having all five drivers finish in the Top 10 while River 'Shark' Suzgar II looks to put the Vilaye Energy Drink Dart on the Vilaye Energy Drink Pole Position for the Vilaye Energy Drink 314.

Race Preview: Vilaye Energy Drink 314 @ Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course

The NSSCRA field will return to Rockii Coast for the highly anticipated Vilaye Energy Drink 314. While many fans will likely still refer to the race as The Challenge at the Rocks, the name that the event has had durings its historical dates on the NSSCRA circuit, the infusion of corporate sponsorship from the Vilisorma Beverage Company has brought about a renaissance at the historic racing facility carved out of the Rock along the Vilitan coast. Vilisorma has helped expand the appeal for fans with many new venues and events on site and even the introduction of a footsport pitch with local club Rockii Coast in town with free admission for race ticket holders on a first come first serve basis.

The event at the Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course in Rockii Coast is one the longest running continuous events on the NSSCRA schedule along with the event at the Concord Heights Raceway in Cassadaigua. No driver entered in this seasons Vilaye Energy Drink 314 event has ever won the race before but Jeremiah Brooke of Glorious Free Republic Motorsports is the defending pole sitter for the event.

The NSSCRA uses the original Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course which is a high speed banked road course and does not include use of 'The Boot' - an additional section off the backstretch which adds 30 seconds of low speed braking opportunity typically used during grand prix and open wheel competition.

Overview:

Located in the picturesque region of Vilitan right overlooking the waters of Atlantian Oceania, the Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course was carved out of the Rocks on Vilita's Rockii Coast and offers a unique challenge to all drivers. The original challenge course consists of a wide-open high intensity speed park while The Grand Prix 'Boot' modification of the Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course was a new addition to the facility in preparation for its inclusion in World Grand Prix Championship 11.

Where to Eat:

Inside of the pit area in the center of the track you will find the central eatery with all the local cuisine, as well as some brought to you by the other competing nations as well. Everything from meats to the meat free, things that fly, things that moo and things that swim. There are rumors that there will even be a 'bug eatery' and a "We'll fry It". The "We'll Fry It" is likely to command huge lines as they have been banned for quite some time in Vilita. However, organizers did not want foreign travelers to suffer just because of the healthier eating habits of those in the Tropics, so "We'll Fry It" has been granted a license to serve on premises for the race weekend. The business model is supreme as they don't supply any of the food with the price of the meal. The guest brings.... whatever they want... and "We'll Fry It" fries it for them. They will likely have a cooler filled with various meats and candies that can be purchased and fried for an additional fee, but "We'll Fry It" will fry anything under 2 square feet in size for just 7 tures.

Outside of the paddock area, the hidden gem of the course is the famed Poultry Shack in Turn 13. The Poultry Shack is an absolutely exquisite source to quench that meaty craving and they will dish it any way you can handle it. You can walk away with a leg in your hand or even a cup of soup. Fans sometimes don't like to make the walk all the way to the Shack however, in addition to the food, the view is incredible looking out over the Vilitan cliffs over the Water. Visibility at turn 13 and the shack is thought to be amongst the most impressive in the entire Island.

Cocoa-bo will be on hand with their famous delectables with small stands serving their signature chocolate topped drinks throughout the facility as well as two full-service Cocoa-bo eateries - a new edition for this season, will serve as a social 'hang-out' for fans who are spending the whole weekend at the track offering items such as Bagels for the morning, Soups and Sandwiches for Lunch or Dinner and Salads for the entire day.

Where to access the drivers:

Drivers are readily accessible to those with a Paddock Pass. However, in the Paddock the drivers are working so fans are asked to to approach the drivers. Instead, let the drivers approach you. There will also be designated driver interaction zones for fans with scheduled driver appearances posted throughout the weekend. The Vilisorma Beverage Company has also invested in a new viewing area for fans where they can safely peer into the garage area behind a plexi-glass barrier as the teams prepare their cars for the on track activities.

Where to get Free Stuff or Prizes:

You likely won't have to walk more than a few hundred yards without being coerced into taking a free sample of various products on display such as the local-based race title sponsor Vilaye Energy Drink. Check the boot area around Turn 7 for the best Vilaye booths where they will not only be giving out full beverages but they will have other prizes you can win and games for the children. A Second Vilaye Booth by the start/finish line will be double its normal size for this event given Vilaye's role as a title sponsor and will have additional activities and giveaways. Look for giveaways and handouts from other event and team sponsors throughout the Fan section of the paddock and grandstand areas.

The most exciting display however is the recurring Tiones Lumber display outside Turn 1. Tiones Lumber holds mini-lumberjack competitions for the fans at each major event at the course and you can line up to compete in many famed wood-based competitions such as the 40-foot speed climb, Long rolling, the Standing Block Chop and there will even be a team relay. The best times each day win prizes from Tiones Lumber. First prize winners will be excluded from winning on subsequent days but alternate prize winners can compete for the big prize the following day. Fans who beat the all time-records could find themselves winning free Paddock Passes or other great prizes from Tiones Lumber. There will also be a #2 Tiones Lumber Dart Show Car at the display throughout the weekend to allow pictures.

Perhaps looking to challenge Tiones Lumber for the 'most exciting display' honors, Tropicorp Racing Supply will be on hand with a new and improved 'Pit Stop Challenge" display at the end of the pit lane where fans will be able to test their ability to change a tyre or act as the fuel person so long as they first sign a release form indemnifying Tropicorp and the Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course of any injury that may occur as they attempt to set the fast times to qualify for a daily prize drawing from Tropicorp. After most recently appearing at the Pencurve Electronics 500, the Tropicorp Racing Supply Pit Stop Challenge skipped the Central Shaneville 300 in order to prepare the more extensive and interactive Pit Stop Zone at the Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course.

Logan and Sharpe Must Step Up,

The Chase kicked off in Central Shanesville the last race, and we would see our first two time winner of the season as River Suzgar, otherwise known as the Shark, ran a strong race, particularly late, to earn that distinction. For the Shark, this is a great way to begin his title defense, and with the series now heading to Rockii Coast, the VTM driver should have plenty of momentum. For Team Cassadaigua, Stacie Houston had a fine performance, finishing 8th. Afterwards she told us, “The Five Star Mobile machine was pretty good today. Not the best car of the day, but we were decent. Running eighth is a solid showing, that in this stage of the Chase is probably not going to hurt you all that much, but it does not give you much wiggle room either. So, we will have to go to Rockii Coast and have a great race. It was fun last year.” The Challenge Course saw Houston finish second in a side by side finish with Jeremiah Brooke. Brooke must have a good performance, but Houston said we should not worry about him, “Does he ever have two mediocre or bad races in a row. They won last year on that track, and they can do it again. GFM has been really good on road courses.” The GFM driver that has been especially good on road courses is Skip Stiller, and he is presently 15th.

With a driver like Stiller figuring to move up, and Brooke likely to better his position, plus Yraaga Gilli’i, who is 16th, likely to do well at home, the pressure will be on here for Meghan Sharpe and Jenna Logan. Logan was 19th at Central Shanesville, putting her 13th in the points. Last year, she finished 15th at Rockii Coast. Meghan Sharpe was only 21st in the last race, putting her 14th. She was strong at the Challenge Course last year, finishing 5th, and is confident that they can do it again, “I thought that we were heading in the right direction with our Spacebook car, but that did not continue last race. Could be a multitude of reasons, but the focus now needs to be on the road course. They are not always my favorite type of track, but this is one I enjoyed last time. I look forward to this race again.”

This is expected to be a particularly exciting race since some of the top drivers in the regular season did not start off quite as well as they wanted too last race. After this, the series heads to Concord Heights, but Team Cassadaigua will not want to have their drivers in a must win situation in their own home race. Houston says that no one is looking ahead prematurely. “The Five Star Mobile 500 will be a thriller, but right now, it’s all about running here in Vilita.”

[The Sherpa Empire]

‭Comedians in the Sherpa Empire often butted heads with the Censorship Department, and Kami and Kusang butted harder than most. They used a lot of sexual humor and vulgar language that bothered the censors.

‭When they weren't poking fun at NSSCRA, they poked fun other sports, politics, pop culture, etc. They had a segment called "Footloose" that poked fun at football in the same way that "Rat Race" poked fun at NSSCRA, and they had recently run afoul of the censors by airing an installment of "Footloose" which included footage from Taliban videos. The Taliban had kidnapped football star Jigme Sherpa a few months ago, and from time to time they posted videos in which they tormented him in various ways. Some of the things they did were not funny. Kami and Kusang weren't sick enough to air footage of severe torture, but they borrowed some of the more whimsical clips that showed the Taliban teasing Jigme and mocking the Sherpa Empire's culture -- the dunk tank, the stupid costumes, the time they dumped mice down his shirt. They had filmed a variety of bizarre skits in which they dressed Jigme up in stupid-looking costumes and staged scenes that were meant to depict the Empire's debauchery. The skit where they dressed him up as Kai Qiang using whiteface and a poorly-constructed spandex "firesuit" couldn't be aired, but the pig costume, the Chinese opera princess, the bollywood goddess, the yeti, the Dalai Lama, and Sun Wukong had all made it onto "Footloose."

‭The Censorship Department sent a warning letter telling Kami and Kusang not to air any more images from Taliban videos, and telling the network never to rerun that episode.

‭Kami and Kusang started the next episode of their show with an uncharacteristically serious discussion about freedom of speech. They talked about the warning letter, and they argued that the censors were stifling creativity and the Empire needed more free speech. And then they went into a new installment of "Rat Race," which began with Kai Qiang at the Central Shanesville Speedway ranting about Lexi Patterson.

‭"Okay, first of all," said Kami. "Lexi, on behalf of the Sherpa Empire, I want to apologize for Kai Qiang staring at your chest. He wasn't trying to objectify you; he's just too short to look you in the eye. But let's talk about what he said... It might sound like just another misogynistic rant from a sexually frustrated man, but it's actually a very interesting business proposal. There is probably someone out there who would pay to have a stool sample from their favorite celebrity."

‭"There's only one way to find out!" Kusang chimed in. "If a product fails health inspection, you have 30 days to correct the problem before your business gets shut down, so for the next 29 days..."

‭This was the point at which a guy watching from an office in the Censorship Department made the decision to take Kami and Kusang's show off the air.

‭Meanwhile, in Vilita, the race weekend was off to a good start for the Sherpa Empire's racers, with all three of them qualifying in the top 10.

‭Tsering Chu was having a blast. When she wasn't on the track driving, she was gorging herself on fried seafood, watching people embarrass themselves at the pit-stop challenge or Tiones Lumber's various competitions, and enjoying the scenic views and ocean breezes. She tried a couple of the lumberjack activities, which she wasn't good at, but it was kind of fun anyway. She noticed that Mendok seemed a little put out about something, but she couldn't imagine what. The NSSCRA season was going so well, there was no school to worry about now, and they were in such a beautiful place. What was there to be put out about?

‭Liangmei Li opted for healthier food. While Chu was people-watching and soaking up the festive atmosphere at the track, she was sunbathing on some rocks at the water's edge, and incidentally giving the paparazzi a perfect opportunity to snap some pictures of her in a bikini. This was intentional, but it wasn't the entire purpose of her sunbathing -- she really did find it relaxing.

‭When Kai Qiang and a couple of guys from his crew climbed down to the water's edge for a swim, they were careful NOT to give anyone a photo-op. After everything that had happened this year, Qiang was not eager to be photographed without a shirt on. He felt a bit weird returning to the Mountain Challenge Course. Last time he was here, he had finished a disappointing 22nd place, which left him too far down in the ranks to qualify for the season 6 championship, despite doing well in the final two races of the season. He was one of two drivers that finished ahead of Suzgar in the NSSCRA 6 finale -- but he had already been eliminated from contention because of his lackluster results in Vilita and Aji No Moto. He really hoped history wouldn't repeat itself.

[Hampton Island]

Lexi Patterson struggled over the last couple weeks since the Golden Bear 400. She had watched the Pencurve Electronics 500, and then the recent race in Central Shanesville. She had become a race fan, and felt that she could drive race cars at a competitive level. After all, she finished 29th in a sanctioned NSSCRA race. Not a great finish, but she was better then several other drivers in her first ever race. She was smart enough to realize that such a race could be a building block for future success. However, as she watched the race at Jalton she couldn’t help but notice how different it was. It definitely was not Stafford City Speedway, and she wondered how she would fare at drafting. She wanted to try. Then, the Central Shanesville race, a bigger track then Stafford City, though not Jalton. As the series prepared to move to the Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course, she could not help but notice the difference on that track. A road course, all of these different turns. How could she fare at that? She was not scared about it, and wanted to try.

Lexi did some racing over this period of time. Since it was boasted that she had success in go karts, she and a group of friends went to a local go-karting track. She would try to disguise her looks so that she would not be notice, and she would not be, moreso because the track attendant was more concerned with playing with their cellphone then actually doing their job. Lexi’s friends had no clue how to drive a go-kart competitively, so it would be an easy win for Lexi. There was a sign up sheet for a competitive race with a $1,000 grand prize that she thought about entering, but opted not too.

She had mostly stayed away from her e-mail. She sent a congratulatory message to Alex Knight for making the chase, who courteous replied with a thank you message but that was it. James McCurty had limited time now to talk to her since he was given a larger role in assuring that Knight has success during the Chase. She had ignored all messages from Vamos Papi. She knew eventually she was going to have to respond, but was not happy with them at all right now. She was very upset with the way they treated Stacie Houston, a driver she built up a ton of respect for, and someone she felt she could talk to right now if she knew how to contact her. As she read that IRACT was going to ban them, she felt good, but then read that news story even further. She, too, was banned.

Lexi turned off her computer and went to her bedroom and cried. She did not know anyone in IRACT, but knew they were one of the world’s top racing organizations. She had been exploited by Vamos Papi, and somewhat by Starlight Suites. The track completely screwed her over, and now she, as the victim of all of these was also being banned just because what she did was supposedly unprofessional. “Liangmei Li can be a pole dancer, but I am the bad person,” she thought. Then there was that crazy woman Mendok Sherpa. “Sure, she can still be the sign language interpreter for Tsering Chu, but I am the bad person.” Then, of course, Kai Qiang, who’s sexual fetishes with Mendok Sherpa are known throughout the sport. “IRACT endorses all of them, but I am the bad one.” Her sadness now turned to complete and thorough anger as she went back to her computer and turned it back on. The angry Lexi then typed up a very angry, expletive-filled rant in reply to IRACT, but then she came to her senses and realized she should send that, and erased it. She then tried a more professional reply, but gave up. Maybe it was best to not reply to them, at all.

She focused on her other messages, and found a gem in there from Jebslund. What was this? She had to look twice and read it over about five times before she could comprehend what was being written here. They wanted her to race for them? This came out of no where for her, she didn’t really talk to any of the Jebslund drivers during the Golden Bear 400 weekend, but knew they were successful. But, her last name wasn’t Kerman, would that be a problem? She planned on accepting this offer, but knew that this time she would read between the lines on everything. There would be no just signing something just because she was told to sign it. She had learned her lesson. This cheered her up, mightily, as she typed out her acceptance of the offer and willingness to race for Jebslund. It was one going to be one of those road course things, though. She had no experience on one, but she really wanted to try it. Maybe, this would be pretty fun. Now, she was excited as she awaited their reply to see what she had to do from here.

Lexi now continued reading her email in a happier mood, and then came across another one, that cheered her up, this one from Vangaziland. This was not racing related, but she still completely enjoyed modeling, and the Royal Clothing Company was perfect. She didn’t really enjoy the Starlight Suites and the Vamos Papi advertisements though, because she wanted to be a model with class, not a model that looked like a slut. Karl Vannason seemed like the type of person she wanted to work with, someone professional who was going to treat her with respect and not just another pretty face. The offer was great, and it did not take her long to accept this offer as well.

Now, having accepted both an offer from Jebslund and Vangaziland, she knew she was going to be very busy very soon.



Meanwhile in the Vamos Papi offices,

CEO: Lexi Patterson is breaching her contract. She was supposed to be here last week for another shoot, but has not replied to any of our emails or calls.

Legal Advisor: Time to write her a strongly worded message threatening legal action.

Marketing Director: Plus make sure to include in the lawsuit how we have had other talent here planning to work with her, and paid them, but couldn’t produce the product due to Patterson’s negligence.

Legal Advisor: Will do.

First Assistant: Let’s not rush into a lawsuit quite yet. Let’s just hire a private investigator to see what she is really doing and take it from there.

CEO: Decent idea.

Marketing Director: By the way, we had people at Rockii Coast, and they took excellent pictures of Liangmei Li strutting around in her bikini. My team put together a 30-second TV advertisement of just Li walking around for 20 seconds, with only catchy music in the background while text goes across the screen about how IRACT is boycotting us for exploiting women, and that Li is one of their drivers. It ends with 10 seconds of her pole dancing. May I show you?

CEO: (After video plays): Brilliant.

Legal Advisor: They are such hypocrites. How about another 30 seconds of Mendok Sherpa screaming her sexual fetishes.

Never-Quit Shreeves Narrowly Misses out on Big Payday

Vilaye Energy Drink 314 Qualifying, Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course, Rockii Coast, Vilita :: For all the pomp, circumstance and expectations heading into the race weekend at the Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course, and for all the momentum the team carried after having two of their drivers finish in the Top 5 during the opening round of the NSSCRA 7 playoffs, Vilita and Turori Motorsports drivers got off to a thud in the Vilaye Energy Drink pole qualifying session. After having started in the 4th position for three consecutive races and in the Top 10 for eight of the previous ten events, last weeks winner River 'Shark' Suzgar could only manage to post the 13th fastest time of all drivers in the NSSCRA field. It was certainly a disappointment for Suzgar who is still looking to give his sponsor, Vilaye Energy Drink, the chance to have a photo session with their car winning their sponsored session. Of course, this will be the only race weekend where Suzgar gets to chances to delivery for his sponsor. While Vilaye Energy Drink is the official sponsor of the pole award at every NSSCRA event, this race in Rockii Coast, Vilita is the only event where the Vilisorma Beverage Company is also the title sponsor of the race itself. More concerningly for Vilita and Turori Motorsports, however, would be the fact that in 13th position, Suzgar was the fastest of the Vilita and Turori Motorsports contingent which included five different drivers as the team added veteran iBen Toralmintii to their lineup for the home track event.

Yraaga Gilli'i, Vilita and Turori's other driver who is qualified for the Chase and who needs a strong home performance in the Vilaye Energy Drink 314, would be disappointed with their mid-pack starting position in 20th. Luckily however the wide track at the Vilitan Mountain Challenge course certainly invites passing and Gilli'i should be able to quickly pass some easy targets directly in front of him to close the gap on the leaders. Just behind Gilli'i in 23rd, 25th and 26th would be the remainder of the Vilita and Turori contingent with the three cars that have transitioned to Vilita and Turori's research and development program for the remainder of the season all timing in within the same time bracket - with #2 Centur Tiones, the only full-time driver since the start of the season who has been relegated to Research and Development during he Chase, leading the small group. The real drama came through the #60 CoCoCo Dart however as Ezis narrowly avoided the embarassment of failing to qualify at the home track event beating Central Shaneville's Jeff Shreeves by just four hundredths of a second. Hampton Islands James McCurty led all qualifying drivers with a strong fifth place qualifying run, a rare showing for a qualifying driver in the Top 5 positions. But it was the surprising run by Warren Pawstone of the Ferret Lands as second fastest qualifying driver that set up the drama surrounding Ezis who was a bit slow on their lap and fell into the danger area with the remainder of the qualifying pack. No one would have been able to project that it would be Shreeves that would have provided the greatest challenge however as the Cnetral Shaneville driver has yet to qualify for a single event all season and has been the subject of persistent replacement rumors. With Shreeves yet to have started an event yet this season one has to wonder whether if Shreeves had turned in a lap just a tenth of a second quicker might the Hampton Island driver had been in for a major pay day from Vilita and Turori Motorsports to appease their sponsor CoCoCo either in putting the CoCoCo logos onto Shreeves #29 machine or perhaps even to compel Shreeves and the Hampton Island team to withdraw car #29 from the event in order to move the #60 machine one place above in the standings. In the end, both embarassment and the need for questionable financial transactions were avoided as Shreeves Did-Not-Qualify streak was extended and Ezis did just enough to put himself in the field. Of course the home fans will be looking for an improvement in the home teams performance on race day as they look for their first ever home driver victory at the Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course.

While Vilita and Turori Motorsports drivers have once again missed out on the chance to claim the Vilaye Energy Drink Pole Award - being the only team amongst the "Big 5" to have yet to claim top spot in qualifying for a points race during the NSSCRA's 7th season, the teams two Chase drivers would still be represented on Vilaye's special collectible edition cans released for the start of the NSSCRA Playoffs. For River 'Shark' Suzgar, the agony of pole qualifying has been apparent throughout much of the season. Suzgar actually got the season off to a fast start as the defending Series Champion, riding that momentum through to the Exhibition at Tundra Falls starting that event from the top spot. Once the regular season got started off, however, Suzgar couldn't manage to put either the #14 Vilitan Tourism Dart, the #14 Toys '4' All Dart or - most importantly, the #14 Vilaye Energy Drink Dart on pole position.

Suzgar was on the outside of the front row for two consecutive races in The Ferret Lands and at the Dealmaker Valley Battle Grounds in Greythrone. Suzgar entered the race weeekend at the Vilitan Mountain Challenge course on a string of three consecutive fourth place starts and beyond that had four other Top-10 qualifying effortes to his name. With the highest average starting position of all Vilita and Turori Motorsports drivers, it is likely not a matter of if, but when will River 'Shark' Suzgar finally put the Vilaye Energy Drink sponsored machine on the Vilaye Energy Drink Pole. The other Vilita and Turori Motorsports driver in the NSSCRA Chase hasn't challenged quite as much for the pole award though does have a pair of Top 3 starts to their credit. Yraaga Gilli'i in the #41 Tropicorp Racing Supply Dart only posted a single Top 10 start over the first six races of the NSSCRA 7 Regular Season - and that was an 8 th place qualifying effort at the Tundra Falls 500. With an average starting position outside the Top 20 over that span, Gilli'i was regularly up for the "Most Improved Driver" honors from race to race by overtaking more opponents than any other competitor in improving between starting position and finishing position. This was never more evident than at the Lonngeylin Ring where Gilli'i stormed through the field from a lowly 33rd starting position to claim victory in the event that secured the #41 cars spot in the Chase field and earned them the right to be a part of the Vilaye Energy Drink NSSCRA Chase Collectible Series.

Kommunikationsverzerrung Künstlichkerman was not the sort of AI to waste cycles if it could be avoided. the time between his message being sent and Lexi's result had seen him, among other things, formulate a response to virtually any answer Lexi could have possibly given, as well as looking into ticket prices and hotels near one of his offices. It was because of this that, within seconds of receiving and reading her answer, he sent out another email, already on his way to the airport where his private jet was kept, offering her several meeting times and giving her a briefing on what Sei Nah Fleet Systems did even as he booked tickets and looked over the contract hard copy once more for errors, his mobile platform's blue robotic eyes, made to look like human eyes, looking over the document. Kommunikationsverzerrung Künstlichkerman had chosen a human-looking mobile platform for the meeting, a blue-eyed redhead male standing 6'10 with a soldier's build and a light smattering of freckles, his favorite for dealing with humans.

NSSCRA: "SHARK" WINS FIRST CHASE RACE OF SEASON
Kanyeans non-factors in C. Shaneville

CENTRAL SHANEVILLE - St. Kanye's Glorious Free Republic Motorsports may have taken three seats in the Nationstates Stock Car Racing Association (NSSCRA) Chase, but there was really nothing to celebrate about in the team's first playoff race this season, the Central Shaneville 300 here in the race's namesake country. None of the three GFR Chadwicks - Skip Stiller's #3, Jeremiah Brooke's #18 or Thea Alvarez's #46 - were in a position to take the win, which went to Vilita and Turori Motorsports' River Suzgar, the defending NSSCRA champion. "Shark", in the #14 car, held on to the victory over Liangmei Li (#88), denying the Sherpa Chaser her first win this season. Eva Kerman (#13), Jebslund's sole entry to the Chase, was third, followed by Vannish racer Floyd Hackerbee (#75). VTM's Centur Tiones (#2) followed up an unsuccessful campaign to make the playoffs with a respectable fifth-place finish. The best result from GFR came from Alvarez, who ended up just twelfth despite starting on pole. Brooke was fifteenth, while the veteran Stiller was just twenty-third. The hometown drivers did as poorly as expected, with Shane Wray (#20) starting thirty-first and finishing two places worse, and David Land (#91) starting thirty-eighth and finishing at the same spot. Vangaziland's part-timer Jessica Franssen (yes, the WGP champion driver) finished twenty-sixth in the #01 machine, while Newmanistan's three replacement drivers, Travis Barkley (#64), Kevin Daniels (#63) and Zachary Cornell (#59) took twenty-first, twenty-seventh and twhirty-second, respectively. It was Barkley and Cornell's debut, whereas Daniels was elevated from his former part-time status.

"A decent result for the 46 team, but not really where we want to be at the start of this Chase", said Alvarez. "At least we stayed in the top twelve among the Chasers. There's still two races for us to improve our place and maybe get wins to lock us into the next round." The next race in the schedule is the Vilaye Energy Drink 314 at the Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course. Alvarez's teammates, Stiller and Brooke, both have confidence entering this race, as Stiller is known to be good at road courses while Brooke was the defending winner of this race. "Really hoping for a turnaround here, and I don't mean a spin", joked Stiller. "A top ten would be very much preferable than how we ended up here. Need to dig ourselves out of this hole." Stiller is presently second to last in points among the sixteen playoff drivers, with only VTM's Yraaga Gilli'i (#41) behind him. "As for me, I'm hoping for a repeat of last season's result. Will it be as exciting as it was then? I hope so." Brooke famously edged out Team Cassadaigua's Stacie Houston (#27) for the victory by 0.007 second; after the race, the two met and befriended each other. This led to many NSSCRA fans pairing the two drivers and giving them the combined moniker of "Stacemiah".

NSSCRA: HOUSTON ON POLE AT VILITA
Last season's bridesmaid gunning for better outcome this time

ROCKII COAST - The Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course is a treacherous track, but Stacie Houston of Cassadaigua is aiming to tame it.

Houston, driver of Team Cassadaigua's #27 Five Star Mobile car, has claimed the pole for the Vilaye Energy Drink 314 here at Rockii Cast, Vilita. She is known to be a decent road course racer, and was even six laps away from winning this very event last season. Houston ultimately lost the race to St. Kanye's Jeremiah Brooke in a photo finish, but gained the Yeezie's friendship afterward.

Brooke himself also had a good qualifying run, putting the #18 Hyde Medical Group Chadwick at eighth in the grid. "I've been doing my preparation for this race, practicing as much in the simulator as I do on track. Hope to win this thing again, you know", said Brooke. "I know Stacie's hungry to prevent that from happening, but I'm not taking it easy myself. In fact, let's have a bet. If I win, you pay for dinner for me and the 18 crew. I'll do the same for you and the 27 team if you win. How's that?" Brooke also commented on the release of his special Vilaye Chase can. "They [Vilaye] sent me a case of the stuff to try out. It was good enough that I ordered another for myself, another for my crew, and another two just to hand to my fans that I meet. It's nice to support such a company that does a lot for the series."

Also having a good start of the race is Skip Stiller, Brooke's teammate at Glorious Free Republic Motorsports. The veteran Kanyean driver, who pilots the #3 QED Car Rentals Chadwick, will begin the race in the third position. "The plan here is to not only use my ability in maneuvering through all the twists and turns of a road course, but also capitalize on how some of the less experienced drivers' mistakes. Sometimes they'll slow down, unsure of the curves ahead, or misjudge the curves, and all I need is to get past. For the better drivers, I might need to ride their air, maybe move them a little."

Meanwhile, GFR's third driver, Thea Alvarez, starts just 17th, but has high hopes, considering she was in sixth place at last year's event. "Me and my team, we've both improved a lot from last season. We have learned much in the way of strategy. I have reason to believe that the 46 car will be contending for that victory, too", said the driver of the #46 Multiversal Automotive Coatings Chadwick.

Vilita and Turori Motorsports will have a whopping five cars in the race, just as they did in their other home race, the Toys 4 All 500 at the Lonngeylin Ring. Aside from the usual trio of #2 Centur Tiones, #14 River Suzgar and #41 Yraaga Gilli'i (the latter two of which are in the Chase with the three Kanyean drivers), VTM will bring Rockii Ezis in the #60 and iBen Toralmintii in the #77. Aside from the full-timers, Ezis will be a threat, as he finished fourth in last season's 314.

The Tropicorp Racing Supply Pit Crew Challenge, last seen during the Pencurve Electronics 500 at Jalton Superspeedway, will return for this race weekend. It remains to be seen if Kanyean challengers will try to get the win in the side event after being shut out at home (a Hampton Islander was the best tire changer at Jalton, while the refueling category was won by a Cassadagan).There is also the Tiones Lumberjack Challenge, sponsored by the same company that's on the hood of Tiones' #2, which will likely draw crowds as well.

‭Tsering Chu wasn't cynical enough to think that Rockii Ezis would wreck her on purpose, but it was still a shock when he skidded in front of her, and the next thing she knew they were both out of the race. In a matter of seconds, her weekend went from the time of her life to a complete disaster. She was now dead last in the Chase standings, and had no realistic chance of advancing to the next round unless she won the Five Star Mobile 500. It was still mathematically possible that Hackerbee, Gilli'i, Logan, and Qiang would all tank and she could catch them on points, but realistically, she knew she couldn't expect all of them to tank that badly at the same race. And she would feel sorry for Qiang if it did happen.

‭Some of the fans back home were more cynical than Tsering, and there was some gossip speculating about whether the crash was intentional. Tsering remained convinced that it wasn't. Ezis had never shown any particular hostility toward her, and she just didn't think he would crash on purpose. She told the fans to leave him alone, but a few continued circulating conspiracy theories. Some of them picked up on old rumors surrounding Cocoabo #28's crash and the transfer of the cocoabo's charter to VTM. One especially paranoid blogger also put forth the theory that Mendok Sherpa was a Vilitan spy whose real name was Miirda Siwaapa, and he couldn't understand why nobody believed him.

‭Kai Qiang thought the Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course must be home to a spirit that hated him, but he had no idea what he'd done to offend it. For the second year in a row, he'd qualified for the Chase, had a good qualifying time in Vilita, and then botched the actual race. Maybe he hadn't been praying as much as he should? He decided that before going to Concord Heights to prepare for the Five Star Mobile 500, he would go home to Guilin to visit the family shrine, tidy up his parents' graves, and ask them to watch out for him. Especially his mother, and not just because a female spirit would have better luck influencing events in Cassadaigua. She still held a special place in his memory. She had been so kind and beautiful... Not only had she been a good person; the love and joy she brought into other people's lives made them better people too.

‭While he was in Guilin, he also brought his sister to visit their old childhood home, which she hadn't seen for years. He had sold the house to the Li River Speedway, and it looked much different from how it had been when they were growing up there. There was a Glückliche Ratte franchise in the kitchen and living room, an ice cream parlor in the old master bedroom, and a noodle shop that had taken over the other two bedrooms and knocked out the wall between them. "It's hard to believe it's the same place..." Yuan Qiang said. "Did you really have to sell it?"

‭"It would have been impossible to have any privacy when they host races anyway," said Kai Qiang. "And I didn't have enough room for my taxi company."

‭"But it was in our family since forever!" said Yuan Qiang. "You don't think selling the house might be why the spirits won't let you win?"

‭"What else was I supposed to do?" said Kai. "The track was already here."

‭"But it was where we grew up...," said Yuan. She pointed into the stands overlooking the track. "There used to be a tree over there where I would climb..."

‭"Before you were old enough to climb in it, there was a beehive in that tree," Kai said. "I poked it with a stick, and dad was so mad when he had to drive me to the hospital."

‭Yuan looked confused. "Why did you poke it with a stick?" she asked.

"It seemed like a good idea when I was 6."

‭When they were done looking around the old family farm and Kai Qiang had stopped by to say hello to his friends at the Guilin Racing Club, they went up to the family shrine, which was on a nearby mountain, overlooking the track. Kai Qiang swept the shrine while Yuan rested her feet. "She'd help sweep if it wasn't for her feet," he assured their parents' ghosts. When it was reasonably clean, they placed flowers and incense by the graves and said some prayers. Kai Qiang made a silent promise to his parents, no matter how far he traveled or how long he was away from home he would never forget them. Racing had brought all sorts of new people and new opportunities into his life, but it didn't erase his loyalty to home and family. He assured his mother's ghost that no matter what, he would always remember her as the kindest, the most beautiful, the most important woman in his life. He really hoped she would help him win in Cassadaigua, but his love wasn't dependent on that or anything else. It was unconditional.

‭Xue Gong didn't know what to do about Vamos Papi and Kai Qiang. Vamos Papi was obviously sleazy, but using sexuality to market a product wasn't illegal, and being rude to Stacie Houston wasn't illegal either. Kai Qiang's petition to block them out of the Sherpa Empire's internet was asking too much.

‭Ordinarily, it would be a simple matter to just dismiss the petition, but Gong was convinced that Kai Qiang was dangerous -- not just on the race track, but a threat to the political stability of the Empire if he ever went into politics. Qiang didn't look or sound like a politician, and he was always finding new ways to embarrass himself, but none of his public humiliation ever seemed to make him less popular. That teflon quality could take someone a long way in politics, and Kai Qiang's hatred of the current social hierarchy would be very disruptive if he ever got elected to high office. Qiang apparently hadn't given such things any thought, but if he was out rallying people against Vamos Papi, he would also be meeting politically-minded people, making connections, collecting allies and followers. Sooner or later, he might recognize his own talent for rallying people to a cause, and he might use it for something that actually mattered.

‭There were two ways to get Qiang off his soapbox: give him what he wanted or arrest him. The problem was that what Qiang wanted was not reasonable, and Gong couldn't find any grounds to arrest him. As far as Gong could see, Kai Qiang had not broken the law since he got caught street racing at the age of 14. Being featured in other people's memes and fanfics wasn't illegal, and Gong could not find any evidence that Qiang had egged them on.

‭If only Vamos Papi or Kai Qiang would go completely off the deep end so the Ministry of Culture could just throw the book at them...

‭Liangmei Li stared in disbelief, and then disbelief gave way to fury. "I didn't give them permission to put me in their ad!" She started punching in her lawyer's phone number while the ad was still playing, but paused halfway through typing the number. "Is that supposed to be me? WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK???" She finished typing the lawyer's phone number and hit dial. Someone picked up on the other end of the line. "Dorji! Vamos Papi filmed me without my permission when I was in Vilita, and they're using it in their ads! Without my permission! We have to sue!"

‭Dorji tried to calm her down and get a more detailed explanation, but Li just went on angrily ranting about how she was going to sue Vamos Papi's pants off. She didn't want to hear that she was a public figure and they had to prove it wasn't fair use and Dorji needed to see the ad so he could figure out how strong of a case they had. She just wanted him to sue Vamos Papi out of existence.

‭Mendok knew the pregnancy test was going to be positive, but she still bought the test kit, and she still hoped that somehow she was wrong. She looked down at it. Sure enough, it was positive. But how? Sure she'd had sex a few times, but she had always used protection. Why was this happening? And what was she going to do? She wasn't ready to raise a family, and her parents would kill her when they found out. Well, maybe not literally kill her, but they'd certainly be upset. What would they do? How was she supposed to tell them? And how was she supposed to tell Kai Qiang? He had been standoffish lately, and for some reason he had gone home to Guilin, so he wasn't there where she could talk to him. She sank to the floor, buried her head in her hands, and cried.

‭She sent a text to Tsering Chu, asking Chu to come to her room so they could talk. It took a while before Chu answered, but even so, she found Mendok still in her bathrobe, still curled up on the bathroom floor, still crying. She started to ask what was wrong, but Mendok was shoving something into her hands, and Chu had to stop signing to take the little plastic device and see what it was. It took a moment for Chu to understand what she was looking at. Then she understood. She set the test kit down and signed, "You're pregnant?"

‭Mendok nodded.

‭Chu knelt down and hugged her, then leaned back so she had room to use her hands and signed, "Does Kai Qiang know?"

‭Mendok shook her head. "He's been avoiding me. He says I push him around too much."

‭"Maybe he'll take you back if you agree to be gentle," Chu suggested. "I don't know what you guys did when you were together, but it seemed like you were pretty rough with him. Sometimes I could feel the walls shake..."

‭Mendok was mortified. "Why didn't you say something? I didn't know we were bothering you!"

‭Tsering grinned. "I didn't want to ruin your fun."

Concord Heights Race Week!

It’s finally here! The racing world heads to Concord Heights Motor Speedway for the Five Star Mobile 500. It’s an elimination race, as the field will be sliced from 16 to twelve depending on the results around this paper clip of a race track. Fortunately, two out of three drivers from Cassadaigua are in pretty good shape in the points as they head home, while another is looking to get a boost in Concord Heights. Before we delve further into the festivities, let’s examine what happened to our drivers at the Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course.

This was a good track for us last year, and it would be once again. The other road courses on the schedule don’t seem as though they have been that favorable to us, in general, even though Jenna Logan did pick up her win on such a track earlier this year. Stacie Houston began the Vilaye Energy Drink 314 on the Vilaye Energy Drink pole. Her career indeed had plenty energy, as she led a handful of laps early on before eventual winner Skip Stiller eventually drove by her. Stiller, and Stacie’s buddy, Jeremiah Brooke led several laps, and even Meghan Sharpe had an extended time in front. These four were the best cars on the day, and it surely had Vilitan sources wondering why Cassadaigua and Saint Kanye drivers are so good here. Sometimes, you just have a place figured out, and perhaps these two race teams have it figured out, for stock cars, even better then the Vilitans themselves. Houston looked to avenge her close loss here last year, and was leading until the final set of pit stops, which came about from a Rockii Ezis and Tsering Chu wreck. While Stacie had the lead going in, a slower stop saw her leave the pits in the sixth position. The rear tire changer had some problems with the leftside tire, but took the extra moment to make sure that all the lugnuts were tight. Houston’s crew chief said of the stop, “In a way, the stop was poor, but it could have been much worse. Our tire changer didn’t get one of the lugs tight enough, but she was able to notice this in time, and while it cost us time, it could have been a lot worse.” The sometimes critical Houston of her pit crew came over the radio immediately when told what happened and vowed to get the positions back. She would get back up to third, but in the final two laps, she was passed by her teammate, Meghan Sharpe. Sharpe ends up third, and Houston fourth.

As for Meghan Sharpe, she still chases her first career NSSCRA win, but was happy with this performance today. It is her second consecutive top five at the Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course. Sharpe has always considered road courses her personal weakness, but both before and after the race she said there is something about this track she likes. After the race, that sentiment was echoed again, “I think people know I don’t look forward to road courses, in general,” Sharpe began, “That does not mean I don’t want to do well on them, and I am always trying to get better as a driver on these tracks. This course has got to be my favorite road course. It just suits me pretty well.” These finishes by Houston and Sharpe saw both drivers jump in the points, with Houston taking the point lead. Sharpe is 10th, and will need to avoid disaster at her home track. Sharpe warns everyone that no one is really safe other then the two winners, “This track (CHMS) can get anyone. There’s not enough room for all of the race cars, and someone’s problem half a lap away from you can end up being your problem real quick. I love this track, and it’s very fun to drive. I wouldn’t say that anyone is safe, even Stacie isn’t. Only Shark and Skip are (the prior race winners).” Interesting to note that Houston is only 19 points ahead of hte cut line, so indeed, no one is safe.

Jenna Logan finished 15th at Rockii Coast, and is currently 14th in the points. It’s close, though, and she is only five points out of 12th. Logan is confident about coming to her home track for this next race. “It’s a tough track to be right before the cutoff. The racing is going to be real intense. It will be a thrill for people to watch. For the race car drivers, it will be stressful, but at the same time, it is what we live for.”


Up Next: Five Star Mobile 500.

Who is Five Star Mobile? They are the leading brand of smartphones in Cassadaigua, and will sell their products anywhere in the world that may be interested. They provide both the hardware, and the data plans for their customers. The name of the company is in respect to Cassadaigua’s achievement of winning each of the five major sporting competitions in the world, the World Cup, World Bowl, World Baseball Classic, World Cup of Hockey, and International Basketball Championships. While Cassadaigua as titles in other sports as well, they are considered, in the eyes of our nation, as the biggest competitions out there.

They could be considered a competitor to Saint Kanye’s Pencurve Electronics, although Five Star Mobile focuses solely on phones. Since there is not a lot of overlap between the markets for the two companies, drivers like Stacie Houston, who is sponsored individually by Five Star Mobile, are not told that they have to avoid saying the Pencurve name. Houston would likely focus on their laptops and non-smartphone products when mentioning them.

Lindsay Toland, the VP of Communications for Five Star Mobile states, “Stacie and our drivers are not prohibited from mentioning Pencurve Electronics. There is an overlap in our market, but only a certain segment. Therefore, Stacie, and other drivers are free to mention and be seen with the products in the other segments. If Stacie were to win, one of their smartphones, naturally, we would expect her to decline the prize in a polite and professional manner.”

Hotel Reservations:

There are plenty of places to stay in Concord Heights, and the surrounding area. The race track is in the northeastern section of the city. Most the hotels are centrally located, along the Palace area, or in the western area of the city, which is home to Concord Heights Stadium, and the University of Concord Heights. The city is considered easy to get around as long as you avoid the immediate Palace area. You should be able to avoid it, unless you wish to go there for separate touristy reasons. By Cassadagan law, hotels are not allowed to increase their rates by more then 25% from their standard published rates, when a major event, such as a major sports competition, takes place. So, there will be no price gouging for traveling fans.


Who else do Cassadagans like in NSSCRA?

In a survey, Cassadagans were asked to rank their favorite non-Cassadagan Chase drivers. Here is how that ranking fares, and perhaps, why.

1) Jeremiah Brooke (Saint Kanye)- Due to his connection with Stacie Houston, Brooke has a good following of Cassadagan fans himself.

2) Thea Alvarez (Saint Kanye)- Another score for the Glorious Free Republic drivers. Many Cassadagans find Alvarez to be like one of them. As one voter put it, “A strong willed young female, who works hard and drives with full respect. Though at the same time, can be opinionated. She could easily pass for a Cassadagan.”

3) Ellie Lindskog (Vangaziland)- Not surprising to see Ellie score high on this list as well, since she is also respected highly for her racing ability and her off the track demeanor. A voter who put Alvarez just ahead of her explains why, “Thea seems to be more of a Cassadagan mold. Ellie is awesome for what she does, too.”

4) River Suzgar (Vilita)- Because he is the defending champion. This seemed to be the primary reason for most people ranking him highly.

5) Kev Schorebrook (Vangaziland)- Many votes mentioned that they found him attractive, and liked his overall attitude. On top of that, he is also a very talented race car driver.

6) Tsering Chu (The Sherpa Empire)- Voters also scored her pretty well, not quite as high as the others, but was a common choice right after them. Most respect her for what she has overcome to get where she is. Perhaps, if she had a little more success, she would be higher on the list.

7) Kai Qiang (The Sherpa Empire)- Respected for his ability, some voters ranked him as one of their top two selections as they say he has overcome a lot to get where he is, in his own way. However, others seemed to think he could be a little immature at times.

8) Eva Kerman (Jebslund)- The consensus on Eva is that she seems too nice at times, and may be a little inconsistent. “Eva started well, but has not always been near the front. Also, she seems a little robotic for me, would like to see her show a little more personality,” a voter said.

9) Skip Stiller (Saint Kanye)- Nothing negative was said about him, and most saw him as a classy driver. More then likely, some voters felt guilty if they voted all of the Saint Kanye drivers highly, so he got the short end of the stick.

10) Alex Knight (Hampton Island)- Voted high on some, and voted low on others. Those who voted high picked him for being the underdog, while those who voted low said they didn’t even know who he was and that he was lucky to be here. The votes average out to put him here.

11) Floyd Hackerbee (Vangaziland)- No one really said anything bad about him, he just didn’t get ranked as high. It seems as though Cassadagans know the other two Vannish drivers pretty well, but not Floyd as much.

12) Yraaga Gilli’i (Vilita)- In the case of Gilli’i, most Cassadagans simply say that they don’t know enough about him. As one person says, “He is second fiddle to Suzgar. We all know who he is, but Gilli’i, just isn’t as known to us yet.” Others mentioned the difficulty in pronouncing his name correctly.

13) Liangmei Li (The Sherpa Empire)- Lost the respect of a lot of Cassadagans when she wrecked with teammate Kai Qiang earlier this season. Many voters, while acknowledging her ability, also mentioned that she seems selfish.

CEO’s Office at Vamos Papi:

CEO: I am getting a lot of angry replies about out recent ad involving Liangmei Li.

Marketing Exec: There’s no such thing as bad publicity.

CEO: Normally I agree with you, but I am being told that the pole dancing woman is not Li at all. Is this true?

Marketing Exec: The ad is centered around Li and shows her in the bikini at Rockii Coast and then mentions her pole dancing.

CEO: I get that, but is that Li in the ad or not?

Marketing Exec: Yes, of course it is. That is her in the bikini.

CEO: And the pole dancer?

Marketing Exec: No, but we never said it was. The advertisement only had text that said IRACT endorses a pole dancer while showing Li on the beach. We never actually claimed that the woman in the staged pole dance was Li. We just very strongly implied it.

CEO: You intended to deceive people and make them think that was Li.

Marketing Exec: Who the hell is going to notice, don’t they all look the same? You know what I mean.

CEO: Well that was an awfully racist thing to say right in front of me.

Marketing Exec: Oh come on, you know you agree with me. Who the hell is going to realize the clip we used was not really her.

CEO: I don’t know, maybe because this is an internet search engine, and we can use our own damn product to easily determine that the woman in the ad you produced was not Li. We need to be honest, and you weren’t. You’re fired.

Marketing Exec: Wait, come on, you can’t mean that.

CEO: I said, you’re fired. Maybe on a technicality we did not explicitly say the woman in the video was Li what it was strongly implied. Plus, Chu isn’t even part of IRACT. I found that out by using Vamos Papi, too. So who really gives a shit about her fetishes. Our war is against IRACT, only, not The Sherpa Empire. Plus it was also your job to ensure that Lexi Patterson was back here. She hasn’t been. And you’ve basically told me you are a racist. Pack your stuff and get out of here. You’re fired.

NSSCRA: STILLER EDGES BROOKE AT VILITA
'Dagans finish 3-4; Chaser Chu wrecks late

ROCKII COAST - The Vilaye Energy Drink 314 race in the previous NSSCRA (Nationstates Stock Car Racing Association) season was one of the series' more memorable finishes in recent history, featuring a driver from St. Kanye finishing narrowly ahead of a competitor from Cassadaigua. Fans at this season's edition of the race at the Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course here must be seeing double, as the finish this time had two Kanyeans finishing ahead of two Cassadagans, all just a little over a tenth of a second apart.

It was Glorious Free Republic Motorsports' veteran driver Skip Stiller, driver of the #3 QED Car Rentals Chadwick taking the checkered flag over teammate Jeremiah Brooke in the #18 Hyde Medical Group Chadwick. Third place went to Team Cassadaigua's Meghan Sharpe in the #4 Spacebook machine, finishing ahead of fellow 'Dagan Stacie Houston in the #27 Five Star Mobile car. In an interesting twist, the drivers who went first and second last season, Brooke and Houston, were both beaten by their respective teammates.

Alex Knight of Hampton Island drove his #6 Charged Up Transmissions vehicle to fifth place. Vangaziland's Kev Schorebrook took sixth, which was pretty impressive considering the driver of the #25 REDUP Energy Drink VM started the race second from last. Seventh was Knight's teammate James McCurty in the #23 Shellshock Batteries car, followed by a pair of hometown drivers in Yraaga Gilli'i (#41 Tropicorp Dart) and iBen Toralmintii (#77 Race Eelandii Dart) in eighth and ninth, respectively. GFR's Thea Alvarez, driver of the #46 Multiversal Automotive Coatings Chadwick, completed the top ten, which with the exception of McCurty and Toralmintii, was composed of Chase or playoff drivers.

Stiller's win saw his Chase standing jump from below the twelve-driver cut line to locked into the next round, along with last week's winner River Suzgar (#14). "This is an important win, and having to really work hard to escape with it makes it even sweeter. Brooke gave me a challenge. The Dagans gave me a challenge. The VTM [Vilita & Turori Motorsports] guys wanted to go all out to please their home fans and gave me a challenge. And that's not all of them. This is why NSSCRA drivers are the best drivers in the world. No matter what track you're in, someone's there to put up a good fight for the lead", he said in a post-race interview.

Houston, who sat on pole, got off to a good start, protecting first place for several laps before Stiller eventually caught up, led some laps himself, then get passed by Brooke. Alvarez, meanwhile, made a push to get into the top ten, and later on, was also up front. Surprisingly for a road course, there were many passes for the lead but no cautions. That is, until Shane Wray wandered off course and crashed into some rocks with the race about half done. The Central Shaneville driver's #20 car was too wrecked to continue, and was eventually classified last. Sharpe was in the lead before the yellow flag, but was beaten by Stiller in the pits to give the Yeezie the lead back. The "Stacemiah" duo also maintained their good position, restarting in the top ten, even as Alvarez fell behind to replace all of her tires.

The race was largely Kanyean and Cassadagan-flavored the rest of the way. Stiller maintained his lead after the restart for about twenty laps, only to get passed by Houston, with Brooke in tow. "Stacemiah" raced each other hard, exchanging the lead multiple times; even third "Dagan driver Jenna Logan (#11) joined the party as she moved up into third behind the #18 and #27. Houston finally shook off Brooke and was getting ready to leave the rest of the field behind, when disaster struck behind her. Rockii Ezis' tires blew one by one, sending the hometown driver's #60 CoCoCo Dart to a complete stop on the track. Sherpa driver Tsering Chu was trying to pass fellow Chaser Knight for ninth, when Ezis' disabled car appeared in front of her. Knight took the high side and dodged, but Chu was unable to. Her #90 car slammed into the side of Ezis' vehicle, sending them both out of the race and spoiling what would be a good day for them.

Stiller once again restarted with the lead. Alvarez was second, while a slow pit stop pushed Houston down to sixth. The veteran Stiller was able to hold off his less experienced teammate, but soon enough, other teammate Brooke came charging past, getting first place once again, hoping to win the event two seasons in a row. But Stiller was having none of it. His "Blue Trey" battled Brooke's "Hyde Ride" hard in the final dozen laps; as for Houston, she was able to get to third behind the battling Kanyeans, but just as Stiller had to give Brooke a tap to leave him behind, Sharpe moved her teammate a little to pass her with only a couple of laps remaining.

"I've always heard, don't mess with Skip when the win is on the line. I found out today how true that statement is", commented Brooke about the finish. "The guy wouldn't back down even for a teammate. But then again, that's how it should be for anyone. Every win counts. I could've been the one locked in, and I could've eaten for free tonight." When asked about his season being compared to Houston's previous one, with regards to the number of runner-up finishes, the #18 driver just said "Yeah. There are multiple races this season that I could've won. Each time, I've come out with a little more intensity than before, and I'll continue to do so until I get that all-important win. Maybe next week? Although Stacie might not appreciate that." That last statement referred to the next race being held in Houston's home country of Cassadaigua, in the Concord Heights Motor Speedway to be exact. After that race, known as the Five Star Mobile 500, the bottom four of the sixteen-driver Chase will be eliminated.

Now for some news about the open charter. Tyler Abbott (#17) will make his second appearance of the season in his home race next week. Meanwhile, GFR announced that the open spot in the Emerald Energy Night Race a month from now will be fought for by part-timers Philip West, Sage Caldwell, and should she choose to accept, Hampton Island's Lexi Patterson. The Kanyean team will be willing to pay for all the expenses for Patterson and her crew to fly them to Bompton, site of the race. "Miss Patterson will be keeping 80% of her winnings in the Night Race, which as you can see, is bigger than 3%", stated GFR CEO Luke Brown, referring to the previous deal given to Patterson after her NSSCRA debut in the Golden Bear 400 at Stafford City Speedway. "I'd like to see and race with her [Patterson] again", said Alvarez. "She has potential. But really, none of the choices, her or West or Sage, would be too bad."

Kev Schorebrook finished the Vilaye Energy Drink 314 in a mediocre (by Vannish standards) position. When examining the entire event, his performance showed that he got as much as could out of the car without being at his own 100%. His rough weekend began at qualifying. Kev would start the race at his lowest spot on the field yet. The only car behind the indigo and red #25 was the woeful Cocoabo #78.

He would start the REDUP car 48th at the Mountain Challenge. "A lot of other drivers wouldn't be able to overcome this deficient", Kev said on the morning before the race. "I trust the Vannish Motors engine and my pit crew. We'll still get useful points out of this." Schorebrook flashed his trademark smile. His skin had a slight tan. Like many mostly Caucasian Vangazi, he had African blood in his distant past. It seemed to only be enough to darken his eyes and give him slightly golden skin. He also seemed to always keep his hair cut short. Many knew it was dark and curly.

This heritage of his goes back far in the distant past. Vangaziland has always been a land free from the rest of the hate of the multiverse. There was no history of slavery or dark civil rights ages. Only togetherness and respect. These are the ideals that the Vannish military protects with an aggressive military policy. It may have been 200 years since his ancestors dabbled in interracial relations. Kev himself has dated women of all races. Some say he is searching for the right lady.

Schorebrook seemed distracted on the day of qualifying. The truth was that he had a trip coming up. He would fly to the Svennish Isles the day after the latest race. This was a mostly Scandinavian Island in the Caribbean. This set him back for the entire weekend. All Kev wanted was to relax on the beach.

But first Kev had to race. The front runners of the field got much of the publicity from their local coverage. The question should be how they let the REDUP car catch up to them from the back of the pack.

Kev ran fast and tough throughout the first 62 mile stretch. His car cut through the field like a hot knife through cream cheese. The timing of his first pit stop was exceptional. "There was only room for me to move forwards", Schorebrook said after the race. It wasn't long until Kev was pushing towards the top 10. His steady hands and strong arms guided the car with incredible pace and timing. This early #25 stretch made some of the most exciting driving of the day.

He took risk after risk. At one point he swapped paint with Skip Stiller. In this first 62 mile stretch, Skip fell behind as Kev ascended up the field like a rocket ship. It may have gotten in his head, as Stiller fell back for several early laps. Vannish drivers never seem intimidated by GFR crews.

The race would not be all glitz and glamor for Kev. His pit stops in the next leg were less refined. His early effort started to wane as the reality of a long race set in.

"These races are not sprints", said Schorebrook. "Each run is a more like a half-marathon. Pace over the entire event is important."

Unlike certain international drivers, the goal of Corsair teams is not to jump ahead and lead early laps. It all comes down to that last stretch. Long term position is more important. Kev had fallen out of the top 10 by mile 120. His heart was still in the battle. Each lap was a fight. Moving up the field from 48th was not an easy task.

He had struggled, but started to pick up the pace after mile 140. This brought him back towards the top ten. From his hot start, he had fallen back to 18th. Now he fought from 12th through the middle of the race.

Cars from Cassadaigua and STK haggled over the lead for much of the event. They did well to keep their spot on top. Floyd Hackerbee only had a brief time in the top 5. Lindskog's effort left much to be desired. On mile 210, Kev finally cracked the top 10. He had climbed up from the literal back of the grid to be here. It was an accomplishment that matched any other of the day.

Kev's work wasn't done. There were still 104 miles left. Kev's earlier statement about there only being room to move up simply wasn't true. He could fall back at any point. His effort to be a better driver throughout the season paid off, even as he was struggling with a season worth of exhaustion. It allowed him to stick with the pack and keep up his push towards the front.

His pit stops were slightly sluggish in these last 100 miles. At one stop, every car in the top 10 beat him out of the lane. He fell back as far as 13th. "I knew I couldn't go out like this", Schorebrook said post race. "I was down, but not out."

He sat at 9th on mile 300. There were only 14 miles to go and little time to make up positions. Kev's fight for a top 5 spot simply ran out of time. The REDUP car would clock 6th after a spirited performance. "There was just too much of a gap between the top cars today", Floyd said. "They had better starts. Even though some fell back, I had to push harder to catch up in that early stretch. That took a lot out of me and the car. I was glad to hold things together for some very useful points."

Schorebrook sits 9th in Chase standings. Ellie Lindskog finished 14. Even with a terrible performance, she still sits at 7th in playoff standings. Floyd Hackerbee hasn't shown much in the Chase. He sits 13th with much to prove. Things will head to Cassadaigua next for the Five Star Mobile 500. Each Vangazi will hope to secure their spot for the next round.

Kev's trip took him to the Svennish Isles in the days after the race. He needed the time to decompress. He spent most of his time on the island relaxing. He did take time to shoot a photo for an online sports blog. The blog posted the photo set soon after the series was taken. Kev's look was in right now and it didn't take long for Vannish companies to seize this opportunity.



Some drivers look absolutely sullen in their official photos. Kev is always full of smiles and excitement. His face is expressive enough to tell 100 stories just by a single glance into his eyes. A random fan @MissRedBat2296 posted the comment which summarized the photo series with the meme-like statement, "get you a man that looks at you the way Kev Schorebrook smiles for his fans."

Kev laughed at the attention in the following days. "It's just a picture", he said with a deep red tinge to his cheeks. "I'm just a regular guy. One more cog of a Vangazi in the chain."

Schorebrook posted one photo from the set with the caption, 'sun's out, guns out in the Svennish Isles."

Schnellezeichnung Safe As Chase Cut Looms
But what have we here? Local welcoming gifts?

Well, folks, we're now two races into the Chase, and, while it's no first place, Schnellezeichnung's cinched her place in the next round by putting herself in the top three. Way to go, tanker girl! Now just keep charging forward and climb yourself on up into first, like we all back home know you can. I'm getting a bit tired of seeing names other than yours at the top of the standings, and I know they don't let you slack off in the military. I've been there, done that, got the retirement shadowbox in my office to prove it. Step it up and show us how the best of the best drive!
