Currently at 2134 SR, and end of Season 12, yay!

I have to admit, despite the low number of games (like... 15-20? Including the 10 placements), suffice to say that I did rather well, especially with Sombra. Granted, there were bad moments, but last match had me booping off two dudes as Lucio, thanks to my friend playing Orisa.

That Ilios match was just hilarious. I was the Lucio. Couple of outcomes:

• After 1st round (we won, 1-0 so far), our guy disconnected. We got our asses handed to us.
• After 2nd round (1-1), our guy came back, one of the enemy teammate disappeared. Oops.
• Our Hammond managed to push two enemies down the well... and pile-drived STRAIGHT into the well himself.
• We won because it became a 6v5 on the determining match.

That match was too damn funny and lighthearted. Everyone seemed to enjoy it, even for Comp.

Got bored, decided to do my ranked placements for fun. See where it put me. Went 3-7. 6 of those 7 thanks to leavers. I am, not surprisingly, low SR bronze.

Was disappointed to see her lose, but I suppose you expect that from a villain and Mcree is a badass. It's nice though to now have an outlaw to match the sheriff in every game.

Blue and white though As for the logo, it was cooler before Blizzard declined their original submission, so I think they could have done better for it. And I can see why people don't like the colors, as they are rather bright compared to other league colors.

Currently climbing up to 2220+ something SR.

It's good to know when the pubs are at their strongest - for mine, it's usually from 8.30 PM to 10.30 PM, GMT +8. But the recent 5-6 stack with some of my peeps help too.

But I failed them on King's Row because when I was supposed to EMP, I hit the Windows key by mistake and it lagged the game (4K <-> 1080p resolution change was slow).

Congrats on the unban! as for Ashe, she'll be less prominent after all the "NEW HERO OMG!!!!11!1!!one!" dies down. Same as happened with Brigitte, Hammond, and every other new hero. Just give it time (although she is quite fun)

Can confirm. Ashe and Widow are those characters I can never master. I'm just bad at aiming.

On the other hand, I did pretty well being disruptive and cancelling ults as Sombra. I totally got that going for me.

Hanzo main here. I'm only diamond and 99% of the time do QP, but here's some basic tips.

Hanzo does (usually) like high places, but he is a hell of a lot better at low ground fighting than Widow. The most essential mechanical skill for Hanzo is being able to determine where an arrow will land when you shoot it, as well as figuring out where your target will be when it does land. Basically, projectile aim, but with Hanzo's arrow speeds. They go faster than many other heroes' projectiles. The biggest difference between Hanzo and Junkrat is that Hanzo focuses on aiming, whereas Junkrat prioritizes chaos and blocking off passages to force the enemy to either take a lot of damage or go another way (where your teammates can wait for them).

When it comes to positioning, you want to be closer to your enemy than a Widowmaker would. Widowmaker is very weak is close range fighting, while Hanzo is actually better in semi-close range than at a long range. Of course, if someone tries to get too close, you want to back off and go to your team, but it is very different from Widowmaker, who is essentially useless in close range. Hanzo wants to be medium range, most of the time, and generally with at least one teammate.

As for Dragonstrike, I recommend using it with a Zarya or Rein ult, but if you don't have or want to use these, the best use of it is to shoot from somewhere that the enemy would not expect. Preferably away from Zenyatta, unless he ulted recently.

If you get into a sniper fight against a Widowmaker, there are 3 outcomes:
1. Hanzo is in just the right position and uses the arrow drop to hit Widowmaker as she ducks (not common)
2. Widowmaker uses hitscan to kill Hanzo (very common)
3. The fight doesn't end due to one or both snipers being distracted (somewhat common)

In short, don't try to 1v1 Widowmaker. Your best bet against Widow is to use a flanker like Genji, Tracer, etc. or a counter Widow, depending on your hitscan ability. You might want to switch if the enemy team has a flanker, or if they consistently kill you.

If you play with a real team, I highly recommend using the voice chat a lot. People are much less toxic to a Hanzo main who communicates than one who doesn't. Same goes for Sym, Torb, etc. in my experience.

As for determining your best role, all I can say is to try a lot of them! You might even be a flex player who can do all sorts of heroes, but you won't know until you give each role a try
