Synopsis
The world changes so quickly nowadays. Nothing can compare to what happened in the past and why that did happen. It was such a long time ago. No records could explain further and people are often subject to history-based manipulation.

In 1510, a Russian military expedition was made into southeastern Europe, which has been controlled by the Ottoman Empire. The expedition, also known as the Carpathian Expedition, set out to liberate the area from the Ottomans in order to keep Ottoman influence away from the rest of Europe. The expedition made a struggling attempt at liberation, which was followed by armed conflict and plaguing famine, and succeeded at last in 1514. Southeastern Europe was liberated and the Ottoman forces sent back to the Middle East. With this, Europe was safe from Ottoman reign of terror, but it was far from over.

Years later, the Reformation spread throughout Europe, causing unspeakable rivalry between Catholics and Protestants. There was a wave of armed conflict and religious genocide in many parts of Europe, predominantly Germany and France. There was the Lutheran Rebellion, a rebellion led by Martin Luther and various Protestant lords against the Holy Roman Empire and it's Catholic allies. The rebellion tore apart German society from 1540s to the 1580s. Martin Luther succumbed to the Catholic forces in 1544, yet he became a Protestant martyr as a result of the rebellion. The following years saw tensions escalate between Protestants, Catholics, other Christian denominations and non-Christians (such as Jews and Muslims) in Europe. In 1612, the Thirty Years' War broke out, causing further violence between the two Christian denominations. The war weakened the Holy Roman Empire and led to the rise of various empires, most notably Scandinavia, Austria, France and Poland. On the other hand, Switzerland remained neutral and safe from conquest, yet the Calvinists, a group of Protestants led by John Calvin, took over the country and turned it from a confederacy into a theocratic federation during his time in charge of his church.

In the 1640s, meanwhile, the British Isles fell into a civil war between the Parliamentarians and the Royalists. The forces loyal to King Charles I struggled to keep the British Isles under absolute monarchy while the forces loyal to Oliver Cromwell demanded political reformation. Through several successful attempts at victory such as gaining Scottish support, the Royalists emerged victorious in the conflict and absolute monarchy remained. The English Parliament was abolished in the process and the Parliamentarians fled to the New World, settling down in New England. A government-in-exile was founded there and continued the politics of the Parliamentarians until 1670 when the Commonwealth of the English Americas, also known as the Commonwealth, was formed after it's first democratic election. The Royalists, meanwhile, replaced the English Parliament with a consultative Witenagemot and enforced religious policing among Englishmen and other people. As years passed, England further consolidated it's power across the British Isles and a few colonies. Around the early 1700s, the Kingdom of Great Britain (KGB) was formed under King George I, who also gained further control over the Anglican Church and many overseas territories.

Between the 16th century and the 18th century, various European countries began colonizing the Americas, with Spain colonizing the region first by aggressively conquering Florida, Central America, the Caribbean and the Andes. Then came France, who colonized southeastern Texas, eastern Canada and western Hispaniola. The Englishmen came to New England first in the 1620s and the settlements there then fell under Parliamentarian control while the British (Royalists) colonized Belize, parts of Canada, land south of the Commonwealth and some Caribbean islands. Sweden, Russia, Portugal and the Netherlands came afterwards, although Sweden and the Netherlands lost their colonies to the Commonwealth somehow. Russia colonized Alaska and western Canada while Portugal colonized what would later become Brazil. Some parts of the West Coast were trading colonies created by the Chinese while Italians colonized Rio de la Plate, Germans established Klein-Venedig (which is later annexed by the Austrian Empire) and there was some attempt by Poland to colonize the Lesser Antilles, but to no avail.

Acros the Pacific lies Asia and there happened a lot. Japan, a country of tradition, honor, clans and gods, had just ended a civil war in 1600 under the Tokugawa clan, who implemented a strict isolationist policy called "Sakoku". Christian missionaries attempted to spread their religion to Japan, but the Japanese stopped them everytime, even going as far as to forcing the missionaries to step on Christian paintings and also crucifiying them near rising waters. Later, the Dutch traded with the Japanese and established trading outposts across southern Japan. At the mainland, the ancient country of China had faced so many conflicts and is on the brink of a dynastic transition. The Russians had made their way across North Asia and reached Alaska, as well as Mongolia and the Sakhalin Island. India, Australia and Southeast Asia were being colonized by various European trade companies. In the Middle East, the Ottoman Empire's power was crumbling with Arabs, Jews and Christians down south demanded independence from Turkish supremacy, forcing the Ottoman Empire to turn into an expansionist military dictatorship. Even worse is that following the Carpathian Expedition, the Armenians revolted against the Ottoman Empire with Persian support and succeeded, seceding Armenia from Ottoman rule. The next few years saw Armenia grow into a great power by annexing Azerbaijan, Georgia, Circassia, parts of Turkey and Mesopotamia while Persia gave it's northwestern part to Armenia as a gift. The Ottoman Empire, at the same time, sought out revenge against the Armenians with the intention to wipe them out.

Just as the 18th century passed by, a lot happened there. Around the 1720s, the Russian Empire emerged and put fright into the hearts of fellow Europeans, as well as Persians and Chinese. From 1739 to 1748, after a British merchantman got one of his ears cut off, the KGB and it's North American colonists went at war with Spanish colonists through support from Commonwealth volunteers, which is unusual because the Parliamentarians formed the Commonwealth while the Royalists unified the British Isles into the KGB. A succession war was then fought over the Austrian throne while a conflict emerged in North America after French colonies were attacked by the seemingly independent "Rupert's Land". Due to the land being later supported by the Commonwealth, the French colonists then proceeded to invade the Commonwealth city of New Amsterdam for 200 days, almost cutting the Commonwealth in half, while the Commonwealth forces occupied Montreal. This came to an end two years later through the Treaty of Detroit, where New France was given the Rupert's Land and the Ohio River Valley became the Northwestern Trust Territories. Issues regarding the Mississippi are solved in order to prevent more conflicts that would spiral out of control. Meanwhile, there were similar skirmishes in South America between Spanish colonists, Portuguese colonists, German colonists and Italian colonists, as well as a conflict between Spain, France and indigenous tribes over Texas. From 1756 to 1763, the Seven Years' War ravaged across Europe, North America and India. Just as peace arrived following the Treaty of Paris, another war rose up in 1768 when the Ottoman Empire made it's very last attempt to subjugate Europe by conquering Greece, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Albania, Serbia, Montenegro, Hungary and Crimea, as well as invading Armenia and Iran. Dubbed the "Great Retaliation War" (Büyük Misilleme Savaşı) by the Ottomans and the "Septinsular War" (Septinsularkriget, Guerra Settinsulare, Guerre Septinsulaire, Septitsevaya Voyna, Septinsularni Rat, Septinsularkrieg, Szeptinsuláris Háború, Septénia Polémou, Sepsinusova Voĭna, etc) by the Europeans, the war lasted from 1768 to 1774 and costed over 18 million lives. The war ended with eventual European victory over the Ottoman aggression, forcing the Ottoman Empire to release many territories, including Egypt (who became independent and later friendly towards Europe), Lebanon (who Austria annexed and still control as of 1914), the Caucasus (which was returned to both Armenia and Russia) and the Arabian Peninsula (which would be the seat of a new Arabic empire). The Ottoman Empire lost it's overwhelming power and became nothing but a disgraced remnant of itself. From 1778 to 1784, a conflict between the Commonwealth and the KGB was eventually fought, dubbed the "Delaware War", which was one of the world's most devastating border conflicts. The conflict saw the British Army and Carolinian militias ravaging across the Middle Atlantic parts of the Commonwealth, looting towns and murdering civilians, politicians and captured soldiers. Meanwhile, the Commonwealth Army and indigenous tribes utilized guerilla warfare in order to fight the warmongering Britishmen. There were also naval battles fought between the British Navy and the Commonwealth Navy with other countries involved such as Spain, France, Scandinavia and the Netherlands. The conflict ended with the Treaty of Annapolis, which saw current borders drawn between the Commonwealth and the Dominion of Carolina.

In 1789, with the Enlightenment having made it's way across Europe, North America and Asia, encouraging freethinking, equality, reformation and reason, something happened in Germany. Famine and poverty had struck the German population, economy was almost collapsing and people were demanding political representation. On 14 July 1789, the Königstein Fortress, a notorious state prison in Saxony, was stormed by over 1000 angry civilians with support from disgruntled infantrymen and dragoons from the Saxon Army. The storming sparked what was called the "German Revolution" (Deutsche Revolution). The Prussians, especially a group of political activists called the "Frederickers" (Friedrichtern), were leaders of the revolution, organizing it first through the Prussian National Assembly (Preußische Nationalversammlung) and then, upon reaching support from citizens of other German states, the National Constituent Assembly (Konstituierende Nationalversammlung). The NCA demanded that the German governments allow their citizens more political representation and social freedom or else worsen the German Revolution. The NCA was later replaced by the Federal Convention (Bundeskonvention), which came to represent the German people throughout Germany. But some German states, as well as foreign neighbors like France, Poland and the Holy Roman Empire, ultimately cracked down on the revolution, thus worsening it as the revolutionary forces resorted to armed insurrection. Every German monarchy was deposed from 1792 to 1794. In 1794, the German Republic was formed in Berlin under the Federal Assembly (Bundesversammlung). The Federal Assembly, upon the German unification, enacted several laws such as freedom of religion, gender equality (including women's suffrage and female military service), freedom of assembly, economic class system and abolishment of slavery. This started a series of wars between the German Republic and various European monarchies. A year later, the German Republic was able to squash Poland, partitioning it between Germany, Russia and Austria. The Holy Roman Empire was a big target for the revolutionary state, who proceeded to orchestrate revolutions across the crumbling empire, forcing Austria to secede as an independent great power. The Holy Roman Empire fell as a result in 1796. The German Republic struggled to fight against it's neighbors, but ultimately suffers from internal crisis as political groups, such as the liberal monarchist Holsteinists (Holsteiner), the anti-radical Fervidorians (Ferwidorianer), the conservative Palatinists (Pfalzisten), the radical centrist Exaggerators (Übertreiber) and the centre-leftist Badenists (Badenisten), fought for power and some states threatened to secede. An emergency government called the "Committee of Public Safety" (Wohlfahrtsausschuss) rose up in 1795, just months after Poland ceased to exist, under Max Robbenstrop, the leader of the far-leftist "Brutes" (Grobianen), resulting in the "Reign of Terror" (Terrorherrschaft) where the government persecuted and murdered alleged dissidents, as well as banning Christianity, centralizing the German Republic and shutting down various political groups. This culminated in the Fervidorian Reaction (Ferwidorianische Reaktion), when Max Robbenstrop and the Brutes gets overthrown by the Fervidorians and the German Army in 1796. Max was ultimately beheaded for his crimes against humanity and the Directorate (Direktorium) took control of the country from there on, yet the war against foreign powers became more difficult and threatening towards German national unity. The Federal Assembly was replaced by the bicameral "Legislative Assembly" (Gesetzgebendesversammlung), which consisted of the upper "Council of Delegates" (Delegiertenrat) and the lower "Council of Representatives" (Repräsentantenrat). In 1798, the German Republic loses Bavaria to the Austrian Empire. A year later, a disgruntled French military officer named Napoleon Bonaparte fled to Germany after a failed coup d'etat against King Louis XVI. There, he joins the German Army and achieve several victories against opposing forces, allowing Germany to annex Alsace-Lorraine, southern Denmark and parts of Austrian Poland. This gave Napoleon prominence among Germans and he even became a politician in the Legislative Assembly. He reforms the German Republic, replacing the Directorate with the Consulate (Konsulat), as well as replacing the Legislative Assembly in 1800 with the German Parliament (Deutsches Parlament), a tricameral legislature composed of the upper "State Council" (Staatsrat), the middle "Legislative Council" (Gesetzgebenderat) and the lower "Tribunate" (Tribunat). He becomes the First Consul and helps the German people overcome foreign aggression. Within years, the German Republic was able to recover from war and triumph against foreign enemies, resulting in the Treaty of Frankfurt in 1820. A year later, Napoleon passes away and is given a honorable funeral by the Germans. Following his death, the German Republic reforms again to overcome the aftermath of the Revolutionary Wars (Revolutionskriege). The tricameral Parlament was replaced by the current "Bundestag", composed of the upper "Senate" (Senat) and the lower "House of Representatives" (Abgeordnetenhaus), and the executive branch was headed by an elected President.

In the 19th century, the Latin American Wars of Independence broke out, resulting in Spain losing colonies that achieves independence. As a result, Spain had to force Portugal into a personal union, creating the Iberian Union, which later becomes a de facto country. Among the newly-independent colonies are prominently the Mexican Empire, the Republic of Gran Colombia and the United Federation of Central America. As a result of the Iberian Union, the Portuguese colony of Brazil secedes to become a federal monarchy under Emperor Pedro I. The Mexican Empire, having lost it's southernmost part to Central America, decides to expand up north. Sometimes later, the Californians in Alta California revolts against the Mexican government and secedes in the 1840s. Meanwhile, Mormonism, a Christian-like religion, is created by Joseph Smith in Illinois and it's followers then make a trek to the "promised land" of Deseret (Utah and Arizona), establishing Salt Lake City. Due to the practices and beliefs of the Mormon religion, the Mormons gets ruthlessly persecuted by both California and Mexico. Also, conflicts between indigenous tribes and American countries are rampant throughout the 19th century.

Meanwhile, in the KGB, things have gone from bad to worse. The British monarchy became extremely paranoid over revolution in Europe, resulting in the KGB invading France in 1830 after the House of Orléans orchestrated a rebellion against the Bourbons and established a constitutional monarchy under King Louis Philippe I and Prime Minister Victor de Broglie. Northern France is annexed in the process and turned into the Grand Duchy of Normandy (Grand-Duché de Normandie). Also, the KGB began establishing colonies across the world, from British Guyana and Africa to South Asia and Oceania, removing trade companies and enforcing a series of Anglican persecutions called the "Calcutta Inquisition". Due to France losing Normandy to the KGB, it turns to the Austrian Empire for help. It worked, but then in the 1840s, the Hungarians revolts and secedes to form the quasi-theocratic "Apostolic Kingdom of Hungary" (Apostoli Magyar Királyság), forcing the Austrians to sign a compromise with their Slavic neighbors, thus forming the "Austroslavian Empire", who goes on to become one of the world's dominant great powers. Back in the KGB, rebellions emerged on Northern Ireland (aka British Ireland), whose people demanded equal rights, despite British ignorance. The rebellions turned violent and were brutally suppressed by the British authorities, which also led to serious cases of genocide, as well as diplomatic intervention by the Scandinavian Union. At the same time, the Italians fought damn hard for unification in a period known as the "Risorgimento" despite an attempt by some Catholics to revive the Holy Roman Empire, which may have helped crush the hopes of creating a single unified Italy. The New Roman Empire was formed as a result. The Ottoman invasion of Crimea in 1853 led to both the Crimean War (1853-1856) and the subsequent death of the Ottoman Empire in 1856.

Many European countries such as Germany, Sweden, Austroslavia, Iberia, France and the NRE sought out to establish colonies across Africa and Oceania. Egypt joined in when it was colonizing Sudan while the Netherlands colonized the "Dutch Congo" (real-life Belgian Congo). At the same time, arms race broke out with weaponry and other kinds of technology being developed such as rifles, pistols, revolvers, shotguns, tanks, airplanes, cannons, explosives, electricity and ships. Wars broke out between European colonists and native communities. In East Asia, attempts by Europeans to colonize China and Japan doesn't go well and war usually breaks out. However, Korea was showing signs of breaking away from Chinese submission. It has for a long time been a tributary state to the Chinese, but now it wants to be independent and operate on it's own. The 1830s was a great chance for Korea to be free and become an empire of it's own. From 1863 to 1864, a civil war known as the "Learning War" (학습 전쟁) broke out between two dominant Korean philosophies, Seohak (Western Learning) and Donghak (Eastern Learning). Seohak, whose followers included the ruling House of Yi, emerged victorious. Korea expanded it's territory via Manchuria, Ryukyu Islands and other Pacific islands. A country called Ethiopia made great attempts at preventing colonization by the Europeans, which led to the sudden prevention of an invasion in 1896. In 1898, a conflict between Iberia and Austroslavia results in Iberia losing control over Cuba (who becomes independent), Rio de Oro (now called the "Austroslavian West Africa"), the Marianas (who are currently controlled by the Korean Empire) and the Philippines (who also becomes independent).

At the beginning of the 20th century, the Boxer Rebellion went rampant across northern China, seeing so-called "Boxers" attack Christian missionaries and Korean people. Many nations, prominently Korea and European ones, invaded China in an attempt to end the rebellion. The allied invasion succeeded and greatly weakened China to the point it can no longer stay united any longer. Internal strife became stronger and soon the imperial government will fall. The following years sees the world move closer to total war with alliances shifting and countries expanding. The more further it goes, the more closer war becomes.

The year is now 1914 and it is time to continue the history from where it left off. However, with great power comes great responsibility. No one knows when everything comes crashing down. A war is brewing among us all. It is coming faster than ever. Are you all willing to take big risks right now?

Intro
Welcome to "The Forthcoming War", a RP set in an alternate WW1. The world is very much different from our own as evident by various changes, such as absolute monarchy still in control over the British Isles, the US being non-existent, Japan being still feudal and a political unification between the Austrian Empire and it's Slavic territories into a single multi-ethnic great power, as well as civil rights such as women's rights being existent since the German Revolution. The POD is in the 1500s when the Russians made an expedition into the Ottoman-controlled parts of southeastern Europe, resulting in these parts being freed from Ottoman rule. Your quest is to head a country and make decisions on diplomacy, warfare, economy, law, culture and other aspects of our society. In other words, the RP will use Interwar-era technology, since the technological advancement was a little bit faster here. The RP begins on January 1, 1914.

Significent Events (WIP)

1510-1514: The Carpathian Expedition occurs, which sees Russia liberate Ottoman-controlled parts of southeastern Europe.
1517: Martin Luther starts the Reformation, thus Protestantism is born.
1521: Norway and Sweden breaks away from Danish rule, thus forming the Scandinavian Union and adopting Rosenthalism, which had existed before Protestantism as a heretical sect of Catholicism, yet was later adopted into it as a denomination.
1534: King Henry VIII secedes England from the Catholic Church and creates the Church of England with him as it's head, thus creating Anglicanism.
1540: Following the total Protestantization of many German states, the Catholic Church and it's German loyalists initiates the Counter-Reformation, which immediately leads to the Lutherna Rebellion, which Martin Luther leads alongside his German allies. The Jesuits are founded by the Catholic Church.
1544: Martin Luther is captured and executed by the Catholic forces, making him a Protestant martyr.
1546: The Habsburgs buys Klein-Venedig from the Welsers.
1580: The Netherlands secedes from Spain and the Lutheran Rebellion ends with the Treaty of Trent.
1580-1618: Minor conflicts between Catholics, Protestants, other Christian denominations and non-Christian groups occurs.
1588: The Spanish Armada attacks England, but to no avail.
1600: The Tokugawa Shogunate is created after the Battle of Sekigahara.
1618: The Thirty Years' War breaks out between Catholics and Protestants.
1620: English Puritans arrives in North America.
1637-1638: The Shimabara Rebellion occurs, pitting Christian rebels against both the Tokugawa Shogunate and the Netherlands.
1642: The English Civil War breaks out between the Parliamentarians and the Royalists. The Royalists were supported by Scotland while the Parliamentarians were supported by Scandinavia, Ireland and Wales.
1646: The English Civil War ends with both Royalists victory and the division of Ireland between England and Scandinavia. The English Parliament is abolished and the Parliamentarians form a government-in-exile in New England.
1648: The Thirty Years' War ends with the Treaty of Westphalia. The Holy Roman Empire is greatly weakened and many European countries become great powers.
1652-1654: The First Anglo-Dutch War occurs between England and the Netherlands.
1655-1660: The Little Northern War occurs between the Scandinavian Union (aided by Brandenburg-Prussia, Transylvania, Moldavia, Wallachia and the Cossack Hetmanate) and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth (aided by Russia, Austria and the Netherlands).
1665-1667: The Second Anglo-Dutch War occurs between England and the Netherlands.
1670: The Commonwealth of the English Americas (aka the Commonwealth) is formed as a successor to the Parliamentarian government-in-exile, therefore lets go of territorial claim on the British Isles.
1672-1674: The Third Anglo-Dutch War occurs between England and the Netherlands.
1688: King James II is overthrowed by the so-called "House of Canterbury", whose head, William Canterbury, takes over England as King William III.
1688-1697: The Nine Years' War occurs, pitting both France and the Jacobites (supporters of King James II) against England, Scotland, Scandinavia, Spain, Portugal, Savoy, the Netherlands and the Holy Roman Empire. The war didn't nothing for the Jacobites to overthrow King William III.
1700-1721: The Great Northern War occurs, pitting the Scandinavian Union, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and various German states against the Tsardom of Russia. The war ends with Russian victory, thus causing both the breakup of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and the Lithuanian entry into the Scandinavian Union. The Russian Empire is born following the war.
1701-1714: The War of Spanish Succession occurs between the Habsburgs and the Bourbons.
1706: The Kingdom of Great Britain (KGB) is formed with George Canterbury as King George I. He turns the Church of England into the Anglican Church and establishes the Witenagemot as the country's de facto legislature (although the Witenagemot is similar to that of the modern-day Consultative Assembly of Saudi-Arabia). Anglicanism reigns supreme in the KGB and persecution against religious minorities (such as Catholics, Covenanters, Lutherans, Methodists, Jews, pagans and other Christian denominations), political dissidents (such as Levellers, Jacobites and Native American tribes), LGBT people and disabled people runs amok.
1739-1748: The War of the Cut Ear occurs between Spain, with support from New Spain and New Grenada, and the KGB, with support from the Dominion of Carolina, after a British captain gets one of his ears cut off by a Spanish captain.
1740-1748: The War of Austrian Succession occurs, pitting the Habsburg Monarchy, with support from Sardinia, Scandinavia, Hanover, the Commonwealth and the Netherlands, against France, Prussia, Naples, Genoa, Bavaria, Spain, Hesse-Kassel, Poland, Cologne, the Palatinate and the KGB. Both the Holy Roman Empire and the Russian Empire remained neutral during the war. The war ends with Maria Theresa retaining the thrones of Austria, Bohemia and Hungary.
1744-1748: The War of Rupert's Land occurs between the Rupert's Land, with support from the Commonwealth, and New France, with support from France. The French almost cut the Commonwealth in half when besieging New Amsterdam for 200 days.
1750: The Treaty of Detroit is held between the Commonwealth and New France. It results in the creation of the Northwestern Trust Territories, as well as New France being given the Rupert's Land.
1756-1763: The Seven Years' War occurs between the KGB, supported by Carolina, Hanover, Prussia, Portugal, Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, Hesse-Kassel, Schaumburg-Lippe and the Iroquois Confederacy, and France, supported by New France, Scandinavia, Austria, Saxony, Russia, Spain, New Spain, the Abenaki Confederacy and the Commonwealth. It result in victory for the KGB and it's allies.
1768-1774: The Septinsular War, also known in the Ottoman Empire as the Great Retaliation War, occurs, pitting the Ottoman Empire against Armenia, Iran, Russia, Greece, Scandinavia, Austria, France, Spain, Bulgaria, Hungary, Venice, Naples, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, the Holy Roman Empire, the Papal States and the KGB. The war results in Ottoman defeat and various territorial changes, including Egyptian independence and Austrian annexation of Phoenicia (Lebanon).
1776: The Bavarian Illuminati, a secret society of freethinkers, is exposed and destroyed by the Catholic Church.
1778: The Delaware War breaks out following border skirmishes between Carolina and the Commonwealth. The British Army, alongside Carolinian militiamen, invades the Commonwealth via the Delaware, raiding towns and slaughtering civilians en masse. In response, the Commonwealth Army and the Iroquois Confederacy carries out guerilla warfare against the invading forces.
1779-1780: Spain, France, Scandinavia and the Netherlands, as well as New Spain, New Granada and New France, rushes in to aid the Commonwealth and the Iroquois Confederacy in the Delaware War. Naval battles are fought in the war, pitting the British Navy against the Commonwealth Navy (Samväldsflottan/Gemenebeste Zeemacht), the Spanish Navy (Armada Española), the French Navy (Marine Royale), the Scandinavian Navy (Örlogsflottan/Marinen/Marine/Laivasto/Stríðsfloti/Karo Laivynas/Flít Cogaidh/Marianne) and the Dutch Navy (Nederlandse Rijksvloot). Meanwhile, the Fourth Anglo-Dutch War breaks out between the KGB and the Netherlands elsewhere.
1781-1783: The Delaware War intensifies as the British Army and the Carolinian militiamen suddenly invades New France. Meanwhile, the invading forces are pulled out of Commonwealth territory while the combined fleets of the Commonwealth and it's allies proceeds to attack British territory in the Caribbean.
1784: The Delaware War ends with the Treaty of Annapolis, restructuring the Mason-Dixon Line. The Commonwealth and it's allies are considered to have won the war (although this is disputed as of 1914). Meanwhile, the Fourth Anglo-Dutch War ends wih British victory.
1789: While the Enlightenment makes it's way across Europe, Asia and the Americas, revolution is brewing within the German states. The Prussian National Assembly is created by the Frederickers. The Königstein Fortress is ultimately stormed by people on July 14, starting the German Revolution. Shortly after, the National Constituent Assembly is formed once the citizens of other German states joined the Frederickers.
1790: The NCA, upon sending demands to various German monarchs, is replaced by the Federal Convention.
1790-1792: Despite the successful efforts of the German Revolution, various German states, as well as Poland, France, Spain, Portugal, Russia, the HRE and the KGB, cracks down on revolutionary politics.
1792: The German Revolutionary Wars breaks out once the Frederickers and the Federal Convention encourages Germans to revolt against their oppressive leaders.
1792-1794: German revolutionaries insurrects violently against both their governments and foreign powers. They successfully overthrow some governments.
1794: Once every German monarchy was overthrown, the German Republic was officially established by the newly-formed Federal Assembly in Berlin. This did not stop various European countries from constantly opposing the German Revolution.
1794-1795: The German Republic relentlessly invades Poland while Scandinavia jumps in to aid other European countries.
1795: Poland offically collapses, splitting it between Germany, Austria and Russia. Just months later, the Committee of Public Safety is formed under Max Ribbenstrop and his political group, the Brutes, starting the infamous "Reign of Terror".
1796: The Holy Roman Empire collapses. Meanwhile, Max Ribbenstrop and his government gets overthrown by the Fervidorians, with support from the German Army, ending the Reign of Terror. The German government is reformed under the Directorate, who is aided by the bicameral Legislative Assembly.
1798: Germany loses Bavaria to Austria.
1799: Napoleon Bonaparte carries out coup d'etat against the French monarchy, but fails and flees to Germany, where he sets up a political career and, upon becoming the country's "First Consul", replaces the Directorate with the Consulate.
1799-1820: Under Napoleon's leadership, the German Republic achieves various victories against it's foreign enemies, gaining territory in Poland and Denmark, as well as taking Alsace-Lorraine from France.
1800: Napoleon replaces the Legislative Assembly with the tricameral German Parliament.
1808-1834: The Latin American Wars of Independence breaks out between Spain and it's American colonies. The colonies ultimately gains their independence and also supports the German Republic.
1820: The German Revolutionary Wars ends with eventual German victory and the ensuing Treaty of Frankfurt.
1821: Napoleon passes away and is given a honorary funeral by the German population. Following his death, the German government reforms into it's current form.
1822: Spain and Portugal merges into the Iberian Union, although this new state is heavily dominated by the Spanish, which disappoints the Portuguese. As a result of this, the Portuguese colony of Brazil secedes to become the Federal Empire of Brazil under Emperor Pedro I.
1828: The train is invented.
1830: The French Revolution breaks out, resulting in the House of Bourbon being ousted by the House of Orléans, who turns France into a constitutional monarchy. In response to this, the KGB invades northern France and turns it into a client state called the Grand Duchy of Normandy.
1835: The Republic of Louisiana is formed after gaining independence from France.
1836: Korea secedes from China upon Western effort in achieving it's independence.
1836-1840: Alta California revolts against the Mexican Empire before eventually seceding as the Republic of California.
1838-1898: The Mormon Rebellions occurs, pitting Mormons against Louisiana, Mexico and California (formerly Alta California).
1839-1861: The Opium Wars occurs between China and the KGB, with the latter being supported by Korea and Iberia.
1840: The KGB establishes the Calcutta Inquisition to strengthen Anglican supremacy within British colonies.
1846: The Oregon Country declares independence as Cascadia.
1846-1848: The Hungarian War of Indepence occurs.

1850: Austria and it's Slavic neighbors signs the Treaty of Vienna, thus creating the Austroslavian Empire.
1853: The Crimean War breaks out, pitting the Ottoman Empire, who started the conflict by invading Thrace and Crimea, against Austroslavia, Russia, Sardinia, Greece, Armenia, S and the KGB.
1853-1856: While Russia and it's allies are desperate to protect Crimea and Thrace from Ottoman invasion, the Imperial Austroslavian Navy carries a surprise attack against coastal parts of the Ottoman homeland, terrorizing towns and destroying fortresses while naval infantry made landfall on Turkish beaches and occupied various towns with ease.
1856: The Crimean War ends with total Ottoman defeat, resulting in the imminent collapse of the Ottoman Empire and the Austroslavian annexation of Cyprus.
1859: The New Roman Empire is formed out of Italy, Switzerland and parts of France.
1860: Airships are invented. Both Malta and Sicily are purchased by the Austroslavian Empire. The telephone is invented.
1863-1864: The Learning War is fought between the Seohak movement and the Donghak movement. The Seohak emerges victorious in the conflict and eventually creates the Korean Empire.
1865: Korea annexes the Ryukyu Islands and the Gatling Gun is invented.
1867: New France changes name to Canada.
1870-1910: The Scramble for Africa occurs with countries such as Iberia, France, Germany, Austroslavia, the NRE and the KGB acquiring various colonies across the continent. Meanwhile, Egypt annexes Sudan.
1872-1876: Austroslavia colonizes the Austroslavian North Africa and .
1873: Austroslavia colonizes the Francis Joseph Land.
1876: New Carthage is colonized by the NRE.

Austroslavian victory ensues, resulting in the Treaty of Incheon. Cuba and the Philippines achieve independence from the Iberian Union while both Rio de Oro and the Mariana Islands (Guam and Northern Marianas) are respectively ceded to the Austroslavian Empire and the Korean Empire. Meanwhile, the Wright Brothers invents the airplane.
1899-1901: The Boxer Rebellion occurs, pitting China against Korea, Russia, Scandinavia, Iberia, France, Austroslavia, Germany, the Netherlands and the KGB. Territorial changes are made, such as Northeast China being ceded to Korea and Shanghai being ceded to Austroslavia.
1902: Tanks and LMGs are invented.
1904-1905: The Russo-Korean War occurs between Russia and Korea.
1905: A wave of mass unrest, both political and social, occurs throughout Russia.
1908: An assassination attempt is made on Francis Joseph I by Polish nationalists.
1910: The Edo Expo is initiated in Japan.
1910-1912: Revolution occurs in Mexico, resulting in much of the country being governed by Emilio Zapata and his ideology, as well as the House of Iturbide, the Mexican imperial family, being executed by the new government. In the ensuing takeover, the supporters of the previous government flees to the northernmost part of the country, forming a government-in-exile under General Porfirio Díaz.
1912: Titanic, the biggest ship in history, sinks after hitting an iceberg.

Government Explaination: Stated above, the Austroslavian Empire is governed by both a hereditary Emperor (Kaiser) and an elected Prime Minister (Premierminister). The Emperor is the head of the Imperial Family (Habsburg) while the Prime Minister is the head of a minister cabinet. The Emperor is succeeded through bloodline while the Prime Minister is elected each four years, plus has only two terms. History: The history is the same until 1546 when the Habsburgs bought the South American colony of Klein-Venedig from the Welsers. The history was still the same until the Septinsular War (1768-1774), which saw Austria annex Lebanon (later called "Phoenicia") upon European victory against the Ottoman Empire. Four years later, the Austrians colonized the Nicobar Islands, who were called the "Scherzer Islands". 11 years later, the German Revolution broke out and Austria was one of the European countries who opposed the revolutionary forces in Germany. Once the German Revolutionary Wars (1792-1820) broke out, both Poland and the Holy Roman Empire fell, resulting in Austria annexing southern Poland while Germany annexed the western part and Russia annexed the eastern part. Sweden had the northern part, but lost it to Germany. Austria was able to fight off German revolutionaries in Bavaria and Poland, despite the latter losing parts of itself to Germany. Austria kept Bavaria and relentlessly fought the revolutionary forces until the wars ended with the Treaty of Frankfurt in 1820, which resulting in official German victory. Despite this, Austria never lost further land and just continued to expand. In 1848, 28 years after the Treaty of Frankfurt, the Hungarians revolted and seceded from the Austrian Empire, forming the semi-theocratic Apostolic Kingdom of Hungary. Austria, in response to the secession, was forced to compromise with Slavic countries, who were also about to revolt, in order to form the Austroslavian Empire in 1850. The Crimean War (1853-1856) broke out three years later when the Ottoman Empire invaded Crimea, thus the Austroslavian Empire sent armed forces to aid Russia and other countries opposing the Ottoman invasion while the Imperial Austroslavian Navy attacked the coastal parts of Turkey. It ultimately led to the Ottoman Empire collapsing while Crimea remained safely under Russian control, solidifying alliance between Austroslavia and Russia. The conflict also resulted in Austroslavian annexation of Cyprus (which was formerly under Ottoman rule).

Austroslavia also began colonizing parts of the world. In the 1860s, the islands of Malta and Sicily were purchased by the Austroslavian Empire. In 1873, the Austroslavian Empire colonized an Arctic archipelago later called "Francis Joseph Land". In 1877, Baron von Overbeck gained control over the northern part of Borneo, which was renamed to "Overbeckland". In the 1880s, the Austroslavian Empire gained further territories such as the Austroslavian India, the Austroslavian North Africa, the Austroslavian Polynesia, the Hallstatt Archipelago and Kaiser-Franzland. In 1885, there was a conflict in Southeast Asia where the Austroslavian forces occupied Cambodia and South Vietnam, both of whom became the "Austroslavian Indochina". In 1898, following the Austro-Iberian War, Austroslavia gained control over Rio de Oro, which was renamed the "Austroslavian West Africa". From 1883 to 1895, the Austroslavian Empire was constantly invading the sovereign island of Madagascar, ultimately subjugating it as the "Merina Protectorate". From 1899 to 1901, the Austroslavian Empire and other countries invaded China amid the outbreak of the Boxer Rebellion, resulting in Austroslavia being offered control over the city of Shanghai, which changed name to "Muschelstadt".

Austroslavia was also a part of technological advancement. It created several tanks, airships, waterships, airplanes, radios, cameras, cars, motorcycles, railroads and firearms. Nikola Tesla became a celebrity in Austroslavia when he created electricity following fallout with Thomas Edison. The Austroslavian military, in cooperation with both the state-owned Imperial War Corporation and the private Steyr Mannlicher, created several firearms such as the M1886, the M1888, the M1890, the M1895, the Mannlicher-Schönauer, the Mannlicher M1901, the Steyr M1912, the MG12, the Roth-Steyr M1907, the Gasser M1902 (Austroslavian Webley), the Steyr Bulldog and the MP12. As of 1914, the Austroslavian Empire is still at odds with the Kingdom of Great Britain, the German Republic (aka the Greater Republic of Germany) and the Apostolic Kingdom of Hungary just as total war is coming.

Economy Explanation: Italy is lacking in most of the important resources that are required to fuel an industrial machine, thus most of their resources are imported from New Carthage - making them reliant upon their North African colony more than other European nations. Although, in turn of industrial power, they are match-to-match with the Kingdom of France.

Military Explanation: Most of the Imperial Armed Forces had been modeled after the Swiss - a heavy focus on discipline and morale. The Regio Esercito and the Guardia Pretoriana are the only branches of the armed forces which practice the notion of unified command and uniformity. Thus making infighting a rarity. The Regio Esercito has for years been modeling their operations after the Roman, Testudo or Turtle Model - which sees the combination of artillery and foot infantry mixed alongside scouting and engineer companies. This makes the Royal Army slow to move, yet very hard on the defensive and counter-attacks.

History: The New Roman Empire was born from the ashes of the Holy Roman Empire - which had been completely destroyed in the German Revolution and the following Revolutionary Wars. Those few in the Imperial Army, the German nobility, or Catholics in-general fled to Switzerland which had been turned into a Calvinistic Theocracy after the fall of the Holy Roman Empire resisted only by the Catholic group the Sonderbund. Although with the surge of soldiers, the Sonderbundskrieg soon turned around for the Catholic whom slowly destroyed the Theocracy and also started cracking down on the liberal and mostly Protestant major regions - which had nominally been supportive of the Calvinistic cause.

During the Revolutionary Wars, the survivors declared the German Republic illegitimate and declared the Holy Roman Empire reborn in Helvetia and decrying the German anarchists and liberals that reigned during the Terrorherrschaft - decrying of what was the end result of liberalism and nationalism. Although, the bitter survivors wouldn't manage to regain Germany or their lands - as the eventual war would be resolved in 1820 - with the Germanic Republic keeping and maintaining hold over many german colonies and german lands. Without any hope or chance for regaining the lost territories - the Holy Roman Empire remained as it was, a reactionary rump state of bitter German nobility protected only by Austrian power and subject to languish in their old pride. Until the start of the Italian Wars of Unification around 1840.

King Frederick Augustus, the son of Maria Theresa of Austria (Queen Consort of Saxony) and Anthony of Saxony - the strongest leader among the German Princes, soon proposed the idea of unification of Roman heritage. As the Italian peninsula, at the time was embroiled in bitter civil war as liberal and nationalist elements sought to eliminate Austrian rulership - as around the same time the Kingdom of Sardinia was seeking the notion of Risorgimento. Utilizing this to their advantage, the HRE around the time began supporting the southern kingdoms against the 'Savoy Dictator' - painting the attempts of Risorgimento as an Italian Region of Terror waiting to happen. This would eventually lead to conflict between the Holy Roman Empre and Venice against the Kingdom of Sardinia-Piedmont. The monarch of the time, Victor Emmanuel II would be defeated and his lands would be annexed alongside his French conquests into New Frankia - it would take another two years, before his forces would be defeated on Sardinia and Corsica.

King Augustus would follow this victory by also annexing Naples - after the former had fallen to nationalist rebellions in the hope of joining Sardinia in Risorgimento. Following these two victories, the rest of Italy would be unified either by force or persuasion - as the resulting situation in Europe allowed a one a in a lifetime chance for those in the Italian Peninsula. Uniting under a shared Roman identity and future - the New Roman Empire would be formed in 1859 with the signing of the Imperial Compromise - which would keep the largest states in Italy intact with their own monarchs with their own local governance in exchange for uniting under the New Roman Empire and it's Emperor. Taking advantage of this new rise, the New Roman Empire proved their might as they destroyed the Barbary Pirate States which had been in a state of decay since the defeat of the Ottoman Empires almost three years ago. Annexing them as New Carthage - the first colonies for the New Roman Empire. Although, soon enough after that - the NRE turned attention North and began a massive industrialization and reform campaign to catch up to the Germanic Republic and Austro-Slavian Empire. While military spending also increased, as many feared a coming conflict with the northern Germans.

The powers of the Monarch are that similar to IRL UK this being that all laws are still passed with the Monarch's consent however unlike the in Great Britain the Armenian king can send laws back to be written again by his own decision of by that of the house of Lords. The King can not outright overturn or reject a law from passing however he still has the power to do so if he ever need to break royal tradition. The Monarch also acts as head of state and as such assembles a Parliament (Or the Consulate of the Kingdom/T’agavorut’yan hyupatosut’yuny, or Consulate is used in the Kingdom) every 5 years. The Monarchy still command in chief of all armed forces and is still the official person to declare a war.

The Consulate of the Kingdom is where the Consul (the head elected official of the government) and their government assemble similar to that of a tradition parliament with an official forming a government with the Monarchs blessing and rules as de facto leaders of the nation. However he is subject to the people and the rest of the Consulate to speak about their intentions like a Prime Minister. All legislation is voted on by members of the Consulate called Senatorner (Senators) after the Roman name senatus. Many names in this house come from that of the Roman Senate, this is because the Consulate claims to be a continuation of the system of the Roman but does not claim to be a direct continuation of the Roman Republic itself. All officials are elected in a constituency and burrow system every five years which each one being elected by the respected members of their Constituency and/or Burrow

The House of the Melikdoms are a collection of high rank lords and advisers to the King and religious leaders from some of the major religions of the Kingdom. These are un-elected but still vote on legislation that come through from the Consulate of the Kingdom. They can not create laws but can change them slightly or outright reject them altogether. However there are certain traditions that the Melikdoms must follow like if 3/4 of the consulate vote a law up after it had already been rejected then the House of Melikdoms must allow the law to pass to the royal consent.

My thing about the Holy Roman Empire is pretty much by its end it was entirely German in character as Italians made active attempts over the centuries at rebelling against the empire, and becoming independent states. I suspect you may want to reinforce the Roman part of the Holy Roman Empire, and claim a heritage based off the old Rome. Its better than simply being the result of a "nation" that for all intents, and purposes was heavily supported, and run by German princes, and others in Germany.

Relations: 1) Neutral, but sympathetic: The German state, partly due to some Parliamentarian officials going off to volunteer within the German revolution. Many became incredibly disgruntled, and horrified following the Germans somewhat disasterous tyranny that followed, and came back while some chose to stay with Germany.

2) Openly Trading: Most of europe, and the rest of the world benefit from Commonweath merchant navies, and trade even the Dominion of Carolina. The latter started out as a pragmatic relationship since Carolina wouldn't have survived its initial years of French, and Spanish pressure had it not ironically been from the very commonwealth they fled from after failing to "restore order in the colonies". 4) Friendly: New France, and the Republic of Louisiana have affable relations with the Commonwealth especially following normalization of borders after the "War of Ruperts Land". This was followed by their support of the Commonwealth against Carolinian, and British forces in the
