Bio: Eldritch beings, cosmic monstrosities whose mere existence defies the laws of the Universe, have existed in interstellar and intergalactic space for as long as the Universe itself has. Though their insurmountable power and appearances which make mortal men and woman collapse in fright or insanity upon sight have turn them into myths to scare others with, the Eldritch beings themselves have never felt one way or another towards the myriads of mortal races inhabiting the Universe around them. As long as they don't get in the way, who cares? Same way a human might think about ants, or bacteria. These monstrosities have spent billions of years roaming the Universe by themselves, feeding on matter to sustain their enormous size, and generally ignoring the affairs of the mortals around them.
Five million years ago, the community of Eldritch monsters in the Milky Way Galaxy suffered a great tragedy. A great conflict spanning multiple star clusters, started for reasons few even remember, suddenly broke out, and one of the combatants in this war was Yohgno'gtholuszs, a monstrosity with an unpronounceable name like the rest of them. Yohgno'gtholuszs got into a bit of an unlucky spot - ambushed by several of his kind not far from Neptune, it barely escaped with its life and crashed onto the surface of a small rocky planet a few hundred million kilometers away, off the coast of North America, long before humans arrived to the continent or even evolved from primitive apes. The wounds it had suffered were severe, and because of the generally long timespan and lethargic existence of Eldritch monsters, it would take at least ten million years for it to fully recover.
Hoping to mask its presence from any members of its kind who might still be hunting for it, Yohgno'gtholuszs manifested itself into the island, becoming one with it, this allowing it to feed off the planet and not worry about hunger while it is recovering from its wounds. Soon, the barren island became overgrown with trees, and Yohgno'gtholuszs's presence within the island became impossible to perceive.
Sleeping within the island for five million years, the abomination finally noticed that something had changed. The planet had become overrun by a species of ape offshoots with the ability to build intricate tools, and a team of their younglings had just decided to set up shop on his back, constructing a tower and various other buildings on top of it. Initially, Yohgno'gtholuszs ignored this change, assuming that the humans will just move out after a few years - which they did, though not because of the reasons it was expecting. No, some of the humans slaughtered the others and forced the rest to flee.
Ah, who cares. Just ants and their matters.
Unfortunately, now that it has woken up, the busy city life near the island, all the sounds coming from there, the occasional visitor, all of them made it so Yohgno'gtholuszs could no longer just go to sleep, so it had to bear the next twenty years basically laying in its metaphorical bed with eyes shot open, occasionally amusing itself by scaring incoming vandals with hallucinations or falling trees. It all changed twenty years later, however, when a new team of human younglings, similar to the first one, decided to set up shop within the tower built on the island.
These new "Young Bloods", as they call themselves, they're amusing, with all their hijinks and team drama. Yohgno'gtholuszs resolved to amuse itself by toying around with the youngsters, occasionally shifting around the composition of the tower, creating new rooms or removing them completely, or sending hallucinations to some of the teenagers and seeing their reactions.
Powers:
- Eldritch Physiology: Yohgno'gtholuszs is an Eldritch being, a monstrosity whose mere existence defies the laws of physics as we know it. This status comes with fairly powerful boons - the presence of its true form alone is enough to cause even the bravest souls succumb to fear, insanity or worse, and it also grants the monstrosity the abilities of reality warping, telepathy, telekinesis and a transcendent physiology.
- Manifestation: Yohgno'gtholuszs has imbued his existence into Wonder Island and all of the structures standing on it and now physically manifests as it. This has had positive and negative effects. Being manifested into Wonder Island sustains it, but it has also left it completely immobile and severely dampens its eldritch abilities - as such, it can only warp reality and use psychic powers within the limits of the island. Destroying the island or activating a highly complex blood ritual will be able to remove this manifestation... it you would ever want to.
Limitations:
- Immobile: Yohgno'gtholuszs is a manifestation of Wonder Island and Wonder Tower and has thus been left completely immobile.
- Manifested: Having manifested itself within Wonder Island and Wonder Tower, Yohgno'gtholuszs can only warp reality and use his Eldritch psychic powers within the limits of the island.
- Passive: Yohgno'gtholuszs is currently recovering from the wounds he suffered in a great Eldritch conflict and will continue to do so for at least a few million years - as such, the monstrosity is currently preserving its powers and acting passively, mostly just watching this new team which has set up shop on his back and toying around with them by shifting around the composition of the Tower every once in a while.
Weaknesses:
- Cosmic Hunger: A massive Eldritch creature obviously needs to consume a lot of mass to stay alive, and if they are attacked while they are not properly fed, they are weakened and thus susceptible to being killed. Yohgno'gtholuszs sustains itself due to being manifested within Wonder Island, but if it ever were to be freed, for example, it'd have to first eat a few islands to satisfy its hunger before it could fight anything powerful.
Likes: Sleeping, toying with these ants who think they're hot shit
Dislikes: Uh...
