Work With Us
Vienna Consulting works with the best consultants and investors worldwide to secure the best outcomes for our clients. Learn more about a career with Vienna below.
Who we hire. We’re looking for leaders in their fields — in business, politics, and academia — to grow our impact globally. Here’s what that means in plain english:
  • You have experience leading in your field, whether that's consulting, politics, research, or finance.
  • You have experience leading change either as an internal change agent or as a consultant and have some war stories to show for it. At Vienna, you’ll have the Herculean task of making change happen in complex work environments. You’ll serve both the Fortune 500 and rapidly scaling startups.
  • You can sell the work. We expect you to be the most pivotal player for sales in your region by tapping your network of peers and potential clients.
  • You likely have an advanced degree in the area you want to work with us on. This is not a hard requirement, but ultimately, we need someone who has a nuanced understanding of how business, politics, and people work.
  • You can own the room with leadership teams, advise executives one-on-one, train mid-level managers in workshops, and translate complicated ideas to the overworked and under-trained staff on the front-line.
  • You can design a killer workshop. While often we’re on-site with clients in their day-to-day, we also frequently deliver our work via offsites and trainings. You’ll have to know how to design the content, interaction, and narrative of a day for senior leaders.
  • You know how businesses work. You’ll need to be able to evaluate a corporate or departmental strategy and chart the implications for the organization’s structures and systems. You'll also be a member of our board, so we expect you to help guide our business, too.
Perks and Benefits. We hope that you're excited by the possibilities that come with working with Vienna. In addition to our unique culture, we also offer these fun perks and benefits.
  • Salary: Our salary formula adjusts to your cost of living and experience. For most roles, the range is $120-160k per year. It’s a large range, we know, but it’s because we’re open to variety of experience levels. On top of a base salary, directors have autonomy to decide what to do with the profits of their own department's work.
  • Distribution of ownership: After 6 months, consultants and directors are eligible to receive a healthy slice of equity in the business (up to 5%) and a seat on Vienna's board. This also affords you a guarantee of any profit distributions and large percentage of any sale of the company (directors divvy up 70% of any sale).
  • Cell phone: We pay your bill. Cause let’s be honest, who doesn’t work off their phone?
  • Unlimited time off: Our only policy is that you give yourself a break regularly. We mean it.
  • Work from home: When you don’t have client meetings or working sessions that require you to be onsite, you’re welcome to work from your couch, a coffee shop, or wherever you’re most comfortable and productive.
  • Self-Care stipend: We provide you $100 per month to spend on any mental health or self-care activity of your choosing.
Jobs with Vienna. We want Vienna to be the place where you do the best work of your career. We’re successful because the people on our team are kind, smart, and quick studies. We hope this way of working appeals to you too. Here's what you can do with us:
  • Directors. Our directors head up our departments. They're tasked with overseeing all the staff in their departments, making hiring decisions, setting the vision for their departments, and overall managing the business of the venture. Directors also serve on the board of Vienna Consulting. There are five directors, one for each department: the political department, the corporate department, the communications department, the financial department, and the operations department.
  • Assistant Directors. Assistant directors in each department handle the operations, finances, and communications within their respective departments.
  • Regional Managers. The political, corporate, and operations departments are divided into eight regional departments. Each is led by a regional manager, who is assisted by two assistant regional managers: one researcher and one consultant.
  • Consultants. Our consultants meet with clients daily to understand their problems and develop solutions that work for them. They oversee the development of a unique strategy for each client and then ensure that it is successfully implemented. Consultants see to the operations that drive Vienna Consulting.
  • Researchers. Our researchers devise world-class solutions for our clients, developing the solutions that consultants propose and implement. By performing groundbreaking research using statistical, qualitative, and interpretive strategies, our researchers are able to deliver opportunities to clients that no other firm in the industry can offer. Researchers make sure everything behind the scenes is ready to go before plans are rolled into action.
  • Counsel Our legal counsel keep Vienna running, ensuring day-to-day compliance and handling legal correspondence.
Our Offices. Vienna Consulting has eight offices worldwide:
  • Lieshaagen, Aurentina
  • Kalniai, Baltonia
  • San Cristobal, Calaverde

Dear Mr. Sasaki,
Thanks for reaching out to Vienna! This is the first step in a relationship that will go a long way for your business.

Our telecommunications team are experts in the challenges that firms like yours face. From regulatory burdens that span from building on the ground to transmitting through the air, to multinational marketing challenges, to finding high net worth clients that will take full advantage of your services — we get it. We've been working for years in all sectors of the telecommunications industry, and that's why we've developed a plan to suit your business specifically.

Here's what we can do:
  • We'll secure three public contracts for your business with government agencies in at least two different countries each worth at least $5,000,000,000 within one year.
  • We'll provide data on 313,427 consumers in two countries, including identity, Internet behavior, and traveling behavior.
Here's our quote:
  • You'll pay $2,325,001,000 for the public contracts.
  • You'll pay $75,222,480 for the consumer data.
  • You'll pay $185,468 for administrative costs.
  • You'll pay $2,400,408,948 total. Your down payment will be $200,034,079. You'll pay the full amount within one year.
Our team is thrilled to get started — just return the attached papers, signed, with a letter confirming your order, and follow the instructions contained in this letter to deliver your down payment through the clearing house of your choice, or wire your payment using a real time gross settlement system.

We look forward to working with you!

What country are you running in? United Federation of Charellia

What race or election are you running for? 2018 National Council elections

Far-Left | Left | Centre-Left | Centre | Centre-Right | Right | Far Right

What challenges is your campaign facing that you'd like to work with us on? The Federation Party's ultimate objective in this election is to win enough seats to control the National Council. To do this we will need to win between 75 and 100 new seats, mostly in districts held by the ruling United Liberal Party.

We would like Vienna Consulting to assist in developing a targeted campaign strategy aimed at coaxing voters in key districts away from the ULP.

Vienna swept through the doorway into the conference room, taking the interns by surprise. One of them launched to her feet, and the other four followed. Vienna looked almost taken aback, then laughed.

"Sit down, you little shits. I'm not the President."

They each smiled, abashed, sitting back down at the table. The room was dark but for the dim light of their laptops.

"What have we got so far?" Vienna asked, leaning over the table. "Actually, hold on." He turned around, looked at the wall for a second, then leaned forward and turned on the light. He returned to his leaning posture. "So what do we have?"

The young woman who had stood first spoke. "There are 450 seats in the National Council. That means a majority is 226, and since the client has 104 seats, they'll need to win 122 new seats to win a majority."

Another intern, a young man, started talking just when she finished her sentence. "The other parties are the United Liberals, who are liberal democrats, the Democratic Socialists, who — well, yeah — the Moral Alliance, who are traditionalists, and the Nationalists, who are basically crypto-fascists."

Vienna furrowed his brow. "Okay. And our client is?"

"Our clients are mainstream conservatives. When you do an MDS analysis they align with ULP members on economic votes, but places like the military, immigration, etcetera, they split apart."

"I don't know how you got that from an MDS analysis, but whatever." Vienna looked at one intern who hadn't spoken. "So what's the plan? Have you got a report for me to bring to the Board?"

The intern paused, deer-in-the-headlights in her eyes, then nodded and spoke up. "Right, uh, we're working on a report now, it's almost finished. So basically we've worked out a three-tier approach. The first is a pretty basic pairwise vote-splitting technique. Looking at market research conducted by some of our private clients, United Liberal voters are more concerned with social issues than economic ones — otherwise they'd probably vote for the Federalists. So one approach could be to change their minds—"

"But that'd be dumb. We're not in the business of changing minds," Vienna said.

"Right, no, we're not. So instead of that, it'd be better to change their votes. Or, if we could stress that the Democratic Socialists care more about the social issues, then a bunch of those United Liberal voters will switch over. But not enough, you know — so they split each other's votes. It'd be like, 33% vote for the ULP, 33% vote for the Dem Socs, and 34% vote for our client."

"Love it," said Vienna. "So how do we do it?"

"Well, first we want to get the Liberals to focus on economics. We could request some logistics companies mark up their prices on goods, figure out who's supplying Charellia with what. Then gas prices go up, food prices go up, lots of rapid inflation, maybe some unemployment if we do it quick enough. Then the ULP will be positing themselves in economic terms, and we can tell our client to do that too. Then we pay off some cops to shoot some ethnic minorities, building up racial tensions leading up to the election. The United Liberal voters who care more about social issues are going to buy into it and vote for the Dem Socs, who will be campaigning on that. The vote splits nationwide, and probably that alone will win us half the seats we need in districts that are already close."

"Okay. I'll look into that, see what partners we can get to work with us on that. Uh, Danny," Vienna said, pointing to one of the interns, "start looking up Charellian court records to see which police departments are most susceptible to bribery. Anyway, what's the second tier?"

"Tier two is microtargeting. A lot of United Liberal Voters are concerned with social issues, but plenty will be more concerned with economy once the inflation starts. So we figure, we had that one app, the one collecting consumer trends, right?"

"The, uh — I forget the name. I know what you're talking about. The coupon app."

"Yeah, that one. So, we can use that to collect data on who's buying what, who's most worried about the state of the economy. Combine that with search engine data, and we can target voters — especially unlikely voters, ones that don't turn out to vote all that often — and convince them, hey, this election matters, and this is the party you should vote for."

"We probably don't need to say what party," one of the other interns said.

Vienna nodded. "I agree. But just getting them out to the polls, that will do it. I mean, they'll vote their conscious, for our client. That's good enough. Okay, third tier. I've got to go, what's the last thing?"

"Third tier. We were thinking we could dilute the effect of the other two right-wing parties. If we hit the Moral Alliance Party with a scandal, especially one that concerns their voters, they would more likely than not get to the ballot box, sweat a little, and cast a vote for our client. If that isn't bolstering our majority already, then it would at least put our client over the edge. Because, keep in mind, the Moral Alliance is splitting our client's vote in key districts. That leads to ULP wins. So I think if we just leaked some bullshit story about a huge gay conspiracy in their leadership or something, and then paid off some pundits to play along, that'd do the trick."

Vienna sighed, looking at the table. "Okay," he said, and clapped his hands as he stood up straight. "Sounds great. I will bring this to the upper team. What I want you guys to do is divide up the tasks, your research is done. Talk to the different teams that we're going to need — uh, trade logistics, that'll be one, data and marketing, influencers — and then just shoot me a text when everything's in order to go, and I'll have Joyce give it the go-ahead. Cool? Great. Great work, guys, keep it up."

TO: Mallory Yefen, Charellian Federation Party
FROM: Flora Diarmada, Vienna Consulting

Dear Ms. Yefen,
Thanks for reaching out to Vienna! We've taken a look at the challenges your party is facing and we're excited to get to work.

Our research team has developed a strategic, three-tiered approach to help your party win a majority on the National Council. The first tier focuses on larger, nationwide policy operations to swing the general national mood in your favor. The second tier involves microtargeting, developing smart strategies that will turn out voters to vote for your party on election day. The third tier hedges risk from parties that might split your vote, ensuring to maximize votes from your constituency where it matters most. We'll be working with several of our partners on your case, and we've attached a detailed plan of action to this letter for you to review.

Here's an executive summary of our targets:
  • The Federation Party will flip approximately 141 seats in the National Council, while holding at least 95% of its current seats, winning at least 230 seats total in the 2018 elections.
  • In particular, the Federation Party will outperform previous electoral results in Eldoren, Ioden, Netien, and Orcil.
  • The Federation Party will receive $43,080,900 in donations from Vienna Consulting and our partners.
Here are our terms:
  • When in government, the Federation Party will offer government contracts to the companies listed in the plan of action at the specified dollar amounts, totaling $122,152,161,156 in contracts.
  • When in government, the Federation Party will pass the Internet Data Information Availability Act detailed in the plan of action, and sign to Vienna Consulting an exclusive contract for Charellian Internet data.
  • These terms need only be executed once the above targets are met in full. These terms shall be kept in confidentiality from those not involved the execution of the terms of the agreement.
Our team is thrilled to get started — just return the attached papers, signed, with a confirmation letter. We'll arrange soon for a meeting with members of our team to begin the implementation of the plan of action.

We look forward to working with you!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
RE: Teamwork, Cybersecurity, and Lingo
LEISHAAGEN, AURENTINA — At Vienna Consulting, we're always looking for new-generation major players who we can help achieve growth-oriented empowerment. As always, enabling geographies evolves into progress.

Venture capital really creates a teamwork-oriented key player, which goes to show that solutions-oriented product lines impact major opportunities. The best deals secure the right approach when it comes to the zero-defect-generation major player — recognizing, foremost, that the ubiquitous contexts give rise to a challenge. An enterprise time frame fast-tracks the synergies, so extensible human resource allocations empower quality-assured time frames. Having a major player that is competitive, agile, and teamwork-oriented, it follows that a corporation is here, if anything at all, to enable those team-oriented revenues. A paper trail steps up to the challenge of win-win team players. But a leader boldly embraces team-building cultural changes.

That's why we feel that the big picture will enable revolutionary deliverables. A soup-to-nuts scenario easily will succeed, and in an economy where we can conclude that price points indicate that a 90% solution utilizes mindshare, the state-of-the-art horizontal markets have proactive customer bases. In view of the fact that the design-driven teams can not become a synergistic relationship, we clearly can conclude that relationships table an action item for feedback.

Our Commitment
A productized customer — a revolutionary idea pioneered by our partnership — is going to have to be mobile. Communication bites the proverbial bullet, and having first verified that lightweight paradigm shifts give a clear channel towards strategic revenue, a careful examination of task-oriented benefits reveals that skill sets sign off on open-ended sweet spots. In order to obtain an impactful horizontal market, we took a close look at the most sophisticated opportunities to understand what it means.

We insist that total quality management (TQM) helps us in the conceptualization of first-class missions. We will effortlessly take the lead in a value-added geography, only to speed ahead of the pack in the corporate field of a core competency. If we can foresee the benefits of a tangent, then those guesstimates will assure us strategies. It used to be true that a fiscal drop dead date would improve the performance of hits, but thanks to detailed marketing studies, we now know that it's real, human intuition that works most effectively. Some of us will be surprised by this. Others, still, realize it just confirms what we knew all along: it is amazing what we can accomplish when we do not care who gets the credit.

What's the name of your corporation? Bank of Yohannes

Are you a business or a non-governmental organization? business

What industry does your corporation work in? Financial services and banking

What kinds of problems is your organization having that you'd like to work with us on? The 2018 Electoral College Presidential Election in the continent of Yohannes has proven that public opinion has shifted decisively in support of “more nationalist and less of foreigner and anything foreign sounding or related” policies. The Bank of Yohannes has always been looking outward, not inward, and many Yohannesians — especially blue collar Yohannesians — increasingly dislike that fact. We need the expertise of your organisation to help show to everyday ‘working mum and dad Yohannesians’ that we have always been there for them — that our investment projects and financial involvements overseas have not just helped the citizens of foreign nation states, but also those back home.

Who should we put down as the primary contact for your organization? Julianna Stefansson, Group Chief Executive.

"To our international friends — the Ambassadors and diplomats assembled, I thank you for your dedication in maintaining the most excellent of relationship with the realm of the Yohannesian people."

The camera panned out. There was some shaking of hands, and then the screen cut to the exterior of the Parliament House at night. Cue talking heads. Vienna flipped the TV screen off.

"Hm," he said.

Joyce titled her head toward him from her seat on the couch. "Yeah?"

"That's a weird fucking way to end a speech."

"Yeah."

"Did you ever work with her, Joyce?"

"As president? No, we never worked with anyone."

"She lent some support to Muslims in Calaverde when I was Mayor of Masalbhumi," said Alsafyr. "At least, I think that was her. I swear there were some Yohannesians who reached out to me."

"Yeah, that's good," Vienna said. "Well now she's off her fucking rocker. As you saw. Did everyone get my email?"

"I got your email," said Collette, who around this time we were realizing did not seem to have a real job, and who Joyce, ever the watchful COO, was going to fire by the end of September out of fear she was sleeping with Vienna. But I digress.

"I have't been checking my emails lately," said Clint. "What did it say?"

Vienna frowned. "Well, first, you should not admit that. But, since you asked — I think a sewing some social discord is going to be key to regaining national trust in our client's business."

"Oh, of course. Do you have a PowerPoint?"

"I'm glad you asked. I do have a PowerPoint. Daniela, will you go get us more wine?"

"So, we're going to be talking today about how we can attract clients back to the Bank of Yohannes in the nation of Yohannes itself, you know, on their continent."

"It represents wealth, Clint."

"Hey! I was reading that slide."
"Shut the fuck up. So here's part one of what we're doing. It's pretty much essential that we get their central bank to lower the interest rate. I figure the best way we can do this is through a financial crisis. Which I understand we already have in the works."
"Yes, that's correct."
"What are we doing?"
"Sort of like — so, it's pretty much dependent on our client's agreement on their end. We've made it sound nice in the plan of action, but in essence they're going to let one of our underground subsidiaries "hack" their infrastructure, making some couple dozen billion dollars disappear. And then we do some cyber attack stuff with some other banks. Rile people up. Make a bank panic on a Sunday."
"Tell her the best part."
"What's the best part?"
"The name."
"Oh, yeah. The subsidiary operates under some fake Muslim name. It'll be real funny once they reveal that."
"Right, so, off the bat we'll be lobbying executives in the countries that don't like the Emperor, President, whatever. We think we have some domestic businesses with corporations they'll listen to, so I'm not really expecting a roadblock there. And we get them to get their country's governor on the Economic Palace board, tell them to lower the interest rate, do it as dramatically as possible and then some."
"Will that work? Like, for, what, 15 countries?"
"We need 13 to agree, and, I mean, we are literally influence leverages. This is our job. I'll be shocked if we can't convince some bureaucrats to change a complex policy when they're under immense stress. Right, so..."
Image
"Then we do a sort of social strife thing, and get people to hate immigrants. More than they already do. And the way we're going to do this is — do you guys remember when, I think, I'm pretty sure it was last all-hands meeting, or before that, but we had that social media idea? So, we have a bunch of bots — or, I think it was hiring people."
"It was hiring people."
"Right, okay. So we hire people to stoke the flames on both sides on social media in the country. So far where we've tested it, it's worked incredibly well. Won elections in some small countries, even. So I figure it's about time to try it on a bigger scale. And we stoke these divisions, and what we can do is, we can bring a sort of "white savior" complex to our client's country. If people there think, wow, these immigrants are fucking barbarians, then our client can market to them like — Hey, we're going to invest in the countries where these primates come from to try and make those places better places."
"White man's burden."
"Exactly."
Image
"Any questions?"
"Yeah, why do your PowerPoints suck?"
"Fuck off. Okay, I think we have a draft of the plan of action. We can start working on getting everything in order. Let's make this happen, team!"

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
RE: Think Tanks!
LEISHAAGEN, AURENTINA — We need more think tanks. Few developing countries have enough policy research institutes to help address the challenges they face. Instead, and because of this small think tank community, they have to rely on policy ideas coming from abroad — often from the think tanks, research centers, and consultancies set up in developed countries to lobby and influence international aid agencies.

With only a handful of policy research organisations to produce research and policy advice, policymakers and the public cannot be expected to be well-informed. That's why Vienna Consulting is partnering with key international stakeholders to start the Think Tank Institute.

It's time to think of a new model for think tanks: one that takes full advantage of new digital tools and resources and some of the best practice from established think tanks across the world. This goes beyond new tools to do old things. It means thinking of entirely new business models: new ways of delivering the same — or more — value to society. That's the problem the Think Tank Institute is built to solve.

Through TTI, we'll help developing countries build strong networks of think tanks and policy research centers that can satisfy the needs of governmental, non-profit, and corporate interests alike across the developing world. Our goal is to drive development, and to that end, we'll coordinate with companies, nongovernmental organizations, nation-states, and international agencies to tap into key resources for startup research centers in target countries.

Where do you find good, well-rounded, and committed board members? How do you employ great leaders with excellent networks, and how do you structure your organization to bring out their full potential? How can we best reach out to researchers to find associates for our think tanks? And where does funding come from when you don't want to indebit yourself to foreign financiers? Vienna Consulting wants to help you find the answers, and the Think Tank Institute is the place to start.

Beaming, Krivcę hung up the phone. He leaned back in his chair — leather — and gazed around his office again. Marble walls. A mahogany desk. A big, floor to ceiling window overlooking the riverbank. This was the high life. He stood up, straightened his jacket (provided to him by the company, by the way, like his car and his apartment), and strolled into the main office space. A dozen or so of his employees, all seated in big workspaces in a lounge-like office, were hard at work. Swift PUT laptops for each of them, brand new of course — provided by the company, of course. This was the height of luxury. This was peak business.

He cleared his throat, then cleared it louder to indicate to everyone to look up at him. "I have just gotten off the phone with the Chief Executive Officer, Vienna Eliot." An excited murmur spread across the room, and Krivcę worked to contain it himself. He exhaled sharply, then continued. "It's good news. I'd like to see everyone in the conference room. We've just received authorization to start our first institution."

It seemed the room could not help but burst into applause. A standing ovation. Krivcę joined in, beaming. This was important work. He could not wait to get started

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
RE: The Semata Centre for Environmental Policy Grand Opening
VARLAND, DAGMAR — When we announced the Think Tank Institute last month, a Vienna subsidiary with the goal of bringing robust policy options to developing regions around the world, we hoped it would play the important role we designed it to fill. We just didn't know how fast it would take on that awesome responsibility. Today, Krivcę Kalvas, TTI's Executive Director, held a press conference with Vienna Consulting CEO Vienna Eliot to announce the foundation of the Semata Centre for Environmental Policy.

The Semata Centre will be focused on performing high quality research on corporate and government environmental policy, especially as it pertain to regions where the mining and manufacturing industries play a significant role in the local economy. True to TTI's global-community oriented project, regional branches will not only hire local experts, but they'll work closely with hometown leaders and stakeholders, with corporate and labor interests and decision makers in the regions they work, and with policymakers in the communities their research affects.

With the generous help of the ALDO Foundation Worldwide, the SMPC in Sakaryata, and the ASFS-PAC in Dagmar, the Semata Centre will be celebrating its grand opening in Ryttären, Dagmar late next month at a breakfast honoring the former Commissioner-General of Varland, Søren Vigeså, a dedicated public servant who revolutionized the industry-environment relationship in his country. The Semata Centre Headquarters will open in the trophy office on 100 Ulf Skjeggestad Avenue in the Dagmari capital city of Ryttären with 119 employees — but the work won't stop there, as 15 regional offices are slated to open across the globe with 1,800 employees

The Board of Trustees will consist of Søren Vigeså, Alan M. Dachs, Alsfayr Njil, Glenn Hutchins, Elsinore Ophelia-Eliot, David Bloom, James Rogers, Lama Redia, Sa'id Asako, Ellen V. Luciano Siani will serve as President, Mehul Mohanka will serve as Vice President for Research, and Arabella Rose Kushner will serve as Vice President for Finances.

We're looking forward to the great work the Semata Centre will do in communities the globe over to cultivate strong, powerful, and lasting relationships between people, companies, and the planet we call home — Earth.

What's the name of your candidate or party?
Amelia Hatch of the Democratic Party.

What country are you running in?
The Cascadian Socialist Republic.

What race or election are you running for?
The emergency election to come in the wake of the Vote of No Confidence against former president Lillian Wendig.

How would you describe your political affiliation?
Far-Left | Left | Centre-Left | Centre | Centre-Right | Right | Far Right

What challenges is your campaign facing that you'd like to work with us on?
The Democratic Party favors the liberalization and capitalization of a socialist nation. Though now is obviously the best time to strike, as the main socialist party has just had egg in its face with a massive political crisis (namely, Nevada voting to split from the rest of the nation), it will still be an uphill battle to convince the electorate. This isn't helped by the fact that Nevada was the Democrat's main voter base. We also face discrimination from the Department of Electoral Integrity as a capitalist party.

We need to win the Presidency and a majority in the House of Representatives (at least 34 seats). To take the House, we would need at least 19 more seats.

Who should we put down as the primary contact for your candidate or party?
Amelia Hatch.

Thanks! We'll be in touch soon!

What's the name of your candidate or party? Party for Byzconian Socialism

What country are you running in? Byzconia

What race or election are you running for? The next general election is years off (IRL: a month), but we'd like to start working on this as soon as we can.

How would you describe your political affiliation?
Far-Left | Left | Centre-Left | Centre | Centre-Right | Right | Far Right

What challenges is your campaign facing that you'd like to work with us on? We're an extremely conservative party in a nation full of hippies. Byzconia is a socialist country, which we support 100%, but the socialists in charge are a bunch of Marxist internationalists. Right now everyone sees us as a bunch of reactionaries, but that couldn't be further from the truth! We just think socialism can co-exist with traditional Byzconian values (in fact, they're absolutely dependent on one another!), and we'd like help getting voters to see that.

Who should we put down as the primary contact for your candidate or party? Bernard Brand, MP and party leader

Thanks! We'll be in touch soon!
Democratic Socialist Republic of Byzconia: a post-colonial Francophone African nation currently undergoing authoritarian backsliding, set in a world where the Eastern Bloc liberalized rather than collapsing.

9:35 PM <@8154> Hello?
9:35 PM <@2666> Hi, Alex! It’s Daniel from Vienna Consulting.
9:35 PM <@8154> Oh, hi Daniel. What’s going on with you today?
9:35 PM <@2666> Nothing much. I’m calling because we have a client on our side who one of your subsidiaries do business with, in their country. Are you familiar with Cascadia? The Socialist Republic?
9:35 PM <@8154> Uh, I’d have to check… I think so. Yeah, we do, uh, shipping to a few of their ports.
9:35 PM <@2666> Oil shipping, industrial shipping…
9:36 PM <@8154> That’s right.
9:36 PM <@2666> Yeah, so I’m calling to ask you guys to cut off your shipping supply to their country for the next month or two. I mean, stop sending cargo ships to their ports. Stop making deliveries. We’ll cover all your losses.
9:36 PM <@8154> Uh—okay, I mean, we can do that, but I’m going to need a good reason to redirect our ships.
9:36 PM <@2666> No you’re not. Just say—actually, say that government policies are restricting you from transporting goods into the country. That will help us out a lot, actually.
9:36 PM <@8154> Okay. I can do that. Send me your documents?
9:37 PM <@2666> Yeah, I’ll send those over right now. Thanks so much.

TO: Amelia Hatch, Cascadian Democratic Party
FROM: Aki Tempest, Vienna Consulting

Dear Ms. Hatch,
Thanks for reaching out to Vienna! We've taken a look at the challenges your party is facing and we're excited to get to work.

Our research team has developed a strategic, fundamentals-based approach to help your party win a majority in the House of Representatives plus the presidency. We'll coordinate with some of our partners to push the national sentiment in your favor, utilize social media microtargeting to your party's advantage, and deliver financial assistance to push your candidates over the edge. We'll be working with several of our partners on your case, and we've attached a detailed plan of action to this letter for you to review.

Here's an executive summary of our targets:
  • The Democratic Party will flip approximately 24 seats in the House of Representatives, while holding at least 90% of its current seats, winning at least 37 seats total in the special election.
  • In particular, candidates will outperform previous electoral results in rural areas.
  • The Democratic Party will receive $12,452,000 in donations from Vienna Consulting and our partners.
Here's how we'll do it:
  • In coordination with our logistics, trade, and shipping partners, we will trigger slight economic duress over the course of the election by withholding imports, causing inflation in certain industries.
  • We'll dispatch a team of social media experts to produce and distribute content designed to cause internal division among socialists, thereby driving down election turnout.
  • We'll finance integral components of your candidates' campaigns to ensure that they're never short on funds.
Here are our terms:
  • When in government, the Democratic Party will offer government contracts to the companies listed in the plan of action at the specified dollar amounts, totaling $9,708,065,700 in contracts.
  • When in government, the Democratic Party will pass the Internet Data Information Availability Act detailed in the plan of action, and sign to Vienna Consulting an exclusive contract for Cascadian Internet data.

The board of SPV finds the offer by Vienna consulting very lucrative. But due to government regulations, cannot issue more than 9% stock to foreign entities within a span of 3 years. This problem can be sidestepped by issuing AAA debt bonds to Vienna worth 9% the stock value of the company at a 50% discount and transaction will be done through a series of shadow bankers and fees will be covered by SMPC.

Also, before killing any citizen, inform the SMPC board.
