The only words that come to mind are, "Fuck no." As far as legality, I'd say it's a strength violation. There's no way in hell that a proposal that takes such a benign act, one undertaken by billions of people, and makes it illegal under international law, can be considered "mild".

Good point.
Also, I'm thinking possible Contradiction of GA Resolution #436 'Protecting Free Expression'.

If the nation is classified as 'Anarchy' there still is a [strictly limited] national government... and those aren't "biker gangs", they're traditional cross-Clan 'Warrior Societies', generally respected rather than feared.

So what if it is a child swearing? The child obviously has to be present and I expect children to be just as foul-mouthed as anyone else.

And, unless its author is the same player that owns Finnish Australia, fairly obvious plagiarism of the proposal against swearing that we'd just been discussing...

General Assembly Proposal
ID: strebornia_1541499853

Low Emission Vehicles
A resolution to increase the quality of the world's environment, at the expense of industry.

Category: Environmental

Industry Affected: Automotive

Proposed by: Strebornia

Due to increasing global warming caused by rising levels of CO2 emissions, Strebornia's proposal is to rule out all petrol and diesel vehicles; with the exception of hybrids.

Category Proposals Below:

Individual:

Electric
Hydrogen
Solar Power

Business:

Hybrid
Electric
Hydrogen
Solar Power

Transport and Logistics:

Hybrid
Electric
Biogas
Hydrogen

Strebornia's proposals would also want to take into consideration electrifying all railways, and research alternative fuels to be used for air travel

Does this do anything? I only see them saying what they want this to do. Regardless branding. Does anyone have any idea what the list is about though?

If it did do anything then it would contradict GA Resolution #301 'Ban on Leaded Fuel', because as no specific time-scale is specified here this proposed ban would take effect as soon as it passed but GAR#301 gives member nations several years in which to phase-out the use of vehicles running on that...

Labor Law

A resolution to improve worldwide human and civil rights.

Category: Civil Rights

Strength: Mild

Proposed by: Truskholm

Recognizing the excess of industrial income tax,

Realizing that no state can do anything against the disadvantages of workers,

We have come to the conclusion that workers must have international fundamental rights.

1) Workers must not be forced to work more than 10 hours a day

2) Workers have the basic right to vote

3) Workers can form trade unions, discuss workers' rights and responsibilities within the company

4) Workers must have a minimum of 3 breaks, including the 30 minutes lunch break.

Clause 1 appears to contradict #302, Individual Working Freedoms
Clause 2 is just kinda random
Clause 3 appears to (badly) duplicate #43, Labor Relations Act.
Clause 4 is also rather random, and not a little micromanaging.

The Map Of The Regions?
A resolution to restrict political freedoms in the interest of law and order.

Category: Political Stability

Strength: Strong

Proposed by: Denekoland

I think all regions should have their own map . This is a game about countries ! Why not?. If all countries had their own map that game would be better. Can you imagine?. Let's do our best.

The Treason Act
A resolution to restrict political freedoms in the interest of law and order.

Category: Political Stability

Strength: Mild

Proposed by: Inu Empire

This proposal suggests that all political enemies or nuisances during emergency or war times will be charged with treason. The Treason act would secure political stability when it is needed most, and create a strict enviroment for the people.

Does nothing

Repeal: “Don't Kill The Poor Act”
A resolution to repeal previously passed legislation.

Category: Repeal

Resolution: GA#450

Proposed by: Paplem

General Assembly Resolution #450 “Don't Kill the Poor Act” (Category: Civil Rights; Strength: Significant) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

To call this dictatorial would be a bit of an understatement as it Forces member states to "aid to individuals escaping genocide on the basis of their economic status or employment, and to consider such persons refugees" Now I think the Member States should have a say in letting people in and out of there borders, And the member states could also be targeted for helping out the said country.

Now the reason I want this repealed is mostly because of this line right here it "Requires member states to render aid to individuals escaping genocide on the basis of their economic status or employment, and to consider such persons refugees" I think the Individual Nation should be the one that can control the borders not the WA and surely not this Act!

But to be fair the act has a good structure to it so I would change the "Requires member states to render aid to individuals escaping genocide on the basis of their economic status or employment, and to consider such persons refugees" to "Recommends the member states to air and support individuals escaping genocide deferring from there economic status or employment and consider such people as Refugees".

Blogging and branding. Also I would assume one could also add honest mistake considering there was ample discussion that the resolution does not force nations to take in refugees, which is the primary argument for this repeal. The last line of the first paragraph might save this from natsov only? Not sure on that point.

Renewed Views On Race
A resolution to improve worldwide human and civil rights.

Category: Civil Rights

Strength: Significant

Proposed by: Eduriania

It seems that the World Assembly has had a difficult time regulating inappropriate racial slurs being used in the creation of new WA member nations. The laws in place already are not as in-depth and carefully examined as they should be.

I therefore propose that:

1. The World Assembly's current acts regarding racial diversity be carefully reexamined to make sure they are clear enough.

2. The General Assembly publishes a proposal for a more general and in-depth set of laws regarding what can be used in the names and fact-books of member nations and regions.

3. The World Assembly take a more serious and active role in the surveillance of inappropriate activity within the WA.

This is important for the happiness and well-being of everyone in the World Assembly. For that reason, please take this proposal seriously as otherwise it could be difficult for such inappropriate actions to be condemned.

Branding, metagaming and does not affect membernations. Are there any rules on legislating that new legislation be made (reffering to 2)?

This doesn't actually seem to do anything either, also wouldn't this also count as incorrect category (I honestly don't see how this improves civil rights).

Repeal: “Restrictions On Child Labor”
A resolution to repeal previously passed legislation.

Category: Repeal

Resolution: GA#4

Proposed by: Hunnack Orionus

General Assembly Resolution #4 “Restrictions on Child Labor” (Category: Civil Rights; Strength: Strong) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

“Restrictions On Child Labor”, Category: Civil Rights; Strength: Strong, shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

Stating that this Resolution is considered a violation against the rights of nations' due process of law, and tarnishes sovereignty to countries. This resolution is also out-dated and needs to be rendered void.

Affirming that this repeal would lead to a Resolution that may be similar, or updated. This document should be updated with a Resolution that is more fair for countries and the World Assembly.

Stating that the following terms are void and/or in violation to a country's sovereign rights:
* Term (A) does not note whether or not a nation even defines "the legal age of majority", because some countries may not even do so to begin with, making this term void.
* Term (B-1) does not note whether what kind of conditions that may cause "physical or psychological abuse"
* Term (C) violates a nations' conscription laws, and a right to establish a rendered limit to its conscription laws.

Objecting the importance, the purpose, and the presence of the Resolution.

Opposing the Resolution's existence and its intention.

Concluding that this Resolution should be void and null, thus it should be repealed from the World Assembly because of its out-of-date terms and its violations against a country's sovereign rights.

Seems to be natsov only. Also not certain wether the following would be addressed by other resolutions.
* Term (A) does not note whether or not a nation even defines "the legal age of majority", because some countries may not even do so to begin with, making this term void.
I would however argue that it does misunderstand how WA laws work seeing as part of this is trying to say that it should be repealed as it does not necessarily apply to all nations. Maritime laws for example would not affect landlocked nations.

Agreed. Also, it can't "Affirm" "that this repeal would lead to a Resolution that may be similar, or updated", becasue that would require specific action by other players.

Oops! How did I miss that?

Add 'Honest Mistake' to the illegalities, because GA Resolution #299 'Legal Competence' requires member nations to set one.

Repeal: “Prevention Of Torture”
A resolution to repeal previously passed legislation.

Category: Repeal

Resolution: GA#9

Proposed by: TheWorldWinner

General Assembly Resolution #9 “Prevention of Torture” (Category: Civil Rights; Strength: Strong) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

I propose we repeal a certain extent of this.
ONE reason for this is because you may have a situation with terrorists where they kidnapped several other world leaders across the globe. what are you going to do then? keep searching and hope they don't get bored and kill you precious leaders.
TWO it helps get information on the whereabouts on gang members across your nation who may have committed mass murders, Gang attacks etc
THREE torture can help prevent terrorism. People who are in a terrorist organization(i.e I.S.I.S, I.R.A) will be in prison for life anyway while their accomplisses will get away scott free. Torture can bring the locations of them out of people. Furthermore, It can help find out where the next terrorist attack is going to be located and prevent it or delay it from injuring many innocent lives.

HOWEVER, i say to a CERTAIN EXTENT because i believe that you can torture to where they might have cuts, bruises and potentially some minor sprains. BUT i do not think you should allow torture to a point where they may have amputations, long term damage, emotional pain(e.g PTSD) or even death. Also i do not wish to allow biological or chemical torture either to a point of unessecary suffering. THE reason i think Some torture should be allowed is because otherwise it can lead to gang wars, terrorist attacks and many other economy and humanitarian disasters.

Thanks for reading please vote for

Branding, Real-world references, Seems to be attempting to amend the resolution, Blogging.

I labelled it illegal for the first three of those reasons: Fixing the branding would probably also fix the format by enough to solve the 'blogging' aspect.

Resolution is possiblely illegal under duplication rule. Author is the same as an identically named proposal with identical but not wholly phrasing of current proposal that has reached quorum.

That proposal does not duplicate an active resolution:

Originality: Proposals cannot contradict or duplicate active resolutions.

Taxing Environmentally Harming Goods

A resolution to develop industry around the world.

Category: Advancement of Industry

Area of Effect: Environmental Deregulation

Proposed by: Phoenxia

The world environment, though heavily protected is still degraded by certain plastics, oils, and more. By the passing of this law, the following products will get a 15-20 percent tax

A. Petroleum, Gasoline, and E85 (it may seem safe because it is not a fossil fuel, but it is very corrosive and harmful.) Will receive a 17 percent tariff.

B. Non-Biodegradable plastic goods receive a 20 percent tariff

C. A 15 percent tariff will be applied to any future goods proven to be harmful.

Pretty sure this is the wrong area of effect, plus, mandating tax rates on nations.

Improve Health Conditions For All
A resolution to modify universal standards of healthcare.

Category: Health

Area of Effect: Healthcare

Proposed by: East Vooperia

The General Assembly,

Realizes the drop in health for most regions.

Will create more hospitals, clinics, and facilities for more healthier conditions.

For better health in all regions of the world.

The General Assembly will create more health facilities to ensure that health conditions can improve over all regions.

Does nothing (it tells the GA to do something rather than member nations).
Ambassador Ariela Galadriel Maria Mirase
37 year old Arch-bishop of the Arasi Christian Church (also the youngest ever arch-bishop and fifth woman in the church hierarchy). An attractive but stern woman with a strict adherence to religious and moral ethical codes, also somewhat of an optimist. She was recently appointed to the position following the election of Adrian Midnight to the position of Patriarch.

Basically correct... although of course it would effectively be 'Environmental Deregulation' [IC, although still not OOC] in any member nation that currently has higher taxes on those goods. Maybe the author meant to say "15-20 percent tax increase", but accidentally omitted the last word?
