I don't have any issues deleting My RP and see what you guys have.

I do realize afterwards we should have at least tried to communicate first.

I did save the Original post as a draft though so I can tweek it later.

I'm sending out a TG about RPing in general.

Also Newmanistan, while I like your idea of the segmented race segments, I just think that it would help more with RP if the first four were not made public. I had an idea for an RP earlier but since some people use them as cannon and others like me don't it just turned into an issue.

Having times for each segment tells you stuff like who got off to a hot start, who came from behind late in the race, etc. It is useful info.

I think its reasonable to assume that anyone who DNF'd in the same segment could have been involved in the same incident. It actually gives you more flexibility in that regard than the other racing scorinators as the WGPC scorinator tells you a specific lap a driver dNF'd so there is no ambiguity. Here segments can be 100 laps long so there is a lot of wiggle room but probably not reasonable to say a driver who DNF'd in segment 1 timeframe and one from segment 5 were in the same incident unless the segment 5 DNF was able to continue after the first wreck and then later had another separate issue.

Also, I would say that "One big wreck" would not be IC to the track. "One big wreck" sounds like a superspeedway - which this is not. I read the IC Attribute of this track to mean "Accidents are frequent" not "Accidents don't always happen, but when they do they are big" - So I think it would make more sense per the track description for the DNF's to be spread out through the duration of the event, just as the scorinator produced them

Each segment represents one fifth of the race.
They are all made public so that people can see how their average times were arrived at. As Sherpa mentioned, you can gather a lot of useful info from them.

What does it mean if a driver is (for example) 30th in the last segment, and 5th at the end (average of segments)?

I would interpret it as they were strong all race long (for that to happen they have to be excellent in the first four), and then had some sort of issue in the last segment, forcing them to lose some spots.

So they didn't actually gain 25 spots then? Or can I make it so?

I think its up to your interpretation. Maybe there was a late-ish caution and they pitted for tires when the rest of the field didn't and they were able to work through the field

They also may have pitted early during an early checkpoint of session 5, came out with faster tires and then everyone else had to take a late pit stop. So you basically strategized one less pit stop. Maybe through drafting to save fuel?

It means they did really well in the 1st 4 segments, other drivers gained ground on them in the 5th segment, but because they had done so well in the earlier laps and they were in such a good position at the start of that segment, they hung onto 5th place overall.

Having 30th best time in segment 5 doesn't mean they are in 30th place for those laps. It's a lap time for those laps, ignoring what position they were in at the start of the segment.

Someone that starts the segment near the back of the field and has an amazing time might still not climb all the way to the lead. Likewise someone that starts out in the lead group, but then has the 30th best time for that segment, might not fall all the way to 30th place.

That's one way to look at it. Some people do kind of consider those the actual positions, or close to them though. It'd be so free form if one tried to estimate positions based on where they started. This is a faster moving field than the WGPC. Having said that, yes. Some people do look at that as the fastest lap and not the standings. I used to look at it that way. I joined those who saw those at least close to the standings. There's still room for drivers to kind of go either way. That's kind of why I don't nail down the laps as exactly as I could.

Hey, your team's gone global. Foreign NSSCRA fans would want to get in on their shenanigans.

Looks like Qiang's being a hit with many girls. Is the effeminate look in right now? (btw wanna see how your drivers look, even just by using real people's photos)

Some women think he's hot and others think he's totally unattractive. There are some strong differences of opinion depending on people's tastes.
A lot of people think he's cute, pretty, elegant, etc. -- but not sexy.
