PREMISE: Forever and A Day: A Comedy of Means follows the lives of a fictional coterie of young British (and European) socialites who either live in or frequent the most prestigious neighborhoods of London. These are the sons and daughters of real estate moguls, investment bankers, petroleum magnates, industrialists, agrarians, politicians, musicians, and the nobility, well-educated, wealthy as a rule, and refined - at least in the public eye. It is a role-play inspired to a significant degree by cringe-worthy dramas. You'll get to assume the roles of the socialites in question, their parents, or outsiders thrown into their world for one reason or another.

SETTING: The vast majority of the story will take place in modern-day, fictionalized version of London, in neighborhoods reminiscent of Kensington W8 or Chelsea SW3, though characters who are nouveau riche or outsiders may live else-where. Your characters will stumble through a litany of surroundings from the prestigious St. Catherine's School that the youngest of them share, to the boardrooms of the world's largest corporations, to Oxford and Cambridge, to the manicured lawns of football stadiums replete with twenty thousand chanting fans, to holiday villas in the South-of-France or seaside resorts in Spain.

Benji has mixed feelings towards his half-sister Briony, feeling both resentment and protectiveness towards her. He often speaks snidely to her. Family Members and Relationships: Fraser is the only son and heir to the Mclauchlan fortunes in the North-West of Scotland. And a close business associate of his Uncle Richard, founder and current CEO of a Private Security firm which is closely affiliated with the Ministry of Defense and Scotland Yard, a multi-billion corporation at this point, due to its high-profile contracts.

Biography: Fraser never really spent much time at home, beyond the age of twelve that is. In his toddler years, he was often tended to by nannies and various servants - even as far along as Primary School, which was privately funded rather than state-funded, as you could expect from the heir to the old aristocracy. He’d only attend secondary school until seventeen, before leaving in his fifth year bound for the University of Edinburgh, where he remained for a further four years, completing his Business Management degree. Throughout his University years however, he did gain a certain admiration from his Uncle - whose company’s headquarters was in the area, and he often found time to treat his nephew to lunch, quickly growing fond of him. And, upon the completion of his examinations - offered him the opportunity to work as one of his closest companions on the board, taking over the London branch of the company. Where to this day, they regularly meet and discuss business, as well as familial affairs. For, as would be expected - he now found little time in his social and professional life to travel north to visit his kin, unlike his Uncle - who still operated from the ancient city of Edinburgh. Upon the boy’s shoulders, lays a great deal of stress and expectation - so he seeks out relief in the high-class social scene of London’s more luxurious regions, found in Chelsea and the likes, though often struggles - due to his familial roots in the Scottish Highlands.

Family History: The Mclauchlan's are an ancient Scottish Clan, able to trace their lineage back to the 13th Century, for centuries they’d been staunch nationalists, and often feuded with other clans such as the Campbells. They were infamous for their staunch Catholic views in the 18th Century and allegiance to the Jacobite cause. But in wake of the Jacobin defeat, they became loyal British Subjects - and continued to support the crown in its expansion of the Empire, and later used their Imperial wealth to move into Industrial pursuits; with a series of successful business ventures leading the primary family as well as its extensions, to great wealth, and even further successes.

Additionally, it's highly probable that most of our characters would know or at least know of each other. So we should probably work on connections before beginning the in-character.

Biography: Creasy DeBourbon might have been another normal rich boy, but fate had other plans for him. At the age of six, he was sick and being nursed by his Aunt Elizabeth when his father, mother and twin sister were in an automobile crash that killed his mother and sister, and left his father with severely diminished mental faculties. As the boy grieved, he told his aunt that he missed seeing his sister. Chloe had been his aunt's favorite of the pair and shared the boy's sorrow. It was her idea to tell Creasy that since he looked so very much like Chloe that if he dressed in her clothes that he would be able to remember her and imagine what she looked like, just by looking in a mirror. Creasy agreed and found that he enjoyed looking pretty, so for as long as nature allowed it he would try to look like a girl.

His Aunt Elizabeth was initially worried, but she spoke with him and was satisfied that he would eventually grow out of this phase. Soon, she put aside her worries and actively helped Creasy to look and act like a young lady of means. Creasy is educated at home by private tutors and has yearly exams conducted by government officials and licensed educators to assess his educational credentials. He exercises with a personal trainer and has ballet and dancing lessons five days a week. Aside from his Aunt Elizabeth, only his trainer and dance instructors ever see him dressed as a boy and they have legal non-disclosure agreements to never reveal Creasy's transvestism. Still, his Aunt Elizabeth insists that he interact with other children, so he often goes out as Chloe, to play and socialize.

Family History: The DeBourbons are descended through a mistress of Louis XIV and the French King. They escaped to England at the time of the French Revolution. Through every generation, the DeBourbon family insists on exceptional academic performance by their children. The family has produced a number of notable artists, lawyers, politicians, scientists and writers since the Revolution.

Or Chloe may feel compassion and invite her to stay in the DeBourbon house, but still try to keep his own sex a secret from her.
