Peace Agreement with Vostravia Reached
Zaporizhie will be entering an era of Prosperity

Zaporizhian Inter-City Post - After days of anxious anticipation as a diplomatic meeting took place in Vostravia that would ultimately decide the fate of Zaporizhie, a clear decision has been made on what to do in Odabin. Hetman Zhovtiyy Holob has announced the events of the conference in a speech to the Rada, also open on all Zaporizhian Televisions*.

The following lines caught the attention of most folks: "We will see addition of Crimea, City of Kherson, Province of Pripyat-Rivne, City of Lutsk, and Grand City of Lviv, and Western Kiev into the Zaporizhian Union. We will also see the addition of a new Neighbour, the OSR, taking up the rest of the Anarchic states.". A crowed of Cheering followed the integration of Western Kiev, followed by a crowed of Confusion after "An Anarchic State" being mentioned. Some viewers clearly remember Odabin.

Multiple other points were mentioned, such as 4 billion dollars leaking out of our pockets and into Vostravias, and a 16 year treaty. The Hetman has also announced a post-war recovery program in which city taxes would be lowered to 2% from the previous 3%, and soldier recovery help.

A rumour has also spread around about the Ex-Hetman, Ivan Sirko, stating that he has left to Continue his career as an Aldcoast diplomat. This is yet to be confirmed.

Muller: "We're looking at a second Suez Crisis"
Besgaria, and other 'pro-Judean' nations, were awoken with a scary thing these past few months: Selective Suez Taxes. The government first experienced this in May of this year, when the UBS Griffin carrier group passed through the canal en route to Songjiang. The ships were stopped at the canal as Great Arabian State Suez Authority stopped the ships and demanded a toll in the form of kassas.

At the time, government officials were rather busy and occupied with getting our boats to Songjiang to really worry about what Admiral Evan Rosario stated as "A hustle of national proportions; it is unlikely the actual administration of the Great Arabian State is doing this and is probably just a few soldiers ways of making a few extra kassas."

It wasn't until July when the Ministry of Trade and Finance got wind of complaints from the Besgarian sailors going through the Suez. It wasn't just government ships being taxed, it was merchant ships. Besgarian companies were being taxed out of millions of kassas. The impacts of this had unbeknowingly hurting Besgarian business for months now, with no one even knowing about it. Truly a bureaucratic nightmare.

The response was quick and simple. Minister of Foreign Affairs Erika Muller issued an immediate denouncement of the Great Arabian State, claiming that their actions went against Article 3 of the APSIA Organisation. Muller and the COD moved naval assets to the Mediterranean and requested an immediate meeting with Western European Members. This all happened in the span of two days.

The Great Arabian State has not responded to Muller's claims and both countries must tread carefully to avoid conflict.

Latvichkan Forces Mobilize, War in Asia begins for the Steppe.

Today, September 20th, Latvichkan forces mobilize into the small nation of Tibet. The region, long known for their peaceful heritage, but also strategic position, and large population of nomadic peoples, has been in the view of Latvichka for some time, with much shared history with the region. The Khan claims this as a reclamation of historical ground, as well as a way to protect the populace. Due to the alliance with Songjiang, a promise has been made to them, and the people of the Tibetan plateau that no harm shall befall any Buddhist monasteries or high ranking monks. The Dali Lama has also been given the choice to live as a monk in Tibet, or be relocated to Songjiang, as well as the promise that none shall be injured should the nation give up its title as such and become a protected province of Latvichka.

Image
Similarities between Latvichkan and Tibetan nomads is not coincidental, as Latvichka once ruled the nation, and left its cultural mark on the people.

Palauraya Threatens Neighbor

Following heated tensions as a Cold War begins to shape the globe, Palauraya has turned to it's communist-aligned neighbor Glosslan. The Government of Palauraya has repeatedly threatened them to embrace a more democratic and capitalist government, and yet no action has been taken by the Glosslan Government. President Ibrahim Rahayu has decided enough is enough and has issued a formal threat of force if Glosslan does not realign themselves to a more democratic and free market government system soon. President Rahayu has noted that they will have a 2 week period to respond before any action will be taken.

Agriculture has always been know as an importance to our state and our history shows that our nations success almost mirrors that of food production.
Luckily this is not an issue right now! So food prices will remain at its low! A recent survey of the farms across our Republic shows a 13% increase of production compared to last years harvest.
As tradition President Glauco tours the "Corn Belt," the highest producing agricultural region in the Republic, granting more government subsides to the farmers that produce the largest harvest in each regional district.
On further information on the harvest output and the Presidents regional picks go to page 1-4!

For years the Romuknee Republic has the been the largest nation in North America and arguably the most powerful...
With the largest population numbering near 68 million, 6th largest nominal GDP in the world, and largest military power in North America President Glauco has decided that the Romuknee nation will no longer idly.
An executive order has been released increasing the number of hours required for military units to train weekly from 35 hours to 45 hours, at least 24 hours of the 45 require the unit to be in the field training. Naval squadrons have actually been told to hold on their drills, no love for the navy apparently? The Air force is actually benefiting the navy's downside with a slight increase of funding and a bit more air time increasing their 1.5 hours of air time to almost 3 hours.

Liberal and Democratic parties banned by interior ministry
Citing violation of the "subversive societies ordinance," the two parties have been shut down by the government

Vienna - The Ministry of the Interior, headed by new Vice Chancellor Wilhelm-Alexander zu Elbestrand, officially banned the Liberal Party and Democratic Party from all further organization and political activity.

The legislation enabling the government to enact this policy, aptly titled the "Subversive Societies Ordinance," enables the interior ministry to shut down any organization that engages in anti-government activity.

Police later raided the offices of the two parties, arresting the remaining top officials that have not already been arrested in connection to the attempted murder of the Regent.

Regent-Chancellor Josef Gulyás congratulated Minister zu Elbestrand and the Patriotic Front government on the actions.

Helping Panjal
Sietsk has managed to secure a deal with our friends in Panjal. Sietsk will help build and rebuild the sewage system in several major cities of Panjal, such as Lucknow. Although Sietsk's intentions were purely charitable, the government of Panjal offered us spices and other indian goods. Our government is sure that such deals with friendly nations will help achieve prosperity on both sides of the deal.

Representatives of Vostravia and Zaporozhie, invited to Vedrupol
Vostravia and Zaporozhie are still fighting over the remains of Odabin. It is a matter of utmost urgency to restore order in the region. Currently, the only reasonable way to do this is by dividing Odabin between Vostravia and Zaporozhie, but still maintaining the rights of it's citizens. Our diplomats will discuss this issue in our finally-repaired capital Vedrupol. Even though it suffered heavy damage during the wars of liberation, now the economy is booming at the conflicts of the past are no longer visible. A perfect time to show off our technological progress and excellent industry. Sietsk proposes that the two nation stop conflict, and that Zaporozhie receives Eastern Odabin, and Vostravia the rest. The borders of 'eastern Odabin' are yet to be determined, but they will include most of what's east of the Dnieper, and without the city of Kiev, as it will have a special status in both countries. If the diplomats do not agree by the end of the week, Sietsk will impose heavy economic sanctions on both sides and stop all further repairs on the territories of these countries.

Gulyás implements new constitutional changes
The head of state is replacing the upper house of parliament with a National Senate and consolidating his office into a presidency

Vienna - With the rubber stamp of approval from the Patriotic Front-controlled Congress of Deputies, Regent-Chancellor of Neuburg Josef Gulyás has passed through a new package of constitutional reform that would further solidify his control of the national government.

The first major reform is the abolishing of the Council of States, which formerly served as the upper house of parliament. The Council was stacked with several Councillors from each province of Neuburg, and served mainly as an advisory and review body. Gulyás frequently criticized the Council for putting province over country, and has opted to replace the body with the "National Senate."

The National Senate will comprise of 25 senators, with the head of state selecting 13 and the Congress of Deputies selecting 12. Senators elected by the Congress must be selected with a two-thirds vote, and all Senators appointed by the head of state must receive more than half of the Congress of Deputies' approval. Each Senator is appointed to serve a 10 year term, with no limits on their term, and are not allowed to affiliate with any political party or caucus.

The second major reform is the consolidation of the role of head of state and head of government into a presidency, converting the de facto form of government from a monarchy to a republic. The "President of the State of Neuburg," as the law defines, serves as a "symbol of the nation and chairs the executive branch of government." Unlike most forms of presidential republican government, the President is elected by a college formed by both houses of parliament; each Senator has 3 votes and each deputy has 1.

The role of President symbolizes two major developments: primarily, the merging of head of state and head of government. Although Josef Gulyás has served as the country's Regent and Chancellor simultaneously, for most of history the positions have been separated between the King and his appointed chief minister. Now, all prerogatives of both offices are merged. Secondarily, it marks the end of the Neuburg monarchy as a legal institution. Since Gulyás was simply serving as regent for the crown, this new development abolishes the monarchy altogether as an institution of government.

Josef Gulyás will temporarily serve as "Acting President" until the National Senate is fully assembled. Afterwards, he is expected to be elected 1st President of Neuburg unanimously and uncontested.

This morning the nation was surprised to find that the Empress had come to the decision to end the conflict with the CPC by joining our two nations together with a royal wedding.

This information was announced by Princess Princess Ming Kapil Aasmi who also told us that the ceremony was taking place in Beijing while the announcement was being made to the nation for security reasons. This union would also include changes to the government structure, with the monarchs taking a more active role in politics, while a member of the royal families would be taking over the traditional role of diplomat for the nation.

The Princess went on to tell everyone that this arrangement was the best possible outcome for the empire once which would save lives, and finally end a centuries old cold war.

Afterword we found out that Princess Ming Kapil Aasmi wil be replacing the Empress as the nations diplomat to other nations. former Chairman Emperor Ming Xeng Diaoping will share power with the empress though he has added the family name of Ming and any children born will be Ming.

It remains to be seen how this will unfold in the days and weeks to come.

Efforts to get wedding pictures were blocked for security reasons and the palace grounds were heavily guarded by both the Manchu Guard and the Red Guard preventing even snap shots from a distance.

Sweeping changes have been made to the Empire following the royal wedding. Songjiang and the Chinese Peoples Confederacy are no more replaced by a restored Imperial China.
A majority of both the CPC and Songjiang Army are being placed into reserve status with only 2million soldiers forming the new Imperial Army. the Manchu and the Red Guard have been combined into the Manchu Guard.
the marine and navy assets of the two nations are also being combined into a single Imperial Navy, while the airforce's are doing the same but being reduced in size by eliminating many of the CPC's more obsolete fighters, and aircraft.

Parliament is being replaced with an imperial Senate whose membership will be appointed by regional governors who are themselves appointed by town mayors who are elected by the people in each town. At the top the reigning monarch is to appoint a imperial diplomat, and select a senator from the senate to serve as Grand Chancellor of China. the senate appoints all other positions of state with the monarchs approval, similar positions on the regional level are selected by the regional governors and mayors.

all positions have been filled in government with many of them being filled by former CPC councilmen, or Songjiang parliament members, Princess Ming Kapil Aasmi was appointed as imperial diplomat, while former prime minister Hu Bing is now the Grand Chancellor of China.

Another Talk with the Gateway
Image
Romuknee Military Police in East St. Louis

Not so breaking news anymore, but still noteworthy event has taken place this last weekend that has caused another spur among the Republic and our Western neighbor.
Alaska-Saskatchewan and the Romuknee have been disputing the claim over the city of St. Louis for several decades now and in some cases have seen small explosions of violence between our two states.
Alaska-Saskatchewan has argued over the city claim due to the city being on the west side of the mighty Mississippi River; however, the majority of the people living in the city and surrounding areas are Illini one of the main cultures of the Romuknee, which the Romunkee are using to lay claim to the city.
This past weekend however has seen another rise between tensions over the city as state-runaway crossed over the bridge to West St. Louis, as police pursued the criminal Saskatchewan police stopped the chase allowing the state criminal to escape their punishment.
When our proud police attempted to keep the chase Saskatchewan police threaten to arrest their Romunkee counterparts. Although the chase was given up the Romunkee police and the Saskatchewan police continued their dispute on Eads Bridge until heavily armed Saskatchewan troops arrived and threatened to use force to remove the lesser armed Romuknee Police from the bridge. With this escalation of force by the Alaska-Saskatchewan government over the bridge the Romuknee Police decided that it may be best for them to leave the bridge; however, not much longer the local National Guard arrived on the east side of the Eads Bridge and closed the bridge from the West side.
From what it seems the Saskatchewan have done something similar closing the west side of the bridge to our own side of the bridge. This spurred a domino effect across the city with more National Guards from both sides have been called in and even more bridges have been severed, separating the Mississippi once again. Since then there has been no movement across the West and East sides of the city and more troops have been called in to defend their own bridges.
We are unsure as what will come of this, as the Alaskan-Saskatchewan head of government refuses to meet with President Glauco to discuss the current ongoing incident.
We do assume though that after a few more days the city will return to normal.
To know more and to go into more detail over the current Saskatchewan-Romuknee relations we have another article on page 5!

Secretary Ghosemajumder called the movements "a violation of Tibetan sovereignty," and demanded that Latvichkan forces leave Tibet, or face consequences.

The Statement also made an appeal to Tibetan leaders to work with the Panjali government in order to ensure that the sovereignty of Tibet is protected and maintained, and Secretary Ghosemajumder offered to meet with Tibetan leadership to discuss the matter in person.

Anglo Gangs "causing Anglo mayhem" • "What even happened in China?" - Erika Muller • First Panjali-Besgaria Non-streetshitter

"We absolutely must secure our interests and by extension our economy."
As the red wave continues to grope the world in a violative manner, the Great Arabian State continues with it's racist and xenophobic taxes on both military and merchant ships passing through the Suez Canal. It's undeniable the impact this is having on Besgarian influence and the economy.

Rikesprasident Westermarck has called an immediate meeting with the Norman State and Clanzia stating that the meeting is "of the upmost urgency and value for the security of Europe and the preservation of our Besgarian lifestyle".

The Council of Defence has dispatched a small fleet to the Mediterranean which will be stationed in Clanzia. Wulf Waldmuller, Minister of Defence has personally thanked Clanzia for their co-operation and solidarity regarding this matter. "May our nations continue to grow closer and closer together."

The Rikesprasident issued an official statement regarding the "Second Suez Crisis":

We absolutely need to remember that the Great Arabian State is doing is all because we met with a nation who they suspect terrorists from. That does not in away justify the appauling nature of the economic sabotage being exacted upon not only our military but our own companies and corporations that are being unjustly taxed for trying to make the world go around and make a living. It's despicable, not only is it a breach of moral law, it is in direct conflict with Article 3 of the APSIA Treaty, which I may remind the international community sparked a large scale war in 1979 and 1980. How come we are ignoring it now?

The Rikesprasident has pleaded to the international community for an intervention, particularly Neuburg, the rest of the WEU, Anadolu and practically every nation in the world.

We will be executed in 1985 at the age of 17. Many are calling it unconstitutional but under Frihetsstad Law it is technically legal, even if morally ambiguous.

Future negotiations can only hold better prosperity for both countries and understanding between us. The president has stated "I am eager to start negotiations".

The Birth of the Global Petroleum Standards Organization
      Image
President Fahmi oversees the meeting with foreign leaders.

As the prices of oil escalate, and nations irresponsibly endanger global supply by waging wars and enforcing embargos on major suppliers, it has become clear that a unified body of oil producers is required in order to keep the planet's needs satiated. President Fahmi al-Molla took the initiative by inviting various foreign leaders to join the Greater Arabian State in the creation of such an organization: The Global Petroleum Standards Organization. Under the wise council of its member-states, the GPSO will regulate production, export quality, and pricing of petroleum extracted in their nations.

We the people of Arabia would like to thank the citizens of the Iranian Federation, Nigeria, Panjal, Palauraya, and Noorizadeh for being able to put ideology aside and prioritizing the betterment of humanity.

The Little Known Problem in Tibet

      Image
Elite Latvichkan Scouts in Sovereign Tibetan Soil

While the mainstream media followed the absolute mess of Chinese politics, the vast and mysterious nation of Latvichka went to work. Having a strong warrior culture based on tradition and faith, these nomadic people have found their way into just about every major Asian military conflict, be it for loot, training, or conquest. But rarely have they been so bold as to openly defy the borders of an established nation. On
July 20th, 1983, forward scouts of the Latvichkan horde pushed through the largely unguarded Tibetan border and brazenly rode through the area. The small Tibetan army was quickly mobilized and began to follow the Latvichkan troops.

Their intentions were clear. They wanted a fight. They wanted a reason to mobilize their horde and push en-masse. We denied them the pleasure and instead slowed them down. Redirected them. Starved them.

-Lieutenant Tamdin Ladakh, Tibetan Royal Army

Masters of steppe life, the Latvichkan troops maneuvered through the Tibetan positions and hunted game to sustain themselves. Their hardy mounts thrived in the region. They continued their show of force, completely humiliating the Tibetan state. Left with no choice, Lord Tahala Weinberg of Tibet flirted with the Panjali government for protection, and instituted a draft. The Latvichkan horde, already within a week's ride of the border, trains constantly for the chance to come back home as battle hardened warriors of the Steppe. Chinese and Panjali politicians watch on cautiously, ready to act should things escalate.

Who would have thought that little ol' Tibet would be the catalyst for a regional war?

Prisalia Says No to Al-Apayayah

Image
Qevin Florencio speaking about the pressuring

As many know, Al-Apayayah has recently started pressuring Prisalia to give up an integral part of their territory to them. While Prisalia understands why they'd want it, PM Qevin Florencio states that the land rightfully belongs to Prisalia. He states "We will not hand over our rightful land to Morocco no matter how much they ask." The people of Prisalia are reportedly strongly in favor of keeping our hold over the land. The land is part of the Autonomous Duchy of Gibraltar, an integral part of Prisalia that has a little bit more representation in parliament than the rest of Prisalia, on account of it being an autonomous constituency, and its capital, Tangier, is even in Africa. Most of the government is made up of native Arabs as well. There is no oppression of natives going on there, and any Apayayans who say otherwise are lying.

Results out, new HoC announced next week

With the Great Arabian State on the foot of what seems to be an increasingly clear declaration of war on the civilized world, the Councilor Foglia decided to comment decisively on the moves of the oil-exporting country promising the sending of additional troops and planes to the region of Barquah and requesting a meeting with the country's leader. This long time between the GAS measures and a response of the government seems to have weakened the figure of Foglia in the eyes of the public opinion. All this happens in a period of political tension, with the result of regional votes for the members of the Council that outlines an unexpected profile. Foglia's main adversary is Maurizio Del Vinci, former advisor and CEO of the country's biggest financial group, NuovoVita. Charismatic and independent leader, he has made it to the top with one word on his mind: neutrality. He has always carried on the idea that the country must return to its roots as a merchant republic; contrary to Foglia's hard line against GAS and the country's commitment to the Middle East, he spoke of "a line of neutrality that will benefit the entire nation". Del Vinci has not spared ambiguous comments on the WEA, criticizing first his immobility in such a delicate moment and proposing a removal of Clanzia from the union, then retracting everything and talking about a "removal probably related only to the military part of the agreement", saying however, "having to meet the leaders before they can decide".
The leader then spoke of a central point in his position, that is, the enormous easing of the rules that control finance and the market. "Too many rules strangle our growth. I do not see why a good citizen should present such a detailed report to obtain financing; Home is a right, health is a right, entertainment is a right. "
Everything is now in the hands of the new council, which in a week will have to decide on the new leader of the nation.

Ramaljo Line Begins Construction

Image
Construction Workers Being Interviewed by ATVP

The Prisalian government has announced that it is pouring 2 billion dollars into a line of forts along the Apayayan-Prisalian border. The line is going to be called the Ramaljo (Rah-Mal-Yo) Line, named after Jaq Ramaljo, an Andalusian engineer, who will be overseeing the construction. The fortifications are meant to repel a potential Apayayan invasion into Prisalian lands. While many of the details are kept secret, it has been made known that they will be built to withstand huge amounts of firepower, including tanks and airstrikes.
