What's really worrying me is how much influence your Church has in the Inquisition. I did not plan on a church having a lot of political power (Even though it's worthless in the Free City) in the Inquisition. Sure, you got major religions but their using their power to defend the world from the forces of darkness and assisting the lesser known religions. From what I'm getting off of you and the app, the Church is more concerned with its own survival rather than the survival of forces of good as a whole.

And that's scaring me that this might distort the vision of the Inquisition since I'm planning to expand on its lore through Strauch's dialogue with the other adventurers.

Ah, hmm - would it be better in that case if the Church of the Divines was not a part of the Inquisition?

Edit: Just made them not a member of the Inquisition for now :) will prob make things easier

Edit 2: On another note - any of the contracts still need people?

The goblin extermination and Red Hill caravan escort contracts still need people. I've been holding off on moving on with Sylanna (the latter contract) so that late comers can join in, so feel free :P

He does beat Vul and Roxana in strength, to be fair. :P

Edit: Let's not forget Ceridwen. And he beats Ryo in both strength and agility. So yeah, not an elf thing -nods-

I considered compiling all the known sub-orders and religious orders that make up the Inquisition and maintain the Free City. I got some names but it's mostly for same rp flavor that Strauch could bring up.

Makes me wish we could go to the Free City of Faith after we're done with the quests.

Okay pretty much all of it looks good. The last issue i see is the boon. It seems overpowered for a starter boon so I'd recommend removing the last two paragraphs on her boon as the first one is good enough plus adding the "she cannot use her boon when she isn't in danger" to the first paragraph if you want.
Edit: seeing as you edited in my suggestion, Character Accepted

Faction Name:
D’shar Empire
Faction Region: Tejis Desert
Description/Lore: The D’shar is a old civilization, known for its stubborn resilience against ruin - where other nations would have collapsed, defeated by the passing of time. First was the D’shar Principalities, a feudal society with Khans, Lords, and Caliphs respectively. While other kingdoms would shun the dark arts - black magic wasn't banned in the Principalities as it was used commonly for combat and ceremonial purposes.

The D’shar Principalities would exist for centuries - but real history was made during the secession crisis of recent. The last of the Caliph of the D’shar Principalities, Bahman, had no true heir to replace him. A secession crisis has thus begun among the D’shar lords with breakaway territories vying for power. During the 5 year crisis, a lesser Khan by the name of Hamid gained prominence via his skillful conquest of his rivals. In the last year of the crisis, Hamid sieged the capital of Torbah, former capital of the Principalities, and managed to take it. Shortly after cleaning up the last remnants of his rivals, Hamid would crown himself in Torbah, forming the D’shar Empire from the ruins of the Principalities.

In his new state, the old feudal system was gone - instead, a centralized government was assembled. Once there was lords and princes, there is now administrative bureaucrats that govern the lands and properly collected the tax. The days of levies and unorganized armies under lords were no more. A centralized professional army was made that only answered to the Caliph - high levels of organization and logistical capabilities made it into a powerful army, feared by many nations. The dark arts and the sciences was further researched and used to its exploited potential. The D’shar Empire was a revolutionary state for its time in the Tejis Desert, and still is to this day.
Races that are part of the faction: Humans and Undead
Additional Info: N/A

Image
Name: Torbah
Dominant Group: Humans and Undead
Region: Tejis Desert
City Size: Megalopolis
Notable features: The vast dunes of the Tejis Desert are indeed a inhospitable place of scorching heat. Luckily, not all of the Tejis Desert is mere coarse sand. In few places, there exist rivers and fertile land that can support large settlements. Such place was the Torbah river, birthplace of the D’shar civilization. Not only able to support a massive population - the salts and spices located, a few miles from the Torbah river, has enrich the city with immense wealth.
Age of City: 5,000
Major Industry: Slaves, Salt, and Spices.

Name: Telisaran Sylvarin
Age: 28
Gender: Male
Race: High Elf
Appearance (pics if possible): https://i.pinimg.com/originals/d7/0f/cc ... 11d0c1.jpg
Statistics: (All stats are at 1 by default, you have 8 points to distribute and you can only put 5 points maximum at the start to any stat)
Strength: 2
Agility: 5
Endurance: 2
Magical Prowess: 3
Bio: Talis was born an orphan but was adopted by a noble family who took pity on him. A child of privilege, Talis spent much of his youth as an arrogant and slothful teenager, generally causing a nuisance for most people and bullying those he found lesser than him. However, things changed when the young man was suddenly kidnapped and held for ransom. Unfortunately, his family refused to pay the ransom, despite the tenacity of the kidnappers. Tortured and traumatized by his captors, Talis spent a year in the kidnappers' custody until he was sold into slavery. Though he managed to escape and return, the experience changed Talis. No longer the son of wealth, the young boy of 17 eventually found himself in the City of Scholars. He gravitated to the monks and their disciplines, wanting some way to re-make himself.

It was a year before he could join a discipline. He was chosen by the master of The Way of Steel, a harsh man who trained the boy in the arts of fighting and learning. Talis proved to be a gifted student for both, eventually becoming one of the Brothers of the Way of Steel.

His first taste of combat came in a mission. Most Disciplines will send their students on missions to prove their loyalty and dedication. Though the disciples of the Manyfold path (in general) eschew material possession, they do require money to fund their way of life. In fact, the money they gain from these missions is often more used in a friendly competition between the disciplines, with much of the money being donated to the poor of the city.

This mission saw Talis track down and kill a band of criminals. Not only did he accomplish this goal, but he was noticed by the Legion, who wished to recruit him. Seeing this as a good way to further expand his horizons, he asked the Master of Iron for permission to join, and it was granted. Now Talis works for the legion and the disciples of steel, giving much of his pay away to the poor of wherever he happens to be sent.
Heroic Boon: Hands of Warding: Talis' hands are capable of disrupting and dealing damage to magical beings. When touching such a being, or attack them, his hands burn their flesh. This can be used on normally intangible creatures.
Abilities:
  • [Way of Metal]: Telis is a disciple of the Discipline of Steel, and as such has access to magics and techniques taught by the Iron Masters in Allhamar.
    • [Hands of Steel]: Telis is able to transform his hands into a metallic substance. When hitting with these hands it is with a force similar to that of a mace.
    • [Deflecting Palm]: Talis can use his metal hands to block attacks able to both block melee attack and able to catch arrows and even bullets.[/b]
  • [Art of Metal] Talis is trained in a brutal martial art which emphasizes a crippling offense and a fluid defense.

Limitations (Reasons why your char can’t singlehandedly conquer a kingdom):
  • Talis can only transform his hands into steel.
  • Talis can deflect single range attacks very effectively, but massed fire will more than likely cause him trouble.
  • Talis' Hands of Warding is less effective the stronger the creature in relation to himself. It also does not work against mages.
  • Talis life all elves has a wisp, but he does not use it and it rarely comes out.

Equipment: None. He has forsaken worldly possessions.

Optional
Likes: Learning, Combat, Dedication
Dislikes: Sloth, Arrogance, Greed, Boats
Greatest Fear: Helplessness

Name: An'Zarok, the Rock of the Laughing Wolf
Dominant Group: Humans (though nearly all other races are allowed to visit or settle)
Region: The Northern Reaches
City Size: Megalopolis
Notable features: An'Zarok is a massive city located in Rosen Vale, one of the southernmost areas of the Northern Reaches. It's the first major settlement one can find after crossing the Great Bridge, which connects the Urban Center and the Northern Reaches; the city-state unofficially controls the bridge, with a contingent of Zarokin priests and soldiers stationed there to ensure that free transit between the two regions is not threatened by any faction. The city proper is a hub of trade, tourism and leisure. Large gardens full of exotic flowers dot the city, imitating the Vale's natural beauty, and large, luxurious buildings are the norm everywhere one goes. Three nearby towns export food and drink to the city, as well as raw materials that are turned into luxury goods for trade within and without the city-state. Markets, brothels, auction and opera houses and even gambling halls can be found throughout the city to encourage commerce and provide entertainment for both inhabitants and visitors. At the center, built over the river Gan which bisects the city, one can find the Temple of the Rock, the holiest site for the Children of the Laughing Wolf as well as seat to both the Tyrant of An'Zarok and the six High Priests that handle the city's religious matters. Despite it being such a sacred place, visitors are allowed to observe and sometimes even participate in the ceremonies that are often carried out within the temple.
Age of City: 1641 Years
Major Industry: Commerce and tourism

Faction Name: Children of the Laughing Wolf
Faction Region(s): The Northern Reaches (primarily)/The Urban Center (small pockets)
Description/Lore: The Children of the Laughing Wolf have existed since the first group of humans arrived in Rosen Vale. Refugees fleeing from a great war to the South and West, these humans thought they had found a promised land as they laid their eyes on the lush, flower-covered grasslands and the pristine river that ran through them. Opting to settle down and live on the Vale, they were soon contacted by the ancient deity that lived deep beneath the river, known only as the Laughing Wolf. In exchange for their worship and devotion, those people received power, guidance and a new way of life. By following the will of their lupine god, the people of the Rosen Vale eventually grew into the prosperous civilization that is centered around An'Zarok.

Today, the Children of the Laughing Wolf are a large religious group that, while primarily concentrated in the Rosen Vale, also has some presence in other parts of the Northern Reaches and in various enclaves in the Urban Center which maintain close contact with the High Priests of An'Zarok. They are very open about accepting others into their creed, no matter the race or origins, and many are attracted to the opulent, whimsical lifestyle that they promise, though naturally not all are able to benefit from it. Those who display true devotion to the Laughing Wolf earn access to the abyssal magic that the deity itself offers its children.
Races that are part of the faction: Humans are the dominant group, but all races are accepted and treated equally, and High Elves, Snow Elves and Dwarves aren't a rare sight in the organization's ceremonies.
Additional Info: Different from most organized religions, and indeed, from most societies in general, the Children of the Laughing Wolf favor women over men for matters of religious significance. The six High Priests of An'Zarok are almost always primarily women, it is only women who are eligible to undergo the ceremony to become brides of the Laughing Wolf, and in general women tend to have a better grasp on abyssal magic than men.
