NationStates Fencing Interest/Discussion Thread

So, I keep thinking about this. Olympics are coming and I'm barely in the mood for it. Apart from Rugby and Basketball, I don't roleplay most of the Olympic sports. But fencing is something I always thought of RPing more carefully.

Okay, it may not reach most of you, but I've been thinking in start a fencing tournament, individual, by nations or even by teams composed by fencers from one or more nationalities, like in RL Cycling events.

Also, it could count points to individual, team and national rankings, like in RL Cycling, Tennis or Horse Polo.

So we would have, theoretically, three (or six) categories in mind, Team (and Individual) Foil, Épée and Sabre.

Does anyone else would be interested to participate in this?

I'm a big fan of alot of those Olympic Sports that do not have a sport for them on here or who do and just on hiatus ( ex. Archery and Water Polo)

And i am very excited for the Olympics.

So if this is something your passionate about. West Phoenicia would field players and teams.

That seems like a very interesting idea. I'd certainly be interested, though I'll admit that I'm not sure how much time I'll have to RP after the Cup of Harmony is over.

Someone else interested in Fencing? I understand this one is a niche sport, and may not be that popular, but think about the RP possibilities!
