Political News

The Election cycle gripped 10KI for most of September. The Election centered around the election of a new Delegate and two Senators.
Kuriko and Dominion of Compassion, both longtime Islanders, announced candidacy for Delegate with Kuriko ultimately winning with 69.05% of the vote.

For Senator of New Republica South Jabberwocky announced their bid for a second term. Sargon Reman initially announced their candidacy but soon withdrew their name and ran for the other Senate seat of Blue Canaria North, due to the fact that it was discovered that incumbent Kozmix had left for RL reasons. Both are in the same political party.
Jabberwocky and Reman both were elected unopposed with 89% of votes cast for each.

Around the Islands

-Paffnia was awarded the Heart of the Islands Award for years of hard work in the civil service.
- Kuriko's resolution, SC Resolution #262: Commend Frattastan II, has passed.
- The XKI University has a new Dean and Deputy Dean, Palman and Sargon Reman respectively.
- The Council has passed NS 280-1: Re-examination of the Banning of Land filled with People 4-0, with 4 delegations to the Chief Executive's prerogative and 1 vacancy. Chief Executive Woonsocket has accepted the Council's recommendation and unbanned him. The nominee is a known member of the defender community.
- XKI did very well in the annual N-Day nuclear event, with our faction STIFF-ARM placing high in the rankings. We would like to thank our nuclear allies in The Union of Democratic States and The Hole To Hide In, as well as others, for an amazing job during the event. Without them, XKI would not have made 5th overall!
- The Council passed NS 280-3: Force Embassy Request 8-0, with 1 vacancy.
-The Council passed NS 280-2: House Protection Act Repeal 8-0, with 1 vacancy.

Three TITO knights were promoted!

-First one up is Sir Kortexia! Our beloved Tactical Officer who also keeps our much beloved Discord Bot running. He has been promoted to TITO Knight Armada Commander and was awarded the Knight Armada Commander Medal!

-Second one up is Sir Kanta Hame! Sir Kanta Hame is the longest serving Tactical Officer currently on Command, serving since 2015. He has been promoted to TITO Knight Armada Commander and was awarded the Knight Armada Commander Medal!

-Third one up is Sir Flemingisa! Sadly, Sir Flemingisa had to step down from game related activities and therefore was not present to receive his medal. He has been promoted to TITO Knight Commander and was awarded the Knight Commander Medal!

- TITO also welcomed back former member Hahiha / USSR.

- TITO also extends a warm welcome to new members silpes and lyreste

Official Announcement from the Council of 9

Greetings fellow 10000 Islanders and foreign Ambassadors. I come before you today to make an announcement regarding a very important piece of legislation recently approved by the Co9, a piece of legislation important to the future of our region and another one. During the term of my predecessor, Delegate Alkasia, talks began between 10000 Islands and The Rejected Realms on formalizing a long time unformalized treaty.

I am happy to announce that, as of earlier today, the 10000 Islands - The Rejected Realms Treaty of Friendship was announced as passed by the Co9. We hope that this treaty will bring our two regions closer together, as we have much in common and help each other militarily all the time. The Treaty, which was passed through the TRR Assembly earlier last week, is seen as a milestone in the relationship between 10ki and TRR. Thank you for your time, and long live the friendship between 10ki and TRR!!!!

Good day to you, Islanders and friends. Today I come before you once again to make an important announcement, and this one once again has to do with the passage of an alliance treaty between 10ki and another region. This treaty, which I began working on shortly after my term started, was designed to bring 10000 Islands and our long time friends in Yggdrasil closer together through formal relations.

I am happy to say that earlier last week the 10000 Islands - Yggdrasil Treaty was passed by the Co9 here in 10000 Islands, and is awaiting being passed by the Council of Elders in Yggdrasil. I hope that this will bring our two regions closer together in harmony, friendship, and shared values.

10000 ISLANDS - YGGDRASIL TREATY

The sovereign regions of 10000 Islands and Yggdrasil, in recognition of their close past relationship and desire to formally expand on them, do mutually agree that:

(1) Both regions will maintain embassies with and have a named ambassador to the other.

(2) Denizens of each region will be welcomed on the other regions' mediums of communication insofar a ban imposed on any denizen by either region or other form of prohibition remains withstanding. In which case, the targeted denizen does not fall under the protections of this stipulation.

(3) Denizens of the two regions may take part in events and activities hosted by the other where applicable.

(4) Both regions, as long as they are under the terms of this Treaty, agree to a permanent non-aggression pact and may cooperate in Z-Day, N-Day and any future events.

(5) The founder or government of either region may request assistance from the other should the request be consistent with the internal policy of both regions and the request not harm the security, reputation and interests of the region assisting.

(6) Each region will inform the other of any threats to that region's security, reputation, or other interests that come to their attention.

(7) Neither region will engage in activity detrimental to the security, reputation, or other interests of the other.

(8) This Treaty, when signed by both signatories, will become the principal Treaty superceding and or nullifying any previous Treaty signed between the two signatories.
