Convet Passes Daredland Freedom Support Resolution: Sunrisian Naval Forces Patrol Waters Off The Coast Of Southwestern And Central Corentia, Help Daredi Navy Protect Strait Between Daredland And Edereon

Image

The Convet of the Sunrisian Second Republic has passed the Daredland Freedom Support Resolution, which has reaffirmed material military aid to Daredland and has authorized for the Sunrisian Naval Forces to help patrol the strait between Daredland and Edereon. The Convet had passed the bill after President Válîd Sâlúbĕr exchanged phone calls with Interim Chancellor Franz Potesinan of Daredland and Prime Minister Céc Mustigañ of Edereon, on coordination of military action and movement. The Daredland Freedom Support Resolution serves as a companion bill to the Daredland Reinforcement Resolution, as some of the former bill’s terms are included and expanded upon in the latter bill. However, the Daredland Freedom Support Resolution focuses more on the military clause and helping Daredland prop up its’ national defense.

Apart from monetary, tech/equipment and training aid to Daredland, the new resolution tasks the Sunrisian Naval Forces with helping the navies of Daredland and Edereon, if Edereon partakes, to guard the strait between Daredland and Edereon. It is an important location and one of the points, which helps maintain direct geographical contact between the Daredi Confederacy and MDAA states. This contact is important in order to keep Daredland open and with access to direct aid in case of pressure or aggression against the country. The Seven United is the largest access point to help Daredland, being a neighbor, which shares a long border with Daredland. However, the Sunrisian Department of Security supports the notion that it is important to keep all access points available, so that Daredland is not left alone in the face of threats and could be reinforced through many pathways. The Daredland Freedom Support Resolution exempts any contact with the Hasperan Republic and the naval patrols on the strait between Daredland and Edereon, would not be tasked with affecting Hasperan trade, despite the secessionist territory not being recognized by Sunrisia. The Sunrisian Department of International Relations has informed the interim government of Daredland that Sunrisia would not presently partake in blockading or trying to influence the Hasperan Republic, leaving it for the Daredi interim government to handle as an internal Daredi affair.

Sunrisian Minister of International Relations Ectrăr Álienan had the following statement on the Daredland Freedom Support Resolution:

We want to make sure that Daredland feels reinforced, safe and supported. The country should be allowed to hold its own election in peace and quiet, without any outside military presence or foreign pressure. It should be an entirely domestic Daredi political process. Daredland should also not be blackmailed into adjusting towards or giving concessions to any foreign parties about how it should conduct its’ strictly internal affairs. The problems of the Hasperan Republic and the Weniges Reich are strictly internal affairs of Daredland, which the Daredi government will resolve at most with the separatist leaderships of the Hasperan Republic and the Weniges Reich. End of story. We will help Daredland with geopolitical security and help strengthen the government and non-government institutions of the Daredi state, but we and everyone else should stay out of what political processes happen inside. Daredland is once again a free and sovereign nation, and from here on now, they will stay that way.

Similarly to Librira’s pro-activity, the Sunrisian Naval Forces have increased patrols of international waters off the coast of southwestern Corentia and central Corentia. The Department of Security says that it is important to uphold parity, deterrence, mobilized potential, power balance and the shielding of the region, among other important things.

Daredi And Hasperan Responses To Belantica May Cause Shift In Support
When the United Queendoms imposed a list of request into Daredland and the Hasperan Republic not too long ago, it didn't take long from both factions to reject them flat out. Naturally, Parliament is formulating a response to their requests being ignored. One of the goals of the earlier requests was to allow for the Hasperan Republic to have a better stance with the outside world, however this notion wasn't perceived and the Hasperan leadership showed sign of near racist and xenophobic tendencies. With this, Parliament is now giving the Hasperan Republic a"take it or leave it" option, meaning if they reject it a second time, Belantica will withdraw all support for the state.

"Even though we have offered the HR a way to actually be recognized as a sovereign state," said Jessica Holbourne, Senator of the Liberal Party," their leadership decided to let racism and xenophobia get the better of them and reject what may be their only offering of outside contact. All this proves to us is that the Hasperan leadership is about as unreliable as the Daredi leadership, to the point where they needed to drag the Sunrisians to serve them, much like a child that constantly messes things up and makes someone else fix their problems." It is unclear what the Queen's official stance on Parliament's "take it or leave it" attitude now being taken on the Daredi Crisis.

"You know, maybe the Daredi idiots have a point," stated some random man in a hivis shirt who was fine with an interview, "all this f**kin' meddlin' around in other people's problems is a problem. We don't like it when c*nts from abroad tell us what to do and how to act, so why should the c*nts that run our country do the same? Besides, they just proven they're a bunch of racist xenophobes anyway, so we should be givin' them a f**kin' helpin' hand. Also, Sunrisia should also get the f**k outta there too, those c*nts seem to love to f**k with politics, they all need to crawl behind their f**kin' wall and stay there, and not give a damn about us! You know what, I'm a tradie, I'd be glad to have them pay me to build their wall to hide behind!"

Some MPs are now considering to align closer with the Weniges Republic, which has been shown support for by the Englean Kaiserreich. However, Parliament is still very divided on the issue of the WR.

'Organic' produce banned from Lindian supermarkets' shelves

Artwingen -- Today parliament voted to pass the the new food marketing law proposed by the secretary of consumer safety Mark Sonnedijk (LVL) and the minister of agriculture, energy and natural resources Jaap de Link (GP). The new law would, among other things, ban the use of 'organic' and 'natural' to market fresh produce such as fruits and vegetables. Additionally, the new law opens the way to legally market lab-grown and artificial meat. The law passed without the backing of a significant number of GreenProgressive MPs, despite them being part of the current coalition and the law being co-signed by a GP minister. Instead the cabinet could count on the support of opposition parties such as the Union of Christians and Lindenholt Forwards, parties whose voter base is largely rural.

A list of twelve labels have been specifically named by the new law, which will come in to effect on 1 January 2019. The law also makes it possible for a judge to decide whether or not a label is alien to the guidelines set by the new regulations. Foreign produce is exempted from these new rules. The use of words such as 'organic' and 'natural' were banned as the current minister of agriculture, energy and natural resources believes that "[...][A]ll crops from Lindenholt are natural, even if they're GMOs.". This argument was backed up by the secretary of consumer safety, stating that: "Without GMOs half the world would starve, and it would be unfair to the scientists and farmers who work tirelessly to feed us, to label products who do not use their advances in technology and science as though they're superior".

Members of the Labour Party called out the minister and the secretary, saying that they were bought over by GMO giants such as Agricola in an effort to increase the sale of GMO crops, which were "totally not natural" according to Labour MPs. Laughing off these accusations minister De Link, son of a farmer and a Beutrecht University of Agricultural Sciences' agricultural engineering graduate, explained to the parliament the reason why carrots are orange has everything to do with modifying the genes of the historically purple carrot.

Civil Service Union proposing general public service strike for a week in November / Englean Language and Culture Act fails vote in Unitary Parliament

Days after Unitary Commissioner Christina Anderson began making moves on drastically cutting the size of the bloated and bureaucratic civil service, the Union in which over half of civil service members belong have now started proposing their first general public service strike in the history of the CSU (Civil Service Union). The strike will involve the mass-walk out of over half of the public service, most of which being in accounting and the administrative divisions of the Unitary and Regional Commission.

The Civil Service Union (CSU) General Secretary Pizon Calmera has called for action against the government after the recent news shows that Commissioner Anderson has pledged to party members that she will deliver her campaign promise to begin streamlining the public service sector. After the CSU press release Pizon said this to S7NN crews; "It is clear that for months now the Anderson administration have been slowly but surely eroding public workers jobs and have been stripping these jobs legally from many positions. The government will not be allowed to throw under the bus a massive percentage of those employed in Damsmar, simply because they want to save money or make it easier for big corporations to set up and abuse private workers here. As such we will be beginning a week walkout in November and supported by The Communist Party, all CSU members will not to turn up to work in what is likely to be the second week of November. We understand our union members are worried about wages during this strike, but the Communist Party is going to be hosting hundreds of free dinners and kitchens throughout Damsmar to give a free dinner and breakfast to not only civil service members, but our homeless and poor throughout the week of striking. We are willing to negotiate with the central government and of course Anderson, if it means our jobs and our wages are secured from future chipping away. That is our only demand and it is a demand which must be respected."

The walk out in November is likely to have a huge effect on the daily running of the government, especially through the latter half of the week. Very little paperwork is expected to be processed, and the daily beauracratic element of government is going to be slowed to a creeping halt. Ordinary citizens are unlikely to see any change in their week however the lack of public service workers will mean up to three or four week delays on their applications for licenses, welfare enrolment or any other amounts of paperwork required under law to be sent in.

The Alt Liberal leader Christina Anderson said that the "reckless acts by the CSU has persuaded me more than ever that this needs to end", with the majority of the party supporting her new toughened regime. Party spokespersons also said they are committed to negotiation, but "only if the negotiations finale reaffirms to both parties involved the conclusion that the civil service is having a huge negative impact on our economy, and must be streamlined."

In other news, the "Englean Language and Culture Act" put forward by regional Commissioners in Caledonia, has failed miserably in parliament with only ninety eight members of unitary parliament voting for the implementation of the bill, which will sign into law the recognition that the German and Damsmaro-German language in Caledonia is of "cultural importance" to the state of Caledonia and their people, allocating more investment to regions within Caledonia in which German or Damsmaro-German is a first language, and allocating the appearance of the first German - English bilingual signs. The failure of the act was expected due to its demands for funding from central government, and the fact that in this time of tension and political clashes the elevation of one "non-native" culture/language over another "native" culture/language will set a bad precedent to the current efforts to revive the native languages like Mizko and Tashus, as well as reinforcing the Pizko language. The United Nationalists boycotted the vote as they believed it would be skewed.

Communist Party commits to four year planning / The option of un-fixing public service wages "will be on the table" according to Anderson

Jeuves D. Hueves in a meeting with Communist Party leaders, has introduced the new Four Year Plan to the general party and public. If the Communist Party got into power they would use the large civil service more effectively in "state planning" to meet "future needs and current needs" as well as "the goals of the four year plans." Jeuves said that the four year plan would not need to go through the bureaucratic hoops that any new long-term law does, instead it would use the power of the Unitary Commission to "reorganise often under worked public service accountants and record keepers" into managing and creating the four year plans.

The first four year plan according to the party would include a radical change in economic thesis for Damsmar. The Communists say that there is abundant natural resources all around the region, and they are "incredibly underutilised.". The first Four Year Plan would most likely be about "radically putting to work the unemployed with massive public works projects, openings of public heavy industry, and the collectivisation of the means of production." It all sounds very radical and its extreme nature has prompted out lash from numerous ex-Democrat MUPs and current incumbents in all parties all over the parliament.

The Alternative Liberal Commissioner Christina Anderson made a stark and clear statement today "We understand what people are going through. We can't just however put our hand up for the destruction of Damsmarian democracy, the destruction of our economy and the collapse of The Seven United as we know it, this is what the Communist party would do. The Communist Party will do what all other Communists did before them, and imprison their opponents and starve their people. We may be worse off than ten years ago and we may be in a ditch, but the Communists aren't giving us any ladders. They are just giving us shovels, and to them that is employment. I urge people not to consider the Communists as a radical alternative or solution, as that is how demagogues get into power."

She then went on to talk about the ongoing talks between the Unitary government and the Civil Service Union (CSU) "It is our imperative to avoid strikes and action which will negatively affect the daily running of government and country. Which is why having a productive meeting with the Union, we have decided that the option to un-fix the public service wages will be on the table. This effectively means that rather than pegging minimum civil service wages every five years, we will fix them in a six month basis according to the cost of living indexes, the value of Argent and the well-being of our workers."

Currently the minimum wage for the public service is $A 7.55 Argents per hour (NS$ 4.90) and the statutory Union-wide minimum wage for adults (21 yr+) is $A 7.15 (NS$ 4.64). The public service wages are pegged and have been since the creation of the Union, each five years the government must decide on how much to raise the universal public service minimum wage, with a minimum rise of 0.05 Argent. The Union-wide minimum wage only changes when a Unitary government decides it with the wage last being raised in 2016 from $A. 6.94 to $A 7.15.

Daredland braces to defend elections from foreign interference

Image

The Daredi Confederacy is putting special attention towards protecting the national elections. The interim government and the civil society are raising the alarm of foreign meddling in Daredland. There is reason to be alerted that this meddling may be reflected on the historic elections in the Daredi Confederacy and on the constitutional referendum. Both votes are extremely important and of historic significance to the nation which is why the government and activists say that there must be no chance of these votes being affected from outside.

The Daredi intelligence community and law enforcement will do their best to make sure that there will be no fraudulet foreign manipulation or propaganda that will overstep the norm. These structures will be on the lookout for any suspcious information campaigns or any possibility of direct unlawlful collusion between candidates and foreign sponsors. The Daredi Konfoderaleswehr will be taking care of cyber security of the Daredi Confederacy. If there is a risk that the Daredi voter might be manipulated through propaganda and informational warfare then there can also be a manual cybernetic manipulation of vote counting. In other words hackers may affect the number distribution in instances of electronic voting.

The interim government of the Daredi Confederacy says that the threat of interference in the elections is a realistic national security hazard that Daredland must prevent.

“We live in a time that is more dangerous than ever before. We knew that not everybody would be happy with the Flaming Revolution and that remains a reality. Not everybody wants to see Daredland have a healthy democracy because democracies are much more difficult to work with or to manipulate. There is always a chance that an allied nation today may not be an ally tomorrow. Because in a democracy you can always elect a government that will be radically different from yesterday’s government. There is no consistency. It is much easier to have a stable and irreplaceable puppet regime that is loyal and is not restrained by such things as the rule of law or the constitution. That is why there is still some hurt left over the removal of the previous government where select few have usurped power illegally.

Point is that we took our democracy back in the Flaming Revolution and we must make sure of the following: that our democracy remains and it serves us and only us. It is still fragile at its current state so we must protect it. We must protect it so that Daredland could secure our democracy for our future and the next generation. It will only grow and develop as time moves on so it is important to take care of it now. We must make sure that the independence we took back in the Flaming Revolution is not taken away. A puppet government has failed to develop here because we went out into the streets and stopped it. But our fight is not done. Even if we don’t have proxies in the government it does not mean that we cannot be manipulated from a distance. With today’s technology it has become much easier to enslave a nation by attacking its’ election and its’ referendums. I’m confident that Daredis as a free people would still resist against a new power grab but we must show that we will not accept new attacks on us. We must not allow our adversaries to think that they can try to take control of us time and time again and get away with it. We must take precautions and that is why I’m confident that the State Council will approve the increased measures of protecting the elections from foreign interference. These measures must be in effect in the current campaigning period and during the voting itself. Let us make sure that our increased security measures are the final message that we will not acknowledge stubborn meddling and demands related to our internal politics. Let us also make sure that these security measures help our citizens realize what an important time this is in Daredi history. We are between life and death with no exaggeration.

There might be skeptics out there that do not see the risk of foreign interference. But this is a transitional period in Daredland right now and the historic significance of our next elections is when we are most at risk of meddling. There is a great possibility that there will be attempts to sway us in a certain direction. But you don’t have to look just at theory or conspiracies. We have nations with ambitions that openly dare to make demands our way about how we should resolve our exclusively internal problems. They are not encouraging or voicing opinion but they are demanding. They have the nerve to aggressively meddle like this. A suitable word here would be ‘offensive’ in every sense of the word. We see successful instances and failed attempts at puppet building on our national territory. It’s starting out with pieces but we also see attempts at enslaving all of Daredland by supporting a proxy government in our capital. That is what we stopped in the Flaming Revolution and we must prevent it from happening again. We have voiced very legitimate protest to interference in our politics but it has apparently become a matter of principal for meddlers. Meddlers are only pushing more aggressively. Some are sending fleets to make us reconsider our position and give in. That is frankly disturbing and even disgusting. At the same time there is a bright side to everything. We must thank those that have made a strategic mistake of exposing their true faces so openly. We now have far less doubts on who truly wants to help Daredland and who just wants influence over us. Who is friend and who is foe. I am not going to go into specifics because they are related to the elections and I’m not campaigning. The Daredi voter needs to look at these facts and realize for themselves who we trust and where we will go. Just think carefully about your choice because Daredi history is in the making. The revolution is not over and we must continue withstanding our land.” – Luca Sveriger, Interim President of the State Council of the Daredi Confederacy

Band Bohemie Attempts A Satirical Cover Of “Ziamban” By Aurora

Image

“Ziamban”, a song from an Ucida-based band – Aurora, was released several months ago as a song inspired by 80’s soft rock sound. The song also has the alternative names of “Aethiopia” and “Sunafrica”, depending on the region. The song was hit, considering the current era in the Sunrisian musical scene, where it is popular to recycle vintage or more classical sounds from past eras and adapt them into modern songs. That explains the rise of synthwave and retrowave as a mainstream music genre, rather than an underground genre online or in the underground electronic scene. Nevertheless, synthwave and retrowave focuses more on electronic music, whereas “Ziamban” is a song that sounds like classic 80’s soft rock, comprised of instrumental sound with practically no digital elements. That is where the experimental nature of Aurora comes from and it shines fully in “Ziamban.” The band had a second song – “Keep it up”, which was released back-to-back with “Ziamban.” “Keep it up” was a hit as well, although it was behind “Ziamban” in popularity. Like “Ziamban”, “Keep it up” is a song also based on 80’s soft rock and it was not simply a coincidence or isolated experimentation with both songs, since Aurora confirmed that both songs are singles to an upcoming album, which they say will be entirely made up of songs that will all be a call-back to the 80’s rock genre.

The reason why “Ziamban” by Aurora is being talked about again, is that the song is receiving a “second life”, since a lot of Sunrisian musicians have taken on the challenge of creating their own versions of “Ziamban.” This coincidental attempt by a lot of artists to cover, remake or even remix an appreciated song, has quickly set off a trend among the musical artist community. Many musicians in a variety of genres, some not even close to what the original “Ziamban” is, have decided to release a cover or their own version. The publicists of many artists have said that they are currently working on their version of the song, in addition to their own future singles. Although there is no race or a contest, some artists and bands have humorously taken an approach of a sport and have been trying to rush their covers out. The very first artists/band to advance ahead of everybody, has been Bohemie from Lucera. The band released a cover and an accommodating music video, covering the song in a more traditional rock sound, more accustomed with some sounds in the current millennia and more to their own sound. The notable difference has been digital alterations of the vocals, but Bohemie attempted not to move away too far from the original.

Álán Yânóvár Cóvĕná (Lead vocalist of Bohemie): I don’t think anybody cares about the theme of romance in the song. In fact, I think Aurora has chosen to make a sort of satire of the music in that area, by choosing lyrics that represented the quintessential lyrics of a lot of 80’s songs, even songs of today. The same could be said about “Keep it up.” The true magic of “Ziamban” is in the soothing and majestic sound, as well as the vocal talent of Aurora. We might not match the beauty of the original, since we did take a “digital approach” with our cover, but at least we will know that we have put our own take out there. We wanted to do it since the day it was released.

Interviewer:Would you be open to doing more than one cover of “Ziamban” or other songs from Aurora?

Álán Yânóvár Cóvĕná (Lead vocalist of Bohemie):We might do “Keep it up” as the natural progression and the next logical choice. Of course, we also have to focus on our own original songs in-between. As for “Ziamban” in particular, you know, that’d actually be a great idea. We would be ready to do a hundreds of cover, until we get it just right, do it justice and get the blessing of Aurora themselves.

Some TV networks are already proposing the idea of holding a TV special in a form of a contest/concert, where Aurora members would judge all the versions of their song presented on stage, as a jury and pick the best one themselves. Proposed additions to this format have also included audience voting, which would combine the scores with that of Aurora members in the jury or even contrast the scores of the audience and the band. There is also a proposal of opening the contest not just for professional artists competing with their covers or versions of “Ziamban”, but also having random contenders partake.

FREE VESVAI BROADCASTING

New Vesvai Debates Sovereignty

Since New Vesvai’s Independent Parliament passed the New Vesvai Independence Referendum Decree the issue of sovereignty has become a mainstream topic in New Vesvai. Prime Minister Kai Placore and the AIT coalition have encouraged for an active public discussion on the sovereignty topic to be encouraged in New Vesvai. Proponents and opponents of New Vesvai separating from the Dominion of Vesvai have created public debate and public discourse. Proponents and opponents are among politicians and civil activists. There is also a smaller neutralist camp but its indecisiveness has not made the camp as prominent and popular.

PM Kai Placore himself says that he is in that very same neutralist camp and will respect whichever position the majority of the public favors. A lot of MPs from the AIT coalition claim to be neutralist too. So far there are no political groups or social movements associated with pro, anti or neutral camps in the sovereignty issue. Even the hardcore anti-VHU nationalists are divided up. Some believe in the greater good for all of Vesvai that would be brought by the sovereignty and prosperity of New Vesvai. They uphold the rhetoric that New Vesvai is a beacon of hope for all of Vesvai in the future and that the success for New Vesvai will be a success for all of Vesvai. Some have the more cynical approach that all of the island is lost except for the quarter of the territory controlled by New Vesvai. That is why New Vesvai should cut itself off before it’s no longer capable to. Those neutral or opposing sovereignty say that New Vesvai should exist but separation would equal betrayal of the rest of Vesvai that they want to be equally free. Others say that the status quo seems to work for now because New Vesvai still has enough self-governance that was won before. The neutralist camp has no specific opinion but it has not backed out of the dialogue or acting withdrawn. A lot of the neutralists are listening to pro and anti sovereignty camps to see which side can persuade them with arguments. The pro camp insists that New Vesvai can only prosper and achieve future common good for all Vesvai if it takes the difficult decision of separating from Vesvai. The pro camp says that achievements by sovereign New Vesvai will have a positive effect on the entire nation of Vesvai and bring positive changes along with eventual reunification into a newer and better Vesvai.

PM Kai Placore said at the parliament that this public debate also acts as a campaign informing the public on the issue of sovereignty and why it should or should not happen. Being educated on this issue is important for New Vesvai’s inhabitants in case New Vesvai employs the New Vesvai Independence Referendum Decree and votes on sovereignty.

Writer Yannick Baumgartner appointed Interim State Minister of Reintegration and Reconciliation for peaceful management of Hasperan and Weniges situations

Image

The State Council of the Daredi Confederacy has filled the empty cabinet position of the State Minister of Reintegration and Reconciliation of the Daredi Confederacy. The State Council appointed another political outsider by choosing a civil activist who represents a political movement rather than a political party. This is in traditional nature of the interim Government of Unity and Reasoning which is led in majority by civil and political movements instead of parties. Daredi writer Yannick Baumgartner was approved by the State Council as the Interim State Minister of Reintegration and Reconciliation of Daredland after a hearing. This is his first office he now holds as a freshly baked politician.

Yannick Baumgartner is a writer, playwright and new civil activist who became associated with the Citizens Against Brutality (CAB) political and civil movement after the Flaming Revolution. A politician is a new title that Baumgartner has claimed. Citizens Against Brutality (CAB) have supported Baumgartner’s bid for Interim State Minister of Reintegration and Reconciliation. People's Power (PP) and Civic Duty (CD) are also two political movements who have their members in the Daredi interim cabinet. They expressed solidarity with a fellow civil activist from a civil movement of Citizens Against Brutality (CAB) and supported Baumgartner’s bid. Interim President of the State Council of Daredland Luca Sveriger being a member of People's Power (PP) has personally supported Baumgartner’s bid. After hearings at the State Council Yannick Baumgartner was approved as the Interim State Minister of Reintegration and Reconciliation of the Daredi Confederacy.

New Interim State Minister of Reintegration and Reconciliation Yannick Baumgartner has made a career as a writer and representative of the art community and intellectuals of Daredland. He has always been outside of politics but has been an outspoken and influential citizen. Baumgartner’s original intention was to emigrate from Daredland to Edereon and he said in an interview that his decision was final and definite. His mind changed and he stayed in Daredland when the Flaming Revolution began. He said that it gave him a lot of personal inspiration with a feeling of liveliness. Baumgartner stood shoulder to shoulder with thousands of other protesters on the streets of Freihat in the early days of the Flaming Revolution. On the eve of an influential general strike Baumgartner gave a speech at the microphone addressing the protesting crowd and former government officials when they were in power. After the Flaming Revolution Baumgartner has associated himself with Citizens Against Brutality (CAB) political and civil movement. CAB together with People's Power (PP) and Civic Duty (CD) have been influental movements in the revolution.

Interim President of the State Council of Daredland Luca Sveriger said that the current service of Yannick Baumgartner as Interim State Minister of Reintegration and Reconciliation is only temporary. Same goes for the service of Luca Sveriger herself as the Interim President of the State Council and for the entire interim Government of Unity and Reasoning. New officials would fill in all the government seats in the Chancellery, the Cabinet, the State Council, the State Constitutional Court and regional governments after elections. The office of State Minister of Reintegration and Reconciliation has been vacant since the Flaming Revolution. The previous and only holder of the position was Adnet Baumgartner was appointed into office since the State Ministry of Reintegration and Reconciliation was first created. Adnet Baumgartner is a member of Party for Central Approach (PCA) and has no family relation to Yannick Baumgartner though both have the same last name. Adnet Baumgartner resigned as State Minister of Reintegration and Reconciliation along with the rest of the deposed government in the Flaming Revolution. The interim Government of Unity and Reasoning only filled in key leadership positions with temporary officials. The office of the State Minister of Reintegration and Reconciliation was left empty because good candidates were not found and the interim government did not focus on the Hasperan and Weniges separatist conflicts too much. They thought the situation was under the control. The plan was to fill the empty seat of the State Minister of Reintegration and Reconciliation after the elections are held and the elected new government votes in the position holder. But the situation has changed since. Even if the elections are around the corner there is a desperate need to have somebody look over the separatist problem.

“We foolishly did not see office of the State Minister of Reintegration and Reconciliation as a vital one. We did not appoint a suitable candidate on time so we thought that we would just get the new State Minister after the elections. The separatist crises seemed to be under control at that time. But it was our mistake. We needed desperately needed to fill the seat of the State Minister of Reintegration and Reconciliation as soon as possible. Even if the elections are around the corner we clearly need somebody managing the issue. We have seen foreign interventionists trying to shake things up and unfreeze our unsolved but managed conflicts. There are attempts to put pressure on us, manipulate and blackmail us, extend influence and prevent Daredland from getting away. Our separatist territories are being used against us for manipulation. This has truly become a national security question so it was important to fill in the office of the State Minister of Reintegration and Reconciliation. We needed a diplomatic manager for our domestic affair which puts the existence of our nation at stake. Because we had no official formally handling the problem it left room for intervention into our domestic problem and using it to manipulate us. Now that we have somebody in this office for a time we hope that we will get our home back in order. We will once again have a manager for a diplomatic solution and regulation of our troubles. This decreases the risk of Hasperan and Weniges crises being used against us and especially in this historic time for Daredland.” – Luca Sveriger, Interim President of the State Council of the Daredi Confederacy

Eubatu Daily

Three extremely important votes took place today in the Council of Diplomacy and the Eubatian Technocratic Council. These two vital councils voted on Resolutions 484, 485 and 486. All three were resolutions written by The Kingsland Center of Policy the political council which governs the state of Kingsland and nearly half of Eubatu's population. These resolutions are so important, because they are amendments to the Eubatian Consitution. Both the councils passed all three resolutions with a 11-9, 17-3 and 13-7 split in the Eubatian Technocratic Council and a 7-5, 8-4 and 11-1 split in the Council of Diplomacy. The Council Leader did not need to submit a deciding vote in the Technocratic Council. With the passing of these resolutions in both councils, the amendments will be read, discussed and voted on by a Council of Councils. For those unaware, a Council of Councils brings together all 121 representatives of the Eubatian government at federal and state level to hold a complete vote in order to enter an amendment into the constitution. A vote must have a 2/3 majority meaning 81 people must vote in favour of the amendment in order for it to pass. The elected leader of the Technocratic Council; in this case Governess Mary Bentualli, is the final vote.

Resolution 484 is a proposed amendment 39 to the Eubatian constitution. The most controversial of the three resolutions, Resolution 484 states that prior to a person submitting a vote in all elections, the voter must pass a quiz on the issues presented in the election cycle in order to ensure that voters are aware of the statistics and facts of the issues before voting in representatives. If this resolution were to pass, it would mean that in order to vote for any future elections, a voter would require to pass a 5-10 minute quiz with a mark of 67% in order to have their ballot accepted. This is the most controversial of the proposed resolutions, as it may lower the voter turnout as well as voting rate of the populous. There is also the effect that this will slow down voting procedure and require increased capacity in places of voting to allow for test taking.

Resolution 485 is a proposed amendment 40 to the Eubatian constitution. This resolution will increase the voting range from 18 to 55, to 18 to 60 years of age. This is to be done to reflect the increasing average life expectancy. In Eubatu, there is a minimum as well as maximum age for voting populous. This is due to the need to keep young voters engaged in the election process as well as ensure that new ideas and opinions are brought to the forefront of the country. The average life expectancy in 1970, when the amendment 27 was passed creating the maximum age range (of 55 years) was done when the average life expectancy of a Eubatian was 56.1 for males and 57.6 for females. Since then, the Eubatian life expectancy has increased to 63.61 for males and 65.24 for females. This range change would put 54% of the population within voting age. With an average voter turnout of 93.1% this means that the average voter turnout among the entire population is 50.27% or just over half the population electing the officials of the country.

Resolution 486 is a proposed amendment 41 to the Eubatian constitution. This resolution, titled 'voting rights protection from taxes' will eliminate the voting tax required to vote. In past elections, a voting tax was required in order to hand in a ballot. This tax was used to pay for a portion of the election and had been set at one third of one hour of the minimum wage. Meaning that in the 2016 state elections, with a minimum wage of 2.25 $R, the voting tax was set at 0.75 $R or 1.45 NSD. If this resolution passes, all voting taxes for all levels of government will be eliminated. This resolution was written following the gathering of voting data between 1960 and 2000, which showed that the majority of the non-voting populous to be among the poorest in the country.

The Council of Councils is set to vote and ratify on the three amendment resolutions on October 14th and October 17 respectively.

SIEGE IN ICHORIA

The conflict in the Imperium colony Ichoria heats up between the Imperium/Stratocracy against insurrectionist forces as the next step of the campaign continues. Ground forces moved into start pushing into the rebel held city of Gal. This comes after days of a constant aerial bombardment. Several administrative buildings have been reduced to rubble. Rumors still continue about the bombing of religious and medical building inside the city, although these have been difficult to confirm since the Imperium struck communications towers with cruise missiles strikes days ago in preparation for the assault and the last attempts to leave the city were met with the still blurry attack on a supposedly rebel convoy.

The event in mentioning was when three retrofitted tour buses attempted to leave the city, only to be violently and totally destroy with missiles and cannon fire from Imperium ground attack craft. The scene and situation has been uncommented as of yet from the Imperium.

It is hard to forget the familiarity of this situation, the last city of Recteria(then a rebel held capitol) was sacked by the Imperium. At the time the closest thing to a unified front for opposition was bombed heavily by Imperium forces. After forces stormed the city in a Fallujah style house to house fighting environment the level of destruction became evident. The death toll from that siege continues to rise as bodies are dug out every passing day, entire residential blocks leveled by carpet bombing and buildings gassed to flush out rebel sharpshooters. The policing of the city has done little to rebuild as the Imperium has focused on maintaining order until the residue of insurrectionists are uprooted.

Elsewhere in Ichoria the battle continues to wage, mostly in the form of skirmishes with hit and run tactics on the side of the rebels. There are continued reports of breakdown and worsening infighting between rebel groups. However the continued employment of pro-Imperium militias and disarmament of surrendering groups has been met with heavy success. Perhaps peace will soon come to certain areas of Ichoria.

HYPERSONIC, WASTE, OR FUTURE?

It's no secret that the advent of cruise missiles has added a new strategic depth to peer on peer warfare in the world. As the technology behind them grows, so does the cost and the question is often asked is newer better enough for the bigger cost? This perhaps is a question that may now be answered with the coming of Hypersonic cruise missiles. Hypersonic is defined as speeds of Mach 5.5 or above, reaching speeds once only reserved for Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles, now achieved on smaller platforms thanks to advancements in scram/ramjet design. But that makes a Hypersonic Missile so deadly? The small frame and maneuverability of a cruise missile combined with the speed of a ICBM makes them almost impossible to shoot down by any modern weapon system. This guarantees a extremely high hit rate on a system that often suffers from easy interdiction from CIWS. Their speed also adds a large amount of penetration and kinetic impact capability. This amazing impact and all but guaranteed to hit nature makes them great weapons for anti-naval combat or striking shore targets. Issues still pursue as in difficulty building the technology needed to develop them. Few nations have the capability to produce, let alone in a mass scale these weapons. But their high speed makes payloads on their platforms more difficult to produce compared to cruise missiles of lower speed.

However the Imperium believes these weapons may be the future of peer on peer warfare. Their Javelin Hypersonic Cruise missile one of the first operational, produced and now on the market.

The advance of the idea concept of Hypersonic munitions poses moral and strategic questions for the future, and fears of a new arms race in some thinkers; some international groups causing for a arms limitation treaty on their development and employment. However these fears were once again echoed after the Illacertus(military of the Imperium/Stratocracy) launched two Javelin missiles from Venator-class arsenal ships off the coast of southern Ichoria, striking what was suspected to be a chemical weapons development depot. How terrorist forces came into possession of advanced chemical agents is still unknown at this time, as the facility is still buried deep within territory ripe with insurrectionists.

Imperium military officials were not available for comment on these developments.

AMBUSH, SOLDIER TO RECEIVE HIGHEST HONOR

Sixteen lie dead in a ambush in eastern Ichoria, as the UPA(Unified People's Army) attacked a humanitarian convoy bound for a nearby village suffering from lack of medical and food supplies.

As many as four dozen fighters detonated a two thousand pound IED in the center of the convoy. Turning it's core into a bloody scenery of twisted metal. What followed from reports was a hail of rocket and small arms fire that assaulted the convoys security team from two sides. Almost immediately air support was scrambled but it would take precious minutes to arrive as the nearest airfield was Lockhart Airbase.

It was then that E-4/Deacon Omarius(posthumously), hailing from the capital of Abatæl earned himself the highest honor decoration of the Illacertus (Stratocracy Armed Forces), the coveted and Cross of Iron. Dn. Omarius’ moment came when his convoy came under fire, his vehicle being immobilized by rocket fire from insurgents.

Already injured from shrapnel, the bruised and battered Omarius continued to return fire against insurgent forces, also pulling injured squadmates behind cover. Even after air support arrived, Omarius continued to embody the virtues of the Illacertus, moving forward closer to the enemy insurgents to direct accurate and deadly fire for supporting aircraft. Even when insurgent forces continued to push towards the convoy, Omarius stayed fixed in place to ensure that air units had direction for accurate fire. Already having suffered shrapnel wounds, and shots to the collarbone, left leg and rib cage Omarius retained enough strength to subdue and eliminate a fighter in hand to hand with his trusty Gladius.

After reinforcements arrived to the scene Omarius’ body was found near death, surrounded by a dozen or so dead fighters. He alongside other wounded were medically evacuated, unfortunately Omarius died from blood loss before he could be properly evacuated. Commanding Legatus Averius had this to say on Omarius’ actions.

“Deacon Omarius valiant actions represents what we all strive to embody. Virtue. The virtues we few hold so dear to our hearts. Honor to one's ideals, devotions to one's people, and the sacrifice to give everything for the ones beside you. Omarius represents the best in all of us, what each soldier strives to be. He may not have been a exemplary soldier, but he was a soldier who had exemplary actions. For what he did, he will never be forgotten and he will be etched into the canvas of time for all of eternity. May your blade be steady, your aim true and your shield strong. Godspeed.”

A state-level funeral with international observers is set to happen in the near future.

RETURN TO LUNA?

The day was humid, clear sky's and adequate temperature. Perfect for the screeching call of rocket engines as the Imperium’s latest rocket soared. The latest space-born launched in long series of space missions that show no signs of stopping. Cargos have ranged from satellites, rovers, to manned orbitals and missions. This current cargo seems a continuous push towards a return to our moon.

Decades ago astronauts belonging to the Stratocracy planted a banner flag embroiled marked with the Stratocracy Delta on the lunar surface. The first men to ever step foot on the celestial body. It signified the next step in human evolution, the capability of Imperium missile technology, but most importantly it showed something else. The Stratocracy for the next thousand years, marking their existence forever in the world, and now in space. The most recent launch contained it's own pair of astronauts who landed on the Lunar surface near the sea of tranquility.

Astronauts Marceus, and Cyrus conducted a short moonwalk on the surface to install advanced sensor systems, and drone equipment while collecting lunar samples before returning. A portion of these samples are expected to be sent to various heads of states and foreign science agencies in order to further spread the pursuit of lunar science among nations. This launch of the Lunae-17 seems to be just another in a long chain of space-based projects and use of re-usable vehicles.

Behind The Scenes Footage Leaks From The Set Of “Perkele Movie”, Including The Filming Of An Entire Scene

Image

Ievan Polkka” has been growing in popularity online and in pop culture recently as a de facto theme song for the upcoming – “Perkele Movie”, a parody film from Psychedelia Studios (PS). The current viral rendition of the popular song will be featured on – “Perkele Move (Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture)” album, among other original songs created by separate artists for the film’s soundtrack. However, that is not the only topic on the news related to the “Perkele Movie.”

The first trailer for the film is yet to come out, since the movie is still undergoing early stages of principal photography overseas. Nevertheless, footage from the set has already leaked online, giving a glimpse into what the “Perkele Movie” might approximately look like, though obviously without the after-effects. Moreover, it’s not just filming from the distance and out of the film crew’s sight, but an up-close video recording of the whole scene. It is possible that this might have been one of the crew members filming the scene for personal use or maybe even for unconventional social media promotion, although the filmmakers of Psychedelia Studios are usually liberal in allowing extra-glimpses into production. The low-quality footage shows an apparent filming of a scene, with foreign Finnic actors, where a man resists arrest by local police, resulting in an unusually fascinating brawl. The scene is out of context, yet it does not seem like much is left up to interpretation. Although the surfacing of this footage is being referred to as a leak, it looks more like intentional promotion.

“Perkele Movie” is a parody move centered around a satirical representation of Finnic culture, with Finnic setting, Finnic characters, themes and stereotypes. The specific plot has not yet been revealed, but given the formal parody genre, it could be pretty much about anything. “Perkele Movie” is intended to be the first installment in a planned anthology of parody movies. The filmmakers behind “Perkele Movie” already state that in case of its’ success, they are prepared to pitch a potential second installment – “Kawaii Movie.” Executives of Psychedelia Studios confirm that there are plans for an anthology, but no several-picture deal is yet in place with the creators of “Perkele Movie” for future installments. According to studio executives and filmmakers themselves, the further progression will depend on the reception and box office performance of “Perkele Movie.”

However, “Perkele Movie” has generated some controversy, despite a light-hearted nature of the project. Some social groups in Sunrisia have questioned the political correctness of the movie and whether it will not end up being a mockery and primitive sneering of Finnic culture, reinforcing negative stereotypes and xenophobic thinking. These groups are not enthusiastic about what they view as an “uninspired” idea that is “Perkele Movie”, not to mention their attitude towards the prospects of this becoming an entire parody movie anthology franchise. The potential sequel – “Kawaii Movie” has generated more “dissatisfaction” and “un-amusement.”

Screenwriters, producers and director of “Perkele Movie” insist that they have upmost respect for Finnic culture, stating that the movie will instead be celebrating the culture. In fact, they say that despite a supposed prejudiced exterior, “Perkele Movie” and the franchise it might inspire, will be meant to make fun of cultural stereotypes and promote the message of celebrating the variety of cultures in Sunalaya. Respected film critics say that reviews and box office reception will be the best judge to “Perkele Movie”, reflecting society’s attitudes in their choice to either support or boycott the motion picture when it comes out. Some online critics have gone further and actually called “Perkele Movie” a “genius project”, since many view it as a hidden social experiment that tests society’s hypocrisy and attitudes towards cultural prejudice, tolerance, etc.

Daredi voters finally go to the polls for elections and a constitutional referendum

Image
Image

After Daredi parties, coalitions and independents had wrapped up their campaigns the time has now come for what they’ve been competing for. Daredi voters have headed out to the polls to cast their votes in the national elections and on the constitutional referendum. The citizens of the Daredi Confederacy will be making a number of important votes which makes this the biggest and most important election in recent national history. This is indeed recognized as a historic election for Daredland. That is why so much preparation has been done to make sure that the vote goes through without disruptions of any kind. That includes disruptions from the inside and outside of the nation. Daredi voters will be voting in the legislative election to elect the next legislature, the regional elections to choose the new governments of autonomous territories of the Confederacy, local elections for municipal authorities and finally the constitutional referendum. These votes are happening simultaneously.

The campaigning was especially tough for all the political forces running. Not only did the parties, coalitions and independents have to promote for their own side to get elected but they also had to promote to either vote ‘yes’ or ‘no’ in the constitutional referendum. After the legislative election the next government in Freihat will be responsible for realizing the new constitution if it’s approved in the referendum. There is a lot at stake with local and regional elections even if they have been looked at as being secondary to the legislative election and the constitutional referendum. The elections for regional and municipal governments will have a lot of effect on unity and solidarity among the Confederacy’s subjects at the time of challenge to national unity.

The constitutional referendum is asking for citizens to approve or reject the draft of what has been formally named the Constitution of the Daredi Confederation. In case of its approval the nation would transform from the Daredi Confederacy into the Daredi Confederation. The difference would not only be in the name. The new constitution would greatly reform the nation. The current State Council is a unicameral chamber but the new constitution would break it up into upper and lower houses. That would be something entirely new for Daredland because the nation has always had unicameral legislature. The new constitution also includes corrections to the flawed Daredi order of precedence and correction to proper power distribution in Daredland. The new improvements are aimed at helping to avoid usurpation of power like the one that led to the Flaming Revolution. The new constitution also has membership in MDAA and SOWEFTA cemented as foreign policy priorities for Daredland. These are but a few stand-out aspects of the new constitution. Citizens have been very enthusiastic about the topic of preventing new power usurpation. Many Daredis have shown through the polls that there needs to be measures taken and a new constitution has been seen as a proper option by many citizens. But there are also those that do not see a new constitution as necessary and instead favor amendments to the existing constitution. The topic still has a lot of Daredis split but turnout projections on the referendum are high and expected because of how important the issue has become after the Flaming Revolution.

Voting in the national elections and the constitutional
referendum begins after the conclusion of campaigning.

During the ongoing voting there have not been any disturbances so far. There have been protesters calling to reject the Germanic Union coalition in the election. The coalition as a whole and its individual parties have been coming under fire intensely. The Weniges Representation Front (WRF) is still being protested against as a terrorist wing of the Weniges militants in the occupied territories Weniges Reich. The Legion of Germanic Daredland (LGD) is coming under fire as the usurpator party that had to be deposed in the Flaming Revolution for its power grab. The GU coalition as a whole has been coming under fire for pan-Germanic views and allegedly being pro-Englean. Anti-GU protesters demanded for the GU coalition to either exclude WRF, LGD, both or dissolve altogether. These protests even today have caused confrontations on the street with controversial supporters of GU but the police stopped the violence. Some citizens said that it was illegal to protest against one of the running parties, coalitions. Law enforcement said that the freedom of speech does not allow for anti-GU agitators to be arrested as long as they do not instigate public safety problems. Provocations have happened on both sides when GU supporters tried attacking politicians from rival Pro-Liberty Front of a Western Corentian Daredland (PLFWCD) coalition on the street. Law enforcement again did not allow for incidents to turn into escalation.

The elections are happening all over the nation except for the territories under the control of the Hasperan Republic and the Weniges Reich. The State Council of the Daredi Confederacy has given those territories the status of ‘occupied territories.’ Under this label they are treaty as lands temporarily outside national jurisdiction which does not allow for elections to happen there. Daredland’s interim Government of Unity and Reasoning has reached out to Hasperan and Weniges separatist leaderships to allow elections in those territories under joint monitoring. The Hasperan leadership turned down the request by insisting that the Hasperan Republic is a separate nation and that the elections are Daredland’s business. The Weniges leadership could not reject the request like the Hasperan leadership did because the Weniges Representation Front (WRF) is participating in the elections within the GU coalition. But the electoral commission and Daredi observers have been prohibited from being involved in setting up and monitoring the electoral process in the Weniges territory. The Weniges leadership claims control over everything happening in the territory of the Weniges Reich and said that it would monitor elections on its own. Some of the more radical Daredi politicians were angered and said that the Weniges leadership would either falsify the numbers or hold no elections at all because the militants rule the Weniges Reich under a dictatorship. But the Daredi interim government chose to concede and not escalate a new confrontation with the Weniges secessionist leadership during the electoral process.

On the evening prior to the voting day Interim President of the State Council of the Daredi Confederacy Luca Sveriger issued a warning. She said that any foreign nations attempting to meddle in these elections would not stay hidden from the Daredi intelligence community for long. In case interference is discovered Daredland would be ready to impose sanctions and even break off diplomatic relations. Sveriger said that all precautions were taken to avoid outside interference in the historic election but the Interim President of the State Council still felt like last-minute warning was appropriate. She hopes it would not come to this.

New Historical Settlement Discovered During Construction Dig

In the Toa te Awa District of the Imperial City of Rhode, a $22 million NSD theater's construction has been put on hold indefinitely thanks to an archaeological find discovered by digging crews. An ancient settlement was discovered, dating back to circa. 1100 CE. While this alone does not constitute a major find, as the Laaban tribe had inhabited the area since circa 500 BCE, it is extremely interesting as it does not include native Rhodevan artifacts, but those from ancient Rukonia.

North Rukonian vikings had long been thought to have sailed and settled in Rhodevus sometime between 800 and 1200 CE in a settlement known as Haulvonalan. This settlement might constitute enough evidence to declare Haulvonalan as the first Ventismarian settlement in pre-national Rhodevus. A multitude of artifacts have been discovered including weapons, stone tools and most importantly, a standing stone. The Imperial City University will be working alongside the University of North Rukonia to decipher the runes and transcriptions on the standing stone to get a more clear understanding of the timeline of Haulvonalan.

As for the theater, the provincial government will be compensating the construction company and the theater will be rezoned to allow for the archaeological dig to continue.

Constitutional referendum results in, 59.7% vote in favor of adopting the new constitution

Image

The results of the constitutional referendum are in after the counting of votes has been done. The referendum has formally passed. 59.7% of registered voters chose to adopt the new constitution. 40.3% have voted against the idea while there were no neutral votes. The referendum only contained a ‘Yes’ and a ‘No’ option so only ruined ballots, blank votes or not showing up for the vote can be looked at as neutral position. But the majority of Daredis have not stayed indifferent towards the vote and showed their citizen position. The registered turnout for the referendum has been 76.1% which allows for the vote to be considered as legit. The text of the question put to voters was: ‘Do You accept the draft Constitution of the Daredi Confederation?’. The next government will have to act on the will shown in this referendum. The vote was not a consultative one so the next government will be obligated to adopt a new constitution.

The new constitution carries the formal name of the Constitution of the Daredi Confederation. It would reform the government structure. The State Chancellery would be replaced by the Confederal Cabinet which would be comprised of Confederal Ministers. The Confederal Cabinet would be let by a President. The Confederal Chancellor would be a separate position from the Confederal Cabinet but would work together with it. The legislature of Daredland is presently only the State Council but under a new constitution it would be broken in two. It would no longer be a unicameral chamber and would become bicameral with a lower house and an upper house. The upper house would be the Council of States and the lower house would be the National Council. The present State Council is headed only by one President of the State Council and one Vice President of the State Council. In the current interim Government of Unity and Reasoning the Interim President of the State Council is Luca Sveriger and the Interim Vice President of the State Council is Caifi Habsburg respectively. Under the New Constitution the upper and lower houses would still have one president but two vice presidents each. The National Council and the Council of States would each have the First Vice President and Second Vice President. Combined the upper and lower house would form the united Confederal Assembly.

Changes to the order of precedence are also included in the New Constitution. This is meant to help escape cheating the system and acquiring power in the same way that the Legion of Germanic Daredland (LGD) did. That succession blatantly showed the flaws of the system because LGD was a minority party that managed to acquire top positions in the government. The New Constitution would also clearly show powers and limitations of the position of the Confederal Chancellor whereas the Chancellor position was greatly abused by some who have served in it. There are also changes to how judges of the highest courts would be selected. On foreign policy the New Constitution famously includes Western Corentian integration as priority through accession of Daredland to MDAA and SOWEFTA. The Germanic Union (GU) coalition said that in the case of its election victory and success of the referendum it would act depending on the referendum vote. If the referendum passes GU would adopt the New Constitution but remove the Western Corentian integration clause from it. GU would instead replace it with integration into the Englean Imperial Commonwealth and even more independence to Daredi regions from central authority. GU says it backs even more independence for the regions that the New Constitution proposes with its reforms. The GU coalition has not voiced plans on how it would get citizens approval if the voters approved the current draft without their planned changes. GU coalition campaigners said that the question would be dealt with after the elections.

Experts say that there were expectations for an even larger turnout than 76.1%. The Flaming Revolution was largely focused on making sure that no future government usurpation and power grabs happen. So the citizens were apparently passionate on solving this problem as much as they were passionate during the revolution. At the same time the number is recognized as realistically large. Also taken into account must be the fact that this is still a period of confusion and indecisiveness for many Daredis. Not a lot of citizens may have been sure on what to choose. It is still left to be found out on whether this trend will be seen in the legislative, local and regional elections and what the turnout will be like there. Those votes are wrapping up one by one. The votes are yet to be counted and results revealed.

Band Spectre Releases New Single to Promote their New Album “Geist;” Band Franz Josef Releases New Single

Kammersdorf, Kingdom of Prussia, Englean Kaiserreich – Two Englean bands have released new singles this week to promote their upcoming albums, taking the radiowaves by storm with “fresh takes” on their musical genres. First came the fast-paced song “Red Hammer” by the band Spectre. This band hails from the Northwest, from the Kingdom of Schwarzburg. They are a relatively new group, only forming in 2016. Despite their recent formation, they have been able to head up the ranks through their composition of what has been described as “new metal” – mixing the popular mainstream musical formats from elsewhere in the world and combining it with Northwestern Englean metal. This album will be their first released nationally, with their previous albums only consisting of covers of classic songs made into their “new metal” style. The song itself has an interesting assortment of lyrics, with each listener being able to make their own unique interpretation of them. Because of this, many groups have spoken against the song for its inclusion of one specific line: “Are you ready to swear right here, right now, before the Devil?” As the Kaiserreich is predominately a Christian nation, this is understandable why many would speak out against this. However, there have been other groups outside of the fans that have supported the song. For instance, the mayor of Heidelsberg, near the border with Smoya in Schwarzburg, has openly supported the song because “[the song] speaks in an anti-communist nature, depicting the clandestine operations that members of the communist circles must conduct – swearing loyalty to the Devil…” Whether the song is anti-communist or not, it has quickly reached #1 in the Imperial 100 charts and is expected to remain there until the album releases on October 22.

On an opposite note, the Waldecker band Franz Josef has released their own single – “Hoch Mich.” Unlike Spectre, this band focuses primarily on electronica music and has been well-known since 2001. The album in which “Hoch Mich” promotes, “Hoch wie nie” (High Like Never Before), has been described by lead singer Mikel Häferson as “calm electronica” and to be for those “…looking for a tune that’s neither too heavy or too soft – something for after a hard day.” The song reached #1 yesterday on Hot 25, and is expected to remain there until the release of the song next Wednesday.

Frasian Delegation Proposes New Independence Bill in the Reichstag; Rekindles Northern and Southern Resentments

Image
The Reichstagsgebäude

Krefeld, Kingdom of Frasia, Englean Kaiserreich – Several months after the events that lead to Frasian Governor Karl Leutens and former Landwehr general Leberecht von Ketenhausen to be arrested for treason, Frasian delegates within the Reichstag have brought about a controversial proposal. RA ( Reichstagsabgeordneter) Stefan Beuter and RA Haaken Kortzfeld submitted Imperial Proposal 15-2018(B) and Proposal 16-2018(B), which entails the independence of the Kingdom of Frasia from the Kaiserreich, or Frasia becoming an autonomous republic within the Kaiserreich separate from Imperial authority. This proposals is another attempt by Frasia to gain independence from the Kaiserreich, which has been attempted multiple times in the existence of the state. Many within the Reichstag have denounced the proposals, stating that they appear too soon after the treason committed by Leutens and von Kentenhausen. However, many within the Southern Kaiserreich – primarily in Frasia and Frasia-Stockhausen – have praised the proposals. Unfortunately, these proposals have brought about the resentments between the Northern Engleans and the Southern Englean states which historically consist of different cultures from that of the Englean states in the north.

The Kingdom of Frasia has a long history, spanning back to the early centuries of the Kaiserreich. In the early Holy Empire of the Angel Mountains (Heiliges Engleanisches Reich, Renamed the Engleanisches Kaiserreich in 1315), the empire consisted of multiple cultures and peoples; the Engleans, the Sangerians, and the Fresians. The Engleans resided in the center of the empire, while the Sangerians were in the north, and the Fresians resided in the south. By 1300 only the Engleans and the Fresians remained, with the Engleans being the majority and causing the empire to be renamed. From this time forward, the Fresisans represented the majority of the peasant population in the Kaiserreich. Upon the exodus to Corentia, the Kaiserreich continued in a similar fashion – Engleans in the north, Fresians in the south, and Steinlanders (now known as the Daredis) in the west. The state of Frasia was loosely defined at first, with it being the only state in the empire which was not a formal monarchy other than Neu-Steinland. In the 18th and 19th century, Frasia became a “peasant state” with the majority of the population being farmers and other serf labourers. The difference in social classes had led to the Frasian peoples gaining gradual resentment of the noble Engleans which presided above them in the Imperial system, and in 1870 the First Frasian Revolt occurred. The Reichswehr quelled the revolt, and this led to the “Period of Resentment” lasting from 1871-1938. In 1939, the Second Frasian Revolt occurred with the East Frasian Reich (Ostfriesische Reich) joining the Core Powers during the Second World War and being defeated by the Kaiserreich in 1941. After the war, Frasia was separated into the Kingdom of Frasia and the Duchy of Frasia-Stockhausen ruled directly by the Kaiser.

The resentment between the Engleans and Frasians has been present for centuries, but had died down significantly from 1960 onwards until the actions of Governor Leutens and von Ketenhausen had brought about the troubles of the past into light once again. It is expected that crowds will gather to protest in Frasia proper, and the Frasian Landwehr has been instructed to prepare for this possibility. The election to present these proposals before the Reichstag occurs on Tuesday, in which it will be determined whether or not discussions will occur on the topic.

Aygon Area Rapid Transit (AART) proposed by Transport for Aygon

Image

The Aygon Area Rapid Transit (AART) has been officially put to the Regional Commission for the Bailor for voting, the ambitious project put by the public body Transport for Aygon is meant to link Aygon to Damsmar, Eurotas, Aayron and other "commuter" towns outside of Aygon with an electrified-rapid transit rail network funded by the Unitary Government at the cost of an estimated nineteen billion Argents over a seven year time-span. The new rail system is "desperately" needed says Transport for Aygon, with the city growing outside of the limits of the public transport network.

In an official statement, Transport for Aygon said:
"The time for quick solutions must come to an end. Currently Aygon is a bustling and growing city, however it is hampered by the unfit for purpose infrastructure. The current heavy rail system is often cramped and running on ageing technology. Instead of patching systems together for the short-term, Aygon must be thinking ahead. The Aygon Area Rapid Transit system is a new string of modern railway tracks and stations to accommodate the growing cities and towns around Aygon. By linking these towns and cities with central Aygon with an on-time and modern public transport system we can put the pressure off the interior motorway and road system, which is not only a plus for our traffic issues but a plus for the environment. Old stations will be renovated and revamped to modern standards, vastly improving the comfort of travellers. Existing heavy rail infrastructure will be modernised, with more stations being added to alleviate congestion at existing ones. The AART will also include a new connection to the international airport, which currently relies on the existing rail and bus system. Journey times slashed and commuting becoming less of a hassle, the AART system will be revolutionary for Aygon."

The reactions are mainly positive from Aygon Council and various other Committees. The main Bailorian parliament however is mixed on the possibility of investing such a large amount of money in a project, which could become delayed and could cost more than necessary. The Alt Liberal leader Christina Anderson was concerned that if the project went ahead, she would expect "Over a thousand kilos of legal challenges dumped on top of Transport for Aygon, and subsequently the government." She also feared that such an ambitious plan will be delayed by this, as well as being delayed by mandatory public consultations. A process she has called a "waste of money."

The scheme will be voted on the 21st of October in the Bailorian regional parliament. If it passes here, it must pass through the Unitary Parliament in which it is less likely to be successful. If it is victorious in both chambers, Transport for Aygon and the Unitary Commission would be legally mandated to begin the process of planning and implementing the massive overhaul of public transport within the capital of our country, Aygon.

REGIONAL:

Foreign Investment outside of the "Home Regions" of SW Bailor "a key priority" for InvestBailor, whom have been slated for not doing enough to promote the outer regions of the state.

INTERNATIONAL:

The Unitary Commission and Foreign Commission have released no statement on the current happenings within Engleberg, but no doubt they are watching with a close eye.

Today in a glowing report by the National Disaster Preparation Board(NDPB) the nation was hailed as one of the most disaster-ready nations of the region with a massive 60% disaster readiness, The report by the NDPB that the overall dust storm-related deaths have dropped drastically by around 50% thanks to the 5 year project that provided rural areas of northern Calva with access to propper refuges that protect from the dust storms that ravage the north during autumn, Along with this massive progress made in the north came the announcement of work by a group of companies most well known for their work in the north of calva who say that they are working on building Vaults that would be able to house large numbers of citizens in case of an emergency of a nuclear, chemical or biological nature, so far only the designs have been finalised and we have been advised to not get everyone's hopes up yet as there is still a way to go with working out how to provide sustainable food.

Pro-Liberty Front of a Western Corentian Daredland (PLFWCD) coalition wins legislative election

Image

The voting in the legislative election has ended and the votes have been counted. The results are in. The Pro-Liberty Front of a Western Corentian Daredland (PLFWCD) coalition has been declared winner by a large margin. 54.24% of registered voters gave their support to PLFWCD. There are no real close seconds because comptetitors have ended up far behind PLFWCD. Citizens Against Brutality (CUB) garnered 12.2% followed by People’s Power (PP) with 11.14%. Civic Duty (CD) acquired 11.8%. Party for Central Approach (PCA) and Social Liberal Party (SLP) did better than expected. PCA won 4.62% and SLP got 4.4%. The remaining 1.6% were jointly acquired by remaining parties. The turnout was 81.50%. This shows that the expected trend of lower turnout did not follow from the constitutional referendum. Experts said that the indecisiveness of Daredis at this confusing period could have led to a lower turnout but this has not become a reality. Vast majority of Daredis took the voting seriously and found time to show their civic position. They used their power to control the nation’s destiny which is the same power that the Flaming Revolution fought for.

Without a doubt this makes PLFWCD the winner and a coalition that will lead the next government. PLFWCD is a political coalition of parties but its runner-ups are all non-party citizen movements. This shows a trend that the citizens trust in civil society movements more than in parties. The great success of Citizens Against Brutality (CUB), People’s Power (PP) and Civic Duty (CD) can be explained by their relatability, activity, their role in the Flaming Revolution and in running the interim Government of Unity and Reasoning during transition. The greatest fiasco was surprisingly experienced by the Germanic Union (GU) coalition. GU was among the brightest stars shinning in this election and the political life of Daredland. Apperantly ‘no publicity is bad publicity’ rule has not applied here. Everybody was talking about GU but when it came to give the vote this popularity did not pay off. GU did not even reach final Top 6. The coalition ended up amongst those forces that shared 1.6% of votes among themselves. Analysts say that this results is definetely surprising but it also makes sense. GU had alleged links to the Englean Kaiserreich that already cast a shadow over their reputation. GU also had pan-Germanic ideology as its main one which has not flown well in a multi-cultural nation. GU also did not have a clear plan for domestic and foreign policy instead keeping everything vague or not connected. GU said it would fix a lot of issues after the election but did not provide an action plan during the campaign. Finally there was the inclusion of the Weniges Representation Front (WRF) and the Legion of Germanic Daredland (LGD). WRF was still widely seen in Daredland as a political wing of Weniges armed militants while the LGD destroyed its reputation by attempting to usurp power which caused the Flaming Revolution. The expectations of GU to succeed have been seen as very overconfident because of all the controversy. Probably GU placed a bet on the purely Germanic part of Daredi populace but even they did not give GU the support. The outcome of this vote may show to GU that the Daredi populace holds different values to pan-Germanism.

The biggest success probably was for Party for Central Approach (PCA) and Social Liberal Party (SLP) even if they had not won. PCA and SLP did not get enough percentage to win a role in the next government but their numbers are still surprising. Both parties colluded with LGD in usurping the power in Daredland and causing the revolution. PCA and SLP were often called out as being traitors but the votes show that they have not completely lost trust. At the same time some experts attribute this success to PCA and SLP leaning towards pragratism rather than extremes. Interim President of the State Council of Daredi Confederacy Luca Sveriger congratulated the PLFWCD coalition with triumph and sent congratulations to her own People's Power (PP) and other competitors in the election. She asked the intelligence community to present any information if there were attempts of interference into the election. Police in Freihat and other cities are preparing to keep order after supporters of GU declared that they would holt protest marches against the election results with torches and Germanic symbols. The results for local and regional elections are yet to be counted and announced. The formation of a new government led by PLFWCD will have to coincide with the New Constitution and the reforms of government structure written in it.

Major Changes for Auto Manufacturers in Asanagi Announced

Following a long series of debates within the National Meritocratic Council, the government has announced new guidelines for auto manufacturers within the country. Most of these new measures are being taken to reduce the impact of the auto secton on the environment. As laid out by the new regulations these new measures, Asanagi will bar the sale of all-gasoline vehicles starting in 2019, and aim to have removed gas operation from cars altogether starting in 2028. To clarify the measures, Councilman Dr. Kasuhiso Youkadou, accomplished environmental researcher and former head of the National Board of the Environment, said in a statement:

"The Auto Industry has made great strides with introduction of Hybrid and Electric cars to reduce the impact of our daily commutes on our environment. It is the belief of the Meritocratic council that the technology has progressed to the point and become widespread enough in the industry that we may introduce measures to remove all-gas vehicles from sale without sacrificing availability to the regular consumer. While there will be an appreciable increase in the costs of owning a vehicle, we believe that this is only a short-term issue, and that costs will go down as demand increases and the technolgois mature further."

The national automaker, Yusu Motor Works, has annoucned concurrently with the new measures, that it will be transitioning its current vehicle lineup for the 2019 year to an all-hybrid setup, and will offer all-electric options in some models. FuturCar, the country's home-grown eco-friendly automaker, has applauded the Government's decision to remove all-gas vehicles from the curent sales lineup. However, the company, which has also begun heavily researching and developing Hydrogen Fuel Cells for its vehicles, also finds itself concerned over the lack of funding given to this alternative power source. The Council has approved funding for the installation of electric car charging stations across the country, to reduce the impact of the shorter range of all-electric vehicles.

”Alternative Dadaism” Festival To Open In Ucinda: Music Videos Like “Spirit”, “Psycho” And “Swamp”, As Well As Fake Commercials Like “The Park” And “Sandstorm” Used As Promotional Media

Image

The city of Ucinda continues its’ tradition of hosting multiple festivals of various categories. The next festival on the horizon is the “Alternative Dadaism” art festival. It will focus on the art form of Alternative Dadaism, which is related to Dadaism (Dada), Neo-Dada and Pop Art. Nevertheless, traditional Dada and Neo-Dada are still art forms that encompass a cynical and nihilist nature, sometimes accused of projecting anger and pointlessness onto art. Dada has been viewed as a darker version of social satire and has been an art form existing in paintings, collages, music, video and other forms. It is one of more modern art forms, including mixed media elements. Alternative Dadaism is more light-hearted that traditional Dada or Neo-Dada and focuses just on laughable absurd, rather than angry or hopeless absurd. It holds that same satirical nature when it comes to society, but the humor is less cynical. In fact, Alternative Dadaism will often include unintentional beauty and will end up creating something genuinely enjoyable out of seemingly incompatible elements. Proponents of traditional Dada and Neo-Dada have previously referred to Alternative Dadaism as being a less serious branch of Dada and has more in common with meme culture. Nevertheless, this position of Dada purists has apparently not resonated much, because Alternative Dadaism has proven more popular and commonplace.

The “Alternative Dadaism” festival is already actively dropping promotional material. 2 of the promotional clips are music videos, which mix incompatible media into unconventional mash-ups. The first promotional clip – “Spirit”, combines 80’s pop music with 90’s grunge, the second clip – “Psycho”, combines movie footage from a satirical black comedy psychological thriller with something similar to R&B and the third one – “Swamp” is a combination of rap and a children-oriented CGI animated property. The other 2 promotional clips that dropped this week, were 2 commercial parodies. The first one – “The Park” resembles a tourism promo, while the other – “Sandstorm”, is supposed to replicate an energy drink commercial. The nature of these 2 clips resembles the characteristics of Alternative Dadaism. Its’ resemblance to meme culture has explained why Alternative Dadaism has actually garnered more popularity among youth, compared to traditional Dada, Neo-Dada or Pop Art.

New Constitution adopted and a new government under formation in Daredland

Image
Image

The interim Government of Unity and Reasoning has adopted the Daredi Confederal Constitution. This is what the constitutional referendum had called for. The original intention was to wait for the next government comprised of elected parties, coalitions and movements to carry out the adoption of the new constitution. But it was later realized that a new constitution would already have to be in place so that the next government could form under a new strucutre. The interim State Council fortunately is led by the same forces that won the elections which gives the interim Government of Unity and Reasoning de jure right to adopt the constitution. This would make it convienient for the next government too because it could now focus on forming itself under the Daredi Confederal Constitution that is already in place.

On the side the interim Government of Unity and Reasoning is preparing to transfer power to the new elected government of Daredland that is now under formation. Interim President of the State Council of the Daredi Confederacy Luca Sveriger and Interim Vice President of the State Council of the Daredi Confederacy Caifi Habsburg are readying themselves to leave their positions so that their successors could fill them in. Interim State Minister of Reintegration and Reconciliation Yannick Baumgartner, Interim Chancellor Franz Potesinan and Interim Vice Chancellor Hans Arobat are also preparing to step down when the new government is ready. But their party Western Corentian Nationalists of Daredland (WCND) is part the election-winning Pro-Liberty Front of a Western Corentian Daredland (PLFWCD) coalition so there is a probability that the two might return to the top posts. The same might partially apply to other notable members of the interim government. Luca Sveriger, Caifi Habsburg and Yannick Baumgartner are each from Citizens Against Brutality (CAB), People's Power (PP) and Civic Duty (CD) political movements that did well in the legislative, local and regional elections. The forces they represent might see an influential role in the next government. At the same time they have not individually received enough votes to have a bigger role in the new government unless they decide to combine and form a coalition together. The interim Government of Unity and Reasoning will be the nation’s last leadership under the previous constitution and previous structure. It is also the last government of the Daredi Confederacy.
Image
National Council composition with PLFWCD (dark red) in the majority.

The new government will be led by the PLFWCD coalition which has won most votes in the legislative election and has also done very well in local and regional elections. A large amount of votes in all elections has won PLFWCD strong leadership of the new Daredi government. An official formation of a new government is now underway under the Daredi Confederal Constitution. Now that a new government structure is in place it also means that the government has to be formed in a different way than the previous ones. With its success in the legislative election in particular PLFWCD has won majority in both new chambers of a reformed bicameral Daredi parliament that is now the Confederal Assembly. In the lower house that is now the National Council and the upper house that is now the Council of States PLFWCD will hold a majority that it won.

Aagje Danmaar of Western Corentian Nationalists of Daredland (WCND) has been proposed as President of the National Council of Daredland while Niklas Valenan of the Torch of Liberty Party (TLP) was chosen as candidate for First Vice President and Ilse Landiner of Freedom Bloc of Reform (FBR) might become Second Vice President. Jannes Hollar of TLP is candidate for President of the Council of States, Otto Balti Suomal of FBR for First Vice President and ex-Chancellor Calvin Aigner of WCND (having joined the party during the election campaign) for the position of Second Vice President. The primary order of business for the United Confederal Assembly will be to elect the new Confederal Chancellor, the President of the Daredi Confederation that would also chair the Confederal Cabinet, appoint the Confederal Cabinet itself and elect the Confederal Supreme Court of Daredland. This will be the first ‘test run’ for the new bicameral parliament and a look at how both chambers of lower house National Council and upper house Council of States can work together. Because both will be led by PLFWCD much disagreement or stagnation between the houses is not expected.

Eelco Lechner of Western Corentian Nationalists of Daredland (WCND) is the primary candidate for the new Confederal Chancellor. He is a new generation politician and puts a young face and new ideas in Daredi politics. Current Interim Chancellor Franz Potesinan of WCND is the primary candidate President of the Daredi Confederation. The United Confederal Assembly is also looking at the candidates list for Confederal Ministers that would comprise the Confederal Cabinet. The Confederal Ministries in the Confederal Cabinet under the Daredi Confederal Constitution are similar to that of the Chancellery of the Daredi Confederacy but is also intended to include two new departments. Those departments would be the Confederal Ministry of MDAA Accession and the Confederal Ministry of SOWEFTA Accession. The United Confederal Assembly woukd have to approve the creations of the two new deparments with upper house and lower house voting for it. The position of Special Representative for Interactions with the Englean Kaiserreich under the Confederal Ministry of Foreign Affairs has presided in the Confederal Cabinet under the new constitution. Some notable candidates for the positions of the Confederal Cabinet include: Liam Schneider of CAB as Confederal Minister of Reintegration and Reconciliation, Heinrich Schweinsteiger of PP as Special Representative for Interactions with the Englean Kaiserreich under the Confederal Minister of Foreign Affairs, Friedrich Heuvel of CD as Confederal Minister of Foreign Affairs, Axel Norge of WCND as Confederal Minister of Defense and Protection, Günter Heilig of WCND as Confederal Minister of MDAA Accession, Dries Schwarz of TLP as the Confederal Minister of SOWEFTA Accession, Yannick Baumgartner of CAB as Confederal Minister of Home Affairs, and ex-Vice Chancellor Felix Gudatan of WCND as Confederal Minister of Justice and Police. The National Council and Council of States as the United Confederal Assembly will have to hold hearings and approve candidates put forth by parties, coalitions and movements. After the Confederal Cabinet is appointed it will be required to use its own designated power to appoint the Confederal Vice Chancellor. The current primary candidate for Confederal Vice Chancellor is said to be Forta Haas of FBR. The last task for the United Confederal Assembly will be the election of the Confederal Justices and Deputy Confederal Justices.
Image
Council of States composition with PLFWCD (dark red) in the majority.

The public polling of citizens shows enthusiasm towards the new composition of the government when compared to the old one. The numbers show that the citizens of the Daredi Confederation see the new composition of the government under the new constitution as more fair and balanced when compared to the old government of the Daredi Confederacy under the previous constitution. The new government will be bigger, more diversified and its composition will be more complicated. But the new structure is also more balanced and prevents the chances of new power grabs to occur in Daredland in the future. Each part of the government is meant to be interdependent and neither has more powers than others. The Constitution of the Daredi Confederation also prohibits the government from making serious changes or amendments to the constitution which was allowed in the Daredi Confederacy. Influential amendments to the constitution would require public referendums to be held in the same vain as the referendum that led to the adoption of the new constitution. Sometimes the referenda might concur with elections or be held separately. Many of those asked say they trust that the new constitution will keep a balance that will prohibit power grabs. At the same time they say that if the government or separate forces do make future attempts at usurpation then they are ready to go out into the streets and hold them accountable. Polls say that Daredis would not be afraid of another Flaming Revolution to keep the government from power grabs and to maintain Daredland as a nation for its people.

Frasian Proposal Voted Down in the Reichstag, Frasian Delegates Resign after Confrontation; Kaiser Set to Inspect Kingdom of Frasia

Image
The Reichstagsgebäude

Freie Reichsstadt Engelberg, Englean Kaiserreich – After the proposal by two Frasian delegates was presented to the Reichstag today, a unanimous vote was cast to not entertain the proposals. After only 10 minutes, each delegate had decided their view on the proposals – a remarkable time, given that it usually takes upwards of three hours on average. Experienced delegates, such as the Conservative Party’s Freiherr von Kleicher, spoke to the Reichstag stating why they were not in favour of the proposals. von Kleicher stated that the proposals were “illegal, and against the laws put into place by the Imperial Charter.” He continued, “The Imperial Charter has been interpreted in a way that no state may become independent from the Kaiserreich unless their independence is bestowed upon the state by the Kaiser, and the state may not propose an independence attempt before the Reichstag.” Another delegate, the younger Gerhard Haibwitz, was reported to have given a remark after von Kleicher’s presentation that enraged one of the Frasian delegates. Haibwitz was reported to have stated [translated from German]: “This is an excellent explanation as to why a proposal such as this will never pass. Frasia has and will never have the right to secede, and frankly should never.” After hearing this, RA Haaken Kortzfeld was reported to have walked briskly towards Haibwitz and proceeded to beat the delegate with his cane. His associate, RA Stefan Beuter, was reported to have attempted to prevent other delegates from assisting Haibwitz, claiming “He asked for it.” After three minutes, the Engelberg Königliche-Garde in the building were able to separate the two delegates. Haibwitz suffered intensive injuries, and is currently being treated at the Kaiserliche Stadtskrakenhaus. RA Kortzfeld was immediately taken into custody, and has been sentenced to house arrest and a fine of 25,000 Papiermarks (NS$ 24,720). Both Kortzfeld and Beuter have resigned their posts in the Reichstag, and with this the Frasian states do not have any delegation in the Reichstag or Reichsrat.

The response to the attack has been positive, at least in the southern states. Many within Frasia and Frasia-Stockhausen have rallied in support of Kortzfeld, saying he “Upheld the honour of all Frasians.” One commenter stated on Hawkker; “Haibwitz got what came to him. Those Glens up on their hill must be lashed into submission.” Others have been seen to support the idea of “their own Flaming Revolution” in the Southern States, but this is unlikely to happen. In fact, the Kaiser has stated that he will travel to Frasia to attempt to create a solution with the Frasians to prevent any more hostilities. This trip will be on Thursday, and will be held primarily in the capital – Krefeld.

In other news, there have been rumours in Krefeld that a conspiracy is afoot within the Frasian governments. Many citizens on social media have been spreading the conspiracy, which states that members of the Frasian governments have been gathering secretly in the nearby town of Scholfeld. They have supported their claims with grainy photos of tinted vehicles exiting the capital and being seen in the latter town, but these pictures have not been verified. As of current, the Schutzpolizei have not confirmed the conspiracies and have stated that it is most likely a coincidence. The Frasian Landtag has continued to recover from the raids in July, with its current membership calling for a new election for determining the Landtag’s makeup of parties.

Reports are coming in that Krissal, disgraced princess and former heir to the Eikan throne, has been reported missing from her cell in Vaastergaad General Penitentiary. The discovery reportedly came a shock to prison staff, who entered the cell this morning to find it unoccupied. Immediately a manhunt was called to locate the whereabouts of the missing former princess. An investigation is still under way to determine how the princess managed to escape from prison. Currently, the warden of Vaastergaad General Penitentiary has reported that the Princess "must have had outside assistance" to escape from the prison. A 100,000 Sk reward has been posted for any usable information on her whereabouts.
