Not our fault that our Heavy Airships are this heavily armored

Also if allowed, since we've already settled that it's the biggest of the airships mind if i bump it up to a sort of Hindenburg size?

Why do you need to, though?

And that's why we only sent out one heavy airship and some escorts of which the latter can't even stay

Edit:

Oh hecc i forgot that our heavy airships are meant to be mounted with a fucc ton of artillery so uhhh might edit that in later

Taking armed airships to a funeral and a coronation might send out the wrong message.

And is it really wise to place a 'fucc tonne' of artillery on a dirigible? Artillery is quite heavy, as is the ammunition and the powder. Airships just can't handle the amount of guns a ship could handle. Sending a ship with a 'fucc tonne' of artillery will almost certainly send the wrong message.

True, just my feeling that the size is severely disproportionate but eh

I mean, I’m asking him seriously. I’ve already given him quite a lot of leeway to upgrade, seeing as he’s a military-heavy nation, but it’s beginning to feel a little ridiculous.

I do seek your understanding. It’s understandable that as a nation relying almost solely on tech, you’d want to improve it more than the average country, but there’s a certain point where it becomes a little unfair for other players.

Echina started as a small state in the Jorhid Empire, it was protesting for independence from it, ever since it’s creation. With the Empire falling, it rookie the chance to take all military assets and close its borders. This was seen as hostile to the Empire, and would attempt to take it back, while certainly destroying a fair bit of the now Republic, it did not fall.

After this battle, the Empire left it alone. We struggled economically and militarily, with the original capitalism mind set, we we’re able to give jobs to everyone available and can now make weapons on their own as well as have a rising economy, though still fairly medium relatively.

While not have many good relationships with surrounding states, we have reopened the border, after the economy was risen to its highest, the federal election voted for Democratic Socialist, Zoe Chandler. She now rules the country with a fair hand.

In the IC I read "The Empire is dying" all the time. What does that even mean?

In other words: More showing, less telling. Especially when writing from the perspective of the character, that should be easy. Instead of: "He looked at the great display the empire had put up but despite what he saw, he knew the Empire was dying." why not write "He looked at the foreign dignities that came to the Emperor's funeral and noticed that few, if any of the foreign states had send their sovereigns. 200 years ago, he thought, they would not have dared this."

Yeah I know - why don't I go ahead and write this? I guess I will but it will take a few hours, until I can get to this.

I respectfully disagree on this point. In the case you mentioned, it is specifically about a character knowing what's up. It had been different if he had said:

"The empire put up a great display, but the empire was dying"

That would have been telling, not showing. However, in this case, we learn that the character realises that the empire is in decline. I myself think there is quite some showing, not telling, in the opening post. You can see the court intrigue at the higher levels, how nobody dares oppose the Secruity Committee even though it is never stated outright. A simple "your votes have been noted"

So I would not say the opening post has an overabundance of 'telling not showing'.

To be honest, the history could use a little more fleshing out. Right now it's kinda minimal. That really my only critique

I'm not exactly sure how to explain that other than the fact that my writing style veers more to A than to B. English is my second language, so I spend a lot of time pondering the choice of words I use, which could explain why it comes off a certain way to some people and a different way to others.

Besides, I've only counted a single "the Empire was dying" in my first two posts. On top of that, I only directly referenced the decline of the Johrid Empire two other times, namely: when Secretary Thalbraas said: "Our country is slipping down a slope into the dregs, and you are part of the problem", and in the last full paragraph of the first post, when I wrote "...the body of the man who had ruled the fading Johrid Empire for thirty years".

Welcome!

To add on to what Batavia said, I'd like to point out that the overall genre of this RP is still fantasy with some steampunk, rather than modern. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the vibe I get from your app seems to be more of an early-modern setting rather than fantasy.

Other than that, I think it's okay. Just a little more fleshing out would be good.

Name of State (official)Rhun'tyu Taurnum

Name of State (common)The Strange North by its southern neighbors, Taurnum by the Eastern Continent and Rhun'tyu by the inhabitants

Population4.2 million

Dominant race There are no true humans in the mainland, nor is their a true dominant race that exist in the country. Humans live on the Dagon island of Ktraz, but they are a very, very small percentage

Uumash

Humans who have been mutated by the Powers That Be in order to make the trek across the Western Continent to the land that they now inhabit. They are known as the most common of the species that are in the Strange North. Mostly used for common soldiers and labor since they are superhuman and giants compared to humans but lack intelligence that normal humans have.

Pinhk

Original inhabitants of the Strange North and those that official name of the nation came from. They are the second most species and are the technological experts and those that handle air travel of the nations. They are naturally resistant to magic and are similar to dwarves in not being able to use it. It is this is why the Powers That Be recruited them and the Pinhk don't worship the Powers but still understand its rulership through it's children, the Mansis.

The Dagon

The fish people of the Isle of Ktraz, which is between the Western and Eastern Continents, are quite a strange folk. Even to the Strange North, are a strange culture but they are the ones that handle the naval affairs. Tradesmen, pirates, and naval officers they know the seas and have a similar physiology of a frog so being on the seas happen to be natural for them. They also like to smoke and drink rum as well.

The Mansis

The Mansis are the direct spawn of the Powers That Be. They are the rulership of the Strange North and the premier mages as their power comes from their "mother". They are the Powers' voices and reproduce asexually and each offspring in taking care of by the dedicated midwives of a Mansis community. One thing the Mansis are able to do is to fuse multiple communities and their collective consciousness and energy gets shot into the void to form a being only known as the Powers That Be. This serves as a defensive mechanism if their race is endangered of extinction or when a Powers is dead, which has only happened twice in the races lifespan.

Size of military
420,000 at most, but they never use that much unless total war has been unleashed. Technology is standard with the rest of the Eastern Continent with more emphasis being put on logistics and equipment to make sure the expenses are worth it. The diversity of the army is one of it's own strengths, being able to compliment one another race's weaknesses and exploit each others strengths.

The main two things that the Strange North has are a large navy and a strong magical support corps made up by the Mansis. The Mansis magic is naturally strange by design and is able to do massive damage on their enemies with their esoteric ways.Think Lovecraft magic or how it makes people just go insane with enough Mansis Mages casting. They cast in a collective field similar to an Ork WAAAGH!! but they don't make things better, but twist and corrupt the environment with how many Mansis are using powerful spells against enemy forces.

Their main want is to project power over the Eastern Sphere as the Empire weakens since the Powers wish for the invasion and colonization of the vassals and states.

Leader
Thw Powers That Be
An immensely powerful being, the gesltat conscious of the Mansis and their ruler over their race. They are the ascended form of the Mansis as a race and the ones that spawn more of their race and share with them their power. The Powers are able to magics that are considered divine and too strange for the common mage to understand. They speak as multiple voices and aren't seen by normal mortals unless they have been "blessed" by the Powers to see them, which are very far and between.

As powerful as the Powers are, they have been killed. Each time the major nations of the Western Continent have been successful in the invasion of Mansis land and have killed the Powers. This is the Third time the Powers have been formed, this time far away from the Big Three and into the Eastern Sphere, hoping to establish the Strange North as the new power in the Eastern Continent and against the Empire and the Xu South.

Other prominent leaders
Fink: The most smartest Pinhk in the North. Equal parts genius and mad bird, he is one of the few to speak with the Powers outside of the Mansis. He is also one of the only few Pinhk who have been known to be effected by the magic of the Powers, allowing him to extend his life well beyond the normal mortal in order to keep the powerful, scientific mind around.

Fink is known to be one of the key figures to be able to reverse engineer Johrid tech during the trade between the two regions during the Empire's height.

Admiral Uulyth: A famous Dagon admiral who rebuilt the naval might of the Strange North after regaining it by fighting back the Johrid. He turned it a much more mightier navy then what they had previously. He wishes to enforce the North's military around the Dagon's island home as they funnel trade through them and hope to rise their own sphere of influence outside the Strange North and the Eastern Continent.

General Buuput: The Pinhk general who leads the combine forces of the Strange North. She clashes with the Admiral because of the Admiral's belief of the naval strength and General's want to invest in better zepplins for their growing air force. She sees the use of guns being used much more than magic in the common future, much to the dismay of the Mansis.

Location on map
The land north of Osijo

Capital city
Cha'turrgah: The home of the Powers and the Mansis that they spawn. The city is nestled in the center of the Strange North, in a crater. It is known to be a city being built in strange shapes, that are full of Mansis and their every growing spawn. This is the true political landscape and where the Mansis and the leaders of the other races of the Strange North gather and talk about national policy and see what they can do to try and expand their influence upon the land.

Foreigners are not really welcomed, even the Johrua Emperors have never seen Cha'turrgah.

Largest city (if different from capital)

Ktraz: The largest, and most known city of the Strange North. It is home to the Dagon and their navy. They also are known to have all the embassies and diplomatic talks with the Strange North. The island has the only known population of humans that haven't been mutated and usually like the strangeness of the races that form their own communities in the island.
State religion

While there is no state religion, the Mansis and the Uumash worship the Powers That Be as a godlike creator whose will is absolute in their lives. This is mostly due that the Powers has influence or connection through the two races. The other two races worship their own gods and respect the Powers for being a immensely powerful being and the one being capable of restarting the Mansis should the Mansis get nearly destroyed.

History

It started when one of the major powers of the Western Continent had nearly exterminated the Mansis a second time. Those who were human tribals had followed the fleeing Mansis survivors were also being exterminated but they managed to hide the last Mansis and fled their former home east. Those Mansis who have survived had fused into becoming the third Powers That Be, but it was too weak and was an infant. It had to grow for five years before it was powerful enough to mutate the humans into the first Uumash, allowing them to fully flee from the Western Continent.

It took three years to reach the forest themselves that would become known as the Strange North. It was here that they met the inhabitants of the forests, the Pinkh. The Pinkh were a logical race and didn't believe in what the Uumash did when they saw the Powers in it's weaken state, but they took the newcomers in and this spurred the nationbuilding of the Strange North. The Pinkh had made large technological strides but what eventually helped was when the Powers had finally been able to spawn the first Mansis in nearly a decade of waiting.

The Mansis themselves helped bring large magical potential that was connected to the Powers That Be, now a fully powered being. With the job done, the Powers and the Mansis dug out a large crater and formed the city of Cha'turrgah. The Pinkh also started to build their cities and technologies by using Uumash labor. During this time the first scout ships of the Dagon had came to the shores of the Strange North had first contact with the fishfolk.

The Fishfolk culture and trade was powerful, harboring a large navy and has been trading with a growing Johrid Empire. The Powers That Be were interested to hear about the Empire and had used the Dagon as intermediaries to the Strange North and the growing Empire. Trade between the two made the Island of Ktraz to become one of the biggest centers of trade during the Imperial period, even after they joined the Strange North by convention of giving the island more say in the nation and effectively form a confederacy of some sort in the North.

The trade came to a stop as the there was a problem between the two nations, causing a massive embargo on the Strange North. The North started to go into the Western mainland, but found their southern neighbors not as willing to trade but trade was very little. So they turned insular, becoming stories of mysterious and exotic creatures that haven't been seen human eyes and some brave smugglers were try to reach the Island of Ktraz before being destroyed by the Dagon's navy.

Eventually the Empire tried to gain the Island as a staging point to have more power projection. They did so with a swiftness not seen by the Dagon with their superior technology and naval tactics and changed the face of the Island for a centuries until the death of Emperor Kanuri V. The death of the Emperor also came with the massive retaliation by the Strange North, pushing the Johrid back and they regained the island, but by suffering heavily losses and their entire navy.

Admiral Uulyth came into scene to rebuilt the navy and making it bigger and better than what they had in the past. With much of the Strange North trying to modernize itself as the Powers wish to take advantage of the weakening Empire and finally expand themselves and colonize the Eastern Continent in the many greedy wants that the leadership has always wanted to get in the Eastern Continent.

This is great, I love the amount of detail you've put into this app. I can say without that you, sir, are accepted.
Ditched my old signature. Will be making a pretty looking one when I find the time.

When I say modern, I mean recent, not just in terms of technology.

I will definitely flesh it out more

Post coming soon. I am having Prince Voss and Princess Daliah (the latter of whom holds no governmental power in the Royal Court, due to only the Heir-Apparent to the Throne being granted such powers and responsibilities) arrive at the funeral on Queen Ophelia's behalf.

Culture

The people of Hudwel are pragmatic, hardworking and traditional. If something works, it is not looked upon more favourably than if it has no function. That doesn’t mean they don’t like to have fun as well though. People celebrate festivals such as Saturnalia and Lupercalia, go to the baths and attend performances. During Saturnalia freedom and Saturn are celebrated. People play board games, drink beer and give each other gifts. During Lupercalia some of the priests run around in wolf pelts and with a soft goat whip and whip citizens in a parade like format.

After the working day of 4am to 12pm, people go to the bath house to talk amongst themselves, use gym equipment and have a swim. They might go for lunch in the forum, attend the theatre for an opera, musical performance or a magic show, or attend the coliseum for a grand naval battle, gladiator showdown or animal vs animal fight.

During the evening, around 8pm, people might pack it in for the night. Sometimes though, they might tell stories to each other of myths and legends of old days with walking trees, scheming witches and roaming bands of werewolves. As well as tales of hippogriffs, Sphinxs and Nelphies among other mythical beasts.

Those located in other nations may know Hudwel by the culture of those who leave its borders, the nomads, sailors and merchants.

The nomads travel from Hudwel to Braxia to Corim and everywhere in between. They probably have stereotypes as being thieves, dishonest or closed off due to their way of life. But for those that get closer than stereotypes they are usually fairly honest, and for those that ask they are usually able to lend services in tasks such as foresight, stories and entertainment. They sometimes travel as a vaudevillian act, carrying a Hudwellian arena or a circus and thus could be stereotyped as circusfolk as well. They usually have fun events in the evening where they play the accordion tell stories and dance, carrying the Hudwellian ways as they go.

The sailors usually do not get much further than the ports of various states, unlike the nomads. The sailors usually travel in groups of 6 merchant ships and 2 naval defending vessels, totaling around 800 people. Together they deliver products such as Jewelry, Clothing and Meat to other nations, and take home products such as salt, spices and sugar. The, usually Human and Dwarven, sailors in the ports spend time in the port taverns and tell stories of foreign lands in thick coastal accents. They have a reputation as fun, entertaining, and knowledgable.

The merchants have a reputation of being formal during the working hours and less so after. They usually stay in Hudwel, but sometimes they leave to set up shop elsewhere to better take care of their investments. They trade stocks, buy bonds and trade products. Sometimes they help advise merchants outside Hudwel, and learn from the outside merchants as well. Perhaps best associated with the Hudwellian Merchants league, they usually travel frequently enough to have a gentlemans club in major cities of foreign nations owned by a Hudwellian merchant. These clubs usually are stereotyped as boys clubs where people meet to discuss business deals, set up times to play sports and talk about current events. Some find them prestigous, some find them fun and some find them boring. One such time the merchants travel is once every year they host a trade fair in a different country each year. The trade fairs, sometimes archaically referred to as the gathering of the guilds, are large events where information on investment opportunities, latest market prices and the exchange of goods from all over the world such as Magical goods, Organic goods and mechanical goods occurs. The host cities usually make a large amount of money from the exchange of goods occuring in their borders, with an average of 100,000 gold coins each year in the past 4 years. The last four years were held in Gesno of Osjio, Tau'Vedra of Vedros, Tawae of Tawae and Asshai of Carim. This year, in NE 1190 they plan on hosting it in Lharuzja of the Johrid Empire.

Taxes
The federal government collects 20% import taxes, and an income tax of 10%.

The provincial government, as well as the Free Ducal cities, collects an income tax of 10%.

The municipal government, as well as the free ducal cities collects a wealth tax of 2%.

These taxes can be gathered in the form of currency (gold coins, silver coins and bronze coins) or other objects such as crops or farm animals or minerals or a combination of the 3.

Senators
Leader of the Senate Tiberius Cooper

Image

Tiberious is 60 years old. He was born 4 days to the Ides in NE 1130. When he was 21 he joined the military. His basic training would take place in a farming town between Khybon, Lemon, Zapetur and Mahogopine. Here, at basic training, he learned construction skills, healing and anti-magic protection magic, and swordsmanship among other skills. After graduating he would be sent to spend his first 3 years in the army stationed with the regiment in Tangath. In Tangath he assisted with the construction of the city wide wall. In NE 1155 he transferred to Sturgeon. In NE 1158 he was sent to Ariak to assist with the construction of the new steam powered pump.

In NE 1161 he ran for the office of Quaestor, and was successful. He was one of the 4 Quaestors selected to monitor the Treasury in his year. He seemed to do a good job, and as with all Quaestors he received a lifetime appointment to the Senate with it. In NE 1166 Tiberious was elected to the position of Aedile in Mahogopine. That year he was one known for throwing feasts upon the people of Mahogopine, generally rendering his term a success in the public eye. In NE 1170 he was elected to the position of Preator. He helped judge cases from small claims to a assault charge. That year he voted in favour of the railway. In NE 1171 he was assigned as the diplomat to the Jotun. In NE 1176 he ran for the consulship and voted in favour of the sixth railroad and reviewed the health of the treasury. In NE 1177 he was assigned the Governorship of Barovia. As Governor he tried to keep good relations with the Farmers, Fishers, and Manufacturers. As Governor, he also tried to encourage the maintenance of the infrastructure. In NE 1182 he was assigned as the ambassador to the Carim Commonwealth. In NE 1178 he ran again for consul. Again successful, he came in trying to encourage the arts and foreign policy. In NE 1179 he was elected to the position of Principes Senatus.

History
- NE 1 - Johrid Empire founded under the name of the eastern Empire

NE 100 - Johrid Empire begins being called the Johrid Empire

NE 114 - Pavles Pavlessuri and the Hajerus conquers Jun, founding the kingdom of Hajerus

NE 278 - Lord Elvenoril Dass of the Selevinids born

NE 289 - Resistence General Yhnigssi Mu Oyarsemig of the Yhrid born

NE 290 - Lharuzja founded

The Grand Duchy of Hudwel would see its origins rise in NE 320 when a tribe of 10 families known as the Argo would arrive in the forest of Mahogany and Pine. With rumours of other tribes settling nearby in the years past, such as Lharuzja in 290 and Hajurerus in 114, and the location being seen as beneficial, the tribe decided to lay down roots. The tribe would call the new village Mahogopine in reference to the forest.

Mahogopine would grow over the following years, with new houses and businesses popping up. In NE 330 the residents decided to construct a Town hall. A tribe of Elves known as the Draigar would be attracted to their logging efforts and send representatives to meet the Humans in NE 335. Fearing war and wild beasts the villagers decided to construct a wall around the village in NE 340. By NE 342 the Humans and Elf’s had signed a non aggression pact.

Over the following years diplomatic tensions eased. The tribes started to communicate more, meeting were held, and trading occurred. By NE 360 the tribal leaders set forth an official trade agreement detailing the exchange of meat for wood. The 2 nations would make a friendship agreement and mutual defence pact 25 years later in NE 385.

The 2 nations would grow to become closer yet, sharing villages, participating in mutual sports and exchanging information. The chiefdom of the elves and the chiefdom of the Humans would merge in NE 445 and emerge as a single state - The Barony of Human and Elf, or Huel for short.

In 460 Huel would found its first academy, connecting experienced hunters and carpenters looking to teach with young people looking to learn a trade.

In 465 the Harp would be invented in Mahogopine

In NE 470 an expedition of 4 human families (100 settlers), and 1 elf family would be sent further into the forest to settle another area. The Area settled would be home to a hot spring and a field of lemons. The scenery would inspire the new name of the village to become Lemon. With the addition of the new land, the Barony would become boosted in stature to the Viscounty of Huel.

In 475 the Lyre would be invented in Mahogopine

The village of Lemon would continue to expand over the coming years, trading meat and wood from Mahogopine and sending back lemons and tourism’s opportunities. By NE 480 the village of Lemon had Constructed its town hall. The demands of controlling two cities would lead to the establishment of a mayorship in Lemon in NE 485, and the demands of the merchants would see an academy to teach mathematics and literacy develop in NE 490. The trade between Mahogopine and Lemon would be successful in attracting residents to Lemon, and by NE 495 the dirt path between Lemon and Mahogopine would be paved with cobblestone.

Five years later, in NE 500, the success of Lemon would lead to scouts being sent into the forest in search of information about outlying landmarks and nations, returning with knowledge of the sea and the southern nation. In NE 505 contact would be established with the Southern Nation which Huel would learn to be the state of Hajerus.

In NE 510 an expedition would be sent to the coast, following up on the scouting report from 10 years in the past. The area they settled would become the village of Sturgeon. In 515 the horn would be invented in Lemon. Five years later, in NE 520 a new town hall would be built. The town of sturgeon would provide an opportunity to fish for the people of Huel and immigrants came from the forests to learn to do that. In NE 525 the town would elect its first Mayor, improving the overall feel of democracy in Huel. With Lemon and Sturgeon having elected mayors, Mahogopine gained its first mayor in NE 530 relieving the viscount of Huel from his town governance duties and allowing him to focus on larger scale projects. The Viscount would open a spot on his court for an advisor of state, to help provide information relating to the goings on of Mahogopine, Lemon and Sturgeon. Trade between Lemon and Mahogopine would lead to familiar wood and lemons being imported, and fresh fish being exported. By NE 535 the path between Sturgeon and Lemon, and Sturgeon and Huel would be upgraded to cobblestone.

In NE 540 Sturgeon merchants would start trying to trade fish, lumber, meat, and lemons with the people of Hajerus. To help with this, the city of Sturgeon would found a nautical academy to teach sailing and connect aspiring fishermen with fishers of experience in NE 545. The opening of a third academy would lend weight to, and lead to the opening up of a new position on the court for an education advisor to keep him informed on the educational institutions of the realm. The trade would help improve the nautical abilities of Sturgeon and in NE 550 Huel would have its first naval vessel capable of sailing on deeper water, founding the Huel Navy. As Hajerus would expand their navy in NE 555, Huel would meet the challenge and start expanding their navy as well.

Huel would have its first interaction with the Johrid Empire in NE 556. The Viscount of Huel would have representatives sent to Lharuzja to speak to the Johrid about trade. By NE 560 merchants in Sturgeon would begin importing agricultural products such as corn and wheat from Hajerus and the Johrid Empire.

In 565 the Trumpet was invented in Lemon.

In 570 the Order of Lemon is founded in Lemon

In 575 the Organ is invented in Sturgeon.

The potential threats would become noticeable as Huel interacted more with the outside world. Notably the Johrid Empire. The Johrids likely had more men in the military than Huel had in its total population of men women and children. To help with this, in NE 580, Huel founded a Military academy in Mahogopine. The academy would help teach newly recruited officers and non-commissioned officers about the Mahogopine military, including leadership, history, math sciences and swordsmanship for the officers, and construction, history, discipline, drill and swordsmanship for the non commissioned officers. This would help develop the Huel military’s reputation for being strong in discipline, combat engineering, and critical thinking.

In 585 the Order of Sturgeon is founded in Sturgeon.

In 590 A theatre is built in Mahogopine.

The growing demand for Huel fish from Huel and outside states such as the Johrid Empire would lead to fishing villages beginning to appear near Sturgeon in NE 595.

In NE 600 scouts would be sent east. The scouts would help map out the area, discussions discovering large fields of grasslands, a river, and the mountains. In the process of exploring the mountains they would make contact with the Dwarves in the mountains known as the Norvagen. Relations seemed to go off well, although things were slowed by not speaking the same languages. The delegations would use pictures drawn on wood, clay or stone to communicate ideas, similiarly to how the human settlers had interacted with the first elves they had met using wood hundreds of years before. In NE 605 the Huel-Dwarf non-aggression pact was agreed to by the Viscount of Huel and the Jarl of the Dwarven stronghold.

Four years later, in NE 609, the death of the Hajerus king was mourned and the Viscount would attend the funeral. The crowning of Lawrenti IV would also be attended by the Viscount.

By NE 610 some more interspecies language skills had developed and the representatives felt comfortable agreeing to a Huel-Dwarf trade agreement. Huel would start to send timber, fish and dried meats to the Dwarves, and in exchange the Dwarves would send minerals, gold and alcohol. This would be the first time alcohol would see the light of day in Huel.

The Dwarvish gold would be used to mint the first universal currency of Huel, with the opening of a mint in Mahogopine. The coins would have a 0.01, 0.1, and 1. The Front of the 1 would be the Human Viscount and the back would be a picture of a Mahogony tree. The 0.1 would have a picture of an Axe, and the back a picture of a lemon. The 0.01 would have a picture of a fish on the front, and a sailing boat on the back.

In NE 615 a theatre is built in Lemon. The Order of the tree is founded in Mahogopine.

The experience with the Dwarves would highlight the potential need for experienced help going forward in inter state relations, giving weight to, and leading to, the opening of a foreign relations advisor in NE 620 to help keep him informed on matters relating to the outside world. In 625 a theatre is built in Sturgeon. Stone from the Dwarves would go to the construction of an aqueduct between the mountains and Mahogopine by the army in NE 630, providing fresh water to the people of the town.

To aid the Foreign advisor, in NE 635 a new wing of the Mahogopine academy would be developed, adding an academic level of study. Students would be able to develop skills in negotiation, diplomacy and political science, as well be taught basic Human, Dwarven, and Elven literacy and language skills. Five years later in NE 640 the Huel-Dwarf Friendship agreement would be made between the Viscount and the Dwarven Jarl.

A plumbing system would be devised and built in NE 645 by the army to carry the aqueduct waters throughout Mahogopine. Another Aqueduct connecting the mountain waters with Lemon would be built by the army in NE 650. Five years later a water distribution network would be built in Lemon allowing for greater, and more reliable, hygiene and hydration for the of Lemon.

In NE 656 the passing of the Hajerus king Lawrenti IV would be mourned by the Viscount of Huel. The Viscount would attend the funeral and the subsequent coronation of the next Hajerus King. The navy would stop expanding during this year, following the Hajerus lead.

In NE 660 an expedition would be sent to the river near the Dwarven Stronghold to found a village, founding the village of Minemark. The village would develop a skill unique from Mahogopine, Lemon and Sturgeon, in that it focused on manufacturing and stonework. To get started the town would be importing food and wood from the west.

The Viscount and the Foreign advisor would continue to talk with the Dwarven Jarl, improving relations. The Dwarven Jarl would be invited to attend state event in Huel, as well as sports events. Sailing races and gladiator matches among them. In NE 665 the Dwarven Stronghold of Skorblust would join Huel. The Viscouncy of Human and Elf, would become the Earldom of Human, Dwarf, and Elf, or Hudwel.

In NE 670 the village of Minemark would construct its first townhall. Aided by the Dwarves, and with a lower nearby quantity of wood than was available in the west, the town developed a unique stonelike style of architecture. In NE 675 the town of minemark would begin exporting broken rock for the maintenance of the cobblestone roads.

In NE 680 the town became home to the countries first stonework school. Taught by the Dwarves the school would teach basic Dwarvish, as well as skills in how to carve the stone to construct a building. In 685 markmine would start exporting stonework. The stonework provided by Minemark artisans would be used throughout the Earldom for the building of homes, buildings and statues. In NE 685 the dirt path that had previously led between Minemark and Mahogopine was upgraded to cobblestone.

In NE 690 an Aqueduct was built between the mountains and Minemark, bringing fresh water to the people of the town. This would be upgraded in NE 695 with a water distribution network.

In NE 695 the Earldoms first sewer would pop up in Mahogopine. The sewer would be a round stonework tube that would run through the centre of town and connect downstream with a nearby stream. In NE 700 the Earl would open up a position on his court for an advisor for public works. In 705 a theatre would be constructed in Mahogopine. In NE 710 Minemark would construct a sewer that would link it with the River, in NE 715 Sturgeon would gain a Sewer that would link it with the sea, in and in NE 720 Lemon would gain a Sewer that would link it with a stream. In NE 725 an Aqueduct would be built connecting the mountains with Sturgeon.

In NE 730 a water distribution system would be built in Sturgeon. As in Mahogopine and Lemon this would take the form of the aqueduct carrying water into 3 holding tanks, the first for public use and consumption, the second for the public baths and the third for the mayor and city elite who would pay for its use. This would be adopted in Minemark as well five years later.

In NE 735 a theatre would be built in Minemark.

In NE 740 the Harpsichord would be invented.

In NE 745 the Earldom would look at a series of military reforms. The army would be formed at the basic level into groups of 8 soldiers, 2 robotic servants, and 1 pack animal. These groups of 8 would group into 6 groups totalling 480 men (servants and animals not included in the tally). There would be 9 groups of 480 in the legion, and 1 group composed of 5 groups of 160 men. As before each soldier would have a role to play with engineering.

In NE 750, following the military reforms the military academy begin teaching medicine - which helped ensure some of the soldiers would be capable of sewing up a wound, fixing a broken limb, or patching up a bleeding artery - and espionage - allowing for the training of spies in foreign states, opening up two new classes of pre trained military soldiers.

In NE 755, the navy - which had previously largely used sloops and barques, began shifting towards the use of fluyts and barques. This would decrease the overall amount of ships, but increase the overall power per ship.

In NE 760 the town of Markmine began constructing irrigation channels along the River to boost agricultural productivity.

In NE 765 a water distribution network would be constructed in Minemark. The earl received knowledge of the goblin war of the goblin war of contracts in NE 765. The response of the Johrid government in NE 766 was concerning due to the harshness of the action, and the absorption of the Goblins into the Johrid Empire. Setting the standard that no state that should seek help from the Johrids should also seek to remain independent from the Johrids. This concern was again reached in NE 770 when the Hajerus began doing battle with the Johrid Empire, leading to their conquered state a year later.

In NE 775 the Earldoms wizards would gather in Mahogany to discuss the future of magic, and the next generations. Five years later, the Earldoms first Wizarding Academy was founded. The school would teach students illusion magic, transmutation magic, conjugation magics, divination magic, healing magic, necromancy, abjuration, and destruction magic.

In NE 780 the Order of the Kiln is founded in Minemark.

In NE 785 the army began hiring wizards to police their army, considering that those that could see what happened would be in a good position to inform the military and confirm or deny actions taken.

In NE 790 an Expedition was sent down the river to found a village downstream. The expedition of colonists sailed until they came upon a group of cattle drinking by the riverside. They decided to found the village at the site. With the founding of the village of Ariak, Hudwel would become a Marquisate.

In NE 795 the bagpipes are invented in Minemark.

In NE 800, the city of Ariak would construct its townhall. The same year, desiring an improvement in the Hudwel civil servants, a Civil Service training academy was opened in Mahogopine.

In NE 805 the Hurdy Gurdy is invented in Minemark.

In NE 810 being adjacent to the river, Ariak would open up an academy of its own. The school would begin instruction in sailing techniques. This would be different then the coastal school, as the coastal school focused on oceanic sailing whereas the River school focused on waters that were generally faster and less deep. The school would also help connect aspiring farmers with grounded farmers to work as farm hands and learn the trade.

In NE 815 the Marquis would open a spot on his court for someone to advise him on the statistics of the realm. The path between Ariak and Minemark upgraded to cobblestone.

In NE 820 an aqueduct is built connecting Ariak to the mountains. The same year, the minister of statistics would organize a mandatory censorship of all the residents of Hudwel. From this survey they would learn that there was a total population of 39,748, 50% Humans, 30% Dwarfs, and 20% Elves.

After confirming the population and property owned in Hudwel, Marquis would be interested in learning about his taxes and tributes owed him. In NE 825, he would open up a position for his court to deal with the treasury of the Marquisate, and advise him on possible monetary policy.

In NE 830 a group of Dwarves would leave Skorblust and found a new Dwarf Mine. The mine would be located to the west of Skorblust and be called Kaal. The location of Kaal would be rich in silver, and bronze. These exports would be valuable to the Hudwel treasury as they would be able to switch the 3 different coins to different materials. 1 being gold, 0.1 being silver and 0.01 being bronze.

In NE 835 the army would help expand the Irrigation channels previously built to help Markmine. This would be done by building new ones around Ariak.

The year NE 836 would be one of stress in the Dukedom as Nihei II passing would leave a gap in the throne of the Johrid Empire. The uncertainty entered into by the succession crises would create concern that the war could spill over into Hudwel, trade could be hurt and investments could be lost.

In NE 838 the Duke would open up a spot on the court for a fiscal adviser to help advise him on fiscal policy and investments.

In NE 840 an Expedition sent to the river to found a village downstream, founding the village of Fort Mipedim. Hudwel becomes a Grand Duchy. Another Census reveals the Pop now rests at 47,698.

In NE 845 the order of the Goat founded in Ariak. A water distribution network is installed in Ariak.

The year NE 846 could be seen as being just as stressful as the year NE 836 in some ways. The previous years had seen the Empire take a breather, allowing Hudwel and other states to stretch out a bit and expand their market share of the sea and land trade. The ending of the Succession war would see 15 of the 16 houses executed and Arlesti I Anamuna crowned Emperor of the Johrid Empire. This result could mean an empire with limited political limitations for years or centuries to come.

In NE 850 Dwarves from Skorblust and Kaal moves on to found the new Hold of Zapetur. Zapetur would have large supplies of coal and diamonds. The same year, Mipedim constructs their townhall.

In NE 855, large supplies of Iron were discovered in the hills around Ariak. The year NE 860 would see the beginning of the guilds and trades association gaining influence. The mining association would be founded in Ariak that year. A Census would determine that the population of the Grand Duchy was 57,238. In NE 865, the builders association would be founded in Minemark.

In NE 870 a series of expanded Irrigation channels were constructed around Mipedim. These would serve the agricultural needs of the city, however were built expanded to see the village prepared to expand its cultural and entertainment sectors in the future. The same year the town of Ariak would see the founding of the Beekeepers Association. In NE 875 the Entertainers association would be founded in Mipedim. People would start coming to Mipedim to gamble, relaxed in spas, and watch acts such as singing, juggling and acrobatics.

In NE 880 the stoneworkers guild would be founded in Markmine. A censorship would deem the population at 68,685. In NE 883 Braxias independence was silently celebrated by the Grand Duke of Hudwel.

In NE 885 the lumberjacks association would be founded in Mahogopine.

In NE 886 Coal was discovered in the hills around Sturgeon

In NE 890 an Expedition would be sent down the river to found a village downstream, founding the village of Korbek. Teachers association founded in Lemon.

The Grand Duchy of Hudwel would see its origins rise in NE 320 when a tribe of 10 families would arrive in the forest of Mahogany and Pine.

A tribe of Elves would be attracted to their logging efforts and send representatives to meet the Humans in NE 335.

Ten years later, in NE 520 a new town hall would be built.

In the process of exploring the mountains they would make contact with the Dwarves in the mountains.

The experience with the Dwarves would highlight the potential need for experienced help going forward in inter state relations, giving weight to, and leading to, the opening of a foreign relations advisor in NE 620 to help keep him informed on matters relating to the outside world.

In 385 markmine would start exporting stonework.

In NE 710 Minemark would construct a sewer that would link it with the River, in NE 720 Sturgeon would gain a Sewer that would link it with the sea, and in NE 730 Lemon would gain a Sewer that would link it with a stream. In NE 740 an Aqueduct would be built connecting the mountains with Sturgeon.

In NE 745 the Earldom would look at a series of military reforms. The army would be divided into groups of 10. These groups would be grouped into 5 groups of 100 and 1 group of 200. Together they would make up a legion.

In NE 800, the city of Ariak would construct its townhall. The same year, desiring an improvement in the Hudwel civil servants, a Civil Service training academy was opened in Mahogopine.

In NE 820 the army would help expand the Irrigation channels previously built to help Markmine. This would be done by building new ones around Arias.

In NE 865, the Stoneworkers association would be founded in Minemark.

In NE 870 a series of expanded Irrigation channels were constructed around Mipedim. These would serve the agricultural needs of the city, however were built expanded to see the village prepared to expand its cultural and entertainment sectors in the future.

In NE 890 an Expedition would be sent down the river to found a village downstream, founding the village of Korbek.

The Grand Duchy of Hudwel would see its origins rise in NE 320 when a tribe of 10 families would arrive in the forest of Mahogany and Pine.

A tribe of Elves would be attracted to their logging efforts and send representatives to meet the Humans in NE 335.

Ten years later, in NE 520 a new town hall would be built.

In the process of exploring the mountains they would make contact with the Dwarves in the mountains.

The experience with the Dwarves would highlight the potential need for experienced help going forward in inter state relations, giving weight to, and leading to, the opening of a foreign relations advisor in NE 620 to help keep him informed on matters relating to the outside world.

In 385 markmine would start exporting stonework.

In NE 800, the city of Ariak would construct its townhall. The same year, desiring an improvement in the Hudwel civil servants, a Civil Service training academy was opened in Mahogopine.

In NE 820 the army would help expand the Irrigation channels previously built to help Markmine. This would be done by building new ones around Arias.

In NE 890 an Expedition would be sent down the river to found a village downstream, founding the village of Korbek.

Ditched my old signature. Will be making a pretty looking one when I find the time.

The Grand Duchy of Hudwel would see its origins rise in NE 320 when a tribe of 10 families would arrive in the forest of Mahogany and Pine.

A tribe of Elves would be attracted to their logging efforts and send representatives to meet the Humans in NE 335.

Ten years later, in NE 520 a new town hall would be built.

In the process of exploring the mountains they would make contact with the Dwarves in the mountains.

The experience with the Dwarves would highlight the potential need for experienced help going forward in inter state relations, giving weight to, and leading to, the opening of a foreign relations advisor in NE 620 to help keep him informed on matters relating to the outside world.

In 385 markmine would start exporting stonework.

In NE 800, the city of Ariak would construct its townhall. The same year, desiring an improvement in the Hudwel civil servants, a Civil Service training academy was opened in Mahogopine.

In NE 820 the army would help expand the Irrigation channels previously built to help Markmine. This would be done by building new ones around Arias.

In NE 890 an Expedition would be sent down the river to found a village downstream, founding the village of Korbek.

I like how much time you took making this, but don't you think those ships look a little bit too advanced for the era?

Thank you. I saw that steamships were available, as well as airships, so I wanted to check. If they are too advanced I can change to ships such as galleons. Would that be a better fit?
