NS Name: Arkeyana WIP
Nation Name: Harvester Fleet 300-Delta-Ki
Flag: N/A
Capital: Ark Beta-Polaris-Zed, a vast, abandoned Generation ship housing an alien ecosystem, much of the interior of it has been claimed by the Forests, though there are still signs of former civilization aboard it. It drifts among the remains of a rogue planet-turned fortress network/Manufacturing center, commanding the fleet to follow it's original function: Sustain the Ark, Sustain themselves, Harvest, Defend as necessary.

population size: 300 billion Ships.
Primary species: Harvesters, Vast ships made of Nanobots and smart materials that can shift to fit their needs, typically divided into Seed Platforms, Defense Platforms, Harvester Platforms, Scout Platforms, Hive Platforms, and The Ark.
Culture: Sustainability, whilst they break chunks off of planets for energy, they do try to not overuse what they do not need, as they allocate energy evenly unless ships are in major need of regeneration. They typically are not offensive, only defensive, and will avoid inhabited systems if it is obvious they are inhabited. However, they cannot distinguish between biological life and regular material, so often a show of force is required. Upon discovery that there IS life in the system, they will promptly apologize and retreat into uninhabited space to continue mining. However, if one were to try and pursue them, expect appropriate retaliation.
Nation History: Harvester Fleet 300-Delta-Ki is one of millions of Automated fleets roaming the universe, drifting on the void between galaxies to service it's Creators. They break apart worlds and asteroids to fuel themselves, regenerating and adapting to new environments, and sustaining the Fleet Ark. Of course, Intergalactic Travel does come with Risks. In this case, an alien Infection from a strange artifact. In order to prevent the spread, the Ark's systems ultimately decided that extermination of all sentient life aboard it was the final solution. Approximately Ten million years ago, whilst travelling to another galaxy from Andromeda, The Ark's automated onboard guardians exterminated the population before destroying themselves and a full section of Habitat was glassed to ensure eradication of the disease, and the Ark went into Hibernation.

Now, approximately a century ago, they had burst into this galaxy abruptly, due to an unexpected Failure and Collapse of the Hyperwarp Tunnel that the Fleet was travelling through. The Ark was crippled, Harvesters finding a nearby rogue planet and breaking it apart to drag the pieces into orbit around the Ark to protect it. A distress signal was sent, but it will be millions of years until another Fleet can jump in to fix the issue, so now The Fleet must take on it's biggest challenge:
Surviving in a Galaxy they can't escape from.
Unique Technologies:
Grav-Drills: Gravitational Weapons used in breaking apart planetary bodies, long charge time, long Cooldown, and require Dark Matter siphoned from a Black Hole.
Hyperwarp Tunneling Device: An FTL Engine that Arks use to travel between Galaxies, used to creating a Hyperwarp Tunnel, a cylinder of Warped space about a lightyear long and an AU wide. Ark Beta-Polaris-Zed's, however, is crippled beyond repair even by Nanites.

Military Size: Technically, the Whole Fleet can be mustered to war, but only the Ten Billion Defense Platforms are actually optimized for battle.
Military Description: The Fleet is very heavy in Point Defense and Fighters, thanks to Hive Ships and Ships in General.
Soldier appearance: (Spoiler images)

Decided not to do psionic space octopuses, but instead return with an old nation of mine.

NS Name: The Orson Empire

Nation Name: Cho'Dosan Covenant

Flag: http://i.imgur.com/J9uz4Oj.jpg

Capital: Klandulor, Klandul System

Population size: 470 billion

Primary species: Cho'Dosans are a race of humanoids; while a dark violet skin color is the most common in the species (with 60% of Cho'Dosans having the color), skin color ranges from light blue to black, and in rare cases, black. Cho'Dosans have an average height of around six feet, and tend to be fairly tall and lean. They possess four eyes, allowing for a fairly wide field of view. Due to their lack of muscle, Cho'Dosans compensated with their ability to use psionics, a rare ability on their homeworld of Klandulor (having only evolved in a few hundred species), as well as increased intelligence. In modern times, Cho'Dosans often augment themselves with power armor or implants to further make up for their lean frame. Nevertheless, with their senses heightened by psionics and their evolution into fully sapient creatures, they became the dominant apex predator on Klandulor, and eventually settled down into civilizations.

Culture: The base unit of Cho'Dosan society is an "association". In Cho'Dosan society, there is no concept of a romantic relationship, and Cho'Dosans gain no pleasure from having sex; while Cho'Dosans do have an impulse to have sex, ensuring the species survives, this is solely done for the purpose of reproduction. A male and female Cho'Dosan will form a "partnership" to have children (which is more like a friendship than a relationship), but they often do not raise the children themselves; instead, multiple partnerships make up an association, in which the next generation of Cho'Dosans is raised communally; associations also began the earliest forms of civilization in Cho'Dosan history. Partnerships are not permanent like marriages, and it is common for male and female Cho'Dosans to be involved in several partnerships over their lifetimes. In the past, ancient social codes dictated who could and couldn't reproduce, and few Cho'Dosans dared defied the code unless they wanted to be ostracized from society; in modern times, as Cho'Dosan society has liberalized, these social codes have fallen by the wayside (even with attempts by the Central Committee to reintroduce them), with partnerships allowing to have and raise children as they see fit, free from government oversight. Multiple associations organized themselves into villages, towns and cities, and eventually nation-states.

Due to their psionic nature, Cho'Dosans have tended to be highly spiritual people, developing a number of religious beliefs in an attempt to explain their powers. Nations strictly enforced their own local belief systems to appease their gods, fearing their powers might disappear if they angered the gods. As Cho'Dosan society liberalized and religious freedom laws were implemented, many of these beliefs have faded away over the centuries; nevertheless, many Cho'Dosans nevertheless believe in some form of a higher power, still having discovered no scientific explanation for their powers.

Nation History:

~3,000,000 years ago- The Cho'Dosans enter the Stone Age on their homeworld of Klandulor.

~15,000 years ago- The Cho'Dosans discover agriculture. First major civilizations begin to arise on Klandulor thousands of years later.

440 AD- The Cho'Dosans enter the industrial age. The population of Klandulor increases rapidly due to a high food surplus.

528 AD- The Cho'Dosans enter the atomic age after the invention of the atom bomb. The Cho'Dosans enter the space age at around the same time, and within 50 years, colonies on Klandulor's moon are created.

~700 AD- With much of their home solar system colonized, the Cho'Dosans began constructing giant fusion-powered "sleeper ships" to colonize nearby solar systems. These ships often took years to reach their destinations, and their occupants were kept in suspended animation. The colonies remain independent from Klandulor and become the foundation for the numerous Cho'Dosan nations that would spring up in the future.

834 AD- After centuries of research, the Cho'Dosans begin to mass produce the first warp drives, allowing them to quickly expand outside of the few solar systems under their control and end the use of sleeper ships. Numerous Cho'Dosan nations begin to form across the Orion Arm.

902 AD- An intergovernmental organization known as the League of Klandulor is formed, with the goal of promoting interstellar peace, promoting civil rights, and fostering economic and social development in the fledgling Cho'Dosan nations. Ever since the invention of the atom bomb, Cho'Dosan civilization had come close to the brink of nuclear annihilation countless times, and as more advanced weaponry was developed over the past several centuries, warships began to possess enough firepower to leave large portions of an entire planet in ruins, only further increasing the chances of the Cho'Dosans annihilating themselves in combat. Additionally, the central governments of Klandulor found it more and more difficult to control the hundreds of colonies beyond the Klandul System, leading to numerous independent movements and outright revolts on the frontiers of Cho'Dosan space. The League of Klandulor provided these nations with the means to solve their disagreements diplomatically, and the League soared in popularity; by the end of the 10th century, all Cho'Dosan nations had joined the League. The first congressional meeting is held on Klandulor in 903.

1944 AD- Over 1,000 years after the League's establishment, the Cho'Dosan nations that had made up the League of Klandulor had lost their national identity, while the League became extraordinarily powerful. The League's minor peacekeeping forces had developed into a fully-fledged military capable of taking on any nation that wished to oppose it, and the League regularly flexed its might over the nations in numerous "police actions". The International Congress became nothing more than a rubber stamp for the Peacekeeping Committee (one of the principal ministries of the League), which was in charge of overseeing the peacekeeping forces and carrying out said police actions. The Committee was under the firm control of a political organization known as the "Reformers", who sought to reorganize Cho'Dosan space into a single-unified nation under their control, rather than the mashup of dozens of political entities that made up the League.

The growing authoritarianism of the League caused substantial unrest throughout Cho'Dosan space, though this simply provided an excuse for the League to become even more powerful, so it could deal with these emerging threats. This would culminate in a major civil war that begun in 1844, when hundreds of star systems would secede from the League of Klandulor, intending to no longer have any part in the ulterior motives of the Peacekeeping Committee. They would form an organization of their own, known as the League of Zaxa (though often referred as the "Anti-League" by supporters of the LOK), which was structured much like the LOK had been centuries ago. The Peacekeeping Committee refused to accept the independence of the League of Zaxa, ultimately resulting in a series of conflicts known in modern times as the Zaxan Rebellion. The so-called Anti-League proved to be a formidable foe, resulting in 215 years of warfare between both sides. As Cho'Dosan society decayed in the face of constant warfare, a number of nations refused to assist either side, preferring to remain neutral and refusing to sacrifice the lives of their citizens and their resources for a pointless war.

2159 AD- Ultimately, the League of Klandulor came out on top in the Zaxan Rebellion, after billions of casualties and the devastation of countless worlds. As vengeance for their rebellion, the peacekeeping forces would glass the planet of Zaxa, the capital of the "Anti-League", killing hundreds of millions of people and rendering the planet uninhabitable. Immediately after the end of the war, the Peacekeeping Committee would order representatives from the remaining nations to meet on Klandulor, where they they would be forced to swear allegiance to the Committee, and join a new entity they referred to as "the Covenant". The Peacekeeping Committee would then announce to the entirety of Cho'Dosan space that the League was dead, and that this new "Covenant of Cho'Dosan nations" would be far stronger than the League could ever hope to be; they claimed that this new entity would prevent another major rebellion and maintain order in Cho'Dosan space for centuries.

In reality, the nations themselves no longer existed, and the Covenant was born. Most of the ministries of the old League were kept in place (though the Peacekeeping Committee was renamed to the Central Committee and assumed full control over the executive branch, while the International Congress became the Klandulor Congress) to maintain the illusion that little had changed, but the Klandulor Congress held only legislative power at best, and was mostly responsible for administering the bureaucracy of the new Covenant. Even still, the Central Committee could veto any bill the Congress passed if necessary. Covenant space was restructured into administrative districts known as sectors, ruled by a governor appointed by the Central Committee. The old peacekeeping forces were reorganized into the Covenant Military.

The new Covenant would begin centuries of rebuilding, as well as continuing the "police actions" of the old League against the remaining neutral nations and any other enemies that defied the will of the Covenant.

Unique Technologies:

Psionic weaponry: Millennia ago, the Cho'Dosans developed the ability to psionically enhance their weapons, increasing the durability and sharpness of their swords and spears, and the range of their bows and guns. These ancient rituals have survived into modern times, with the Cho'Dosans developing weaponry solely powered by the psionic energies of its wielder. These weapons tend to be far superior to their non-enhanced counterparts, but few Cho'Dosans are trained enough in the psychic arts to properly wield them.

Warp teleportation: Utilizing a miniaturized warp drive, Cho'Dosans are able to travel short distances through the warp near instantaneously. These devices are often used aboard ships and space stations, allowing individuals and supplies to travel between a planet's surface and outer space seamlessly. This also allows Cho'Dosan warships to "beam" soldiers, aircraft and armor directly onto their target without risking breaking orbit.

Nanotechnology: Cho'Dosan's widely make use of nanobots, for both civilian and military applications. Nanobots can be used to rapidly heal injuries and fight disease, can be formed into weapons, and can quickly repair armor (which makes them vital for civilian ships and warships, as they can quickly repair any damage to the ship's hull).

Military Size: 10,000,000,000

Military Description: The Covenant Military is the successor to the old peacekeeping forces, and has largely retained its structure from the days of the League. There are two primary branches: the Covenant Army and the Covenant Navy, which are further divided into different units and organizations within each respective branch. Both the army and the navy maintain their own laws, intelligence agencies and elite units, and their highest ranking officers control the Central Committee.

While volunteers are certainly accepted, conscription is mandatory for billions of Cho'Dosans, to ensure a well-trained populace in the event of another catastrophic war. Upon their arrival at boot camp, recruits are trained in basic psionic abilities alongside their normal training, to enhance their senses, speed, strength, and agility in combat, and a few select soldiers will go on to learn advanced psionic abilities.

Soldier appearance: Covenant soldiers will typically wear power armor (known as "battlesuits" in Covenant space), to make up for the Cho'Dosan's lack of strength and lean frame. Covenant battlesuits typically contain a miniature fusion reactor (to provide electricity), an energy shield, an advanced heads-up display and communication equipment, a life-support system (capable of withstanding the vacuum of space for a limited amount of time), and a small jetpack. Battlesuits can nevertheless be extensively customized to suit the combat mission and the environment.

Standard Ship Appearance: Covenant warships come in a variety of different makes and models, but tend to be standardized into six "types":
Type 1 (Corvettes and frigates, generally any ship between 200-800 meters)
Type 2 (Destroyers, 800 meters-1.5 kilometers)
Type 3 (Cruisers, 1.5 kilometers-3 kilometers)
Type 4 (Battleships, up to 7 kilometers)
Type 5 (Carriers, up to 10 kilometers)
Type 6 (Dreadnoughts, up to 19 kilometers)

A little bit of added information I plan to add to my app.

ADDED INFORMATION

Arkaea: Capital of the Arkaean Federation and boasting a population of near thirty billion, Arkaea has long become mostly an ecumenopolis with around a million of one kilometre tall Arcologies, or Arco's for short. Known as Houses among the Arkaean's, they can be located on land or on the surface of her many carbon rich seas where millions toil typically around the farming of fishlife and beneath the ground. Life outside the Arco's is a bustling, hectic lifestyle characterized by low crime (Arkaean crime laws are harsh) and a low rate of corruption as Arkaean's are work-focused and a diligent people. The Entertainment Districts are typically serene gardens and parks where Arkaean's gather to gossip, trade news, and other social events centered around music, singing, and poetry as well as the more martial talents such as wrestling, martial arts, boxing matches, and other venues. There is a seedier side of the ED though, the deeper you go in to the district, where blood sports, prostitution, and drugs can be found.

Outsiders, known collectively as Qa'zar (vermin), from other worlds are forbidden from access outside the House of the Emperor.

The biggest attractions of Arkaea is the House of Primarchs and the House of the Emperor, two twenty kilometer tall arcologies, becoming more interlaced as they ascend towards the heavens. Other attractions include the Arena where thousands are put to death everyday or pardoned of their crimes against the Sacred Laws in holy combat. It can host up to ten thousand melees at once and during the High Festivals will feature battles of thousands of creatures and sapient creatures at once. To be enslaved by the Arkaeans has only one end; you arrive in the Arena.

What about the Zillions? Do they count as robotics, since they are a humanoid clockwork machine race?

NS Name: Novaya Equestria
Nation Name: Commonwealth of Tarsonis
Flag:
Capital: Tarsonis III, Tarsonis system

population size: 104 Billion
Primary species: The primary species of the Commonwealth of Tarsonis are the humans, who are bipedal humanoids that are racially and culturally diverse in terms of color, hair, and appearance.
Culture: Although similar to any human nations, the Commonwealth of Tarsonis is known for its hyper-militaristic culture, which demands that those at the age of 16 or 17 are to be sent to military schools and academies for training. Militarism and nationalism are part of the Tarsonians' ideological beliefs. They believed that those who are weak were to be received military training in order to prevent any weaknesses. Because large-scale military spending saved their nation from total collapse, they placed their faith in the military dictatorship that brought them out of despair. Another part of their beliefs is the merits and talents of those that can be afforded for the state.

The Tarsonians are a highly regimented and militarized society, believing in military force as the answer when diplomacy fails. Families of aristocratic or upper ties or heritage wore military uniforms with sashes, greatcoats, and medals. As a nation with a strong military heritage and culture, the people considers discipline, military training, martial traditions, and combat experience to be important backbones of the society and military, to the point that military personnel will make combat reports of the most excruciating of detail. As it is a highly regimented and militarized society, the social status of military personnel are high to the point of being involved in large parties in peacetime. Military uniforms were worn at all times, especially by students, both schoolboys and schoolgirls, the latter of whom wore black and red, or red and black, serafukus.

The government is a military dictatorship, and the one leading it is a Grand Marshal. The title of Grand Marshal is elective, but only one of four military officers are chosen for Grand Marshal. A Grand Marshal can be referred as Supreme Commander. The Commonwealth of Tarsonis also had an admiralty, which had unusually prominent influences in the society and a great deal of influences in political circles. A nationalistic zeal, or a sense of nationalistic pride, permeates Tarsonian society, which made them fiercely loyal to the state and more ferocious in combat.

Despite their military attitudes, they do not tolerate any forms of racism or discrimination, which has been considered unacceptable. Military officers also respected those who wanted to see their children pursue their own paths once they completed their military training. The Commonwealth of Tarsonis, also, is far more neutral and more watchful despite its militarism and nationalism. While they do not interfere in such conflicts, they only do when it comes to atrocities, such as slavery, purges, and genocides, but they won't if no refugees reached their borders. Tarsonians had no problem with peacekeeping missions, since they always watch over the troubled like knights and paladins. The Tarsonians, however, will prefer being neutral, leading to its isolation that gets broken every time.
Nation History: The Commonwealth of Tarsonis is created from the United Nations Olympia Initiative, a colonization mission involving five ark ships, each carrying a quarter million colonists sent out of the Solar System to colonize worlds. The five arks that was supposed to colonize other worlds, however, arrived at Tarsonis IIIa, which orbits around the star Tarsonis. Two arks landed, but not without receiving damages when trying to land. Through the agreement of the ark captains, they made Tarsonis III the capitol world. The other three spread out, one establishing colonies at Tyrador VIII and Tyrador IX, another at Korhal IV, and the last at Antiga Prime.

The first two centuries had seen the colonies prosper. Numerous colonies were set up in different worlds, while mines and farms were set up. But soon the UN sanctioned government, a colonial council, was transformed into an oppressive and corrupt government which is composed of heads of the families of the ark captains. The next three decades saw oppression done by these Old Families, who enforced their will upon the colonists, which led to implementing unfair taxes on both the middle and lower classes. Those who opposed the Old Families are sent to manual labor camps, where there are the barest of necessities and gruesome, overworking and laboring conditions led to the deaths of millions. Then, suddenly, a few select group of members of the Old Families, having had enough of their oppression and the only ones even horrified by, orchestrated and launched a military coup d'etat that saw the overthrow of the Old Families, who were imprisoned for their actions.

After the coup, they abolished the council and, with the consent of the people, appointed a military officer to lead the government and reforms. Across the decades, the oppressive laws and harsh measures were repealed, corrupt governors were replaced, and the military high command has been purged of those who reaped from the successes of the people. At the same time, the cutting of wages, the government seizure of labor unions and public works of spending, the levying of taxes from extreme to moderate, and the adoption and implementation of the autarky economic policy led to the reduction of unemployment and the recovery of the economy. But it was the large scale military spending that saved the colonies from economic collapse.

A referendum, the first and only kind, had the military dictatorship dissolved and brought the colonial council. In an unexpected landslide, the people had placed their faith on the government that led them through reconstruction and recovery. This led to the adoption of the military dictatorship, which is led by a Grand Marshal, an elective position and military office that allows full control over the government. As a result, the colonies soon transformed into the Commonwealth of Tarsonis. The militaristic yet neutral Commonwealth of Tarsonis sent colonists to establish new colonies around its borders and adopted a mandatory/compulsory military service, which calls for conscription. And now, it remains to be seen how the Commonwealth of Tarsonis would stir its path and its place in the galaxy.
Unique Technologies: Power armor: The power armor are bulky combat exoskeletons created for the Commonwealth Marine Corps. It is only used by Commonwealth marines.
Projectile-based weaponry - The Commonwealth of Tarsonis is known for its usage of mass drivers, electromagnetic launchers that can launch projectiles. As a result, the Commonwealth Navy used railguns and autocannons, both of which can hit targets farther than energy-based weaponry.
V/STOL capabilities - The Tarsonian Armed Forces comes equipped with spacecraft capable of V/STOL. This allowed the military to launch fighters, transports, bombers without having to using catapults.
Printing technology - The Commonwealth of Tarsonis is known for its 3D printers, which can allow for construction of military equipment, such as infantry weapons, for the ground forces and marine corps. 3D printers are also used for civilian purposes.

Military Size: 3 billion
Military Description: The Tarsonian Commonwealth Armed Forces, or the Commonwealth Armed Forces, is an all-conscript military force, divided into the Commonwealth Ground Forces, the Commonwealth Marine Corps, and the Commonwealth Navy. The Commonwealth Ground Forces and the Commonwealth Marine Corps are respectively ground warfare and amphibious warfare components of the military in charge of taking the fight to the enemy on the ground and inside warships. The assault legion is the equivalent of the non-militant counterpart, the field army. The Commonwealth Navy is the largest of the three, having 13 naval fleets, or strike forces, dispersed into sectors, where they are divided into flotillas that guard Commonwealth star systems.

I'll host a cell.

I don't know, convincing hive mind drones to stop being part of the hive is probably outside the realm of possibility for a bunch of lowly humans :P. If there's some aspect of your hive that lets individuals be converted without being immediately found out by the collective, shoot me a TG (as to not spoil it for everyone :))

I could host one as well.

The FRC seems like a good choice for a cell. Bit of war weariness, libertarian ideas and all that will probably make it a good target.

I'll send you some more specific questions on culture, standard of living etc.

Sorry for the two day wait guys.

NS Name: Orostan
Nation Name: The Republic of Labor
Flag: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/ ... ag.svg.png
Capital: Tiebrea

population size: 350 Billion
Primary species:

Arah:

Arthropods that superficially resemble a praying mantis, with eight limbs instead of the six on a mantis. Four of these are legs on the abdomen which are used to move around, four of which are arms on the thorax. Instead of claws, these arms terminate into ‘hands’ which have six ‘fingers’ with grasping pads at the end each. One is equivalent to a thumb. The arms are long enough to touch the base of opposite arms on the other side of the body. Because of this, they are often held close to the body to be compact. The arms have three segments, as a praying mantis does. The upper arms have vestigial spines on them, rough and incapable of doing much harm. Their heads have large compound eyes which allow for nearly 360 degree vision. However, their vision is only good within the front 180 degrees of sight. The individual eyes are no larger than the eyes on an insect, and because of this they have extremely high ‘resolution’. Their eyes come in different colors, usually based on he color of their outer skeleton. However, they also posses an endoskeleton in addition to an exoskeleton. The interior skeleton is not enough to support the creatures alone, and is less dense. It’s function is to give structure and protection to the internal organs and to help provide support in the legs. It also helps provide leg bracing and some brain protection.

The thorax is held higher than that of a praying mantis, and the abdomen is shorter and fatter. The thorax is at a rough 45 degree angle with the floor, and the abdomen which houses the internal organs serves as a weight to keep the seemingly unbalanced creature balanced. When at rest, the rear of the abdomen is on the floor and the rear legs are folded. The front legs keep the balance.

They stand at about 4 feet tall, and their two antennae add another foot if counted. While having heads only a little smaller than a human of equivalent size, they have equal intelligence to any adult human thanks to their dispersed nervous system. Should their head be cut off, they will still be able to move and reason, just not as much as before. Their wings on the abdomen are vestigial, and the interior of them is brightly colored and patterned. A rare genetic mutation gives some of them wings which can be used for flight. This flight is very hard to maintain.

Language is formed via clicks and mouth sounds, and is written in a script developed from pictographs.

Culture:

The dominant and only signifcanf religion based on the worship of tools. Their evolutionary history of being ambush preadators meant that the development of tools allowed them to attack prey directly instead of waiting for them, hence why their spines and wings are now vestigial. High quality and efficiency manufacturing is considered an act of worship, and well made starships and buildings are considered places of worship along with factories and industrial sites. Wars have been fought in the past partly due to disputes over the quality of resources and devices.

Makes and females exist in roughly equal numbers. Children generally care for themselves and are fed and housed in large complexes. Parents act as advisors to children. Childhood lasts for around 16 years and takes between 10-15 molts. Members of the species generally live for 110 years.

The media routinley publishes detailed statistics and reports on the various going-ons of society, and then their analysis. The education system is based on producing beings which can fully understand society.

Conflicts which cannot be resolved by the complex but well structured legal system are resolved via some form of competition.

Nation History:

The Republic of Labor was the product of a seventy year civil war during which the Arah existed in a WWI to an early Cold Warlevel of technology. The fighting was constant, and Tiebra still bears the damage of this civil war. The planet still bears the scars of this war, which include multiple nuclear bomb damaged areas. The Republic of Labor was created when a revolt took over a particularly large industrial country and proceeded to declare wars of liberation against its neighbors. Multiple Arah nations fought against the RL, and the entire world chose a side during the long conflict. This conflict is referred to as “The War” in Arah society. After and during it the RL was technically a union of countries united in a strong, centrallized government which allows and guarantees a large degree of autonomy to member states. The first space flight missions were military intelligence missions, and the first crewed missions swiftly turned into the first space battles. The first warship ever fielded was a space capsule with a machine gun mounted on the side.

Because of the war, the government is highly aggressive in its expansion and while criticism is encouraged and tolerated, any organizations which oppose the institution of the RL are targeted and destroyed. Individual members less so. The government despite its authoritarian tendencies is democratic and has a collective head of state and government. The economy has been democratized and has been since the start of the RL. The church, in this way, is also under democratic control. The economy is planned by elected council with the aid of computers.

Unique Technologies:

-Black hole driven interstellar drives. Microscopic black holes are projected in front of starships to pull them forward in space. The engines are nonfunctional close to planets and other large gravity wells. Interstellar gas and dust is sucked into the engine, and enough of it can cause the engines to emit large amounts of radiation and to suffer mechanical failure. Due to the engines sucking in all of the gas and dust near ships, the commonly traveled star lanes between systems are devoid of much material and even new ships start to look worn soon.

-Interstellar projectiles. A large mass equipped with an interstellar engine with the deceleration feature disabled. They accelerate to extremely fast FTL speeds and are launched at enemy targets from across space. Faster than light communications networks and monitor probes are the best method of detecting these weapons. Even a large-ish asteroid placed in front of the weapon can knock it off course or cause an engine shut down.

Military Size: 12 Billion
Military Description: Army relies on infantry drones and Arah controlled mech units. Arah seldom expose themselves. The Navy is based around protecting and supporting large warships and outmanuvering enemies in orbit. A standard offensive formation is a inverted pyramid of ships with no base, the point of which faces away from the enemy fleet, and all Arah ships point away from the point of the pyramid. Another is two walls of ships, lighter in front of heavier and well spaced out. The most common defensive formation is a sphere.

Denied Apps

Novaya Equestria - Besides the current limit on Human nations, this is plainly just the Confederacy from Starcraft. Please make a more original app in the future.

Arkeyana - This map is way to overpowered with it's technology. Plus, I would like to keep things native to the Milky Way.

Aight, I'll go shake the hat for another idea.

Will any nations have prior trade or know one another prior to the rp start, with the obvious exceptions of course?

Considering plenty of apps have their nations discovering FTL centuries or even milenia ago, I think it safe to assume a decent amount of them have at least met already.
