Alexander Nevsky Capital Airport (IATA: ANN, ICAO: ENNQ) is the biggest airport in the city of Veliky Novgorod, hub for Tsaritsa Airways and one of the main tourism and trading centres in Independent State of Novgorod. Consisting of three terminals, Alexander Nevsky Capital services both regional flights from Novgorodian cities and international flights from around the globe. Capital Airport is controlled by Novgorodian Airport Authority (NAA) with a sizeable governmental supervision.

Built with a stunning design, current modern exterior and interior of Alexander Nevsky is recently new - the airport began its renovation in 2009, as it continues to this day. The first and second terminals were finished in 2015, third in 2017 and airport systems are having an overhaul, due to finish in 2019. Even with that, hundreds of thousands of passengers pass through this airport every day, non-stop.

Alexander Nevsky Capital Airport is constantly improving its performance, getting bigger and better every year passed. Visited by Knyaz-protector of Novgorodian Crown in 2017, it is a blooming gateway to the world. Where will it take you?

Three terminals are districted, gates divided not between airlines, but between destinations and continents, regional and international. This is a key point to efficiency of Novgorod, both the airport and the city - we divide, rule.

Image
Terminal A is generally used for domestic (regional, transregional and national) flights. It is solely operated by Tsaritsa Airways. It is equipped with two stations of underground train, interval between trains is approximately 15 minutes. The gates are generally unitary, A1 to A41.

A1 to A41 - Tsaritsa Airways, various Novgorodian destinations.

Image
Terminal B is generally used for international (transnational, continental, transcontinental and intercontinental) flights within this universe. It is solely operated by Tsaritsa Airways with space reserved to it's subsidiaries and codeshare partners. The gates are B1 to B45 (21 gates are occupied by Tsaritsa).

B1 to B45 - Tsaritsa Airways, various international services, including multiverse flights.

Image
Terminal C is generally used both for international and regional (mainly foreign) flights. It is operated (for a small part) by Tsaritsa, with a lot of empty space for airlines. Exceptional duty free is There are six stations of underground train throughout the terminal, each served by everchanging trains. Intervals between trains are approximately ten minutes. The gates are C1 to C60.

C1 to C60 - Tsaritsa Airways, international flights to Asia.
C61 - Royal Brazilian (RB), from New Frontier.
C62 - Royal Air (RA), from Princetown.

Being a transcontinental hub is not easy, but Alexander Nevsky Capital has certain features which make traveling through it easy and enjoyable.

Efficient check-in
Image
When arriving to the airport, you may expect large queues at the check-in counters, and sometimes that is true. But don't worry, your check-in may happen almost instantly.
With specific airlines, list of which can be found on our information page, you can use self check-in with our polished, fast check-in devices.

  • Walk to the free device and engage with it by touching the screen. Find your airline and your flight. The QR reading window will illuminate, and you will need to present the scanning code of your passport.
  • If you are flying to specific countries, including countries with visa restrictions and countries with extra security procedures, you may need to present your visa and other permitting documents.
  • Confirm the data of your ticket, select a seat if any is available and press "exit". A green light will illuminate if the check-in procedure went on well and your printed boarding pass will appear from the illuminated window. You may now go on to the passport control.

Passport control
Passport control in Alexander Nevsky Capital is set in two different ways, each swift and expeditive. Choose the one appropriate for your cause.

Manual passport control
Image
After checking in, or after exiting the jetway, follow the signs towards the manual passport control counters, which are located at three points within the main building. Before coming to them, be sure to have your passport, visa, any type of permit document and boarding pass with you. If noted, security may take you on an additional passport control. Ask the airport worker if you need help in passing the control.

  • Remove cover not included with the passport, so that the identification process would take less time. Also remove any needed documents from their files.
  • Walk to the free counter, which is usually visible by a green light emitting from the indicator.
  • Give the documents to the airport security worker and, if needed, look into the camera for iris identification, face identification or both.
  • Pass through the gate, which will open after the check is done. You may now go through the screening procedures along the halls.

Automated passport control
Image
After checking in, or after exiting the jetway, follow the signs to the automated passport control. We would like to remind you that automated passport control is available solely to holders of Veliky Novgorod visiter card, Veliky Novgorod resident card and Novgorodian passport. If you are a foreign, you can apply for these documents (excluding Novgorodian passport) at the Bureau of State, or online at the Bureau's website. If you are a Novgorodian, you receive these cards after confirming your journey to Veliky Novgorod, or if you are living in Veliky Novgorod.

  • Walk inside the available gate and press the screen to begin. You must have aforementioned identification documents with yourself.
  • Present the scanning device your passport, visitor or resident card and your boarding pass. In certain cases, only your passport and the boarding pass may be needed. Look into the camera for iris identification, face identification or both.
  • Pass through the open gate. Do not forget your documents.

Internal transportation
Image
Alexander Nevsky Airport is huge, as any international airport can be, and it may occur to you that getting to your destination within the building is tiring. Although right for any other airport, it is surely wrong for Capital Airport.
Every passenger starts from the Main Building, first frontier from the airport zone. Although the main building is separated from the terminals with an apron, it is connected to them with underground train system and walkways. Introduce yourself to them.

  • To pass within the train system, present the turnstile scanner with QR code on your boarding pass and, for specific destinations, your passport/visa, and walk through. Your gate terminal is written onto your pass - just check the electronic board for the train needed and wait. Trains return to central station every 10 minutes, so you wouldn't have to walk if you had missed your ride.
  • If you do wish to walk, besides the central station is a walking ways starting point. As with the train station, present the turnstile scanner with QR code on your boarding pass and, for specific destinations, your passport/visa, and walk through. Informative board will help you find the way you need, and the moving walkway will help you reach your gate in no time.

External transportation
Alexander Nevsky Airport is equipped with a public transport station, both metro, tram, bus and taxi. A chauffeur service or a premium shuttle service is presented for premium travellers, Exalted class passengers of Tsaritsa Airways and specified codeshare partners.

ImageImage

  • You can apply for chauffeur or shuttle service online, when buying a ticket, or offline, when booking a seat at the airline desk. Please note that chauffeur service is available only within the area of Alexander Nevsky Airport and Veliky Novgorod.
  • Be sure to specify when you are leaving, from where are you going to the airport and number of your luggage.
  • Enjoy your ride to the airport. You can also book direct transfer to the airplane, but that requires security check 24 hours before the flight.

  • The metro station, taxi station and bus station are all integrated into one bloc, located nearby the main building.
  • When going by metro don't leave your belongings and luggage unattended and buy the ticket within the booth. You may also pay for your luggage to be delivered within the cargo section of a train.
  • When going by taxi use only state-verified taxi-services or online services with a good reputation. Be sure to specify the quantity of your luggage, as the taxi-service may occur to have limited cargo capacity.
  • When going by bus remember to buy the ticket and don’t leave your belongings and luggage unattended. You may need to pay the fee to carry your luggage, as space within the bus is limited.
