Most Kiravians follow Christianity (primarily Roman Catholic, Coscivian Orthodox, or Insular Apostolic), one of the Coscivian monotheistic religions, or some combination of both. According to the last census, 65% of Kiravians report Christianity as their sole or primary religion, and an additional 15% reported a Coscivian religion as their sole or primary religion.

The next largest religion is Islam, followed by about 5% of the population. Kiravian Muslims are mostly Shi'a (Rumeli, Twelver, Ismaili, or Alawite) or Maliki Sunni, though there are visible Hanafi Sunni and Ibadhi communities as well.

The remaining 15% of the population is mostly made up of deists/irreligious theists, Sikhs, Bahá'ís, Mandaeans, and Manichæans.

Gandoorese society in the modern day is highly secular and non-religious and this is reflected in the religious makeup of our population.

68.5% of the population have no religious affiliation (care should be taken as this lumps together atheists, agnostics, deists, followers of non-organized Shinto, and followers of non-organized native religions)

11.4% follow Buddhism, the largest individual religion

9.6% follow Shinto, mostly among the Japanese-Gandoorese population.

5.9% follow native religions

1.3% follow Christianity, predominantly Protestant or Eastern Orthodox

3.5% follow other religious beliefs

About 75% profess to be registered members of a the Harmonist faith.

Of that percentage 61% are part of the Roman Harmonist Church, 34% are part of the Reformed Northern Harmonist Church, and 3% are part of other cults and sects of Harmonism, such as Eastern, Greek, Slavonic, and 2% percent are part of the Arab sects.

The rest are irreligious or do not wish to be part of a specific church sect, holding some pan-harmonist beliefs or none at all, simply refusing to worship the gods of Harmony. Some belong to more secret cults devoted a specific god or goddess.

Lillorainen has not only a complicated ethnic makeup, but also a complicated religious one.
About 40% of all citizens of the Federation follow Norse paganism.
Abrahamic religions, all three Christianity (Roman Catholic, Hungarian Greek Catholic, Protestant, Eastern Orthodox), Islam (Sunni) and Judaism, make up 5% together.
Another 5% follows paganism of non-Nordic origin, or a cult.
About 50% are atheist/agnostic.
The government itself is secularized.

These statistics are based on an estimation, following data of the early 2000s. A religious survey did not exist in the last census in 2010. Thus, these data are not necessarily true anymore, but they should give a rough impression.

Since Lillorainen's geography is currently being overhauled a 'tiny' bit, most information on it posted before December 12, 2018, is not entirely reliable anymore. Until there's a new, proper factfile, everything you might need to know can be found here. Thank you. #RetconOfDoom (Very late update, 2020/08/30 - it's still going on ...)

    Christianity: 98%
      Protestant: 97%
      Catholic: 2%
      Orthodox: 1%
    Judaism: 3%
    Atheist: 1%
    Other: 1%

Christianity is the most pervasive religion in Great Nortend as of the latest census. The established church is the Church of Nortend, which declares itself to be both protestant and catholic in its practice. A conservative estimate that 95 per cent of the population are parishioners of the Church of Nortend.

A number of 'cults' are banned, including the Cult of Mohammed (Islam) and the Cult of Scientology.

Atheism is not a very great movement in Great Nortend, with around 1 per cent of the population indicating a belief in no god whatsoever. A further 1 per cent hold religious beliefs outside of Christianity or Judaism, such as Hinduism and other Oriental religions, or otherwise have no religious affiliation but still believe in a god or gods.
