Chapter 1
Before the awakening , there was nothing. No light, No space, No time, and No form. Immense spiritual beings, The Gods, slumbered in the nothing. In that timeless state they remained for an eternity and and only an instant all at once. What woke The Gods is unknown to any among their own ranks.
Heralded by the birth of the first star, The Gods would soon meet to discuss the fate of this world.
Chapter 2
Following the first events of the dawn, reality is becoming more fixed and solidified. Mortals begin to proliferate from their earlier stock, and gods that know not of the world before creation, secundus , appear slowly.
Unique mechanics: In this era it costs significantly more to create anything from scratch, the general shape of the world may shift a bit but it's becoming more or less set. The mortals show the strange ability to extend the range of a God's power through extensive and sustained worship ( long periods of time and large numbers of participants), furthermore mortals seem to have some innate resistance to direct control by a God, while they can be influenced and extorted, they do seem to posses a free will. And, as the mortals begin to perish a strange new plain that abides very different rules than the material or untime planes begins to take shape.

Welcome! This is a brand new Deity based RP as I am sure you’ve gathered from the name of this thread. But what exactly does a Deity RP entail? And how will this one be similar or different from those that preceded it? As a God, you will have immense power which can be used to create, destroy, and influence the world. You are also immortal and invincible, while you cannot truly die, you could be rendered into a near catatonic state in severe circumstances. So let’s get a couple base rules out of the way while we are here.
Basic RP Rules:
-Be respectful of your fellow RPers
- try not to hold grudges in real life for in character actions
- no meta gaming ( cheating, or using info you shouldn’t know to act)
- try to keep OOC and IC separated so we don’t have massive ooc discussions clogging the IC thread
- As a summary, just be courteous of your fellow RPers and focus on making a fun. And engaging story rather than mucking it up for everyone else.
Game Rules
Now this is what’s very very important to grasp, as it’s what sets us apart from previous Deity RPs and is essential to participating in this.
All Players have a large, but set amount of power. This power is a little bit up to interpretation but essentially the ‘cost’ of creating something with your power is in proportion to how complex the thing is, how big it is, and how fast you are trying to do it. So for example creating life and creating something very large would be similar in cost.
For ease of use all players start with 100% power, which can be split however you’d like. A series of less powerful Gods , or even a choir of angelic beings is well within possibility. Just don’t exceed your allotted power amount.
Another mechanic I will use in this game is competitive creation. You have a domain because you place parts of your power mantle into it’s existence, which allows for multiple players to have partial control over a specific thing, should they want to.
The more of your power that is placed in creation, the less physical form you have. A player who used 100% of their power will be in said nearly catatonic state, with very wide influence (able to call powerful storms from afar, but unable to create a simple protection on it’s temple.) think of it like a sliding scale between very concentrated and very wide power.
No God works alone, the power you have is not enough to create everything, you’ll need to cooperate and make decisions about what in your domain is most important to you.
If three quarters of the active gods agree on it, The can preform a Null. A Null removes something from creation over a period of time and returns it to divine power and space dust.
We will maintain a map, to be placed here when applicable. If you have specific designs and ideas, send them in image form to be incorporated.
These rules are up to be changed, and each chapter will have a unique take on how they are used.
Applications
These applications don’t just serve as an entry, think of them a bit like a character sheet, they can adapt and change as the game goes on. For example, the domain section should begin at 100% divine power as nothing has been created by you yet(it seems people have not been understanding this part. If you do please write the number thirteen in numerical form at the bottom of your app), but as the game goes on that will be changed.
If you have multiple characters, say how much of your divine power is vested in each.
