STARTING ELEVEN

GK - Marc DE BRASSAÏ • #2 • 30 years old • Image Force Olloix
An athletic yet efficient and reliable goalkeeper, de Brassaï is known in particular for his positional sense, acrobatic saves, and shot-stopping abilities; however, despite his reputation propelling him to the status of first-choice goalkeeper for the Free Union, he has also been heavily criticized for rash tackles and challenges. In his prime, de Brassaï is recognised for being quick to rush off his line and at getting to ground, and for his handling, aerial ability, and command of the area, as well as his reliable distribution, footwork, and ball skills, which often lead him to take on defenders. De Brassaï owes his power, explosiveness, speed and mobility to his call up to Force Olloix's first team two seasons ago, he has continued to excel at the highest level due to the consistency of his performances, as well as his positioning, decision-making, and his ability to read the game and organise his defense. In addition to his goalkeeping abilities, de Brassaï has been singled out for his positivity, and has been described as "a key dressing room personality", leading to his appointment as team captain following the departure of Titus Blackett. He has been described as "an agile, strong, and commanding shot-stopper, who is hugely experienced at the highest level" and "an accomplished and well respected keeper" with "an excellent positional sense, courage, charisma, power, and class." de Brassaï has also been praised for his athleticism, his acrobatic dives, and his quick reflexes, despite being a large, imposing keeper.

LB - Paul ALTHUSSE • #13 • 28 years old • Image Olympic East
Althusse is a strong player who excels in the air, making him a goal threat on set-pieces, and he is usually a competent, albeit aggressive tackler. He is gifted with pace, good technical ability, as well as good distribution, passing, and crossing ability. A physically strong and tenacious defender, he is known for his aggressive challenges and for his violent behaviour on the pitch, an element of his playing style that has been widely criticized. Althusse has been described as having a good work ethic and the ability to carry the ball and retain possession for the team. He has been praised for having a good passing range. This aspect of his game has shown improvement since his debut season, when he began to favor simpler passes over more ambitious ones, and his relatively high pass completion rate can be attributed to this change. Althusse's passes have often proved to be crucial; in the past he has led the way in his team's assists. Early in his career, Althusse mainly played a offensive role, leading to a number of assists, and even goals. As his career has progressed, he has begun to incorporate a more defensive approach to his play, with his role shifting to being mainly based on tackling and tracking back to shield the defence, before the 18 year old eventually abandoned the midfield and cemented his spot in the back line. His violent playing style lead him to set the record for the most red cards received by a single player in one Union League One season, earning himself 8 in 29 games for Force Olloix before he transferred to Olympic East.

CB - Pierre PAULOIS • #3 • 27 years old • Image Force Olloix
Paulois is a large, consistent, and physically strong player, known for his powerful tackling and strength in the air, as well as his ability to read the game and intercept loose balls. A technically gifted and tactically versatile central defender, he is also capable of playing as a defensive midfielder. At 1.95 m (6 ft 4 in) and, Paulois is commanding in the air but he is also sound in defending on the ground. He often uses his strength to shrug opponents off the ball and his standing tackling ability to win balls. Despite his strength and power, he is regarded as a clean player, as he is rarely booked. Paulois is known for his concentration, strength, anticipation, positioning and aerial ability, which made him particularly adept at defending crosses or scoring with his head from set-pieces, partially due to his height. He showed himself as a dynamic, consistent, and tenacious defender throughout his blooming career, and also excels as a man marker and at performing tackles. Despite being a defender, Paulois is noted for his technical ability and distribution, and occasionally, for his finishing prowess, and strength with his head. In addition to his technical and physical ability, Paulois also possesses an excellent positional sense and an acute tactical ability to read the game, and he excels at tightly marking opposing players, as well as at preventing and anticipating attacking plays. He is also an accurate and tenacious tackler. Excellent in the air, Paulois is also unusually quick for a centreback.

CB - Louis MAÇON • #4 • 27 years old • Image Force Olloix
Maçon is an extremely dominant, consistent, athletic, and attentive footballer. As a defender, he is known for his strength, pace, stamina and his outstanding physical, tactical, and technical attributes, as well as his ability to read the game, his heavy marking of opponents, and his aggressive tackling. A powerful and versatile player, Maçon is a natural centre-back who is equally competent offensively as he is defensively, and can play on either flank, often alternating between playing as a right-back or as a centre-back, and was even deployed in midfield on occasion. He has remained a dynamic, consistent, and tenacious defender throughout his short career, and also excels in the man-to-man marking system and at making tackles. Although he predominantly excels as a centreback, due to his ability to read the game, he was also deployed as a right or left sided fullback on occasion, in particular under Force Olloix coach Pierre Leroi during the latter half of his debut season. Maçon is known for his concentration, strength, anticipation, positioning and aerial ability, which made him particularly adept at defending crosses, or scoring with his head from set-pieces, aided by is relatively large build, even for a defender. Maçon began his career as a left-back, but made his name as an aggressive, physical, and hard-tackling centre back, with a penchant for scoring headers from set-pieces, due to his aerial prowess and strength. A versatile defender, he is capable of playing both in a three or four-man defence.

RB - Dimitri PÉGUY • #5 • 26 years old • Image Force Olloix
Péguy began his youth career as a right offensive winger, but was later moved back into mid-field and thereafter the defensive line, where he became a tactically intelligent and versatile player, who was efficient anywhere in midfield or in defense. Although capable of playing anywhere along the backline, he primarily excelled on either flank, where he combined his defensive attributes and his ability to read the game with his excellent vision, technique, and ball distribution skills, even able to start attacking plays on occasion. Péguy has been recognized as a complete defender by his peers and critics. He has been described as a consistent defender, with flaws few and far between, as well as someone who can lead a defensive line despite his irregularly young age. Péguy is heralded as one of the fastest defenders in Acronian football, and has been described as a strong defender with good aerial ability. He combines these physical gifts with a phenomenal tactical intelligence and knowledge of the game, as well as an excellent positional sense. Thanks to his abilities, he excels at reading and anticipating plays and is excellent at closing down opposing players in possession of the ball. Hailed as the forefront of the new breed of defenders — composed in possession, able to create chances for his team from the back — Péguy is a defender who has been nationally praised after just one season in professional Acronian football.

LM - Antoine LE KERVELEC • #7 • 29 years old • Image Rosaria United
Le Kervelec is a quick, tricky and talented winger who is also capable of playing as a more central attacking midfielder or on either side of the pitch, although he is predominantly a right-footed player. In recent years, he has even been deployed to great effect as a central midfielder, in particular under Louis Jeandidier's tenure with Azemont Champions FC. Le Kervelec is an agile, creative and highly technical player who possesses excellent dribbling skills and ball control, as well as great pace, stamina and acceleration, attributes which allow him to beat players easily in one-on-one situations. He is also gifted with excellent vision, passing and crossing ability, which allow him to function effectively as a playmaker and as an assist provider, although he is also capable of scoring goals himself. Despite not being physically imposing, he is also a very hard-working player, and further improved on the defensive aspect of his game throughout his youth career. Playing on the left also allows Le Kervelec to use his "bursts of acceleration and weaving runs" to effectively cut inside, which gives him the options of either shooting or delivering a decisive pass. Inside Acronius, Le Kervelec is well known for his blistering pace, with Azemont Champions FC defender and fellow international Rémi Lefebvre declaring that "you would need a pistol to stop him." In addition to his speed, Le Kervelec also possesses good balance, movement and technique.

CM - Marin TRÉSOR • #6 • 28 years old • Image Emerald City Harmony
A complete, consistent, hardworking and versatile midfielder, Trésor is regarded as one of the best holding midfielders of his emerging generation, and is effective both creatively and defensively. Gifted with good technique, excellent vision, and varied passing range, he excels in the deep-lying playmaking role, where he can best use his accurate long passing ability to create goal scoring chances for team-mates; he also possesses a powerful and accurate shot from distance, and he is an effective set-piece and penalty kick taker. Due to his height, positioning, and physical characteristics, Marin Trésor is also effective in the air, often contributing with headed goals from set pieces when advancing into more offensive positions. In addition to his creative attributes, he is also capable of excelling as a defensive midfielder due to his strength and powerful physique, combined with his tenacity, tactical intelligence, aggressive tackling and his ability to read the game. These attributes, in addition to his pace, strength, pressing ability, and stamina, allow him to effectively link the defense, the midfield, and as a result, the attack. Though playable to a certain extent further up front, Trésor found the bulk of his quick success in Force Olloix's defensive line - his standout performance with Olloix's defense in his debut season resulted in the team conceding a mere thirteen goals in 30 Acronian Legends League games. The achievement prompted former manager Henry Coyle to single him out as a potential future captain of the national team.

CM - Ryan CHIMNEYS • #16 • 28 years old • Image Lionsgate National FC
A technically and creatively gifted player, Chimneys is a versatile midfielder who primarily plays in a playmaking role, and can additionally play on either the left or right flank. Gifted with good composure on the ball as well as disciplined decision making and passing, Chimneys is an agile player who tends to roam around the opponents' defense looking for an intelligent and creative pass or through ball. He has great attacking play both on and off the ball, and also has substantial attacking positioning which allows him to have one of the best eyes for goal. Perhaps his best qualities are his agility, pace, creativity, positioning during attack and the ability to pick out a key pass. He also possesses outstanding pace and is more than capable of attacking and scoring goals himself. Chimneys primarily plays as either an attacking midfielder or a winger and was once credited as being "possibly the outstanding talent in Acronian youth football". Under former manager Louis Jeandidier at Azemont Champions FC, Chimneys often played in the latter role in the team's 4–3–3 formation and regularly switched flanks because he could use both feet and also because of his aptitude in passing and crossing. Two of Chimneys' most common exemplary traits are his pace and technical ability, which have been described as "astonishing" and "mesmerizing", respectively. Chimneys' pace coupled with his finishing and inability to be dispossessed easily led his former manager Henry Coyle to dub him 'the Machine'.

RM - Shin KRA • #17 • 21 years old • Image Stade Défense
Kra is generally deployed as a forward, more often towards the center than on the wing, and takes a more attacking role than a typical midfielder. A quick, powerful, energetic, and agile player, he possesses good ball control and dribbling skills, which, coupled with his short, fast bursts of pace and sudden changes of direction, lead him to be considered a very direct player. Playing from the right allows him to cut in onto his favored left foot to shoot. In Stade Défense's 4-4-1-1, he is fielded as a central attacking midfielder, but national manager Massimiliano Abdullahi opted to play him as a lateral attacking midfielder in order to maximize on his wing-play ability. A technically gifted player, he was initially deployed as a winger on either flank early in his career, due to his dribbling ability, agility, acceleration, and balance, which aid him in beating players in one on one situations. He is capable of playing anywhere in midfield, however, and has more recently been deployed as a central midfielder, as a wing-back, or as a defensive midfielder. Kra's appointment to not only the national team, but onto its starting eleven came as a surprise to many, as the mere 19 year-old spent the entirety of the last season as a substitute for Stade Défense, though he quickly evolved into a reliable "super-sub"-type player throughout the course of the season. He has not made a single cap for the national team before, and has only played two full games on a club level.

CF - Guillaume FONTANILS • #9 • 22 years old • Image Bunyoro RSC
A versatile forward, Fontanils is capable of playing as a striker and also as a supporting forward, courtesy of his ability both to score and create goals. Due to his vision, his ability to read the game, and his short passing ability, Fontanils is capable of playing off another striker, in a deeper, creative role, where he serves as an assist provider. He also possesses good technical ability and upper body strength, which allows him to retain possession in the box when playing with his back to goal, and lay off the ball for his teammates. As a centre-forward, he is also very effective and extremely prolific, due to his accurate finishing, opportunism in the area, intelligence, and his ability in the air. Fontanils is known for being an unusual center forward, being weak in the air despite his tall snd muscular frame, but shows a surprising control of the ball, especially featuring a polished back-to-the-goal game, good link-up play, and a touch for scoring with his hard right-footed shot – always doing the most intelligent and simple things on the field, courtesy of his awareness.

CF - David PASCALE • #10 • 26 years old • Image Whitehaven Triumph
Pascale is a creative, energetic forward who combines technical skill with strength and physicality, while also excelling in the air despite his lack of height. He is a versatile attacker, capable of playing anywhere along the front line: although his preferred role is as a striker, he has also been used as a supporting forward, or even as a winger. A prolific goalscorer, Pascale is a powerful striker of the ball and an accurate finisher, who is capable of scoring goals both inside and outside the penalty area, as well as from volleys. In addition to his offensive attributes, he has been praised for his work-rate and stamina by players, managers and the media, and is highly regarded for his dedication and willingness to press opponents when possession has been lost in order to win back the ball and start attacking plays. Pascale made debut in Acronian professional football in the Acronian League Two with Stade Défense, pioneering the failing team to the top spot in the league and clinching promotion to the Acronian League One. A quick, modern, and versatile left-footed forward, with an eye for goal, Pascale has been described as a "team player", and is capable of occupying several offensive positions in or behind the main attacking line, due to his technical skills, ability to drop deep and link-up play between the forwards and midfielders, or score many goals with both feet as well as his head: he has been deployed as a main striker, in a central role as an attacking midfielder, or as a winger, on either flank.

STAFF:
Manager: Kadell Stevens, 50
And so it begins, the new era. Again. New SFA President Marc Lygaard took his time before carefully hand-picking the man to take Semarland forward after these seven years of...nothingness. It's former FC Nuholm manager Kadell Stevens who faces this task, and it's arguably quite an exciting appointment. One of the youngest managers in LigAnaia before returning to the pre-break Premarligaen, Stevens led a young, dynamic and exciting FC Nuholm side, gaining a reputation for nurturing some of the best youngsters in the country. It was a big blow for the club as they lost arguably the greatest manager in their history but a huge gain for the whole country as they look to regain their reputation on the international scene. And they made a good start to this new horizon, making it to the quarter finals of the AOCAF before exiting to Starblaydia on penalties. He also has a reputation for developing coaches as well as youngsters, with associates taking other clubs on the rise in domestic football. Usually a quiet and reserved figure on the touchline, he does have a penchant for the exuberant celebration or two when things are going his way, but never gets ahead of himself.

Assistant manager: Peder Clarke, 58
Formerly the first team coach at FC Nuholm before Kadell Stevens' arrrival, the latter took a liking to him and named him his new deputy. A robust central midfielder in his playing days, Clarke has good knowledge of the international stage having represented Semarland 25 times before they entered the multiversal stage. He's not as a high profile figure as Stevens but his work is certainly vital. It could be said Stevens couldn't work without Clarke and vice versa, and the somewhat unlikely duo were amongst the more highly-sought after members of coaching in staff in Semarland before the "gap".

First team coaches: Mats Axelberg, 46 and Jermaine Latibeaudiere, 43
The Nuholm connection continues with 46 year old Mats Axelberg, himself a former youth team player before working his way up the coaching ranks into Kadell Stevens' regime. Amongst his most trusted allies, Axelberg follows him into the national team and brings yet another fresh outlook on coaching the country's talent. Jermaine Latibeaudiere is a more familiar face in the national team, having been personally retained by Stevens. The former Krsthaven prodigy first joined the national team staff way back in World Cup 74 so definitely has the experience despite being the youngest member of the main coaching staff. Having survived the previous two reigns of Andreas Jansen and Azarai Robinson he will no doubt he hoping this third tenure under Stevens will be third time lucky, for him and the nation.

Speciality coaches: Martin Datheim, 58 (Goalkeeping), Jakob Lunds, 40 (Defensive), Jamal Martinsson, 45 (Tactical), Demba Cisse, 43 (Technical), Jakob Lindesfarne, 40 (Attacking)
We're not sure what's more of a surprise - Kadell Stevens not bringing in anyone from his old team or the fact how old some of our former stars have got! Goalkeeping coach Martin Datheim, formerly of Krsthaven & WC69 fame is coming up to 60 whilst former national team captain Jakob Lunds is now 40. Tactical coach Jamal Martinsson has no national team experience playing-wise but certainly a lot coaching-wise. Demba Cisse and Jakob Lindesfarne complete the triumvirate of the former "golden generation" players, the three of them key to Semarland qualifying to the World Cup finals alongside other heroes such as Kwame Nelson. Those three joining the staff were quite a coup but were more than willing to lend their help as we find our feet again. No doubt they'll all pursue roles at other clubs, perhaps after this tournament or the next WC, but for now they're as determined as they were in their playing careers to get the country back to its best.

Other staff:
Fitness coaches: Rasmus Karlsen, 56 (Lead), Frans Larsson, 40 (Fitness), Barezadio Makulenga, 37 (Strength & Conditioning)
Physiotherapists: Dr. Lars Mikkelsen-Schone, 57 (Head), Mats Borg, 59, Segun Akinola, 40
Doctors: Dr. Stefan Tramsø, 64 (Head), Dr. Åke Ulfsson, 56, Dr. Rasmus Pedersson, 36
Psychologists: Erika Larsen, 41, Devontae Mikael Newells, 32, Kofi Kufuor, 37
Performance analysts: Tobias Mikkelsen, 45 (Lead), Blaise Jacobsen, 38, Idris Mbele, 37
Head scout: Karl Sorensen, 57
International scouts: Mikkel Pedersen, 52, Soren Nathanielsen, 58, Clarck Mbala, 40, Matthias Strentsberg, 44
Domestic scouts: Yoann Livimbi, 45, Mark Eriksen, 44, Johan Martinsen, 56, Shakille Saxon, 30
Spokesman: Mikael Stevestad, 61

PLAYERS:
GOALKEEPERS:
#1 - GK - Martin Valbuena - Age 31 - FC Kolberg - 11 caps
#12 - GK - Stephane Claro-Hunt - Age 25 - Krsthaven - 3 caps
#22 - GK - Kwade Thompson - Age 23 - FC Nuholm - 1 cap
For perhaps the first time ever (surprisingly) in a Semar squad, all of the same position are relatives of a former national team player. New number 1 Martin Valbuena needs no introduction. Formerly one of the more promising goalkeepers in Semar football and the younger brother of former no. 1 Marco, he will have been hurt that he missed out these last seven years. Hot on his heels is Stephane Claro-Hunt, aka Claro-Hunt brother no. 4, the son of Devane Claro and former ladies football captain Anna Hunt. Kwade Thompson, meanwhile, is included after an incredibly impressive season at FC Nuholm, the team that conceded the least goals in the league. His grandfather Johan Thompson played for Semarland 40 years ago. Out of the three Claro-Hunt is arguably the most exciting but has to wait a little more for his no. 1 position. Valbuena would've been second choice at club level if he remained at Krsthaven but saw sense and opted to register at FC Kolberg where he impressed this season despite the club's miserable league performance. All three impressed during the AOCAF - Valbuena doing enough to be given the nod as no. 1 but any slipup and Claro-Hunt will surely be between the sticks. Thompson only featured once but had a solid debut, and he will hope he'll be given a chance during qualifying to prove his worth to Kadell Stevens.

DEFENDERS:
#2 - DR - Valentin Modise - Age 30 - Kangemark Sport - 27 caps
#3 - DL - Djair Claro-Hunt - Age 30 - Krsthaven - 41 caps, 2 goals
#4 - DC - Amani Chimbonda - Age 31 - Krsthaven - 67 caps, 4 goals
#5 - DC - Martell Chalobah (c) - Age 34 - FC Nuholm - 90 caps, 5 goals
#13 - DC - Cyril Ansah - Age 26 - FC Jansberg - 6 caps
#19 - DR - Kurtis Ashton-Brown - Age 30 - FC York - Uncapped
#21 - DL - Romelle Mackie-Pierre - Age 28 - Sporting Solsholm - Uncapped
#24 - DC - Kadeem Bailey-Foster - Age 27 - Eikborg Club - 1 cap
This World Cup will be the final time Semar fans will get to see the much loved centre-back partnership of Amani Chimbonda and Martell Chalobah. Chalobah, who captains the side has stated he will retire from international football as soon as Semarland exit the World Cup at whatever stage as he looks to break the 100 caps barrier. Full backs Djair Claro-Hunt and Valentin Modise are into their 30s now but still at their peak and should be around for some more time. Cyril Ansah is 26 now (how time flies!) and is certainly ready to have the baton passed onto him by Chalobah. Kadeem Bailey-Foster is also included in the squad after an impressive season with Eikborg Club - and there are first callups for Romelle Mackie-Pierre and Kurtis Ashton-Brown. The former signed for Sporting Solsholm this season after previously being at Sporting Saint Adrensburg and impressed enough in the league to warrant a callup. Meanwhile, Ashton-Brown, cousin of former strength & conditioning coach Karmelo, has been linked with big money moves to the league's "bigger clubs" after his displays at FC York.

MIDFIELDERS:
#6 - DMC - Dieudonne Labonne - Age 31 - Krsthaven - 10 caps
#7 - MR - Danny Boateng - Age 29 - Sporting Saint Adrensburg - 14 caps, 3 goals
#8 - MC - Marc Strand (vc) - Age 35 - FC Jansberg - 84 caps, 35 goals
#11 - ML - Eric Nti-Bonso - Age 30 - Eikborg Club - 17 caps, 4 goals
#14 - MC - Yohannes Melbourne - Age 29 - Krsthaven - 8 caps, 1 goal
#15 - AMC - Etienne Marshall - Age 26 - FC Nuholm - Uncapped
#17 - MR - Tyae Hamilton - Age 23 - FC Jansberg - Uncapped
#18 - MC - Remaeo Hutton - Age 23 - FC Jansberg - Uncapped
#20 - ML - Marcos Sevenoaks - Age 28 - Sporting Saint Adrensburg - 4 caps, 1 goal
#23 - DMC - Sehun Otudeko - Age 27 - FC Jansberg - 3 caps
#25 - MC - Max Mikkelmarkt - Age 25 - FC Nuholm - Uncapped
A fairly inexperienced midfield overall, but arguably the most impressive area for Semarland this last AOCAF. Vice-captain Marc Strand will also retire upon the end of Semarland's World Cup journey, having been one of the most naturally gifted players the country has ever seen. Anchoring the midfield will be Dieudonne Labonne, who was one of the more quietly impressive players. In between the two will be Yohannes Melbourne, who fans will be heartbroken that he was one of the players who never got to show their true potential to the world. There are several new faces - central midfielder Max Mikkelmarkt who seems to be Tunji Tunde's direct replacement at club level, the incredibly talented Remaeo Hutton of FC Jansberg who can control the midfield with ease, and attacking midfielder Etienne Marshall, who Kadell Stevens developed at FC Nuholm. Eric Nti-Bonso and Danny Boateng will no doubt start on the wings, with Marcos Sevenoaks and another new face in Tyae Hamilton to back them up. Hamilton could arguably one of the most technically gifted players the country has produced - but his attitude problem may get in his way. A surprising omission is that of Rene Claro-Hunt, who decided to retire alongside his twin brother Reiss.

STRIKERS:
#9 - ST - Kwaeome Richards - Age 24 - FC Matovallanen - 3 caps
#10 - ST - Kwame Nelson - Age 32 - FC Jansberg - 61 caps, 58 goals
#16 - ST - Javan Parfitt-Hendricks - Age 25 - Kangemark Sport - Uncapped
Kwame Nelson has put certain troubles behind him and is ready to hit the ground running. He's 32 now, but doesn't look it at all - he hasn't even reached his peak yet. Kwaeome Richards takes the #9 shirt in place of the aforementioned Reiss Claro-Hunt, and he has big shoes to fill. Despite making just three appearances at the AOCAF, he impressed in that handful and it's virtually guaranteed he'll make a move away from the relegated FC Matovallanen onto bigger things. The final new face in the squad is Kangemark Sport's Javan Parfitt-Hendricks, who enjoyed a particularly free scoring season in the Premarligaen with 23 goals to his name. Despite Kwame's backups having not as much experience, they've both been proven to be more than capable at Premarligaen level, and it'll be interesting to see which of the two will end up being the new first choice striker for Semarland.

The Buio'Dzz
Before every match, the team members (including the designated substitutes for the match) will perform a traditional ritual, called the Buio'Dzz on the pitch just before play begins. This is one of the many tribe war dance from the aboriginals of Mapletish, meant to awe their opponents, this is similar to the [RL] New Zealanders' haka before their matches. This would be performed unless the hosts of the match in question object to the ritual.

STAFF
Manager: Kirk Zavier, 39
Kirk Zavier, a confident, young and charismatic youth coach from Home United's famed academy. A multi-sports coach with experience in the Football, Basketball, Rugby and Ice Hockey scene, Zavier might not be the most experienced manager that The Dragons has to offer but this young man has decided to make the leap from club football to national football. At 39, he has already amassed 20 years of sports coaching and management experience starting off from his love of sports statistics and his interest in sports and wellness. He led his elementary school athletics department in just 3 years and his advances led him to lead Secondary School and University athletics departments. He made the switch to Home United's academy and was keen on developing young talents in the different sports departments before embarking on his footballing journey. Already the manager of the U21 team at the Di Bradini Cup, the RFAM has gone ahead to appoint Zavier as the National Team manager as well.

Assistant Manager: Piero Aurelio, 44
Aurelio is no stranger in the Maplish football scene and is also part of an important core of backroom staff that aims to bring Maplish football back to the elite few of the multiverse having dropped out of the rankings after a period of multiverse inactivity as Mapletish struggled to rebuild. Aurelio, a disciplined and quiet man who was known to lead by his actions and was a man with few words. A capable Sports Science and Medicine specialist, all eyes are on how this quiet man can support Kirk Zavier. Having success in the Copa Rushmori is certainly an advantage. Aurelio led the Lions to a 2nd place finish in the 24th Copa Rushmori.

PLAYERS: - Starting Eleven
#1 - GK - Fermin Feldstein - Age 24 - Home United
A talented and young shot stopper, Feldstein stunned everyone in his amazing showing for Home United, as they became the team to have conceded the least in Season 16 of the Primero Liga. Acrobatic, brave and a little eccentric. What can we comment about Zavier's choice of players? Standing at a towering 2.15m, you might have mistaken him to be a heavyweight weightlifter than a footballer, but his goalkeeping skills will surely stun everyone when he's called to action. Back when he's not playing football, he is a handball and hockey goalkeeper as well. We can say he really likes this position a lot. "Keeping trouble out" should really be his motto, I must dare say.

#2 - LB - Giovanni Rattler - Age 24 - Home United
Zavier is certainly biased towards Home United here. Rattler came through the famed Home United's La Academica and Zavier was his coach. His one on one approach to every single player has certainly bore well. Rattler is a supporting left wing back, known to pull out attacks from the wings if need be but he tends to stay and help out at the defence if he so prefers. Hanging around the transition point between attack and defence, he is known for his rough and physical defensive plays and he possess great crossing skills from the left wing and a dead eye for a great pass.

#3 - CB - Delmar Sauve - Age 24 - Club Atletico
Club Atletico is known to produce some of the best defenders in Maplish football and you don't have to look far and wide for the reason. Right here, we have Sauve, who is great at reading defensive plays and directing defensive transitions. He's known to be the fastest defenders in the Primero Liga, in a straight 100m dash, he can clock a staggering 9.7s, if he decides that playing football is not his thing, he could very well become a sprinter. He might not a tough tackler but his amazing ability at chasing down his man, great in the air, intelligent jockeying ability and a great long shot has made him one of the most important players at Club Atletico.

#4 - CB - Valentine Osgood - Age 26 - Home United - Vice-Captain
Home United's skipper and main man for the Protectors' defence, we see a tough tackling defender who does not shy away from aggressive body checks and jostles against his opponents. Giving away fouls however aren't all that is common as he is also quick in getting to the ball first before his man starts to see himself flying away. Strength and speed are some of the key qualities that Osgood possesses. Not fond in joining the attack he is often the last man whenever the players go for the attack. Winning the ball back and getting the lob off the dribble to his teammates who are going for the attack, he is not only a centre piece for the defence but also the starting piece for the attack.

#5 - RB - Freddy Kampen - Age 24 - SC Barcelona
One of the main man in SC Barcelona's rise to the Primero Liga and their impressive showing in the Primero Liga season that came after. A former rugby player and a muay thai specialist, he often fought for SC Barcelona on the fighting cages too when he isn't playing with a ball and he practises his tackles from the waist down whenever he is in need of some oval ball training and to improve his anticipatory skills on a ball which doesn't exactly bounce in a regular pattern. You can certainly tell his muay thai striking skills as his agility is second to none, often bursting out in spectacular and acrobatic moves for his defensive clearances or playing out eye catching moves on the right wing to get past opponent defenders. Not to mention, his aggressiveness and nerves of steel too, makes him a great set piece taker too.

#6 - CDM - Toribio Andres - Age 26 - Golden Phoenix - Vice-Captain
The skipper of Golden Phoenix, Andres is a deep lying anchor man with a keen eye for the pass, great crossing ability and is a playmaker. Always on the lookout to create any chances to allow an attacking play in the attacking front. Versatile, Andres can move towards the attack whenever there is a need to and double up as an attacking midfielder. Great ball control, creativity and good shooting ability that can be matched by many if the forwards in the Primero Liga, it has also allowed him to cover up on the wings and even play as the attacking man up front too and pose as an additional threat to the already attacking lineup of the Lions. This will certainly play well for Zavier who is always keen on quite an offensive style of play.

#7 - CM - Armando Seabrook - Age 24 - SC Galatasaray
Seabrook is a box to box midfielder and that enables him to participate in both the attack and the defence which made him one of the most important and versatile links in SC Galatasaray. He is best known for being daring and aggressive in his plays as he likes to push forward to support the attacking front and have the highest tendency amongst his midfield colleagues to surge late into the box when there is a tight defensive line to break up the deadlock or to get on the end of crosses to project some additional creative surge to the attack. In defence, he is known to harass opponent ball carriers and is not afraid to get in for a challenge and his aggressiveness could spice things up between him and the opponents although for the most part, he displays sportsmanship-like behaviour.

#8 - CM - Hiram Hupp - Age 23 - Versatio Giants
A key industrious and versatile link for Versatio Giants' maiden Primero Liga victory in Season 16, Hupp is still in the midst of learning the game and has started to morph a playing style of his own. He is known to drift out wide and supporting flank play, stay around the midfield line to balance both his attacking and defensive responsibilities, going forward when necessary but keeping to the middle of the pitch and attempting to spray passes out to the attacking front and supporting the defence whenever possible to be that additional man to trap any roaming attacking players. Hupp is expected to provide a covering and support role for Seabrook when he is out on his attacking runs and partnering with anchorman Andres in covering gaps in the defence and providing the necessary support to project their dominance on the pitch.

#9 - CAM - Leandro Cloe - Age 26 - Home United - Captain
The star man, the talisman, the captain. Cloe is expected to play a centre role in both the attack and his midfield duties as he takes on the leadership role for the Dragons. An understudy to his senior, Alero Junio who helped the Dragons qualify for the 64th and 66th World Cup, Cloe takes on his senior a lot with his technical flair, agility, speed and vision. However, despite all the similarities portrayed by pundits and fans, this disciple has his own style as he likes to operate from the midfielder instead of the attacking front, but that hardly curbs his attacking tendencies. Although he operates higher than his teammate, Seabrook in the midfield, Cloe seems keen to allow him to operate far more forward on the attack than him and Cloe would fashion himself to be the secondary playmaker albeit sitting in a more advanced position than his teammate Andres who lies deeper in the midfield for his role. However, there are times when Cloe would take on the defence by himself and fancy a few spectacular moves or two to break the monotony of his job. Great technique with the ball on the move or in deadball situations, it has certainly played well to his playing style.

#10 - CAM - Willis Cerrone - Age 24 - Golden Eagles
The star man for Golden Eagles on the attack and often known to drift out to the flanks and work as the winger instead, Cerrone will see his job scope expand when he takes on his assignment with the Dragons. Other than allowing him to roam towards the wings, he will also need to take the work of being the second striker of the team, behind the more esteemed Eduardo Eutimio, who has now got a different job scope and is needed to sit further inwards than wingwards. In his attacking role with Golden Eagles, Cerrone showed promise in his role as a complete forward, possessing the technical attributes in providing the assist and putting the ball in the net, helping to creating the space and spearheading attacks and putting the powerful and tactfful shots. With his additional responsibility in the midfield, he is expected to participate in the hooking up of the midfield to attack here as he sits deeper inwards than he's used to in his club.

#11 - ST - Eduardo Eutimio - Age 24 - Golden Phoenix
Eutimio might not be the number one choice for the striker position and many would have expected him to start somewhere else and probably not the centre man for the attack. But, here he is, now the main target man for the Dragons. With all the work done in creating the chances, stretching the defence both physically and psychologically, Eutimio's main task would be to put the ball behind the net. Making use of his physicality, he would work to sniff out the inches of space that is needed to complete the attacking move and open up space for his own strike or for his strike partner and the supporting midfielders. His aerial presence is also second to none and it can be a goalscoring threat or an opportunity to bring teammates into play. Despite his attacking tendencies and offensive role, he is also known to drop back to the midfield and relay possession and bringing his supporting teammates into play which makes this team and all around team. Although, that doesn't explains Zavier's weird combination of tactics and giving player roles to certain players who might not fit into the mould. Only putting them to play will prove whether his hunch or pure tactical genius turns out all but right.

Reserves
#12 - GK - Tyrone Kittel - Age 26 - Golden Eagles
The Golden Eagles skipper missed out on the starting lineup against a younger Feldstein. However, that doesn't mean that age is a deciding factor in this position. An aggressive sweeper keeper, Kittel will act dynamics to the field when attacks start all the way from the goalkeeper instead of the midfield or the backline and his long, punching goalkicks and dropkicks are some of the main tools for the Dragons to start any counter attacking moves if the game is tied to a deadlock or if the outfield simply cannot open up the stubborn opposition defence. He can also prove to be a lifesaver with his risky and daring runs towards the opponent's penalty box in the dying minutes of play if there is a set piece or a corner kick to provide for that extra man in attack.

#13 - GK - Nicolas Eatmon - Age 23 - SC Barcelona
Other than the stunning defence of SC Barcelona which allowed it to survive the Primero Liga but also to thrive in the competitive plays. There lies the shot stopper, Eatmon. A goalkeeper who likes to come up from the goal line and provide for an additional man on the defensive line possession hold. Although not the aggressive sweeper keeper style like Kittel, Eatmon is a more back in the line kind of guy and would get head on with a 1 on 1 situation than to attempt a risky tackle plus hand to ball move which so happen to be the style of his more aggressive goalkeeping colleague, Kittel.

#14 - CB - Russell Shao - Age 26 - Versatio Giants
Although the main man in the defence for the Giants title winning season, Shao does not have the dominating presence as his colleague in defence and fellow skipper for his own team, Valentine Osgood. As compared to his teammate, Osgood, Shao is known to sit a little deeper than other defenders and likes to adopt a more Libero kind of play. Aiming to sweep up balls, pick up extra forwards and make goal saving tackles, blocks and interceptions. That however, doesn't mean he won't go up and go up for the attack when needed, which allows him to venture much higher up the pitch to provide support in the midfield and play balls through to attacking teammates or to come out and do a one to one on an attacking player to deny his advances on the goal.

#15 - LB - Oliver Ullman - Age 26 - Northampton
Not exactly the wing back as seen compared to his defensive colleague Rattler, Ullman brings another dynamic to the left back position in the Dragons' defence. Less of a wing back but more of a ball playing defender, who looks to stop opposition forwards and to clear the ball to danger or to launch defence splitting through balls from deep or an accurate lob over to a supporting midfielder or attacker going for an offensive run, Ullman likes to sit a little deeper and more inwards than wingwards than Rattler. Although more defensive minded, his eye for the attack inducing pass, lob or cross has for certain helped Northampton in their midtable finish.

#16 - CB - Kurtis Leno - Age 24 - Bury Town
A key player in the centre of the defence for Bury Town in their rise to the Primero Liga and their subsequent retention in the league thereafter. Leno is a no nonsense defender who prefers to stay in the defence and in the be the last man. A tough tackle and great at breaking up attacks, he excels in man to man marking, often tracking his markee down to the tee, bravely closing them down and drawing danger away from the penalty box. Known for his acrobatic clearances and agility, we can expect him to sweep up goal clearing balls and last minute clearances much to the relief of the shotstopper in charge.

#17 - RB - Cyril Macdonnell - Age 24 - Balmope Betis
Macdonnell is a full back and is up and all ready to provide much needed width on the wings should he needs to. Known to close down on opposition wingers and stripping the ball away from them, he also makes use of his speed and attacking tendency to join in, supplement and overlap the midfield to provide the attacking third with the much needed attacking flair and creativity. A keen eye for the cross and a great eye for the killer passing move, Macdonnell can be counted on to play up at the anchorman who strays wingwards should the midfield need an additional man to balance out the field.

#18 - CDM - Randall Lamberth - Age 23 - Catanzaro
Lamberth impressed in his role as the ball winning midfielder for Catanzaro, although he resembles less of the ball winning midfielder as he often runs with the ball down or arrive late with a daunting run into the opposition area as seen from the behaviour of a more traditional box to box midfielder. He looks to balance the two tendencies and seeks out to support the attack whilst picking and choosing his opportunities to arrive into the opposition's penalty box for the additional attacking head for the midfield. He also looks to cover the defence when needed and fill in any gaps left out by the defence and to close down on the opposition attack before the defenders does.

#19 - CM - Tobias Perrella - Age 24 - Central Aden Knights
Perrella excels in the roaming playmaker position and his the heartbeat of CA Knights, driving forward with the ball to spearhead attacks as well as tracking back to the defence to stop oncoming opposition forwards and to cover defensively. A stamina packed man with and always offering a passing option to his teammates, he prefers to maintain a high intensity of the field and aims to pick the ball up in deep positions and work the ball forward to the attacking third. A supporting player in both attack and defence, he can be seen camping on the edge of penalty box for a chance to run in for a shot or try a precise pass for a goalscoring opportunity while covering and tracking back fast whenever he anticipates a transition of play.

#20 - CM - Nickolas Zelman - Age 23 - SC Borussia Dortmund
The one man that got Dortmund to tick as he's the industrious box to box midfielder who helps to hook the attack and defence together. Also a wide midfielder who doesn't shy away from making his plays on the flanks whether is it his defensive or attacking duties. Dynamic and talented, he is a versatile player and can he possess great dribbling and on the ball skills which helps him take on the defence confidently whereas back in his defensive duties, his tenacity and aggressiveness are key in tracking and stopping opposition forwards down their strides.

#21 - CAM - Pedro Rosado - Age 22 - Home United
Rosado prides himself as a young advanced playmaker, who likes to drift forward whenever he gets the chance and he's versatile enough to play on the flanks too. One of Jaime Severiano's favourite youngsters and an exciting prospect who has come out from the prestigious La Academica, Rosado's offensive tendencies can be seen from his mentorship from Leandro Cloe. However he too is different from Cloe. Rosado prefers to be in a more supportive role than his mentor and likes to stay in a hole where he has a domineering view of play in front of him and looks to spray passes ahead to support attacking players instead of driving towards the defence line.

#22 - ST - Pete Vargas - Age 24 - Balmope Betis
Missing out on the starting spot, Vargas is a defensive forward who likes to put pressure on the defensive line and chase down the defensive man in possession, pounce on loose balls and harass the defence when given the chance. Vargas prefers to keep his attack simple and looks to bring other players into the game and he likes to sit a little deeper in the attacking third instead of going forward as he looks to start his attacks whilst putting pressure on the opposition defensive midfielders instead of pressuring the central defenders. He can of course be counted on when there is a need to relay possession and re open up space in games which seem a little more difficult to break apart.

#23 - ST - Chester Kulikowski - Age 24 - SC Galatasaray
A goal machine or a false nine, Kulikowoski is comfortable with both. He's the talisman man for SC Galatasaray in their domestic season and is the top goalscorer for Gala in Season 16 of the Primero Liga, and a key member in allowing Gala to finish third. Known to lead the attack line and opening space for teammates to move into or to take on the attack by himself, he is well known for his aerial presence, technique on the ball and his shooting ability. He is also a threat when he is assigned to drop into a false nine position which allows him to drop deep and get the ball from the midfield and getting more space to perform his magic and to pick out a pass to his overlapping teammates or to allow him to take on the defence by himself as he lets his teammates advance into favourable positions.

Tactics: 4-5-1
Keen switching, keen flanky play and behind the ball work, technical and physical, that was how many would describe it. A possession based and direct attacking play combined with high pressing, that defined the simple essence of football that has evolved to suit many of the players who have come through the youth academies in Mapletish and also a keen feature in the senior Maplish game. The Maplish favour a rather attacking game and the tactics put themselves up for it. Players who are keen to go out wide to the flanks to attack, defenders sitting deeper down in the defence line. The defence line is also known for their well rehearsed and drilled offside trap with players like Osgood and Sauve experienced in leading the defensive line. The attack led by Eutimio prefers to create their chances from the midfield up although Eutimio is a skillful player and can be paired up well with Cerrone who likes to drift forward to support him. The 4-5-1 acts in a 4-3-3 in someways as Cerrone likes to sit a little further forward than what a 4-5-1 allowed him to and the space given to him to roam is rather large, either he could partner with Eutimio down in the attacking, playmaking midfield position or he could partner with Cloe. Defensive wise, the 4-5-1 set up traps any player who might want to find themselves some space in the gaps between the midfield and the defence. Enveloping into a suffocating 7-2-1 if need be with Andres covering up as an achor together with Hupp who both possessing defensive tendencies.

Penalty Taker: Leandro Cloe/ Freddy Kampen/ Eduardo Eutimio
Free Kick Taker: Leandro Cloe/ Eduardo Eutimio/ Willis Cerrone
Corner Taker: Freddy Kampen/ Hiram Hupp/ Toribio Andres

After a number of years in the wilderness Ancharmunn's back, and ready to middle along, and generally have a pleasant time. Don't forget to grab an orange slice now will you? G'won, you know you want one.

Players to watch include, Tiernán McSweeney, the team's likely star player and main source of goals. Cormac Shaughnessy is an creative spark in an otherwise workmanlike midfield, whilst Bailey Latimer is by far and away the best shot shopper in Ancharmunn, though doubts as to his calibre on a worldwide stage persist.

OOC: World Cup Qualifying will start Saturday, November 9, 2041 and run to Saturday, May 24, 2042 within the Darmeni timeline. WC proper/CoH will take place in June. Ages are correct as of Saturday, November 9, 2041. Player stats and manager record do not yet include the results from the Darmen vs. Damukuni pre-WC friendly. They will be edited to reflect the match once it is scorinated.

National Football Team of Darmen
presented by the
Darmeni Football Association

Record (Modern-era only, since Copa Rushmori 24): 142 matches, 62 wins, 33 draws, 47 losses, 274 GF, 236 GA, .553 Win %

Manager - Godefroy Abascal - 39 years old
Manager since: Friday, December 2, 2039 (Copa Rushmori 28) | Record: 69 matches, 37 wins, 13 draws, 19 losses, 136 GF, 100 GA, .630 Win %

Abascal first made a name for himself by taking Darmen to the Gold Medal Match of the 12th Olympics and winning it, 3-2 over Cocoabo Forest. Since then he has led the All Greens to their first World Cup finals appearance since World Cup 68: the team drew against Pasarga and Mriin, but a loss to South Covello prohibited them from moving on to the knockout rounds. Abascal is a calm presence on the sideline, rarely giving out orders to the players on the field. His press conferences are also fairly calm, Abascal takes the time to formulate well crafted answers. Ask a dumb question however, and he'll laugh you out of the room. Abascal does suffer the occasional panic attack, usually pre-match.

Coaching Staff
Position Name Age
Assistant Manager Berhtoald Myers 34
Offensive Coach Iwan Perrault 47
Defensive Coach Evan Bullock 48
Goalkeeping Coach Martín Findlay 37
A solid coaching staff, they can often be seen on the bench conversing with one another over possible tactical changes. Sometimes they make suggestions to Abascal, but he rarely takes their advice in-game. Myers is occasionally called upon to fill in for Abascal when the Manager's panic attacks rule him out of his position on the touch-line, and Myers does a good job of filling the gaffers shoes. Myers is often rumored to become a manager in his own right whenever the top position becomes open at any of the big name clubs in Darmen. The other three assistants are all solid teachers of the relevant skills they coach.

Goalkeepers
Name Age Club Caps Goals
Hyman Campo 21 Suburban Warriors 53 0
Daniel Abram 21 Royal PFC 6 0
Myrddin Falkenrath 19 Violet Crown FC 2 0
Don't let Campo's form with the Warriors fool you, he is truly a player capable of playing the international game. The Warriors record of 0-3-29 (13 GF-80 GA!) in its first two seasons of play is far more the fault of the club's defenders then its goalkeeper. In fact the All Greens' keeper has been rumored as a possible transfer target for crosstown giants Scott City FC. Campo isn't the tallest goalkeeper, standing at only 185.5cm, but is agile enough to cover much of the goal frame in quick, flashy, movements. A lunging fingertip save is likely to send the supporters of the All Greens into a frenzy. While Campo has been a steady presence in goal for the Darmeni team the past two World Cup cycles, Daniel Abram and Myrddin Falkenrath have made the team following their performances for Darmen at underage level.

Left-backs
Name Age Club Caps Goals
Jean Virgo 26 Chuckio FC 55 3
Anastasio Wilkie 22 Chippewa Valley United FC 15 0
Philippus Deniaud 21 Tim City University 3 0
A towering presence in the back line, Virgo stands an impressive 198cm. His strong neck means he can clear the ball easily while it is still in the air, especially on set pieces. Anastasio Wilkie is a solid tackler, but can't match the height (184cm) of his counterpart. Deniaud meanwhile is still only a collegiate player.

Center-backs
Name Age Club Caps Goals
Silver Abbey 22 Tempala United Saints 68 1
Jacob Coghlan 29 MTK Kingsville 21 0
Cormac Krämer 21 Atlético Augusta 5 0
Out of all the defenders, Silver Abbey is arguably the most talented skill wise. He has the strength to force opponents off the ball while still maintaining enough balance to execute his next move in possession of the ball. His clearances are also top notch, always finding open space along the wings for the outside midfielders to snatch up and begin attacks. Coghlan and Krämer meanwhile are simple tacklers, they win the ball and blast it forward, without any regard to who will gain possession of it. In fact, its safe to say that the majority of the clearances end up in the stands. Krämer however struggles to control his emotions, once becoming frustrated he can easily be brushed past by any opposing player with even the slightest bit of skill going forwards.

Right-backs
Name Age Club Caps Goals
Ritchie Porsche 31 Darmen City United 104 4
Klopas Maddox 28 Atlético Augusta 36 0
Cyrus Spalding 21 Scott City FC 9 0
While the other two starting defenders might be quick and youthful, Ritchie Porsche must rely on his experience to maintain the level of play necessary to wear the All Greens jersey. Porsche isn't affraid to make a strong challenge, and despite not being a dirty player, is the most likely of the Darmeni players to receive discipline from the referee. Klopas Maddox is chomping at the bit to take over the starting position; he still has the ability to accelerate quickly and is also a handful of centimeters taller than his teammate. Cyrus Spalding is a rarity among Darmeni defenders, his tendency to bypass his teammates in midfield by launching long-balls forwards baffles many fans. It is a strategy which works however, as he has had double-digit assists for the past three seasons in domestic competitions.

Defensive Midfielders
Name Age Club Caps Goals
Alberich Goldschmidt 28 MTK Kingsville 116 14
Kerr Ramírez 24 Rushmore United 31 1
Avidan Tobias 21 Chippewa Valley United FC 4 0
A strong and sturdy ball-winning midfielder, Goldschmidt's job is to stop the opponents before they reach the three defenders behind him. An excellent tackler, he is rarely ever called for fouls. His one weakness however is his positioning, he often drifts forwards after releasing the ball to one of the outside midfielders to start the attack and often has to play catch up as opponents make runs behind him. Goldschmidt also handles the set pieces and is a natural leader. Kerr Ramírez and Avidan Tobias sit behind Goldschmidt in the pecking-order, but both players are solid. They can match much of the skills Goldschmidt displays, but lack his ability on set pieces. They also lack experience compared to the 28 year-old starter; Goldschmidt is the leading appearance maker for the All Greens in the modern era.

Left Midfielders
Name Age Club Caps Goals
Mordecai Ó Cuilinn 24 Chippewa Valley United FC 83 7
Riley Mac Pharlain 22 Nyancato Institute 20 1
Codie Armbruster 21 Eau Claire United 10 0
The fastest player on the team, Ó Cuilinn is hard to catch up to if he gets past his marker. However, his crosses are not as crisp as those from Stafford or Freud on the right. Mac Pharlain was passed up for the starting position a few cycles ago and plays with a chip on his should because of that. Of all the players on the team he has the biggest ego, something which is certainly not helped by his partying at school. Codie Armbruster is far more patient than Mac Pharlain, both on and off the field.

Left-center Midfielders
Name Age Club Caps Goals
Marcellinus Winton 26 Vogler City Force 58 7
Gerrard Parks 23 AFC Scott City 18 2
Abraham Cardoso 22 Darmen Military Academy 5 0
Winton is the king of ball control, only the strongest of tackles will lead to him being disposed. Parks and Cardoso are both ambitious players: Parks wants to eventually play for a Series A team and be named in the All Greens' Starting XI, while Cardoso would like to become a General in the Darmeni Army. It is that ambition that often causes Cardoso to appear uninterested when on the field.

Right-center Midfielders
Name Age Club Caps Goals
Zachariah Butler 28 Brham United 81 10
Mercurius Byrnes 22 University of Science 20 0
Alan McNeil 23 MTK Kingsville 18 3
Butler loves to go crashing into the box to slam home loose balls. Occasionally he clumsily crashes into his opponents instead, making him look quite the fool. He does however have loads of experience, a fantastic first touch and the vision to spot opportunities for a good pass. Despite being a collegiate player, Byrnes is a similar player to Butler except for his forward ventures. Byrnes has been quoted as saying he would like to be credited with more assists then goals scored. Alan McNeil meanwhile is struggling to earn the opportunity to start for the All Greens, something which he does very well for MTK Kingsville. Many assume that he is just one of those players better suited for club football than the international game.

Right Midfielders
Name Age Club Caps Goals
Juanito Stafford 23 Rogerton Valladar CF 53 3
Aquila Freud 21 Sleepy Hollow (Taeshan) 19 4
Sorley Welch 21 Eau Claire United 6 0
Juanito Stafford is only barely hanging on to his position in the Starting XI, as Aquila Freud is performing well with his club in Taeshan. Freud is also the only non-domestic player selected for the team and is by far a much better player in the final third. He does however struggle with maintaining possession, something which is a very prized skill for Darmeni midfielders and certainly not something Stafford struggles to do. Sorley Welch is by far a better crosser then a shooter; he'll rarely appear inside of the box unless called to do so on a set piece.

Left Forwards
Name Age Club Caps Goals
Felix Lucanus 30 Sterling City United 112 64
Brian Firmin 24 Johnho United 41 12
Skylar Hurst 23 Atlético Augusta 9 9
Lucanus is your typical target man: tall (195.5cm), strong (was a wrestler in school) and good with his head — 43% of his international goals haven't been scored with his foot. Getting on in age however, the team captain can't jump quite as high as he could in the past. This tournament will be a transitional one for the leading goalscorer of the modern-era; if he can score more with his feet he might hold on to his job. If not, Brian Firmin is waiting to take up the reigns in the strike partnership. Firmin however faces competition from the pacey twenty-three year old Skylar Hurst, who has scored nine goals in as many matches with the senior team.

Right Forwards
Name Age Club Caps Goals
Craig Blackwood 21 Royal PFC 43 18
Colin Russell 29 Scott City FC 31 4
Primitivo Reagan 22 Menomonie United 5 3
Unlike his counterpart on the left, Blackwood scores almost exclusively with his foot, cleaning up any loose balls in the box and shoving them into the back of the net with his strong right leg. Blackwood is certainly the star of the future, but it remains to be seen if he can match the goal scoring rate of his senior partner. Colin Russell and Primitivo Reagan are the two reserves at the position: Russell has failed to impress in his 31 appearances and will most likely not receive a call up to the team again unless he plays well this cycle; while Reagan has looked strong in his five games, but it remains to be seen whether that form will continue or is just a fluke.

Tactics
Formation: 3-1-4-2
Image
Darmen will alternate between the counter-attack and possession oriented football. When counter-attacking, play will likely begin with the defensive-midfielder winning the ball and making an outlet pass to one of the outside midfielders. While not out-and-out wingers, they have many of the same qualities and will use their pace to make their way down the touch-lines before crossing into the box. The strike partnership will always be defined as having one target man and one poacher. Atypically, it is the target man who will score the majority of goals, while the poacher and potentially a midfielder will take shots should any subsequent chances present themselves. However, if either of the outside midfielders are stopped before they can make their crosses, Darmen's chances of attacking will disappear for the near future as the team regroups into its defensive formation.

When playing with possession, it is the goal of the Darmeni midfield to lull their opponents to sleep by stringing together large sums of passes. Against highly ranked sides, sequences of 20-30 passes being strung together before the ball even enters the final third are common. Against lesser ranked opponents, its not unheard of for the team to string together 40-50 passes before going forward to attack the goal. Additionally, any of the Darmeni midfielders may choose to show off an individual skill, for instance they might hold the ball loosely in front of them, inviting an opposing player to make a tackle, before attempting to nutmeg that player as they arrive. Such antics are rare however when facing tougher opponents. While dominating the possession can often frustrate the opposition and cause them to lose concentration, it can just as easily make the All Greens fall asleep themselves and become vulnerable to the counter-attack. Either way, it is almost a certainty that one of the goalkeepers will be called into action, it's only a question of which one.

Defensively, man-to-man marking of the main attacking opponents is the preferred method of limiting the amount of saves the Goalkeeper is needed to make. The defensive-midfielder operates almost like a sweeper, only located in front of the back line rather than behind it. On corners and free-kicks, Darmen will exclusively mark their opponents man-to-man, zonal marking is considered too unreliable.

Team Roles
Captain: Felix Lucanus
Vice-Captain: Alberich Goldschmidt
Left Corner: Alberich Goldschmidt
Right Corner: Alberich Goldschmdit
Penalties: Felix Lucanus
Free-kicks: Alberich Goldschmidt

Team Personality
The Darmeni team will never argue with the referee. Indeed, if anything needs to be brought to the attention of the referee it will be done by either the Captain or Vice-Captain in a respectful manner (or to the fourth-official by the Manager). With regards to foul/dirty play, the Darmeni team will not provoke, or retaliate against any opposition player. Darmeni's expect each team to keep to itself and deal with its own trouble makers; any opposition player who attempts to prevent a conflict by pushing or pulling a Darmeni away from the scene will be promptly told off, as that is the duty of the Darmeni Captain.

Nonetheless, Darmen will play in a relatively aggressive manner. Tackles will be conducted in a way which ensures the opponent ends up on the ground, but causing injury will be avoided as much as possible. On set pieces, Darmenis will stand their ground and will not be easily pushed around, they will not however engage in hugging. In fact, if any opposing player tries to push past them, it is not uncommon for the Darmeni player to feign resistance before simply stepping aside and watching as the opposing player stumbles past on their way to ground. This occasionally backfires however, as the referee may mistake the incidence as having been a foul in the box.

NEW LUSITANIA'S ROSTER & INFO

New Lusitania has managed to climb into the Top 100 Associations in the last cycle, and is looking to prove that the decent matches in the last Qualifying weren't a one off. After Manuel Silva, Victor Santa Cruz, his assistant in the 1st Global Cup rose to the main coach position and was given the benefit of the doubt after a terrible first appearance, still as an unranked team, due to the transition. However, this faith has seemed to pay off, and he wants the team to rise to the occasion once more this time. He's kept the main players from last time out, but has brought some of the youth in that he experimented with at the Cup of Harmony. Patrice's time runs out, but he's still getting the call up as main keeper, probably to change in the near future to Lopes. The three-man defence holds, with a Central Defensive Midfielder for support. The road to the World Cup begins...

Cobrio National Football Team

ABOUT
The Cobrio national football team is operated under the auspices of the Cobre Football Federation (CFF), to represent the Independent State of Cobrio in international competition.

While the team has existed in some form for around eighty years -- it was formed during the 2220s while Cobrio sought to gain independence from Osarius, only participating in friendly tournaments and the Rabastor Unity Trophy -- it is only during the past two months that Cobrio's national team has been officially recognised by the World Cup Committee. The team's first game after official recognition was a 3-3 draw against Osarius at Tukari Kaita National Stadium -- a newly built stadium near Camaron, the official capital of Cobrio.

KITS
The Cobre kits are based on the flag.
The home kit is a primarily gold design, with green and black patterns, and a faint panther motif on the front.
The away kit is primarily black, with green and gold decoration in a traditional pattern.
(I'll get these actually designed properly at some point, no time yet)

STADIUM
Image

(click for larger version)
The majority of Cobre home games will be played at Tukari Kaita National Stadium, near Camaron. The nearest transport stop is "National Stadium", on the Basho line of Cobrio's rail network, running from Dynapolis in the northern co-operative region of Umoja, out East to Jraxville, and all the way down the eastern coast of Cobrio to Alano in the south. The stadium's official capacity is 42,580 (when safe-standing sections are opened), or 37,000 all-seated. Its futuristic design, retractable roof, and bowl-shaped structure allow it to be a multi-purpose sports arena and the venue is also home to the Cobre Track and Field Championships (referred to by locals as "the TFCs"), operated by the Cobrio Council of Athletics (CCA). This sometimes leads to clashes between football and athletics events. On such occasions, the CFF may move games to the Dragonpit, in Dynapolis. Home to Dynapolis United -- the most storied club in Cobrio, having existed long before the nation gained independence -- the Dragonpit's larger capacity (53,000 all-seated) and ease of access (being located in a major city) make it an attractive venue. However, home fans are loathe to admit this, noting that historically, Dynapolis United were closely affiliated with the Osarian crown. While the latest incarnation is decidedly more anti-Aurumian, after the club was re-established in the early 23rd century, the ill-feeling still persists for many Cobran fans.

PLAYING STYLE
Cobrio generally play something akin to the classic "Osarian 4-3-3" but normally with a dedicated defensive midfielder (a "disruptor"; whose role is to break up the play primarily) and two fullbacks given license to push forward. Most Cobre players are fast, even the larger guys -- often deceptively so -- though this does not translate to "clumsy", be warned.

While some players are highly tactically astute, this is not the norm. The struggles in the area over the past couple of decades -- rebuilding the football scene after the lengthy war -- have led to a limited degree of football education for the majority of players. Particularly those who did not play for a big club (read: "who used to play in the Osarian Golden League"), and as a result, Cobre football tends to focus more on athleticism and instinct. Do not mistake this for a lack of tactical acumen, however. The team is exceptionally well-drilled -- having an ex-military man as your coach will do that -- and while not at the elite level (yet), it is important to note that these are still professional footballers of the highest level in their country.

PERSONNEL

Manager
Lt. Beresford Uwusu (sometimes written as Owusu)
A former officer in the Cobre military, Lt. Uwusu was hand-picked to oversee the training of the national team following his stellar work with Cobre Special Forces. It was believed that his skill at team-building and general command excellence would be the best foundation upon which to build the Cobrio team for their first foray into international football. Uwusu is known for his tactical brilliance, though at times he might think of gambits a little too complex for some of his players to bear out as he had envisioned, meaning he often has to simplify things to the point they are not quite as effective. He demands that his players give everything they have, and then some more, but does not always recognise the need to rotate his squad. This can sometimes leads to the Cobre side looking tired after a number of games in quick succession, and playing well below expectation.

Notes:
Ratings are compared to other players in the Cobrio Panther League, that is to say, while 3 stars is a decent player at Cobre top flight standard, and 5 stars refers to a standout player at that level, realistically, a 5 star player in Cobrio would probably be merely "decent" or "above average" in a stronger league.

Archetypes are intended to summarise the main points of a player's playing style into a single word. For example, "tunnelvision" refers to Warrington's tendency to only see the goal; "Stretcher" refers to the way Moses Lofuko's pace stretches play by forcing defenders to drop deep; "Banger" refers to Lamont Dusang's tendency to shoot from distance (and his generally physical playing style); "Marauder" refers to a fullback's tendency to roam forward... and so on.

RP Permissions:
Do whatever you like, except killing people. Injuries are okay too, though I might retcon them if I had plans for the recipient.
Honestly, I'll probably roll with whatever you come up with, but a heads up for serious stuff would be appreciated. Mostly, I just want this to be fun :)

Barunia's National Football Team - The Suns
Everything you ever wanted to know about Barunian Football History

Having made their triumphant return to the World Cup last cycle, the Suns are keen to constinue their winning ways. The loss of several key players has somewhat derailed their plans, but Adam Johnson is sure he can get the job done with the young and inexperienced team that has been pulled together from the X-League. Those missing from the roster include regular captain Hannah Miller to a knee injury, defender Felix "Bull" Benitez (A.C.L.), Daniel Kyrow (retirement), and forward James Kennedy (family reasons). In Miller's absence, Liesel McClelland finds herself wearing the captain's armband, becoming the second woman to be given the role.

Head Coach: Adam Johnson
After the retirement of Joric Ruskin following the 76th World Cup, the Barunian Football Association struggled to find a replacement. With none yet found, and the Independents Cup looming, they put out a call to Adam Johnson, coach of the West Bay Mariners in Barunia's X-League. Johnson made it to the semi-finals of his first tournament, and despite a rocky World Cup 77 Qualifier, took the team to their second ever final, coming second in Cup of Harmony 69. Johnson has very much put his own stamp on the team, changing from his predecessor's favoured attacking football to a defensive formation. However, this cycle he has debuted a formation that resembles the 'diamond' styles of both Wiggens and Ruskin, with central defensive and attacking midfielders interspersed with wingers down the left and right.
NB: As is typical of football teams in Barunia, the Suns do not have a manager. The Coach is responsible for managing the team.

Sun Stadium (National Stadium of Barunia), Porthaven - Capacity: 95,000. Location: Porthaven, Havenia
Ground will host: Natanians and Nosts (MD5); Drawkland (MD11)
Sun Stadium is the national stadium of Barunia, and the home of the national team, the Barunian Suns. In honour of these illustrious tenants, the stadium has a strong sun motif. This includes the seat patterning, which represents a yellow sun in a blue sky, and the golden "sunburst" roof. The stadium is multi-purpose too, creating a vibrant sports hub for the capital. It was the obvious choice to hold the grand final of the 66th Baptism of Fire.

Bayview Stadium - Capacity 70,000. Location: Bayview, Tildos
Ground will host: Kavagrad (MD3); San Regada (MD8)
Bayview Stadium is home to the West Bay Mariners, one of the powerhouses of Barunia's domestic league system. It is located in the town of Bayview, in the West Bay area of Tildos. The stadium is situated on a mountain overlooking Morgan Bay, and is considered to have one of the best views of any stadium in Barunia. Only a recent addition to Barunia’s World Cup tour, where it replaced Newland’s Blackrock Stadium, Bayview has proven a popular destination for both local and foreign fans.
Image

Memorial Stadium - Capacity: 100,000. Location: Edwardton, Marion
Ground will host: Omerica (MD7); Mariarty (MD15); Egyptosian (MD18)
Home to both the Marion Hawks and the Edwardtion Eagles, the box-shape and grille-like cladding of Memorial Stadium has earned it the nickname of “The Birdcage”. The largest football stadium in Barunia, Memorial Stadium is named in honour of those who fought in the civil war. Memorial stadium was built by Kytlerian company BNW Varin and features a retractable roof, 90,000 seats plus terraces, plenty of room for foreign media and large movable screens at the back of the top tier.
Image

Sam Garcia Field (Northport Sports Complex) - Capacity: 43,000. Location: Northport-San Baptiste, Northern Isles
Ground will host: Shayla (MD1); Kedroiqua (MD13)
Located in the city of Northport-San Baptise in the Northern Islands, this ground is the sacred heart of Barunian football. Often considered to be the place where football in Barunia originated, it's a ground known for firsts, hosting all home matches during the Suns inaugural World Cup campaign (due to it being the only safe ground during the civil war) and is the home of the San Baptiste Sea Lions, the first Barunian Football League championship team. Named in memory of former Sea Lions and Suns goalkeeper Sam Garcia, the main pitch at the Northport Sports Complex is ready to once again provide plenty of firsts.

Legend had it that a team of plucky Sunrisians conquered the world twice, impressing bystanders and shutting down nay-sayers. This isn't a tale of equal standing, but rather, the story of how the distant grandchildren of those men and women came in town, decked in the closest to a set of royal colours possible with the wish to do them better.

HOME STADIUM
Tentai National Stadium
Capacity: 67,150 - Tentai City, Tentai - Tenants: Tentai Astros

Recently built under rule by the Hinodejin Imperial Court, this state of the art venue was built to host games of upcoming team Tentai Astros, but more important than that, to host the national team's games at the new capital of the Empire. It's also supposed to represent part of the renovation process spearheaded by the current queen towards this city, once a capital of one of the fiercest enemies of the empire, now acting as one of the jewels of her crown.

RP PERMISSIONS
As you might've noticed, two of these players aren't human. Just wanted to point out they're still fairly close to being human, just in case and a brief search will give you a good idea of what they look like. Please don't kill the players. Injuries for large stretches of time have to be informed by telegram, or else they'll get the ignore cannon treatment. Anything else (bar anything that destroys any city of the empire or its' people, just in case anyone gets a bit too creative) is fine by me.

Kits

South Libertopian kits cover only a minimal amount of skin and tend to more closely resemble underwear than normal association football kits. The team prefers to play with gold tops and black shorts but has all-gold and all-black options in case of a clash of colors. The goalkeeper kit is typically all-white but there is an all-pink alternate.

Notes

South Libertopia is an anarcho-capitalist society where government is non-existent and legal services are typically provided by private insurance companies though some choose to maintain their own law and order at the barrel of a gun. Everything in South Libertopia is privately owned, including the gigantic Lake Liberty that is located in the center of the nation's territory and visiting any piece of property without the property owner's consent is considered trespassing and property owners have the right to remove trespassers from their property with force.

South Libertopia Assocation Football, Inc. (SLAFI) is a privately-owned corporation which was founded by wealthy real estate magnate Aaron Rhodes to represent South Libertopian association football at the international level. Association football was traditionally not a very popular sport in South Libertopia as most people found the sport boring. However, around 20 years ago, a South Libertopian businessman named Zachary Sykes popularized the sport in Flyntville by creating an all-women league featuring the most attractive players he could find playing in extremely revealing outfits. The league quickly drew enormous publicity for the Naked Cup, a game at the end of the season between the two worst teams in the league played entirely in the nude. The blatant marketing of the league around the bodies of its players proved to be a massive success and within 5 years the Flyntville Association Football Association (FAFA) was drawing larger crowds than Flyntville's last-place gridiron football team. When the Hoppeia Family Insurance Company announced that it would begin "physically removing" association football players from the socially conservative city of Hoppeia for violating the "moral decency" clause in the Hoppeia Homeowners Assocation covenant, the sport's popularity exploded throughout South Libertopia and the FAFA soon rebranded itself to the South Libertopia Association Football Association (SLAFA).

As money flowed into the sport of association (a shortened form of "association football" that became prevalent in South Libertopia to distinguish it from gridiron football and footy), the quality of play improved rapidly and player salaries skyrocketed as the number of leagues multiplied. Most leagues stayed close to the SLAFA formula that had proven so successful but a few leagues sought to "legitimize" the sport by de-emphasizing bodies as a marketing point and/or opening it up to men. SLAFI is one such effort to capitalize on the popularity of the sport by bringing foreign teams into Libertopia and potentially encouraging foreign players to consider signing with the Libertopian league. Like most Libertopian association teams, the SLAFI team will play a defensive style of association. Libertopian association evolved in a defensive-oriented direction because the actual game on the field did not need to be exciting and high-scoring to draw fans to the stadium. The players on this team were chosen from various leagues within South Libertopia, as most of the leagues agreed to lease their star players to SLAFI.

Of all of the players on the team, Maisie Miah is the most promising coming off of a 5 goal and 15 assist debut season for Rothberg City in the SLAFA First Division. Born in Ciqi, Maisie's family fled when their home nation was conquered by the Holy Republican Empire. As her father was a highly talented engineer, he was hired by a Libertopian company and placed in company housing with his family. Maisie was already a fairly well-regarded youth player in Ciqi's U-8 system and as the sport of association was exploding in popularity at the time, she quickly found a youth team and became a superstar player. While her family would not permit her to sign a professional contract until she had finished her education, she had offers from half of the SLAFA First Division by the age of 13 and eventually signed with Rothberg City on an incentive-laden deal potentially worth a million ounces of gold over 15 years, the largest deal ever offered by a Libertopian association team. While she is only 5 foot 5 and weighs around 100 pounds, she makes up for her lack of size with world-class speed, elite passes and the ability to score goals from long distances.

While the other players on the team are nowhere near as small as Maisie Miah, they are still an undersized team that relies heavily upon speed, finesse and technique. They try to avoid contact and tend to play relatively clean with lots of short passes and a very cautious approach. They will wait for the opposition to make a mistake and then make them pay for it. Set pieces and counter attacks are their specialty and Lydia Morrison is certainly not above diving or exaggerating contact to get her team a penalty kick opportunity.

The Rannorian National Football Team
Tim Voetbal van Canres

OVERVIEW/LUA INFORMATIE
Manager: Jumat Dagman (Age 47)
Head Coach: Jan Brigto (Age 39)
Captain: Karsten Sawar (Age 29, #6, CM)
Country Code: PRR
Formation: 4-3-3
Style: +1
Colours: Green and white
Nickname: the Iron Swordsmen
Home Stadium:
Officially opened on February 7th, 1955, a few years after the ending of the Great Regional War that rocked the continent of Achara and established Rannoria's dominance and strength on the Acharan continent, many people found the opening of the stadium as a sign of hope and a sign of things returning to normal, despite the fact that the war was over 6 years before then. Regardless, the Rannorian political instability, the increase in organised crime during those years, and the even more recent Bearstinian Civil War kept people on their toes, wondering whether Rannoria would be subjected to a civil war as well. People needed something to take their minds off world events, and so the Arena Perla helped.

The reintroduction of football after the war was a way for the people to enjoy things again, and although the inhabitants of the city Franerik enjoyed having a major stadium in residence, many people asked, "Why?". Construction started 2 years prior to 2955, and the government at the time was saying how this stadium would be important. More money than usual was put into it, the government was actively promoting it during construction. Even the citizens of Franerik tried to better their own football team, though that requires time, and more so, added to the question as to why such an important stadium would be built in such a city where football isn't dominant. Finally, on the date of opening, V.U Franerik played against Rannkradle City, conceded 5 goals and scored 1. The public, in the end, was confused. Despite all the government's "extra funding" and "interest" into the stadium, it wasn't so impressive. Although it was slightly bigger and more modern than most stadia at the time, there wasn't much about it. A council member released a statement a month later on how the stadium was built on top of a historical Rannorian-esque gladiatorial arena, and that's how Arena Perla got its name (meaning "Iron Arena" or "Resolve Arena"), but no one really cared. Either way, being one of the few (if not the only) stadia in Rannoria with historical evidence, and growing to become a large stadium, Arena Perla was adopted as the Rannorian national football stadium. Now modernised, expanded, and renovated with an interesting design, Arena Perla lays in Franerik, with the pride of the nation inside it. Funnily enough, Franerik never grew to become a strong football city. Although they were dominant in the 1990s-2000s, their two star teams lost their charm, and now their best team, V.U Franerik, is in the second league. Even today, people wonder why the Rannorian government tried to push Arena Perla into the spotlight back in the 50s. Whether it be to restore focus to football, or whether the government really tried (yet failed) to make Arena Perla a meaningful stadium to begin with, we will never know.

This small island nation will host World Cup Qualification matches yet again in hope to try and make it to their first ever post-qualification tournament in either the World Cup or the Cup of Harmony. Their home matches for World Cup 81 Qualification campaign will be hosted in the Krychek Stadium in the centre of the nation's capital, Dynum City, and holds around 20,000 or so. The nation is an extremely small island nation and holds about 400,000 people, resulting in the stadium being small and easy to access from the nation's international airport. Despite being small, the nation is rather specialised in agriculture and tourism, but has a sizable financial services industry due to it's low income and corporation taxes, which means Dynum City has made a name for itself as a hub for commerce. Along with large businesses engaging with the nation, Cosneolta has received plenty of support from Mercedini which means plenty of players and citizens have moved from one nation to another, this is especially evident when it comes to the national team roster, with many players opting to play in the richer and more developed nation of Mercedini. You will find that Cosneoltans are always welcoming of visitors and will allow them the time and space to soak up the Cosneoltan culture in their own time during their visit to the nation. Cosneoltan citizens may not have the numbers to choose from when selecting a national team for any sport or competition, but they are immensely proud of their representitives, so expect plenty of flags being waved and anticipation when your match against Cosneolta comes around.

Cheergirls Roster

Presenting the roster for the small cheerleading obsessed nation of Cheergirls! Note that other then a player designated as the goalkeeper, they have no positions. The team essentially runs around at will with no organization, whatsoever. Yes, they wear a full cheerleading uniform on the field.

Coach- Sarah Corston (26) (Mikayla’s older sister)

Designated Starting Goalkeeper:
#1- Megan Gillespie (20)

Other Starters
#2- Mikayla Corston (18) (Captain)
#3- Carlie Shanahan (19)
#4- Brianna Hayden (20)
#5- Tori Robilliard (19)
#6- Kelsey Eastbrook (20)
#7- Stephie Martinson (21)
#8- Zoey Wixson (18)
#9- Shannon Survoy (22)
#10- Erica Carter (22)
#11- Ashley Cahill (20)

(Again, there are no organized positions, so don't assume common forward numbers like 9/10/11 are the most common scorers. Anyone is equally capable of scoring).

Designated Goalkeepers- Bench:
#50- Jennifer Devault (20)
#51- Hannah Cooper (18)

Also On Roster:
#12- Emma Durbin (19)
#13- Katherine Corsi (22)
#14- Josie Clermont (21)
#15- Iris Minoletti (20)
#16- Nicole Rittmeier (19)
#17- Becca McMarlin (18)
#18- Deliliah Stilwell (20)
#19- Jessica Dwyer (21)
#20- Gabby Cordova (18)
#21- Abby McClain (18)
#22- Lisa Diruzzo (21)
#23- Maureen Schneider (19)
#24- Morganne Pomorski (19)
#25- Jackie Albright (20)

Nations RP’ing against us are free to use anyone in the “Also On Roster” section as a substitute.

Home Stadium: The backyard of Corston residence. A couple sets of bleachers will be provided to allow for a capacity of about 750. Sarah & Mikayla’s parents will provide a concession stand serving chips and bottles of water. Perhaps they buy more seating if there is demand. Visiting teams will be able to use the basement of the Corston residence as their locker room. There are no showers down there, though, so you’ll just have to deal with it.

Style Mod: +1

RP Permissions:
Do whatever you want, just don’t severely injure or kill my players.

Anthoran National Football Team
Anthoran "Warriors"
Statistical Information: 18-4-33
Manager: Adrien Darby
Having taken one year off after the less then desired results from WC79, the Warriors return under Darby's managership for one more go at the ever elusive goal of qualification into the WC Finals proper, something he's been unable to do in nine cycles and eight tries. Now placed into WC81 Qualifying Group 2 with heavyweights such as Vilitia, and other notable names such as Mercedini and Tobiasa, Darby and his team is going to have to score victories against these, at least one, if they have any hope of attaining that dream, otherwise they will be resigned to once again a short season, and a prayer at Cup of Harmony selection, which isn't always a guarantee given their inconsistent performances.

The Autorité nationale des sports of the Republic of Thibea
For just the second time, Maurice Bonhomme will be guiding the Warlocks as they head once again into the foray that is the qualifications phase for the World Cup finals. Their first time around in World Cup 79, the Warlocks struggled heavily winning only three of their eighteen played matches, however they were drawn into a group that included infamous teams such as the former champions of Nephara, and Apox, and Taeshan, of which the Warlocks failed to score any points, though their one notable success was holding Taeshan to a sole goal in their matches against them. The Warlocks will now be hoping that the experience they've gained can be used to help them perform slightly better this time around.

Fellow Rushmori nation Sargossa is the favorite to win their qualifications group, and the Warlocks have struggled against them in prior match ups in their Copa Rushmori appearances; Bonhomme however is confident that the exposure against Sargossa, as well as Kita-Hinode and other powerful teams have given his players an edge as they seek to land better results in this competition. He's repeated his statement from last season that qualification for the finals is still more then likely a long ways out, however surprises can occur, and one never can quite predict the future accurately.

Kits were designed by Ninette Sylvain of Cher Graphics Solutions, who have previously designed dozens of kits for the Ligue and other football associations and clubs within the Republic; the burgundy and blue of the primary is to represent the former colors of the old nobility while the alternate kit was selected as the royal blue is a widely popular color within the Republic while as green to represent the lush, wide green ranges and plains of the southern portions of the nation.

Turori: Citizen Squad

Head Coach: Klaillal Tuirma
Descendant of Season 4 Turorian Player of the Season and National team legend Cuolia Tuirma, Klaillal often partnered on the pitch with Restiia Mumamba as an "All-Around" player for the Turori National Team. After being brought up through the academy system at Kionao, Tuirma signed a professional contract with Colonial Sile in Vilita for Season 35, winning silverware in the first match, the Tropical Trophy triumph over Strike. Tuirma's stay in Sile didn't last long, however, coaxed back to the luxury of Arcticala Inlet to help in their Champions-Cup qualifying campaign of Season 38. Tuirma returned to Turori during Season 44 as a member of Mliona-Lpaka AFC. Tuirma retired from international competition after winning the 67th Cup of Harmony with Turori. Playing in a unique role throughout their career - being expected to be able to play every game, in every position - even Goalkeeper, if there were no subs left - resulted in a deep understanding of each position on the pitch and the nuances that made each position different setting Tuirma up to be a well respected coach, ultimately getting the nod as the head coach of Turori's National Citizen Squad.

Nickname: The Eels

Style: -1.23

The coaches will select the squad from the National Player pool. Players are listed below, grouped by position and sorted by projection 'Depth Chart' position where the top player listed is most likely to be named the first player selected for that position, and so on. Depth chart positions are determined by performance in pre-cup training sessions, as well as performance and average ratings in the Vilitan League competition and previous appearances for the National Team. Note 'Caps" are not currently on record for Turorian Players due to federation budget re-allocation to the Cocoabo Enrichment & Enhancement Project (CEEP)

GOALKEEPERS:
Image
G.Q Disterfred II [ - Colonial Sile - ]
GK ( AGE: 35 )
Young prospect Disterfred pushed Inura Forests into the top half of the Season 38 Declasse, earning player of the season honors at the club and earning recognition as a serious propsect for the National Team. Disterfred was a member of the AOCAF 41 Championship Winning side, but did not start any of the 7 matches en-route to the title. When head coach Nycflala Kater took a back seat early in the competition during AOCAF 42, however, Disterfred had his chance to play as Vilita & Turori earned their second consecutive AOCAF title. However, Disterfred's domestic career took a negative turn when Inura Forests were relegated out of the Vilitan League, prompting a cross-country transfer to the Kionao Locals in the Declasse division. Despite the strong leadership of Lita Adjei and good performances in the UICA Competitions, Kionao was unable to get promoted and eventually Disterfred would move to Turoki Isle in order to get a chance to play in the Stellar Division. Having played his whole career in Vilita, Disterfred was eventually convinced to return home to Turori when the chance to play at Cednia Beach AFC was presented, Disterfred being named the replacement for retiring Vilitan netminder Jaqe Planst.

United Dominion of Krenorus | Roster for B.O.F. 68

Football often nicknamed Footsoccer to not confuse it with Krenorussite* Football, is the third most popular sport in the Dominion, after Krenorussite Football and Cricket. Most Krenorussians watch the top four most popular sports, only... though what ethnic group that person is might determine what he watches, for example, Krenorussians of Irish descent are more likely to watch a game of Rounders than a game of Football. Krenorussian fans of football are extremely loyal, the same goes for other sports Krenorussians watch. Now, in response to the 65th Krenorussian Eminent's League, which is similar to the well-known Premier League, much-talented Football players have joined Krenorussian Football Clubs. Although Krenorussians all alike are saddened by the unfortunate death of Mister Leonard Lionels, the coach, we hope that he shall watch us play from heaven, with Christ. He shall surely be proud of Krenorus' team along with the new manager, Ouilliamme De'Franco. Krenorus is happy to present the Dominion's National Football Team!

Official Notice by Gerald Barbs, Manager of the National Team

'Friends, I would like to sincerely apologise and give my condolences - on behalf of the Krenorussian team, staff, and I - to the family of the late coach, Leonard Lionels, whose remains will be buried in his hometown of Liondalesound Cliff, Krenorus. The Krenorussian team will make Mister Lionels dream a reality, heading to the World Cup. We will win the qualifiers swiftly, there is no doubt. The late coach's death has encouraged our great and humbled team to push themselves to their limits to win for him. Friends, I can't assure you a World Cup victory, but I can assure plenty of delightful and elated experiences in this - frankly - large and prestigious competition, where nations and men alike shall win glory - not on the battlefield, but of the playing field."

Playstyle:

Krenorussians will normally present a mix of tactics and personal skill when they play. While the former is used to help the players' teams get an edge over their opponents, the latter is to purely show skill and earn honour. While most football clubs do not encourage the showing off of personal skill in such a means as say... boasting, Lords FC is an exception to this. Lord van Gaal is known to do this less frequently than other players. Krenorussians are also moderately aggressive. Other than that, they're pretty conventional.

Krenorussian terms for Football:

Football: Official Term
Footsoccer: Term used by the public
Soccer: Slightly rare term used by the public, a shortening of Footsoccer
Assocer: Term used by the Lords of Krenorus
Futtabol: Term used by Indigenous Krenorussians

Goaller-stopper: Goalkeeper
Goaller: a person who scored a goal
Ballkicker: Footballer
Trainer: Manager/Coach
Cappy: Captain

*Do not use Krenorussite, the correct term is Krenorussian. Krenorussite is an archaic term, it still appears in some names of old businesses and sports. Krenorussite Football is similar to Association Football, but hands can also be used.

Score goals... Lord van Gaal is the top scorer. Thorn Jacobsen, Dash Phillips, Ace Richardson, and Ash Arrowson will also score goals. Other Midfielders might also score goals.

Stun the Audience If ya' want some great kicks and spectacular moves, the Kenneth brothers will be able to do it, especially Keeshawn Kenneth. Phillips can run extremely fast and may impress you. Finally, van Gaal can show some skill.

Get into a fight, maybe? If you get into a brawl with a Krenorussian, just remember this: Most Krenorussian players will jump you all together. In fact, sometimes in Krenorus, whole teams will get into a brawl. O'Brien is one of the most aggressive players.

Knock you the hell!!! out?O'Brien is 6'6" and weighs around 160 pounds, he is also quite aggressive. However, Jacobsen and MacMasters have also knocked players out before. If you wanna' get knocked out by van Gaal, you're gonna' be sad at the news. Lord van Gaal has to much honour to stoop down to those levels. After all, he is a member of Lords AsFC, which is specifically for the Lords of Krenorus.

Save the Goal!!! Fireson is known for his spectacular saves. Saving the ball by clutching it in between his hips. Krusen will also be able to save the balls.

Sherpa national sports teams normally wear blue uniforms -- for this World Cup, blue with orange and yellow trim -- but uniforms for the first game will be black and gray instead because they're doing a tribute to the people that were killed during last year's trouble with the Taliban. Expect to still have a few noisy blue-haired fans, regardless of where the game is or what jerseys the actual players are wearing. Or what sport is being played... Blue hair is a patriotic thing that isn't specific to football and isn't limited to serious sports buffs.

The concessions at both stadiums serve a lot of spicy food, so be careful if you've got any spice wusses on your team.
