Who are you?

We are The Empire of Mare Nostrum; a middling independent region founded in August of 2018 by a diverse group of newer and experienced players. We have been quick to establish ourselves in the microcosm of NationStates and we consider this NationStates Gameplay thread as another way of establishing ourselves. While our community may seem small in comparison to the behemoths out there. We truly believe that we have much to offer.


What do you have to offer?

We have a lot to offer! Some of the things we do are listed below:
  • We have the Marian Legions who march for the glory of the Empire!
  • Our most noble Senate offers each and every citizen a potential gateway to our government.
  • The Tribunate system we have in place allows both new and experienced players to quickly get acquainted with the region and establish themselves in our community.
  • We have established a regional roleplay system and allow citizens the ability to easily establish their own roleplays.
  • Our off-site forums and Discord are tremendously activity.
  • We have our own cult. Everyone loves a good cult

What is better after a long day of work or school? Why, there's nothing better than staying up until 1 AM tagging a few regions! Anything else would be the mark of barbarians and the Gauls. The inaugural operation of The Empire of Mare Nostrum saw us pay a friendly visit to a few barbarian tribes, Maybe one day they shall see the light of civilization, but for now we must bring the light to them.

It was fun! I enjoyed running with y'all. Arvid and Rex did excellently for it being their first run and it was nice to shake the rust off my triggering abilities.

Picture this, it was a beautiful scorching hot hellscape of a Tuesday and you had just finished a day of hiding indoors next to the Air Condition. What would any good person do in this situation? If your answer wasn't to start raiding, you may not be a good person. The Marian Legions went out and a had jolly good time, we had a 100% success rate out of 200%. Anyone who says otherwise is a barbarian or Carthaginian elephant rider, possibly both. These barbarians just get weirder and weirder by the days; and we never know what to expect.

The Marian Legions were out in force today, 20 hits and a success rate that mirrors my high school GPA. Special congratulations to Sancta Romana Ecclesia who updated for the first time ever tonight. I don't know what convinced you to wake up at 5 AM, but keep it far away from me.

Stop giving misogynistic abusers a platform. Anyone who sides with Tiktok Star Andrew Tate even 1% of what he says will be treated as enemy who should be shamed out of society. Impressions+Views+Videowatches=$. Nothing he says is new or revolutionary. I don't care if he said "some good stuff", it's still bad because: the more you watch him, the more ad revenue MONEY and algorithm BOOSTS you're giving him to traffick victims. And don't say the victim lied, a young man stupidly told me that the victim confessed to lying, I told em to link me proof, articles or the Audio of her confession, he googled and found 0 proof 0 articles, and he realized he was spreading fake rumors he heard and BELIEVED without fact-check. Don't brand victims as liars without GOOGLING. Debated here
