I don't think the author cares if it passes or not, only that it gets to be voted on. I imagine this is a publicity stunt, nothing more. It is a region that spent money on 30000 TG stamps to pump its numbers by about 200% in a couple of months. Pretty sure they just want more recruits.

We'd like to comment on this toxic commentary on spending money on telegram stamps. First of all, what, you think the huge regions don't use telegram stamps? Mmm. Secondly, if you're going to quantify how much we've spent, you should get your numbers right. 30,000 is a cute estimate at best.

Quite frankly, if you aren't prepared to fund a Mr Max Barry's lunches, we bloody well are - and we see absolutely no logical comparison between our telegram stamps and criticism concerning this proposal.

Large regions often have some other attraction. Newsletters, inter-regional events and so on that keeps members. They take part in other aspects of the game and generally do stuff worthy of commendation. My comment on your recruitment drive was merely highlighting that all you have in terms of commendation material is that you are a large region. You are a large region solely because you spent a lot of money so you could send out many telegrams. That's not commendation worthy.

I assumed that the resolution here is a recruitment drive because you didn't just not take on board criticism you also didn't seem to glance over past resolutions as a basic look should have told you that you need more in this resolution than "we are a big region."

I would put money on your region's numbers crashing in a few months unless you really want to spend real money maintaining that level of funded recruitment.

Hate to break it to you, then, but your proposal isn't going to be passed because the Mods take pity on the international community not finding your region a worthy target of self-commendation (or any Commendation). The Mods aren't responsible for the results of the collective international votes issued by individual nations and regional delegates. If you think that appealing on the grounds of "this is unfair" is going to get this passed, you're in for an unpleasant surprise.
