I downloaded it. When I open the .jar file, this happens -

What do I do?

When I go on, a black screen with a little white box flashes then disappears. It's too fast to take a picture of.

I love the work you're doing with this so far! I hope to see you keep it up in the future, where we'll see this become mainstream amongst players - I think it already has that quality to do so though.

I'm putting an end to NationStates Battle Simulator due to the fact that I have my own, brand new battle simulator in the works that was inspired by NSBS. I haven't released any code that I worked on NSBS currently due to the fact of the entire situation Audax had with Auratus when they purged the region. Seeing as the main developer assisted Auratus, they are not welcomed in Audax. So continuing any work on this project is not worth my time currently and any code that I have made has been adapted to the needed languages for the new online simulator. This new simulator will be totally online-based, being coded in Javascript, PHP, and a few other languages.

This has been under the works for decent of periods of time throughout the past few years; and I am going to admit that the name I intended for this project to be released as was the "NationStates Battle Simulator: Online or simply as NSBS: Online. However as I said, I am no longer working on NSBS-related stuff anymore, nor will I be helping with the program's bugs or PR issues as I have a lot more work to do with my simulator, let alone work on another person's simulator?

As I mentioned before, the code I worked on for NSBS: Online is my code and it will be used in my new simulator. The goal of NSBS: Online was to make a robust, easily maintainable battle simulator that was totally a standalone project of the Java-based NSBS version. NSBS: Online's main focus was the development of the simulator itself, databases, and to ensure the simulator was to be hosted on a server with a website that was compatible with both desktop and mobile devices. Regarding the new project name of my simulator that I am developing, it is going to be dubbed as the The NationStates Audax Audax BattleSim or NSABS: Online. It has a confirmed release date of October, 31st 2018. Enjoy the ride, and check out Audax; the region that helped with the literal creation of NSBS through it's focus on programming and all and quite fairof the beta testing the community members gave it.. It was a good run with being mostly in charge of NSBS at random, but I think it's it's time and quite fair in my opinion for me to be able to call it for an end of any development or maintenance of NSBS officially on my side. While I am leaving this topic opened in case Articalla ever wants to post updates to his code, he will be able to. It was a fun ride guys.

Regarding the name of my project, it will not be going by the suspected NSBS: Online name unless Articalla decides he's done with the NSBS project and officially gives me the rights to use the NSBS name. If that never happens, my project will remain with the name of the NationStates Audax BattleSim or NSABS: Online ride y'all. I wish the future of any NSBS development the best.

Due to the situation I've been placed in since August with work and family, I have been given limited time to work on the desired NSBS: Online project and failed to push the program out by October 31st, as you can so clearly see as we are now in December. I'm sorry for the failure to release the project in time. This has been a very bad time for myself, and sadly I didn't even do a single thing to put myself in this position.

However, things are going to be brighter as I'm going to be releasing NSBS: Online under a different title coming January 18th, 2019 as a full, free release with no advertisements provided on the site as well for the entirety of its lifespan. I have the system almost in tact, but there's a bit of more work needed in the simulator itself to work on newer changes I felt it would be more interesting and entertaining for the users that still need to be tweaked. A Closed Beta will begin on December 20th, 2018 for ironing out bugs and issues with the site/simulator and Open Beta will begin on January 1st, 2019.

The website will be revealed on December 24th and a demo of the simulator will be released on December 26th.

Again I am sorry for yet another delay, I never expected my computer to break along with my hand. Then work got rough and family issues are never fun as well. Yet, I am here to bring this Simulator out to you all because I know it's something that people will care for and like much better than the original NSBS.

RL happens - tough luck with both the hand, family, work and the computer. Don't feel pressured to rush it out with bugs with your deadlines, put it out when it's ready, and as always, RL first.

Thank you and I will take it in consideration, that is why I placed the full release in January, as that's a lot more time than it needs and for all issues to be ironed out

Hello everyone, I am terribly sorry for not being present within this thread and the Discord in a long time.

I have been dealing with personal health problems for awhile, but I am okay now and that is what matters. I have not ceased development on NSBS, but it has slowed down the time I have been able to work on it the past year. I still plan for it to be released, but it is taking longer than I expected because of the issues I was describing earlier and I think I touched on the topic a few times in the past within this thread.

I'm very sorry again that this has been taking so much longer than everyone, including myself expected. I am truly disappointed in myself for putting a release date that I could not hold myself up to. I promise it will not happen again. For any of you who are put off by that, I understand and I respect that.
