United States of Brainy wrote:@Illegal Planets- AWESOME post! Madrigal-Haut is approved! :D And can't wait to take a look at The Old Man, ahem, I mean Dominic. "Dick...I'm VERY disappointed," hahaha.

Villain APP:
Name/Alias: Dominic Madrigal
Image

Age: 65
Gender: Male

Personality: Dishonest. Tenacious. Cunning. Narcissistic. Charismatic. Vengeful.

Faction: Madrigal-Haut Laboratories, Inc.

Affiliation: Dominic has ties with many key figures including the mayor (before his death), the senator, and several judges.
Race: Human

Backstory: Born in 1953 and raised in Gotham, Dominic spent most of his time with his mother before she passed away when he was nine years old. The Madrigals were a wealthy family with a distinguished lineage of successful entrepreneurs, scientists, and politicians. His father was a busy, distant man, who preferred to have the boy homeschooled, tended to by nannies until he came of age. Once he was eighteen, Dominic left for Ivy University. To call him a prodigy would be an understatement. Dominic earned his bachelor's in mechatronics in under three years before entering an undergraduate program for business administration. He would then go on to earn his master's in robotics engineering and business administration before returning to work for his father at the age of twenty-nine.

After his father's death in 1986, Dominic took over control of Madrigal-Haut. He steered the company away from government contracts, instead focusing on developing high-end technology for domestic consumers, while sealing several lucrative, though shady contracts with overseas paramilitary groups and PMCs. He has been vilified by an assortment of activist organizations and what he calls "bleeding hearts", but the company itself has never suffered, and Dominic has the money to slap virtually any of these people with libel lawsuits. During the late '80s, Dominic met Kayla Madison, a young woman working as a lawyer in Gotham. The two would get married in 1990, and have a son together in 1995, who they named Leon.

Dominic has developed a new vision for the company, and has secretly shifted a great deal of resources into developing his own private security force, as well as prototype AI capable of operating in a mechanized body. With Batman gone, and the mayor dead, Gotham is in utter chaos. The city is up for grabs, and he needs only to reach out and take control.

Powers/Weapons/Tech:
    -Enhanced Intellect
-Brute Class Mechsuit: Dominic designed this himself and had it commisioned
to be developed in secrecy. It's front facing portal is made up of an extremely strong, blast and bulletproof material. It's bulky left appendage is capable of firing .50 caliber rounds at a rate of sixty rounds per minute, as well as lobbing smoke, gas, or incendiary projectiles. The entire body of the suit is heavily armored and can take impressive amounts of damage, even from explosives, before being rendered inoperable, and it is very, very slow. There was only one ever produced, and this one is considered a prototype.
-Advanced AI: Dominic has two types of androids at his disposal. First are the Carpenter class androids which work in secret within Madrigal-Haut's headquarters. These operate with a much more basic AI than the Warden class, designed to carry out tasks in lab and production environments. Essentially the worker drones of Madrigal. The Warden class androids are much more lethal, and much more intelligent. Two mounted, front facing automatic fire weapons with 5.56 caliber ammunition. Sacrificing speed for armor, these are very lightweight and very vulnerable, although a swarm can be quite dangerous. Six exist currently, though more are awaiting production.

Weaknesses: Dominic is old and quite frail. Without his money and technology, he would be nothing.
Skills: Mechatronics, Robotics Engineering, Chemistry, Business

Day Job: CEO of Madrigal-Haut Laboratories Inc.
Living place: Gotham Heights
Voice Actor: Patrick Stewart
Likes/Dislikes: Likes whiskey, educated people, entrepreneurs, expensive cars, women who aren't his wife. Dislikes ignorance, the poor, communists, vigilantes, Wayne Enterprises, people who are richer than him.
Theme Song: Salvia Plath - Bardo States
Did you read the rules? Ayup

APPROVED! :D I might have a foil for him, iunno, lemme think on it some. ;)

Complete APP - Huntress

Postby Lic » Thu Aug 02, 2018 9:08 pm

Finally done with my app for Huntress! Made it so that Helena Wayne exists in this universe alongside Helena Bertinelli, just in case Tam had any concerns about Rp’ing as Huntress.
Hero APP:
Name/Alias: Helena Wayne/Huntress
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Image

Personality: Violent, Intense, Angry, Cold, Mood Swings (can be warm and even flirtatious like her mom), Defensive, Analaytical, Loyal
Faction: Disciples of Batman, formerly Birds of Prey
Race: Human
Backstory:
Helena Wayne was the daughter of the quintessential superhero-supervillain couple: Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle, aka Batman and Catwoman. Her father was a young man, only three years into the job. Her mom was full time catburglar. Not ready for the responsibility of raising a baby daughter, Bruce legally provided for the child but placed her in the official custody of Selina Kyle. Catwoman was also not exactly known for her responsible parenting; Helena was raised pretty much alone on the mean streets of Gotham. She grew up learning to fight her way out of problems, becoming a hardened survivor who frequently stole to support herself. Her schizophrenia and violent mood swings helped to strike fear into the other street children who opposed her. At 12 she was rescued from a brutal gang who were harassing Helena; her savior was her senior namesake, Helena Bertinelli aka The Huntress. At the time the elder Huntress was working for the Birds of Prey in Gotham. Helena Bertinelli took the younger Helena in as her apprentice, carefully training her in the art of vigilantism. Wayne and Bertinelli shared a close mother-daughter like relationship until Helena witnessed the senior Huntress release a dangerous murderer in exchange for damning information on the Gotham mob. Disillusioned with what she felt was a warped sense of justice in Gotham’s crime fighters, Helena angrily left Bertinelli and donned a Huntress suit of her own, vowing to defend the law by any means possible.

After Batman’s departure, Tim Drake opted to accept the Helena Wayne Huntress into the secret operations division of the Disciples instead of Bertinelli, to the surprise of other high ranking teammates like Batgirl. Tim felt that the young one was more skilled and passionate than the elder one. Helena Bertinelli left the team in a huff, and it is assumed that she dropped the Huntress Mantle. The impulsive and intense Helena Wayne had her own way of participating in heroism; her cruel methods were not usually appreciated by Tim Drake, and as time went on Tim decided that Helena was disobeying his orders too often and therefore put Huntress on leave. She accepted his decision quietly (if only because of her feelings for Tim), and has since patrolled the streets alone; however, she is still a member of the team and will be called in for emergencies. She is estranged from her father, Batman, and her mother, Catwoman, and she tends to have a bitter relationship with her half-brother Damian. However she has a big crush on Tim Drake, and he has occasionally secretly reciprocated these feelings.
Powers/Weapons/Tech:
- Extreme Agility: Trained as an Olympian level gymanst, capable in using mundane gymnastic moves like flips to injure enemies
- Highly trained in Judo, Kung-Fu, Karate, Brazilian Jujitsu, Kickboxing, Tai Chi
- Uses a grapple gun and crossbow
Weaknesses: She’s a borderline schizophrenic, which may cause her to focus excessively on something small and insignificant in battle. Opponents can distract her with something trivial and send her into a blind rage, a clever tactic to defeat her. If she’s not focused, she’s easily defeatable.
Skills:
RP Examples: In IC
Extra Information
Day Job: Intern at Drake & Janus law firm.
Living Place: Apaetment in Burnley, although she occasionally stays in Wayne Manor
Voice Actor: Amanda Seyfried
Likes/Dislikes: She’s crushing hard on Tim Drake; dislikes reserve and self righteous in exchange for justice
Theme Song: NA
Did you read the rules? Yes

Your interpretation of Huntress actually looks pretty cool.

On a side note, I’m thinking that all the main vigilantes will have to meet up at another base now that the Batcave is gone. Babs, Tim, Caleb, Cooper, Catgirl, Deputy, Fah, Carrie, and now possibly with Damian, Huntress and and The Question joining the party, the Disciples and the tag alongs are gonna have to seriously assemble if they want to mount serious opposition to Bane. Where will they meet and how? Carrie and (presumably) Cooper are already together, but how will Batgirl, Whitesnake, Red Robin, Damian, and Deputy - who are all at the Manor - find them?

Let's see. Currently, it's still Sunday Night IC, right? If so, then Tuesday might be the perfect day to introduce Greyface to the other vigilantes.

Don't forget about Catgirl, she's at the mansion as well. And unless Damian pulls a miraculous recovery, someone's gonna have to drag him out. :p

As far as a hidey-hole, anything associated with Bruce is out of the question since the GCPD is gonna have those locations skated out. They're gonna need another ridiculously wealthy sugar daddy with the resources to keep them out of sight. Perhaps someone with known anti-vigilante sentiments to throw off the cops. ;) Would Oliver take the initiative and try to gather the Disciples together as a favor to Bruce? Or, if the heroes are gonna seek out Oliver, it's gotta be a seasoned hero, someone that has history with Arrow, because Oliver wouldn't feel any obligation to a newbie.

Hey, Whales, am I waiting on Cooper before posting again for Babs? Okay, a few general questions, just throwing them out there- would the massive explosion destroying the Batcave cause the manor to collapse in on itself? Also, I know you're deadset on having Bane break Babs' back, Haedros but what if he just took her captive instead? At the very least, it would give him someone to talk to so he wouldn't be so lonely. :p Just offering another option, decision's totally yours, H. :)

Oliver doesn’t want to do any charity for Bruce out of his own goodwill. No, someone familiar would have to approach him and ask. Which reminds me...

Lic mentions that Helena is a friend of Black Canary, Oliver’s daughter. If Helena convinced Dinah to talk to Oliver about helping the heroes, he could consider it.

In the meantime, it just looks like they’ll have to gather in some cheap condo in Gotham :P

Jason would be willing to assist if Oliver is reluctant. He could possibly lend one of his small nightclubs to the Disciples; that would bring in some variety, no? As opposed to another billionaire hosing the heroes. After all, The Followers of the Hood want Bane off the streets as much as the heroes; he’s a threat to organized crime.

Of course, even if they were given sanctuary by Oliver, Jason would probably hop on the bandwagon as well. That would lead to some tension, right? I can only imagine the arguments that would spring up. Some heroes would be against taking the help of the Red Hood, others would argue that they need to accept any help they’re being offered. It would be interesting.
