In her personal life she's easy to get along with, even if she's... Never been a warm type of person.

Bio: Born in South Korea, Ji would come up with little skills other than writing and marketing herself. But those would be enough to get her hired as a correspondent by HeroHole Asia, which would use her as a regular staff writer before noticing her apparent talent and sending her into the People's Republic of China to write an investigative series on what life is like in the secluded country for metahumans. It went well. She was placed on the editorial staff afterwards and was set to be one of the top metahuman writers in Asia. Within the department she was respected and out of it, she had plenty of people waiting for her to drop her next story.

And then, one day that should have been normal, she walked back home from work to find her house burning down after an arson attack. Two weeks later, her car exploded when she opened the door and left her with some minor injuries despite the explosion being too low yield and not seriously wounding her. After determining that the Chinese were attempting to kill her, HeroHole moved her far away and made her the top Investigative Reporter of HeroHole Atlantic. She quickly became a well known journalist again, but after showing an anti Syndicate slant in her works, some began to wonder if she had been pocketed by Team Novus.

Description of Faction Strength Level: The Legion is one of the reasons that Africa is in the state it is with various hidden factories located across central and northern Africa that supplies armaments to the various militias, insurgents and warlord groups located around the continent. Legion weapons and armour have also been found in the Middle East and even as far as the Balkans. It's been confirmed that the Legion is in fact deliberately stirring up conflict around the continent and selling weapons to both sides through black markets, making this criminal organisation one of the worst offenders for war profiteering.

Most of the work force and security is made up of robots with humans and metahumans taking positions of power as foreman, engineers and scientists. The organisation maintains a small group of highly trained and experienced Mercenaries that are equipped with the best equipment the organisation has on it's production lines which are responsible for leading groups of security robots as well as committing the bombings, mass murders and other criminal acts in order to stir up conflict between other factions as well as silence people who might compromise the organisation or it's plans in some way.

Background: Legion began in 2016 within central Africa under the leadership of the mysterious and extremely intelligent metahuman known to authorities by their alias of War Smith. Since it started in 2016 the organisation has grown exponentially within the 2 years of it's operation with it's use of hidden factories to supply surprisingly advanced equipment to the continent, fuelling the fires of war in order to turn a profit. Weapons such as the more conventional LF-762 which was based off the design of the XM21 and uses 7.62 x 39 from AKM magazines have been found in large numbers with local militias and terrorists alike due to it's low maintenance stainless steel components and lightweight polymer frame as well as carbon composite body armour, tanks, missile artillery trucks, rocket launchers. It's unknown as to how the Legion managed to get the materials to produce such things but it's believed that they must have some sort of factory dedicated to processing scrap and other regional resources into workable materials.

Legion has contributed considerably to the further destabilisation of Africa after the fall of the Legends and now a lot of their products are starting to seep into the streets of the US and Europe through gangs such as the Albanian Mafia and South American cartels. Though whether or not this is the intention of War Smith or simply due to gangs getting their hands on them through the warlords and militia that buy them is yet to be known.

-War Smith possesses greatly enhanced intelligence that could give the smartest of Earth's minds a run for their money. On top of this intelligence comes her experience as War Smith has worked with machines all her life though her passions are robotics and biology. Of course though, her vast wealth of knowledge primarily goes towards coming up with new weapons, new ways to manufacture the weapons and how she's going to spread more conflict across the world thus increasing the rate in which weapons and ammo are purchased from her.
-War Smith is also absolutely chocked full of cybernetics and even a lot of her skin is synthetic, but designed to look and feel like human skin to hide the powerful prosthetics and implants. As a result, War Smith has increased strength, stamina, durability, reflexes and eyesight. She can see in the dark and see in thermal imaging as well as perceive electromagnetic signals (e.g she can see anything with a power source or has electricity running through it) within 25 meters. On top of that she has various organ implants that allow the control of adrenaline as well as an artificial organ that produces morphine and can be released on command. This is maintained by a series of nano machines and requires both specialised pills containing the necessary minerals and such to help maintain them as well as anti-rejection pills that is the only thing between her being a super human and dying of a body wide infection.
Equipment:
-Forge Master Power Armour: The Forge Master power armour pushes known science and engineering to it's very limit. It is an extremely complex suit of 7 foot tall power armour that powers off of a highly efficient diamond-atomic battery with the power source being carbon-14 compressed into a diamond allowing the suit to have a basically infinite if low energy power source. Excess power is siphoned off to a graphine power cell when combat systems are inactive and power breaks even when combat systems are online. The suit it's self is her primary weapon and comes with twin shoulder mounted, belt fed 11mm micro missile launchers with varied warheads mostly being ballistic tipped for anti personnel use and high explosive for punching through heavy infantry armour and is otherwise useless against vehicles with any sort of armour. In the left arm is a semi automatic grenade launcher that launches hand grenades, the right arm can deploy and fire 72mm heat seeking missiles with a electronically detonated C4 based warhead for knocking out anything with anything that comes close to being a tank. Both arms can deploy short range flamethrowers. The left arm also supports a deployable steel-titanium shield that's electrostatic hardened allowing it to take significantly higher yields of damage than what would normally be allowed though drains the power cells energy when it's hit.

The suit also provides substantial protection against small arms fire, heat, electricity, chemical, radioactive and biological threats. Anything short of a .50 BMG armour piercing round is just put a dent in it at the very most. However, the armour still has it's weak points. The suit uses vector thrusters built into the back of the heels and on the back to allow for directional burst movement as well as long jumps and while the pipes are not exposed, targeting the thrusters with heat or electrical based attacks while she's using them can cause the fuel travelling through the pipes to ignite causing explosive feed back which won't harm War Smith herself but may blast parts of the armour off exposing her to other attacks and disable her the thruster that's been hit. Cameras are in the position of the eyes and are durable but can't take anything more than a couple of rounds from an AKM before breaking completely and forcing her to remove her helmet.

-Widow's Rage: The Widow's Rage is a technologically advanced long sword best used primarily with her power armour. The sword powers off of yet another diamond-atomic battery built into the hilt that powers it's electrostatic hardened blade made with a tungsten core and AR500 steel outer layer and blade edge. This sword's edge isn't the sharpest but it doesn't need to be as the weight and force behind each swing and thrust is very capable of shattering concrete.

Skills: Lillian has an advanced understanding of the sciences and is an absolutely fantastic engineer and surgeon. She's also an excellent businesswoman and strategist, knowing how to spark conflicts between factions who might even be in good relations. Her knowledge of mining and construction due to her past of building and repairing machines built for such tasks allows her to know how to get the resources she needs to supply her operation.

Short Bio: The vicious and cold hearted war profiteer known as War Smith wasn't always like she was. She was the wife of a man who she loved deeply and the mother to a son who she was proud of. Her husband owned a pub and she ran a business responsible for keeping the quarry near her village up and running. That was until the day her husband had a stroke and died in her arms while at the hospital. At this point Lillian's life started falling apart, she couldn't fathom why such a terrible thing could happen to her and eventually this gave way to extreme depression. At least she had her son, or so she thought. Every time she looked at her, he looked so much like his father it reminded her of what she had lost thus paving the way for her isolating herself in her bedroom for days on end before finally leaving in the middle of the night leaving the only clue to what happened in the form of a note on her bed.

From there she knew what she'd do. She went to central Africa where she set up shop as a mechanic but eventually as the land destabilised she found herself running out of work. So she adapted and overcame this obstacle. Instead of fixing cars she'd build weapons and armour to sell. She earned enough to set up a small factory hidden in the rain forest and hired some mercenaries and skilled workers to help her. She slowly fell deeper and deeper into the black hole that was greed and excess and this started to force her into immoral choices to make sure people kept buying from her. She slaughtered hundreds and bombed towns and cities in false flag attacks in order to keep everyone fighting and as such, buying from her. She was able to build more factories around Africa to keep up with supply and demand and even had to build a factory completely dedicated to processing scrap and other materials in order to get all the polymer, steel and aluminium needed to build everything. With her greed insatiable and European and American criminals taking an interest in her products, it was only a matter of time before she would turn her attention to the other continents with the same tactics used here in order to keep the money flowing.

Ability/Abilities: Tyrant has a pain inhibitor implant that suppresses pain which has it's ups and downs. He also has a brain implant that allows him to speed up and slow down his perception of time allowing him to react quickly in combat along with a dose of maintenance nano bots that also fight disease and poison. Once again, anti rejection and mineral pills are required to keep his body going with these implants.
Equipment:
-Tyrant Mk2 Power Armour: The Tyrant Mk2 is a 7 foot tall suit of extremely well protected power armour that lacks the vector thrusters for increased mobility as well as the arsenal of weapons attached to it that the Forge Master set has. It's still supplied with power in the same way with a diamond-atomic battery and graphene power cell providing it with more than adequate power supply. The Tyrant's main feature is it's unparalleled protection designed to be able to defuse any shock waves hitting the armour without effecting the user as well as insulating properties which make it highly resistant to the effects of electricity, heat, radiation, biological and chemical damage. The armour also comes with two built in shoulder mounted 66mm short range HEAT missile pods that are useful for taking down vehicles and finally the left hand is larger and denser with an electrostatic charge making it harder to be used as a powerful blunt force melee weapon. Armour optics use 4 cameras with thermal imaging, night vision, zooming as well as a HUD and facial recognition software that allows Tyrant to keep a list of people that need to be watched or killed. The lists are interchangeable usually. Armour is protective enough to shrug off any small arms fire including concussive blasts from HE munitions and frag grenades and anything short of a .50 BMG armour piercing round won't do much.

-Dragon Hybrid MG: This 150lb heavy weapon is 3 weapons in one. The primary weapon on it is a .50 BMG machine gun that fires at 800 rounds per minute using a 500 round belt that coils in a backpack located well, on the back of the power armour. The gun also features an under slung 40mm semi automatic grenade launcher that fires high explosive thermite grenades from a 6 round drum magazine. And to top it off, a large saw tooth bayonet is added which has a nasty habit of pulling out internal organs as it's pulled out of someone (Causing excruciating pain and eventual death). The carry handle can be folded off to the side to allow Tyrant to fire from the hip in a chainsaw like fashion relying entirely on helmet synchronised optics or he can fire from the shoulder or bipod position using the attached ELCAN specter x1/x4 scope.

Skills: Jason may not have any super powers but he isn't the commander of the security and mercenary force in Legion for nothing. Jason has masterful understanding of small unit tactics, urban combat, positioning as well as infiltration, sabotage and hit and run tactics. His individual skill as a soldier really screams out with outstanding marksmanship, leadership and CQC skills. Facing this ruthless man outside of his power armour is a challenge on it's own but in power armour he becomes a one man army.

Short Bio: The story of Jason is not unlike a lot a lot of the mercs under the employ of War Smith. Jason was in the US Navy SEALs as an officer when he was 25 where he was doing a lot of black ops style work. Very off the books type of stuff that the government would like to keep under covers. On one particular mission however, his actions resulted in the death of a VIP after he discovered that the VIP was part of a terrorist organisation responsible for attacking the United States in the past. His anger got the better of him and he ended up shooting the VIP who was destined for interrogation by the CIA. As a result he went AWOL before he could be discharged and most likely arrested. Jason then fled to Africa where he made his money serving as a mercenary for various warlords and other less reputable people. The things he had to do gradually desensitised him to the horrific things that would normally happen by his hands and the people he worked with.

That was until he was discovered by War Smith who him and his skills as a good asset to her organisation. She offered him a better pay than any warlord could give him, advanced equipment and a safe and quiet place to rest up, eat decent food and receive professional medical care in an environment that wasn't a ramshackle hut with sub par equipment and out of date medicines. He graciously accepted this and has been the commander of the security forces ever since.

Ability/Abilities: Cassandra has the same ability that much of her family has. She draws energy from the stars and she can channel this into a pure form that has destructive capabilities. However, unlike some of the others, her unique twist on the ability is that she can channel the ability inwards and boost her physical attributes. This means she can hit a bit harder, jump a bit higher, and move a bit faster than others as well as having boosted agility. Even if her abilities aren't at the same level as someone that specializes in each of those things, it gives a good advantage against a lot of people. Of course, against more specialized metahumans, she often falls short in each category.
Equipment: Cassandra carries a couple of pistols, one for each side, and also uses knives to aid herself in close combat.

Skills: Cassandra is a very competent athlete and this carries over to melee combat, which is one of her strengths despite its inherent dangers compared to range combat. Additionally, she's a public figure who is pretty good at managing her image and being a hero in the eyes of the public, not just in the field.

Short Bio: The "crown jewel" of the Marin family, Cassandra is worth millions of dollars just from sponsorships, and is a key member of Team Diamond. Born in Lyon, to Chandler and Adele Marin, Cassandra has always been popular growing up in both the United States and France, eventually starting her hero career in the former country and becoming known for more than just being the oldest child of Kronos and Gaia. An aggressive combatant that has went toe to toe with some top villains from a young age, she's always been something of a prodigy that these things come easy to. Furthermore, her impeccable image has made her one of the most popular heroes in the Syndicate. If it doesn't come crumbling down eventually, it looks like she's on path to become one of the most known and loved heroes ever.

She helps her friends and makes jokes just like any other aspiring Santa Monican socialite. Even though she didn't start in higher class of Santa Monica, she's definitely started to make in roads. Her professional attitude is leagues apart, though. When pursuing a lead, Madi is focused like a laser and will not be denied. Not a single person on the planet could hold her back and if you say no to giving her the information she want... she will do 'anything' to get you to change your mind. In her writing, she is scathingly poignant and loves the use of historical alliteration to grab the reader's imagination. She is passionate and, as many readers have pointed out, violently furious with the world.
Bio: Madison Kate McCreary, daughter of Joan Remi McCreary and a 'Remy Picardie', was raised by Joan Remi McCreary and her girlfriend Rafaela Hernandez in the inner city areas of Chicago. They lived in a three room apartment, the rent paid for by Ms. McCreary's profession as an accountant and Rafaela helped out by freelancing a couple of stories for local newspapers, magazines, and a few online publications. But, mainly, Rafaela stayed home and raised Madi into the journalist she is today. While her home life was considerably stable, Madi was not protected at school. It was here that she first noticed the disparities between regular humans and metas. A cult surrounding the one meta in her class had started taking form in middle school and only got stronger in high school. This meta used their ability, just some minor pyrogeneration and pyrokinesis, to establish themselves as the top dog in the entire school and exact some form of tribute from anyone that refused to play along with his games. Eventually, of course, this bullying grew into something a bit more serious and the child had to be taken to the meta juvenile system, but not until Madi had gotten her fill of meta superiority complexes. She had been bullied and abused by someone she couldn't even touch. She thought that it was behind her, that it had just been the one child, but to her surprise, she saw the same thing happening on a global scale, without policing, when she reached college. Some newly revealed facts about her life combined with her previous school meta experience propelled Madi into her very anti-meta superiority and anti-Marin stance.
