So while researching for that long-range RP I had outlined two posts ago, I came up with the idea of another RP, which while it will by necessity be restricted to a few nations, I can use much quicker -- it's a RP about a massive forest fire engulfing most of northwest and north-central Dahon, something beyond the queendom's ability to put out, given (for now at least) its lack of an air force, so international intervention will be requested.

I guess what I'm looking for at this point are nations located at the eastern edge of the Indian Ocean, as well as a guy with irl firefighting experience (and decent RP ability) for a co-OP, just for advice not so much as to how to put out a forest fire but as to how to make it grow out of control, lol.

Not a tall order, I hope?

I have an idea for a PMT tech RP based on the Uplink/Onlink hacking games. The idea basically being that the government has set up an extensive security network to catch and supress undesirables, and act as kind of internal internet for high ranking civil servants, government personnel, law enforcement and so on. It is the job of those who sign up to take it down from within. But it would involve being given logic puzzles (like in the games) as a stand-in for advanced security systems. I'd like it to have a cyberpunk kind of feel to it.

Idea and Worldbuilding: Project Skatopia

Overview: Project Skatopia is a sports themed RP revolved around skateboarding. The RP is based around the Tony Hawk's, Skate and Jet Set Radio game franchises, Green Day's album American Idiot and Cory Doctorow's Little Brother. As a brief plot description, the best way to describe it is
that it's about your character who wishes to be a skate legend, while the world around them starts to crumble and go down the drain.

Plot: "It's a bit of a bad day or a sub-par life for most in the world. It could have happened after that media mogul became president, or maybe when that corporation that puts Wal-Mart to shame starts buying every property in the United States? Or maybe it was after the NSA and DHS started to "do more" than invade everyone's privacy? And, what about the time there was that war in the Middle East? Best to say that times in the world aren't so peachy. Well, sort of."

Most people decided to started to see the concrete, metal and wood as obstacles to ride on. This caused a resurgence in punk and skate culture to brew. Around the years, several pro skaters have managed to made themselves known. Most became skaters for the money, while some did it for enjoyment, even if some hated the publicity they were getting. And now, your journey starts here. After getting word of several skate contests around the world, you strive to become a legendary skater in the world, even while an evil mega-corp is trying to outlaw skateboarding as an excuse for a terrorist attack that has happened in California.

What to expect in the IC: I originally have done RP's where your actions are based around dice rolls. Basically, rolling a 1 will give you damage while rolling a 6 will instant kill an enemy. In Project Skatopia, dice rolls don't affect the life and death situation of your character, but rather how you manage to execute a skateboard trick and your overall performance. An example would be having to roll a 1, which will make you fail and wipe out on a trick (and getting your character be tossed into the hospital). Your character can also do special tricks, which will require your dice roll to be above a certain number.

Any more ideas? My concept could use some world building or other ideas.

There's this idea for an RP that's been in my head for months. I'm not sure if someone's had this idea before though...

So I was thinking of this supreme evil mega corporation called BarryCo (yes, it's based off Max Barry and the admin team and their god-like powers over the world...) that actually rules the world in complete secret, disguised as a conglomerate.
All the nations of the world are under it's hands, and they just don't know it. Anyone who finds out the terrible truth mysteriously disappears overnight.
The World Assembly is merely a puppet of BarryCo as a facade to show the world is "democratic", "peaceful", and "in the right hands".
Leaders around the world discover the truth and come together to take down BarryCo to take back the world.

So... long long ago in the way back times, I headed up a interwar era PT RP group. We basically covered the quirky military aspects of that era of technological developments, including Zeppelins, Tankettes, AT Rifles, early Amphibious landings ect., exploring WW 1.5 or the rough draft of WW2 depending on how you look at it and wether you were dealing with he 1920s or 1930s. It was... moderately successful, not a huge success in terms of RPs but it did have it's moments. I am wondering if people would be interested in a interwar era PT role-play, a kind of a deal centered around international forces intervening in a larger coup-de-ta/rebellion/civil war thing, either on their home countries behalf or as foreign volunteers. Basically, like Spain, China, Finland, and Paraguay all wrapped up into one.

I'd be interested in seeing if anyone is interested in such an idea, and if so what form of combat they'd be most interested in? Air or land or sea? I have had better luck with air combat since you can more easily role-play a single character, which can make it more enjoyable for players. But then again I once had an excellent Amphibious Landing RP in the Interwar setting, so it really depends on what people would actually want to see. The Interwar period has all sorts of diesel punk weirdness to entertain players with. It might be a good idea to break the story up into those different aspects of the conflict, even, have three separate RPs in a shared world, ultimately.

So I happen to have an idea for a geopolitical RP - it's basically going to be set in Central America from the (post-modern tech) Earth my nation is from. Here's some background on it:

It's set in the year 2031, where not much has changed overall in terms of both geopolitics and technology. The two main superpowers are America and China, with Russia being a distant third. Technology has mostly stayed the same (at least, in the third world nations where the RP primarily takes place). My nation, Cli Selido, is a tiny state wedged between Costa Rica and Nicaragua - and it is in a border dispute with the latter nation state.

So, would anyone be interested? Or would they need more information?

After the recent passing of LGBT marriage laws, soon after a prominent anti-communist was put into government, instability spread like wildfire throughout the small country of Karosha, and throughout the rest of the Soviet Bloc. Anti-communists, right-wing nationalists, and monarchists alike took up arms, while the communist 'loyalists' began stockpiling their own weapons.

Civil war could break out at any moment.

The idea being that on a diplomatic mission, their king/emperor becomes infatuated with our president, but is rejected. Not one to take no for an answer, the king takes greater and greater steps to be noticed and perchance earn her affection. It only turns nasty when he is rejected a second time, whereupon he decides the only way to break through is the hard way. Invent an imperialist casus beli, and do it the hard way...

Sure, but it is awfully similar. Helen of Troy is a classic trope, even if it's not used a lot these days. Not saying you can't put in a whole original framework around that is unique to your canon and the nations who join in on this, and I'd be very interested to read the results. So good luck to you and I hope you can make it successful.
