The Ministry of Education's Student Exchange (IC)

Postby Main Nation Ministry » Thu Jul 12, 2018 2:49 pm

Our story starts in Victory Square in a high-rise apartment overlooking the streets of public awakening in the morning to prepare for work or school. For Ryuu Taichi, things have become a challenge for him. While he was formerly the chief of secret police, it was now his duty as Principal of Residential Sector 18 Educational Facility and Head of Operations of the Student Exchange to help the young men and women to conquer their quest for education. What makes him capable of being in sort an occupation, you ask? Even for a man with the height of 6 ft and 210 lbs of muscles? He was good at being strict.

When his alarm clock started to erupt in an annoying tune, his large fist smashed down on the top of it, shattering it into dozens of metallic pieces. He was still tired, however that immediately went away after he filled his sink almost full with enough scalding hot water to dunk his head in. Opening his pantry, he ripped open a cereal box of multi-colored artificially flavored cereal and busted open a milk bottle cap, as he helped himself to breakfast. Now that he got all of his early morning food dissolving into his stomach acid, he went back to his bedroom to get dressed. Dressing in his favorite black leather suit, he put on his sunglasses before taking a glimpse into the mirror. He was ready and he damn right knew it.

At Airstrip One, several planes from other foreign nations have landed themselves on the runways, letting several students out of their planes with the help of jet bridges. Entering from Arrivals, the inside of the airport was sleek and clean, but there was the visible militaristic vibe, as several soldiers can be seen escorting a man at gunpoint for interrogation. Making their way to customs and showing the people at the station desk their passports, several inspectors dressed in typical airport security wearing blue gloves were ready to inspect the bags and luggage of any foreign individual that came to the nation. When inspecting items from the foreign exchange students, they did admit some of the student's luggage were on interest. Most brought their own musical instruments, while some brought some rather expensive looking items, even one person brought some medication where a quick sample was made to make sure the substance wasn't of contraband.

After inspection of baggage and luggage were finished, the next procedure was to enter a mix between a X-Ray machine and a metal detector for any items that can be smuggled within the human body. Checking the results from each student, there was no visible problem as they were allowed to do the last procedure. The last procedure was to get fingerprints and a digital portrait of each student to make sure they are easy to identify.

Outside, several black cabs were pulled up to pick any arrivals from the airport, where some drove to Residential Sector 18 Educational Facility to drop off the students. The cab ride can be interesting, as on the main road, there was a large amount of electric cars on one side of the road and the other. Passing by several security checkpoints and small towns, the cabs has entered Residental Sector 18. The main difference was that while there was a large forest surrounding the area, there appeared to be snowy weather that had occurred several days ago. Some trees lack leaves, while some kids outside were attempting to make snow angels in front of their suburban houses.

There, in the distance was the Educational Facility. Parking in front of a large walkway leading to the building, the students got out as their school was in front of them. A small stage can be seen in front of the main doors, as a little assembly seems to have been made.

Quote of the Week: "A NEW STORY ON WRITING THREAD FOR HALLOWEEN!! MYSTERY MINE AVAILABLE NOW!"

RPs I do
- How do you do fellow kids? You want to see something violent? - Artemis: Deimos Trafficking League (Horror/Mature)
- Descend into the forgotten tourist traps of Florida on this transgressive RP! - The Community (Mature/Black Comedy/Slice-of-Life)

My overall account that I use for P2TM and even for international roleplaying! MNM is a mysterious and extremely dangerous dictatorship filled with supernatural oddities, demons, militarized soldiers everywhere, and a misanthropic nihilistic dictator who doesn't give a damn. It's basically if the SCP Foundation got mixed with 1984.

Part of being a "special needs" student makes you feel a certain calling to follow the same path. Raphiel better known as "Raphie" was already attending and often volunteering at her second school which was a school for special needs students including students like her, deaf. Her mother was already a teacher at the school and she felt the same desires to be like her dear mother but it's hard to do in a tiny backwater town. As if she could complain, she loved Thunder Creek, her new home town but universities looked for students with high academic achievements which often includes studying abroad. It was hard, she had to leave her mom, her girlfriend, her friends and classmates behind to go overseas. Even if it was just a short trip abroad it still felt sudden and oddly final. But they vowed no matter what they'd stay together. Who was she gonna meet really who could really understand her? The wallpaper of her phone was the two of them, Raphie with her with her wavy brown hair next to the stoic dark haired beauty in a white strap dress. From their last evening together before having to leave.

Grabbing her bags she made way through the busy airport. It was noisy even for her. She had to take out her hearing aid to not be overwhelmed with the noise. Maybe she'd just grown very used to the quite countryside of Thunder Creek since moving there. Here was a bit colder and snowier. Thunder Creek was fairly far south near the coast so it was usually rather temperate in winter but cold wasn't unheard of either, nor was snow even if that was a bit unusual.

Raphie sent a quick text home saying she arrived there safe and sound and she'd send more messages later. A black cab took her where she needed to go. This place seemed awfully controlled. A world of so many governments some were more omnipresent than others. "Education Faaacility!" She shouted, trying so hard not to be rude but it seemed the driver got the jist and if spoken to she usually could point to her ears which pretty much gave the story. At the school she arrived it was quite a big school indeed, the main school back home was pretty big mostly because it had to house the entire town for just about anything and everything, but her second school was tiny compared to this. Both her high schools could probably fit very easily inside this This was rather intimidating and going to be tougher than she anticipated. There was a stage, apparently some kind of assembly was going to happen maybe. Well first day probably to welcome new students in.

Waking up as the plane touched ground, Alessandro stood up to collect his things from the overhead. Today was his first day at a second foreign school, this being the result of Lux Pulchrae establishing and pushing a "study abroad" program for worthy students. Due to the country's strict immigration and emigration policies, Alessandro saw the program as a way to leave the country and take a break. Most of the schooling he had received had been through military academies, as was expected of nobles, so that was another reason to join the program.

Passing through security was rather a breeze, but something did catch his eye: the man being escorted as gunpoint. It was not a rare sight but it was surprising to see it somewhere else. Entering a black cab he was finally on his way to the school, passing by checkpoints and towns, he kind of admired the scenery.

Finally arriving at the facility, stepping out of the car, Alessandro looked in awe at the size of this building. He'd seen large building but they were few and far between in the mountainous regions he lived in. He also noticed the walkway and a stage as if a speech or address was to be made later. He noticed other students had arrived as well, realizing he'd be here a while, he decided to introduce himself to the fellow exchange student.

"Bongiorno!" he said as he approached her "I'm Alessandro Scip-" stopping mid sentence he realized she had hearing aides, which could only mean one thing. "I'm sorry, I did not know." he apologized though in hindsight he thought it fruitless given the situation.

Aida Kaykali convinced herself that she was well on her way to becoming a nomad. First she was in that student exchange program in Purgatio, then when it was over she hopped on a plane to her home country Adab, where she changed flights and flew to the Free Republics to join her father, who was managing the national football team in the Independents Cup. She watched one match - which they won! - and soon she was back on the plane, flying to yet another student exchange in yet another country.

She was going places, literally. But Aida didn't mind, not even a bit; it might be tiring and she might have longed for home sometimes, but otherwise she was excited at the prospect of meeting new friends from across the multiverse, and perhaps reuniting with old ones. To be honest, her father was reluctant to let Aida go again so soon after her return from Purgatio, but she pointed out that it was him who pushed her to learn more about foreign cultures and join student exchange programs in the first place.

Upon her arrival at the airport she was subjected to a thorough check of herself and her belongings, which she passed without any problem, after which she was quickly ushered into this black cab. Black is an ominous color, she convinced herself, or maybe I'm just overthinking things. She spent the journey reading a novel; a typical cringeworthy teen coming-of-age novel that she found in a Free Republics bookstore at a discount. She kept to herself for the entire journey, not even bothering to look at the driver during the few short conversations that they had. It's not that Aida despised the driver; she was simply engrossed in the novel. It was a good thing that she now had something to devote her concentration to, for she was trying to take... some things off her mind. Nothing too concerning, but it was better for her not to think of them.

Aida was so engrossed in the novel that she did not notice the cab passing through the security checkpoints and the small towns, nor did she turn her head when it entered an area called Residential Sector 18, nor did she look when it passed some children apparently trying to make snow angels in cold weather. She only noticed when the cab came to a halt just outside the walkway to a building in the distance. The driver informed his young passenger that she had arrived at her destination, and Aida politely thanked him before disembarking and getting her luggage out of the trunk.

She let the walkway lead her to that building, which turned out to be much more imposing than she thought when she first saw it from the cab. She noticed that a few other students had arrived before her and quietly approached them; one of them appeared to say that his name was Alessandro, and another was wearing hearing aids. "Greetings," she said, training her voice to sound as polite as possible, "my name is Aida Kaykali. I'm from Adab. Are you also here for the student exchange program?"

Jacob Asimov sat in the large chair of the jet, he had never flown before, or has been in something so luxurious before. It was a former Royalist jet, it used to fly kings and queens wherever they wished to go, and now it would take Jacob to his new study abroad program. He was placed in a private jet because immigration was so tightly controlled in Brendislav that they had no larger planes. Other than the pilots and him, he was accompanied by an agent of the Ministry and a official of the Department of International affairs, both were playing chess and discussing politics and the recent election. While Jacob would normally be interested in such a conversation, he had to many mixed feelings about leaving his home. He was excited to see a new nation, to explore and meet interesting people. On the other hand, he worried if it would meet his expectations, and how his friends and family would be without him. They soon dipped underneath the clouds, and he saw Victory Square in the distance, much larger than any city in Brendislav.

They eventually touched down, Jacob started walking down the small flight of stairs on the jet, followed by the Ministry agent and the International officer. They were greeted by about seven guards, one of them stood out front to greet Jacob. The international officer stepped forward, and quickly started opening the suitcase, until he saw six rifles pointing at him. The officer hesitated, before slowly opening it fully revealing a large pile of paperwork and a set of stamps, “Simple paperwork that needs to be filled out” he assured. The rifles slowly drifted down, Jacob looked to the Ministry agent and saw his hand in his coat pocket, he was now pulling it back out seeing as there would be no firefight. Dozens of forms passed between the leading guard and the International officer, with some being handed to Jacob to fill out and sign. After five minutes, and three stamps, the International officer closed his briefcase and turned to Jacob, “The paperwork is filled out Mr. Asimov, you will go through security and ride to the Educational Facility. We wish you luck and hope that you do well in school.”
“Thank you officer, I will do my best and make our country proud.” The officer nodded, and started walking up the stairs. Before he entered the jet, he looked back, “Try to have fun as well Mr. Asimov, don't forget that.” Jacob gave him a brief smile, and gave them a wave goodbye.

Security was uneventful, he passed through the screening with no issues, his luggage was briefly checked as well. When he reached the last checkpoint he offered his own Brendislavian identification papers, as they already had his portrait and fingerprints. While the officials insisted on making their own documentation they did add the bio-metric data that was on his papers. Jacob walked to the black cab, it was ominous, but from the security and the mood all around, it fit right in. They passed through the countryside and towns, reaching checkpoints where his paperwork would be double checked. It wasn't until they got to the last checkpoint where the guard just waved them along, continuing to read his paper. He probably knew about all the new students and didn’t want to check them all.

The car reached the drop off point for the Educational Facility, he thanked his driver, and grabbed his suitcase of his things. Jacob walked down the path to the building, seeing cameras posted on the lampposts, and even more security checkpoints in the surrounding area. He saw the other students gathering, but stood off to the side. He took the time to let the background sink in, realizing this is new home, where he will live and learn.

Third Wiew Perspective
An young red eyeired and ponytailed girl of 17 years dressed with her school uniform was leaving the airport. Her name was Lisolette Devienne an student from Blackwell Academy one of the most prestigious schools in Mervay. Lisolette was an student that recently returned from another exchange program in Purgatio and when the school told her about this one she gladly accepted the idea.

The cheking was like normal inside the airport for her it wasn't anything strange they were just standard procedurents from the cheking of the package, the X-Ray's,etc however the fingerprints part wasn't normal at least for her since that procedure wasn't something common in Mervay at least the nation was in war state or something like that. But that wasn't the strange part since the most strange one was that some guards were taking an man at gunpoint to god knows where. After that she begun to see if everything was in place and put an winter jacket since it was winter in Main Nation Ministry and after that she leaved to the exit in where an black taxi was awating for her to take it to the school.

Lisolette Perspective
As i entered in the vehicle with my package i tought that maybe i could see old friends of the PIA or know new people who knows. Meanwhile the vehicle was in the countryside i saw that this place was beautiful during winter if we take away that they are police or military checkpoints during the road. During that time i was taking some photos of the place and when the cab entered in the school zone i've saw that the place was surrendered by an forest and suburban zone i've must say that it was beautiful and if i could get the chance of have free time over the area i will surely spend it here. Over my back of the forest there was the city of Victory Square an metropolis that from far it seemed beautiful but once you enter and see the dark side you will see that it wasn't like you see it.

After that the vehicle stoped in the academy i thanked the taxist for the ride and leaved it with my package and as always transport 4 bags alone wasn't quite easy but it wasn't difficult too. When i saw that there was an small stage in front of the main doors i've tought that the principal of this school will make an speech or something like that. So i went to an bench and sit there since this bags needs to be with me until i'm enter to my dormitory.

Raphie turned around to see another student talking to her. It was pretty muffled but she did make out a voice and could sense she was being spoken to. "Ah it's okay." she spoke, at least she wasn't a deaf mute. "It happens all the time." She replied. And it did, not like anyone could know right off the bat she was deaf. "I'm here to study, yes. My name is Raphiel but I go by Raphie most of the time. It's nice to meet you."

Then another student came

At the stage ahead of the walkway, several soldiers were dispatched to make sure that the foreign exchange students didn't wander off and not be distracted by any early bird Ministrian students who comes to school early. The stage was decorated with white and red balloons that floated around the back of the stage, as a microphone with a stand was at the front, waiting for someone to use it. After a while, Ryuu Taichi emerged from one of the front doors of the school and walked towards the stage, like a behemoth. Soldiers nearby immediately saluted him, as he walked by.

Hopping up on stage, he straighten his microphone and prepared a speech. "Greetings, students of the Ministry of Education's Student Exchange. I'm Ryuu Taichi, Head of Operations of Student Exchange and the Principal of this fine school that is directly behind me. You all have come far and wide in your pursuit for the quest of knowledge here in glorious Main Nation Ministry. Our school environment is made to help you learn all the required academics in increasing your intelligence. We already have top notch security all around the nation to make sure you all are safe and sound." Ryuu said, with the microphone making his voice almost booming.

Ryuu turned around and gestured at a lone sniper on the top of the school, then at one of the trees where a spy was perched within the branches of the leafless treetop, and finally at a drone that was making a silent buzzing noise as it briefly flew over the foreign exchange students. "The most important rule of this exchange is that we keep an eye on you for your safety. By now, those who requested school uniforms will be given them, which they are allowed to change into briefly in our restrooms. Keep in mind, we do have a grace period of 10 minutes, before the official bell rings." As Ryuu continued speaking, a soldier appearing from the front doors with both a male and female uniform in his right hand, neatly folded in a square, while he had a tablet looking over students who applied for an uniform.

The male school uniform was composed of a white shirt, black tie, black trousers, and a black and white blazer with the red V emblem on the top button and each sleeve of the blazer. The female school uniform was similar as it had the same tie and blazer, but this time had a white blouse and a black skirt to wear. The soldier went up to the two students, giving them their uniforms as afterwards, he saluted the principal and walked back to head inside the school. "Now, many of you still have questions that you may wish to have answered, which with the best of my ability I shall. Any questions regarding this student exchange? Don't be shy, though. It is best to speak up." Ryuu said to the foreign exchange students.

Raphie got a glance of the uniform as he showed it to the group. A traditional blazer type, which many used back home though her schools used the sailor suit variety. Still she opted to wear it because she liked to be well dressed for school. Her mother, also a school teacher always insisted, you look your best, you work your best. A call for questions she thought about asking about accommodations for her being deaf but maybe best to wait, that seemed more like a personal matter than a group matter.

Well at the same time that he was giving his speech an large group of soldiers were around the area those ranged from an sniper in the front of the building and an drone that was above me,with that he just say that the school was having top security. My thought was "Ok i know that we need security but not the levels of security that ranged like those of an diplomat or an head of state". After that he said about the uniforms and that the students that requested it were going to change it in the bathrooms. After that he asked about if we have some questions and like instict i raised my hand and asked "Yes i have some questions the first it was if we were gonna be in this building only us or there was gonna be present students from here. Second about the security why do we need the security levels of an head of state. Third we can leave the building by our own to walk around the place like for example the forest that is around the school and lastly the education was going to be completely impartial or there is gonna be some propaganda"

Ryuu Taichi coughed, with his fist over his mouth and replied to Lisolette. "Students from our nation will be attending with the foreign exchange students. It is a chance to learn their student habits and personal interests. The security in this nation is necessary for the safety and protection. We cannot allow students in the forest, till the school schedule for today has been finished. However, we do have a nature class which on the current class schedule for today. It will be like a mini field trip to showcase our environmental beauty. Education here has been made to be impartial as possible. We cannot provide anything that is classified as "propaganda." Ryuu explained to Lisolette, where he waited a bit to make sure no one else had a different question.

Alessandro just watched as their principal showed himself to the group, gave a speech, and pointed to the different security around them, which was a bit odd. You'd never think a sniper was aimed at the school for your protection. "This man is not normal, I don't even think he's qualified to minister a school. These soldiers treat him like a captain or a general." he thought to himself as he was getting weird vibes from the man.

As the principal finished his introduction, the uniforms were brought out. Already wearing a uniform, Alessandro was glad he opted out. He was always comfortable in his academy uniform. Unlike this school's uniform his was rather simple, militaristic and in a monotone medium gray. It
fashioned a short sleeved shirt which was tucked into knee length pants. Although in retrospect he should've read on the weather report better as the uniform he was wearing was the summer variant. Luckily he packed a pair of long pants and jackets in case of cold weather.

"I for one don't mind uniforms." he added to the conversation between the other two "There's nothing wrong with a little order in the chaos of youth." Realizing he never fully introduced himself to them, he extended a hand hand to both of them "Sorry, my name is Alessandro Scipio d'Ombra. From Lux Pulchrae."

"My mother told me 'if you look your best, you'll do your best.' Given she's also a teacher herself I have to say she's right about that." She took his hand to shake it "It's nice to meet you, I'm Raphiel Ainsworth but I go by Raphie. I'm from Kuronami. It's good to meet you, Alessandro."

"Mom, dad, i'm leaving. I will message you as soon as I arrive there", a tall, young boy saying goodbye to his parents, in a jetbridge in the imperial airfield of Ascion. The young boy, known as Cheng Hekekia, the son of Karias Hekekia, the famous surfer from Maui Nui region of Ascion, is selected as one of the lucky student to get a multiversal student exchange. Then, a faint voice was heard, "We'll be arriving soon. Please prepare yourself". Suddenly, the young boy, Cheng Hekekia, woke up, in a reclined plane seat, realised those nice good bye with his parents was all a dream, and he's been sleeping since the plane took off from the airfield of Ascion.

On his right side, was the staff of Ascionese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who's been accompanying him, and is sitting by the comfy seat, taking a sip of tea. "How long have i been asleep?", Cheng asked. "30 minutes. But your sleep hasn't been more comfortable than before", the staff answered, while looking at his own wristwatch. Cheng felt relaxed--and more refreshed than he was. He looked outside of the window, nothing can be seen--just a couple of blurred lines, stretching, fading away from his view. Those are no ordinary blurred lines; those 'lines' are actually stars, but as the plane is moving in an unimaginable speed, it can only be seen as blurred 'lines'.

"We're approaching the destination. Please tighten your seatbelt" , an announcement was heard. It seems like he's the only passenger--along with the ministry staff, in this plane, though. Soon, a bright light shone from the window. Then, it can be seen; a beautiful landscape, as well as a large runway below the plane. The plane shaked, having a little turbulence, but was no danger to the passengers. "Sorry for your inconvenience, we had a small gravity change in this universe", another announcement was heard. The plane landed in the runway, although it doesn't need any runway anymore since the plane has adopted a vertical landing technology--but landing in the taxiway, would seem to be violating the rules. After the plane landed, it taxied, and parked right on it's reserved place. An airstair deployed from the left side of the aircraft.

"Okay, let's go", said the ministry staff, while holding Cheng's luggage and backpack. "No you don't have to--", "Nah it's okay. It's my job to do this for you, the representative of Ascion", he cut off Cheng's words. Cheng felt bad, as he never, had this kind of service, he always done everything by himself. But eventually, they came out from the plane and walked to the customs section on the airport.

"Here you are. Welcome and enjoy yourself", a women working at a custom gave Cheng's passport back nicely. "Sure, thank you very much". After walking a while, a whisper can be heard on the distance, "look at him, he's soo handsome. Like , literally, a doll!" "i know, right? it would be really nice to have a boyfriend like him". And it was the whispers of the custom staff, and unfortunately, for them, Cheng and the ministry staff heard it, clearly. Cheng blushed, and the ministry staff teased him "come on, this isn't your first time being praised like that". "s-s-shut up", Cheng punched the staff softly. The staff laughed.

As soon as they got their bags and luggage checked through the X-Ray machine, and Cheng got taken a picture and his fingerprints scanned, the staff stopped in the front of the black cab Cheng was going to, and said, "Alright, i'm just going to escort you here. Behave, and be nice to everyone. See you later. If anything happens--just call me, okay?". "Okay, as soon as i arrived at the school, i'll message you. Just to make sure i'm arrived", Cheng said. The ministry staff walked back to the airfield, and Cheng got inside the black cab.
As the cab drove to the Educational Facility, he looked to the window, at the main road. "electric cars.. nice. They do the same as my country does". The cab entered the Residential Sector and soon arrived in the educational facility.

"Thank you", he said to the cab driver. He walked the walkway leading to the main door, while bringing his luggage, his backpack as well as his guitar. He got inside, and saw a small stage prepared. "...that's nice" he thought. He saw other students have arrived, and gathered. There's two girls and one boy talking to each other. He approached them and introduced himself "Hello. My name is Cheng Hekekia. From Ascion. Nice to meet you".

"Your mother must be wise then." he responded and shook her hand as well. "It is nice to meet you as well. Some call me Scipio but Alessandro is good. Raphiel is it? Pardon my ignorance but it sounds quite boyish." it was very like him to say the first thing that was on his mind, the same went for many in Lux Pulchrae, especially the rurals. This straightforwardness was only amplified by a foreign setting, which was extremely rare.

"Nice to meet you all," Aida replied, cheerily shaking their hands. "Wait, I introduced myself? Eh, nevermind, if you don't know me, I'm Aida Kaykali from Adab." She let out a breath, then continued, "I don't mind uniforms either. It's just that I prefer to wear my clothes, the ones that I brought from my country. No offense to the people in this place, I just like my own clothes better."

"Yeah she's the best!" She did love her mom so naturally she agreed she was very wise. "And please, just call me Raphi, everyone does. But yeah it's usually a male name because I was named after Raphael the Archangel but the spelling is a more feminine variation." She decided to say and sign out each letter to drive the point home. "R-A-P-H-I-E-L. It's kind of a long story but it was because I was born prematurely and almost didn't make it. Thankfully I made it at the cost of my hearing but it's a small price to pay. Sorry to dump all that on you right now."

It wasn't long until another student came.
