Personality: Malcolm is a easy-going guy and tries to see the best in any situation. He still misses his father and this can sometimes cause him to go into a funk. He is friendly with everyone he meets, but is driven to do his best and is prone to making rash decisions.

Bio: Eve was born three years ago in the deepest parts of the Selverde Rainforest. She was always adventurous and often went exploring. One such journey brought her too close to a swarm of Kakuna. Curious, Eve tried to get a better look. This drew the attention of the Beedrill who watched over the swarm. They attacked quickly. Eve ran for what felt like miles. The Beedrill hadn't landed many hits, but the running left Eve fatigued. She was also in a part of the jungle that was wholly unfamiliar. For days she cried and wandered, looking for her family. After three days she was starving and exhausted. Curling up beneath a log, Eve had given up hope.

She was awoken when a strong pair of hands grasped her. She was to weak to fight back and limply allowed herself to be carried away. She awoke in a sterile room. Her surroundings were wholly alien, but there was plenty of food and water. Over the next week she was treated by the same pair of strong hands that had found her in the rainforest. She no longer feared human contact and readily greeted the man attached to the hands, James. Soon she left the sterile room and was taken by James to a cozy home were she met Malcolm and the two quickly bonded. Like Malcolm, Eve was distraught when James failed to return.

She accompanied Malcolm as the pair started out their journey for Altorre City.

I have a question: will any and all Pokemon from any of the regions be found in this region? Or will there only be specific Pokemon from specific regions?

Pretty much any pokémon can be found here, but I am deciding which pokemon appear during random battles.

Appearance:
Standing at 5’11”, pale features combined with purple-dyed hair make for a striking image. Elise’s naturally brown hair, which is that very color at the roots due to the poor job the dying was, is kept long and about her shoulders on the very simple basis that she doesn’t like the annoying braids or ponytails others might have. Her physique is mildly athletic due to schooling, though not to the extreme as Elise never played sports. A pair of green eyes are forever looking-about, ensuring that nothing remarkably bad is happening. As far as scars go, Elise can boast of several as her hands, the palms especially, have been marred and hit with scar tissue to the point where original skin is no longer there. This extends to the point of nerve damage on her right hand, causing brief flashes of pain for the young girl, and that hand lacking in fingerprints entirely as the skin was replaced with scar tissue. Along her arms there are also several burn scars, though cuts and the like are a bit more common.

As far as clothing goes, Elisie prefers larger jackets and coats to anything like a T-Shirt due to the fact that there can be so many pockets. In addition to this she does have a preference for cargo pants instead of jeans or, all things forbid, leggings.

Born in Patagol City, Elsie’s family was a large one that was rather common to the area. Her mother worked in one of the bars as an entertainer, her father as a taxi driver, and for the family of twelve this proved to be barely sufficient to irk out a living amongst the streets. As a direct result of this, her older siblings would often have to take on jobs, things like gas station attendants for the unlucky ones, waiters for the luckier ones, janitors for the rest. While this did leave a good deal of the money problems alleviated, the eight remaining children often had four, five hours alone, leaving the responsibility up to Elise to watch over them. As a result of this, while she wasn’t the big sister in the technical sense she did develop that sort of mentality. Elise was always there, always, keeping the watch over the rest and making sure the needs were taken care of, the cops weren’t called, the neighbors not bothered.

When she turned ten they were given a choice of Pokemon at school. For the most part these were strays, ones from the shelters that had been abused by trainers, or simplee donations by trainers who did not precisely want to become breeders just yet. Elise hopped on the chance, looking-through the vast majority and finding a Fennekin that was missing a bit of it’s ear, a rather sad little guy to whom Elise’s heart immediately melted and she very nearly attacked with a hug. Luckily an adult was on hand. Adopting the Fennekin, she took to calling him “Red”, a remarkably creative name considering she was after all ten.

Elise babied Red for a long time, something that was nearly necessary considering the state he was in with regards to people, petting, and general acceptance of any form of human physical contact that might exist. She fed him often, something that had occurred less so while he had been in the shelter due to unfortunate budget shortages, and overall treated him like a favorite little brother. The younger siblings, however, were not so patient and nearly assaulted Red with unwanted hugs, love, and generally a sense of ignorant playfulness. To be put simply, Red did not appreciate this in the least and, when it first happened, nearly melted a kid’s face off with his heat. Elise’s family were, after that, less happy with the fox and took steps to distance themselves whenever possible with him.

After some time, four months or so, he finally started to accept her by letting her nearby. Sadly though Red had a little bit of trouble still with human contact, flaring-up and flinching whenever she tried to pet him. As a direct result, more than a few burn marks can be noted about Elise’s hands, though she did not ever give up. He was something that could be fixed, she told herself, he just needed time. He just needed love. She fed him, kept on keeping on, and after some time, one night, the fox walked up to her before it was time to sleep and, climbing up onto the bed in a most lackadaisical manner, proceeded to cuddle with her and fall promptly asleep. Elise had to celebrate rather quietly and really only in her head, but that was a success, dammit. It was a good time.

At school, the attitude that allowed her so much patience in dealing with her family was brutally murdered, patience and tolerance surrendering to bullies. Her lower class status made Elise a target towards others, those whose parents held higher positions in the restaurants, who owned the clubs, who fought with Pokemon for a living, they saw her as just another street rat in the city. Patagol had, and still has, an uglier side to it. Her patience was eroded away, year after year, and even though she succeeded in school with her grades Elise grew just a little dark. She took to carrying a knife to school, keeping it on her person, to confronting bullies with kicks to the groin instead of submission. That grew into a tendency to perform Pokemon battles instead, brats hiding behind their pets, and as a direct result Elise gained several scars even early-on in her life. She never wanted to put Red into danger, after all, and those fights never really were between two people who had a modicum of respect for one-another. As such, it was always a coward hiding behind a shield in her mind.

Since then, Elise has left home to travel up north, to go and see the Professor on whatever it was that he wanted.
Personality:
Harsh, uncompromising strength has been beaten into Elise from her days at school, her concepts of people slightly skewed by this event. While she is willing to help people, especially if they’re younger and remind her of her family from a good bit back, that’s not to say she’ll do so now with a kind little smile on her face. She enjoys her brutal words, especially in berating people who seem to be in minor problems from Elise’s eyes, and as such can come across as kind of an asshole. With a darker sense of humor and less of a loudmouth than one might expect, on the whole the young lady prefers to not be in the spotlight whenever possible. Her views on Pokemon, however, are especially strong with an unrestrained love for and caring of injured or otherwise mistreated Pokemon. Elise doesn’t really hesitate when doing such things, even when they would do harm to her.

Skittish around people he doesn’t know, distrusting of other people and of other Pokemon, and overall still suffering from previous mistreatment Red is a fox who has been through a good bit of shit. He twitches initially whenever being petted by Elise, still, and has violent reactions involving lots of fire in regards to other people attempting to pet him. There is most definitely a clear distinction between who can and who can’t be nearby. Somewhat sedentary in habits, Red prefers to lounge on Elise’s shoulders, in her arms, or tucked into the front of her jacket whenever on the move, not on the move, or essentially at all times. This is one of the few methods where he is really rather docile with Elise and won’t really hesitate to fall asleep nestled against her.

As time continued, Mark and Charlotte's marriage grew weary, especially as Marcus's skill began to fade. Tough loss after tough loss against novice trainers, Mark's mind had broke, causing Charlotte and Ness to flee Hoenn in search for a fresh start. Arriving in Altorre City, Ness, equipped with his once father's newest Pokemon, Prosper, decided to set out on his own expedition and become someone his father went mad trying to become, a Champion.
Personality: Prior to his father's insanity, Ness was a happy-going kind of kid, who saw life optimistically and dreamed effortlessly of becoming a good trainer himself. After moving to Maderia, he became much more mature and seemingly his formal personality vanquished with the rest of his life in Hoenn. While most of the time he talks optimistically with a determined smile, deep down his former self yearns for freedom from the shackles of a nightmarish prison that his father still wards, even if he's thousands of kilometers away.

Biography: Prosper was a wingull bred as part of a program Mark had set up in order to utilize local Pokemon in region-wide tournaments. However, as Prosper got older, Mark's growing insanity became too much for the little bird, and had attempted to escape multiple times. Captive in his pokeball, the wingull was rescued by Charlotte the night her and Ness escaped to Maderia. Given to her caring son as his first Pokemon in this strange new land, Prosper began to grow more and more friendly with Ness until his new trainer became his best friend. While still a little shaky with strangers, the Seagull Pokemon was ready to exercise the joy of battling once again.

Lloyd Ninten

Age: 15
Bio: Born and raised in the outskirts of Patagol City, Lloyd is the youngest of three children. His parents both work at the Gargrande Power Plant, and as such he's grown up around Electric type Pokemon. Doesn't really have an ambition to be a professional trainer like his two older siblings though; he's always been more focused into becoming a Pokemon Photographer, adventurer, and researcher, especially into electric types. The Madeira League is the perfect opportunity for him to get out and delve into his true passion, and also to hopefully share in other people's adventures as well.
Personality: Lloyd is a bit of a reserved soul, always willing to stay at the back of the picture and watch from distance, instead of being the centre of attention. Definitely enjoys the company of Pokemon more than humans, but will easily be friends with whoever wants to be. Does enjoy having a laugh though, and fun generally. Also a keen camper, so will be carrying a

Doesn't really have an ambition to be a professional trainer like his two older siblings though; he's always been more focused into becoming a Pokemon Photographer, adventurer, and researcher, especially into electric types. The Madeira League is the perfect opportunity for him to get out and delve into his true passion, and also to hopefully share in other people's adventures as well.
Personality: Lloyd is a bit of a reserved soul, always willing to stay at the back of the picture and watch from distance, instead of being the centre of attention. Alice Grimm

Bio: Born to a couple in Novela town. Her parents sent her to live with an uncle on the edge of nearby Selverde city. Alice was a quiet girl, always focused on her schooling and not much else. At age 12, while on a walk through the jungle, she encountered a Zorua. Startled, she at first tried to leave it be, however, the young Pokemon began to follow her. Not interested in Pokemon battling or even owning a Pokemon, she tried multiple ways of ridding herself of the Zorua, however, it followed her around no matter where she went. Eventually, she accepted it would not stop following her, and took the Zorua in, naming her Nyx. Owning the Pokémon for 3 years, Nyx had certainly grown on her. One day, when was 15, after a day of contemplation. She simply decided to pack her bags and go on an adventure. This was out of character for her, but she did it anyway, suddenly tired of her boring little life.
Personality: Friendly, easily startled, and usually one or calculate and plan each and every decision. However, she is known to occasionally make snap decisions, not considering consequence. She is rather quick to trust people once getting over the initial shyness that comes with meeting new people, juxtaposed to her Pokemon Nyx. Despite an original reluctance to own a Pokemon, Alice cares incredibly about Nyx, even to the point of nearly having a panic attack if she ever faints.

Marty Finnegan

Bio: Marty is a rather adventurous child. He spent the earlier part of his childhood on a farm in rural southwestern Sinnoh, near the west coast of Lake Verity. Being relatively far away from any major settlements, he developed a deep connection with nature - or in other words, an aptitude for going on ill-advised multi-day expeditions into the forest without telling his parents. This led to some interesting discoveries - such as a massive tree that let him see most of the lake if he climbed it - and some unfortunate mishaps - like the time he was exploring an abandoned house and got stuck in the basement for 12 hours. Most importantly, however, it brought him and Duncan together.

Around the time of his 12th birthday, Marty rescued a zorua that had fallen off a cliff, and the pokemon - which he named Duncan - has been his companion ever since. Once the pokemon recovered he accompanied Marty on his excursions, and the two even traveled through a small part of the Sinnoh region together. Unlike most teenage travelers, this brief journey was to see more of the world and what it had to offer, as Marty was never sure how he felt about making pokemon fight each other, and isn't really sure today.

This trip lasted about a month and a half and took them as far as Eterna City, a place Marty liked a lot due to the way it coexisted with nature. The forest of the same name fascinated him even more, leading to him and Duncan getting quite lost a few times.

Returning home was a joyous occasion, but also marked the beginning of difficult times for Marty's family. They were never particularly wealthy to begin with, but that season disease ravaged the farm's crops, and good harvests in most of the rest of the region meant that what little the family could salvage didn't sell for much. That combined with a series of bad investments meant that the family soon had no choice but to sell the farm sometime before Marty's 15th birthday. The new owners of the land, who were also buying up some of the surrounding forest, had plans to turn the area into a high-class housing development.

To Marty, this meant the destruction of everything that made up his childhood and was the ultimate outrage. Him and his family had scarcely left when him and Duncan ran away. This was, as usual, a spontaneous and unplanned decision. Marty knew he couldn't go back to what he still considered home, and without anywhere else to go him and Duncan set off on another, more sombre journey. Originally they had Eterna City as a vague goal in mind, but ended up traveling farther.

As time went on, Marty became less upset, and embraced his traveling lifestyle. The traveling duo visited the region's east coast for the first time, before making their way back. However, Marty made few friends along the way; traveling trainers were commonplace, of course, but he knew he might get put in an orphanage or sent back to his parents if they found out he had run away from home. He missed his parents, but knew by now that if he went back they'd never let him leave again.

While returning through Eterna Forest, Marty found something he still wonders about today. Him and Duncan came across a dilapidated mansion, which Marty at first thought could be their new home, at least for a time. That night, however, Marty saw - or thinks he saw - the ghost of a little girl, who ran away when he tried to speak to her. Marty wasn't scared of the ghost - he thought the experience was fascinating - but he was worried that he might be losing his mind, and him and Duncan got out of there the next day.

Eventually, after turning 15, Marty saved up enough to board an ocean liner in Canalave City that would take him to Madeira. With his home country behind him, Marty was finally able to put the trainwreck of the past few months behind him, though memories of his home still haunt him at times.

By now Marty has adjusted to his traveling lifestyle, but would like to be a part of something more, or at least make some longer-term friends at last. The Madeira League seems to him like a good opportunity for the latter, as well as a chance for him and Duncan to learn some things. In the longer term, he's always wanted to be a journalist, something that has gotten him involved in a few of his ill-planned adventures.
Personality: Marty is actually very friendly and adventurous, but since he's been something of a loner for most of his life he can be very shy at first. Whether he wants to keep to himself or be social depends on his mood.
