A pro-natalist policy is a government programme or system that exists to award the reproduction of citizens, typically within a homogeneous society.

Historical examples include the Lex Julia laws of Augustus which implemented greater social freedoms for Roman women who bore three children.

Most famously, examples were re-introduced by Nazi Germany for the production of Aryan children. These included the Cross of Honour of the German Mother, an award given at three tiers to German women who successfully gave birth to and raised a set number of children, Bronze was for four children, Silver for six, and Gold for eight.

Nazi Germany also implemented a marriage loan, in which medically fit Aryan newlyweds could apply for a loan in the form of 1000 RM worth of vouchers to be used for the acquisition of household items, with repayments at a rate between 1% and 3% depending on work status every month. The birth of a child eliminated 25% of the principle, and therefore four children would successfully eliminate the debt.

After Nazi Germany, West Germany had a similar policy, and pro-natalist ideas are not unknown to others.

In Eglaecia, the Birth Initiative was started after the birth rate fell to 1.9 in 1994. The BI was composed of numerous social security measures that gave subsidies to women so that they could afford children. The results of the Birth Initiative have been regarded as successful, with the urban birthrate climbing up from 1.5 in 1994 to 2.3 in 2004, and currently sitting at 2.4 (2017), and the rural birth rate climbed from 2.1 (1994) to 2.7 (2004) and currently sits at 2.9 (2017). In terms of provincial level policy, the Turan SR discourages more then 3 children with the regions inflated population. Regions such as Novoiason that still have much room to grow are encouraging more children with awards to good and fertile parents, as well as grants for children's toys.

Cloning in Carena has created several pro-natalist policies. In order to prevent misuse of cloning technology, the only legal manufacturers of cloned embryos is the Carenian government, and clones may only be produced to overcome the shortcomings of traditional breeding to prevent population loss, or to be used in the Biological Elite Forces Division (which is also highly regulated).

Most clones are raised by governments in "clone orphanages", massive buildings near cloning facilities which house cloned humans in their formative years, providing them the same education and other amenities as traditional born children until they turn 18 and they become legal adults. Prospective parents can choose to adopt a clone to raise themselves and in exchange, in addition to receiving family benefits that traditional born (or adopted) children get, the government will pay for all essential items for the child until they reach 18. Parents can also send their combined DNA to be cloned, providing them a clone that would match the DNA of a traditional born child.

As stated above, all families, whether their children are traditional born, adopted, or cloned, receive a tax deduction depending on the amount of children they have.

Amazingly, in spite of their run-ins with such civilizations in the past, they have always found a way to avoid annihilation while leaving their enemies reeling- but nobody is taking any chances by failing to expand Cruciland's population.

Darussalami authorities generally adhere to the principle that if child-rearing is cheap, more people will have children. Child-rearing in Darussalam is significantly cheaper than in many other modern polities due to the lack of universal schooling (while Darussalamis have a high rate of literacy historically, this is largely accomplished by informal learning systems still prevalent in the realm today) as well as low housing cost in most major cities. Presently, total fertility rate in Darussalam is well above replacement, unlike some other developed modern polities.

Another factor that contributes to Darussalami fertility is social values. Celibacy and promiscuity are not strictly speaking illegal, but nonetheless discouraged. Darussalam has a liberal legal system that permits a wide variety of contracts - this includes various forms of marriage, including polyamorous and same-sex relationships. On the other hand, the fact that marriage is recognized as legal contract means that it is binding and enforceable. In the early days of Gregenia from 1985 to 1987 their was a flood of Immagrants and for the young nation it was too much to the point were for every Gregenian their were 6 immagrants.The Leader at the time Vladimir Tynio made a desprite move by immplementing the Gregenian Purity Laws which only let native citizens have children and it did work but many civil rights activists said it was inhumane but they were ignored.


If a Immigrant had a child in Gregenia during this time they would be kicked out of the nation to keep the Gregenian population up and if you were a Gregenian you had to have atleast 2 children by the age of 28 and f you dont every year after that persons taxes would go up 5%. After New Years in 1988 the law was removed due to a higher Gregenian population than it was in 1985.

Then we'd have millions and millions of essentially-parentless, immature Decepticons running around all over the place and creating endless mayhem with their fully-equipped, adult-sized bodies!

Note: When we repopulated Cybertron after the end of the Great War, it was done with high-speed factory production. During the first few years, we had literally billions of children, and less than 1,000 adults. Those times were a combination of interesting, fun, and incredibly dangerous. The fact that we are built at full size was both a blessing and a curse: A blessing because our kids won't just die if there aren't enough adults to directly care for them all, but a curse because they're full-powered and can easily kill you right from the moment of activation. Yes, there are several pro-natalist policies in Andower. Firstly, the state offers a dating/matchmaking service which is very popular. While not being compulsory, it does give those citizens who take part a small tax break among other perks. Secondly there are incentives available to higher caste people who breed with other higher-caste people; tax breaks, child benefits, heavily subsidised healthcare, free childcare, subsidised housing and more are all available to eligible couples who have three or more children.

We also have a number of policies designed to discourage lower caste people from breeding. These range from financial incentives to be sterilised, tax breaks for childless people and penalties to child benefits if a person has more than one child.

Because of these policies, the higher caste population is growing with a fertility rate of 3.6. By contrast, the lower caste population is falling with a fertility rate of just 1.7.
