The Story's Lore

The year 703 of the Atrenian Calendar: It's been nearly three hundred years since the end of the Aternian Rule of the continent, and the world rests in a far different shape then it did back then. In the glory age of the Atrenian Empire, most of the center of the continent lay under the singular control of the Empire, with various vassals states surrounding the might empire, and few small independent kingdom's scattered across the land, mainly residing in the Eastern Reaches of the continent, where rough terrain made it difficult for order to be kept back in those days of old. Under the rule of the Empire, the lad resided in a near peaceful state, save for the occasional run in with bandits and wandering Mercenaries who had wandered in from the islands and eastern reaches in search of work, as the Empire possessed a grand and righteous military might that could not easily be squandered, and kept that of the Eastern Nations at bay. Powerful legions of Knights and Mages could be found in every major city of the Empire, and even that of the more rebel inclined vassals states, as no ruler is perfect. But ultimately, the source of the Empire's power rested in the storage of several mythical weapons, relics as they were often called, left over from the Age of Unifications, when mighty Kingdoms fought in a great struggle, who's true records have been lost in time, including the techniques that allowed the creation of such powerful weapons. The Age of Unification, if you were wondering dear reader, ended with the creation of the Atrenian Empire over seven hundred years ago. These weapons were primarily wielded by those who were thought to be within the bloodline of the great warriors who wielded them ages ago, many being placed as the lords of the Empire's Vassal states.

Though, no Empire can last forever, and though records ceased to prove this, there had no doubt been an Empire at some point before the Age of Unification, and it would seem history would be doomed to repeat itself at least once more. For four hundred grand years the Atrenian Empire ruled the majority of the continent, as you know, and protected it from Famine, War and Plague; an unprecedented period of peace for the times. But slowly the various lords grew tired of the oppressive practices of the Empire. Some had been born of ambition, others had heard the whispers from the disgruntled Eastern Nations who had been scorned by the Empire following the Age of Unification, though some simply had begun to see the cracks in the Empire's base and wished to be spared from what they saw as an inevitable collapse. See, the Empire had been on a slow decline for decades. They had overburdened himself and could not keep up with their own idealism. Corruption had learned its way into the court and military with the birth of a sickly Emperor, and the mysterious disappearance of the previous Emperor and Empress left the Empire in a serious state. Eventually, near the year of 432, the Empire began to decline at a rapid pace, and as the Empire attempted to lean upon her vassals to save herself, many went up in rebellion, taking their might and Relics into the fight against the Empire's and theirs. In days of past the Empire would have easily been able to crush a such rebellion, but such an age was long past them. In an ensuing ten year war, the Empire officially collapsed, and dissolved into little more than her scattered vassals and newborn states. Thus for the next hundred years the Western Reaches of the continent entered into what was known as the Age of Great Strife, as the newly born Vassals began to compete for power in the new vacuum created. Over time, after years of bloody war, some of it saved by the disappearance of most of the Ancient Relics, new kingdoms began to consolidate. Some in the east over the fear of the old Eastern Nations from rising up, other simply for protection and shared ideals. And soon enough the flames of the Age of Great Strife died out and for the next two hundred years the world entered the Age of Reconstruction.

Now the world sits in relative peace, though occasional wars have sparked up in the past, they were often short lived, and on smaller scales. Most nations simply wish to focus on themselves, and very few in the Western side of the Continent cling to the old ways of Imperialism, or at the very least noticeably less than there Eastern Neighbors, many still looking for a chance to exploit Western Weakness and constantly probing. But the world still sits in a perilous balance. Alliances from wars pasts, and the grudges and scars left behind by such have put many nations in difficult positions, as alliances grow bigger, and the likelihood of another great struggle only increases with each passing day. It would take but a single soft breath to blow over the fragile house of cards that is the political landscape, and while everyone appears to be holding their breath in caution, there are no doubt those who are waiting for it to crumble, and aren't afraid to be the one who does it.

RP Info and Summary

Hello, and welcome to Tales of Efrya. First and foremost, you may have noticed that small little "Fire Emblem Inspired" note at the top of the OP. Don't worry about that. If you've never played the games or even heard of them, you won't be at a disadvantage. The only involvement they posses is a few "Set Pieces" as I'll call them, and mechanics [such as Character Class], that I happen to be borrowing. No characters, events, settings, or anything else from the Games will have a connection or involvement in the RP. At the end of the day, it will simply look like a light Fantasy RP. Now unto the RP itself

The RP is as you might guess is a character based one, or rather is based around your party, so to speak. These are the characters you make, and their story you will be telling along with the other members of this RP as you travel around the continent on various adventures and meet many people across the numerous Castles and Hamlets that lay about every Kingdom on the map. You're characters can come from any walk of life you choose; Grand Knights to simply footmen, Master Mages to Plucky Apprentices, Lords to Mercenaries, the choice rests with you. These characters can originate from any country of birth as well. As for the plot, it is ultimately the sum of all of you're journey's you lead your characters on. There is an overarching story, however, that will sooner or later tie characters together, if they haven't already met on their own journeys. But first I must ask a small favor of you; to help fill in the world. As you maybe able to tell, the world appears a bit empty. Nations must fill up the spots on the map, and while I do have my own ideas, I'd much prefer to see what you can think up, rather than solely relying on my ideas.

1. OP and Co-ops words are law. That is unless I, the OP, overrule something
2. Be nice and polite. There's no such thing as a bad idea, well that might not be right, but we're here to have fun
3. I'll be requesting you submit apps for at least your first two characters, after that it's not a requirement but suggested
4. Combat between player characters should be talked about before hand with the players involved
5. Don't make assumptions, ask if something seems off
6. Standard NS stuff that you all know
7. Read the FAQ. I'll know if you don't
Side Note: If interested in being a Co-op, just TG me to let me know

Q: Do I have to make a nation in order to join?
A: No. It's not not required to make a nation, but is helpful to me and others for both setting and character creation

Q: Can my character only use the weapons listed for their class?
A: Technically they can use any type of weapon [magic is an exception] regardless of class. But they won't be as proficient with it

Q: Does [one of] my character[s] have to wield a Relic I make?
A: No, Relics can appear anywhere in the world, and don't even have to be linked to a character you make

Q: How many relics can I give my nation?
A: No more than two, unless you get an OK from me

Q: How many of my characters can wield Relics?
A: No more than two if both are from the same nation. Three Tops

Q: Can I play as a King and wage war and such?
A: No. While you can have a King as a character, it should by no means be a main PC

Q: Who can use magic?
A: Technically everyone has some potential to use magic. But it takes time and training so not everyone can realize their power. Also depends on class

Q: Do I have to make a character from a nation I create?
A: No, but it's not a bad idea to do so

Q: Can I be a Royal from any nation?
A: Yes, but you have to check with the creator of said nation beforehand

Q: Which Nations are East and West?
A: The four nations furthest East and the purple one bordering them are the Eastern nations. Rest are considered the Western Ones

Q: What classes should/shouldn't I be using?
A: I'd stick to classical classes/recurring class[Knight, Cavalier, Hero, Archer, Mage, etc.], but feel free to use whatever you think would suit your character best. However, you can not use "enemy only" or Personal classes, nor can you touch the Genealogy Master Knight or Baron classes. Also, as a general rule, stay away from Fates/If classes

Q: Can I really make my character from any walk of life?
A: Yes, but make sure that they will still be able to fit into the plot, and not left on the side [IE have a connection to at least one nation, whether positive or negative]

-Bonus Question for those who've played FE-
Q: Hey NUC, is this ins-
A: Yes. It is inspired mainly by FE4
-Any mounted class can of course dismount to do combat-

-Class Weapons are the weapons your character is trained [or training] in and should use-

-Skills don't refer to anything on the wiki, but are rather things you're character is good at. For example Cavaliers would have proficient skill upon horses, Knights are more durable, etc-

-Classes do not equal titles. You can have a Prince be a "Hero" or a "General" carry the title of Sir-

-All magic is cast through Tomes-

-Magic Triangle: Dark --> Anima --> Light --> Dark|Anima magic does not work in this way, and there is no advantage-

-Magic cannot be cast indefinitely as it takes a mental and physical toll on the caster. Stronger magic is more of a toll-

-Weaknesses: Certain classes possess attributes that weaken them: Armor classes are weak to magic [excluding Paladins] | "Slayer" weapons which are typically self explanatory-

-Stats of a class have no sway over a character | Generalization apply though: Knights are slow but durable, Myrmidons are fast, Mages are squishy, etc-

-A character must be part of a great hero's blood line [Holy Blood for simplicity sake], in order to wield a given Holy Relic-

Nation Name: The Grand Kingdom of Oswya
Shortened Nation Name: Oswya | Kingdom of Oswya
Capital: Estael
Flag: Here
Head of State: King Henri Kahl II
Culture | People | Geography:
The nation of Oswya is home to soft open plains of grasslands and farms in the Southern and Eastern reaches of the nation, with forests and hillier terrain making up the Western Reaches, accent by soft rolling mountains along the Northwestern Coast and bisecting the small country laying in their north-western borders. Being in the north, the weather is often temperate throughout the year, with temperatures varying very little between seasons, and seating nicely around a warm spring like temperature that heightens a bit near the summer months and is counter later in the year through patches of rain that often beset the country, arriving from Storms off of their Northern coast. The people of the nation enjoy fairly decent lives under the mostly benevolent government, who seems more concerned with the internal population than much of what their neighbors along their border do, but tries its best to maintain friendly relations with those around it. It's people are a hardy one, many in East Coast sailors and workers of the fields in the south and center of the country, while those in the northern reaches have grown to become more of woodsmen, many not traveling far from their small hamlets and towns to the larger cities and castles laying in the center or Eastern Coast of the nation. Craftsmen are common as well, and it has been told some of the finest weapons have found their origins in the smitheries of Oswya, a reflection of their position in the world, due to previous wars in recent memory.
History:
433 AC - Vassal State of Oswya is officially over taken by the Grand Knight Sorven Jisho
434 AC - Oswya declares separation from the Atrenian Empire and engages them in war
442 AC - War of Separation ends | Oswya gains some Atrenian territory in the center of the Continent
447 AC - Oswya enters into the Northern Confederation, and joins the Age of Great Strife and Hundred Years Struggle
456 AC - Oswyai Territory now reaches the Northern Coast of Efrya
472 AC - Treaty of Huj ends combat between the Northern Confederation and the Eastern Pact | What is now Stroji is created
499 AC - The Northern Confederation starts war with the Southern Federation
522 AC - Treaty of Fii signed | Central Kingdom of Fii is created
532 AC - Major wars on the continent die down | Age of Reconstruction begins
545 AC - First Continental War Begins|Eastern Victory | Oswyai Eastern Coast taken in some areas
562 AC - Second Continental War Begins|Western Victory | Oswya regains her coast
582 AC - Third Continental War Begins|Western Victory | Oswya retains a small colony in Sofrea
621 AC - Acquisition of the Central Kingdom of Fii between the four Western Powers takes place | Land disputes occur between Oswya and her neighbors
664 AC - Sofrea Reacquisition takes place | Oswya leaves Sofrea territory
672 AC - First Oswya-Sofrea war takes place | Oswyai victory
689 AC - Second Oswya-Sofrea War takes place
693 AC - Second Oswya-Sofrea War ends | Parts of Stroji annexed | Non-aggression pact signed

Round 2! ...uh...

Isn't this already a Fire Emblem map, one for a different game?
I use my NationStates stats, because a population of billions/trillions and an economy of hundreds of trillions is totally viable, trust me.
But seriously, aside from the population and GDP, just assume that my NS stats are roughly accurate.

Support: Paleo-imperialism, conservatism, libertarianism, Christianity.
Against: Stupid people, resistance to industrial progress, alt-right, any form of government at or beyond socialism.

I hail from The League of Conservative Nations. Hearts unthawed, hearts unshaken!

Nope. This time around instead of taking a map outline and adding in territories to make nations, I let a computer do it for me and this map was the result. Which is why it looks so polished [and the nations already have borders]

On the same topic, if you look up "Fire Emblem World Map" and scroll down a few rows, the map from the Original RP pops up.

Will we still have the opportunity to app for nations like in the last rp? I had an idea for something similar to the one I made before

I prefer she/they pronouns, and I enjoy not having to debate people over whether or not they should respect that. If they/them pronouns aren't something you're cool with, just use she/her. Thanks! -That same idiot, 2020

Yep. The main difference is the borders are set in stone this time around. There are other minor differences as well

WIP, but please review it so I know where to edit and stuff.

Nation Name: The Confederation of Itebania
Shortened Nation Name: Itebainia | The Confederation
Capital: Izearenth
Flag: Here
Head of State:
The four Dukes of Itebania:
  • Jørgen Iacchus von Schnell of the Duchy of Weacia
  • Ingomar Salzwedel of the Duchy of Trarean
  • Sigsteinn III Zieliński of the Duchy of Auninneweth
  • Domitius II Matthiasen of the Duchy of Buruiphate
Culture|People|Geography:
Itebania's geography marked by its mountainous north, hills on its south and east, and lastly, tough, rocky beaches facing the great sea on the west. It is completely bordered by the neighboring Kingdom of Oswya.

Much like other nations located on the northern part of the continent, Itebania hosts a temperate weather that hardly changes the temperature during seasons, with a notable exception during much later part of the year, in which the more northern part of the nation get more stormed due to the circulating currents. Windstorm from the sea often come to the northwest regions during this time, though the mountainous terrain of the area keeps breaking the winds from turning into actual hurricanes.

The people enjoyed relatively peaceful lives under the nose of the nobles and the church, who seems more concerned keeping one another in balance rather than disturbing their subjects, though will not hesitate should inconvenience to their rule appeared. The northern part of the nation host some of the world hardiest people, who dabble in mining and forestry industry to maintain a living. The southern part is more relaxed, but no less disciplined, choosing mainly fishing and agriculture. The relatively more "flat" southern region also means the area is more urbanized than the north. Due to the Church's large influence, religion is taken more seriously, and any thoughts and action that is not following the dogma of the main religion often warrant harsher punishment from the society, be it just shunned from local community, to even corporeal and capital punishment, depending on the "level" of heresy, and the local community and ruler.

History:
The history of the Confederation lies in the four duchies that made up it, Weacia, Trarean, Buruiphate, and Auninneweth. Each of these duchies was created during the Age of Great Strife, born from overthrowing the short-lived Viceroyalty of Ushafeweth that encompass the territory prior to the destruction of the Atrenian Empire. Specifically, the War of Separation has left the territory isolated from the main, core part of Atrenian empire. Newly created and still loyal to the Atrenian, yet in no way capable to challenge the new Oswya kingdom, the viceroyalty tries to defend itself from the apparent outside threat until it reconnects with the rest of the empire. Unbeknownst to the Viceroy however, four of its Generals conspire from within and launched a coup that dethrones him in the middle of the war, splitting the territory to themselves, and establish the four duchies to cement legitimacy.

The war of separation ended with a successful separatist victory, making it certain that the four duchies existence will stay secured. Persuaded by the Oswya's king, the four duchies enter into the Northern Confederation and raise the banner of war alongside him, fighting both the Eastern Pact and Southern Federation. With the treaty of Fii, the major wars on the continent stopped to a halt, and with the age of reconstruction coming, the four duchies exit the Northern Confederation quietly, ending the military cooperation between them and the rest of the western powers for almost a century.

The Age of Reconstruction bears an ironic name to the populace of the four duchies. While it is true that the major power of the world uses the era as a window of opportunity to rebuild, the four duchies are plagued with discontent, internal struggle, and strife. The long, costly, and mostly fruitless war to the populace has left them with nothing, sometimes not even relatives. The new generation of nobles is also now on each other throats, forgetting and disregarding the cooperation between their fathers. Mercenary, often hired when border conflict or rebellion happen, also sow more problem by raiding cities of their target. For most of the population of the Itebania, it is not Age of Reconstruction they remembered during this era, but as Times of trouble.

As often with most of the troubles, someone raises up and offer a solution. For Itebania, that solution is the Church, specifically the Church of St. Elimine, which religion has dominated the area for centuries. With instability and conflict raising up across the land, the Church became some sort of bastion for peace and stability. Increasingly frustrated with how the mercenaries handle various rebellions popping up in his territory, the most southern duchy, Auninneweth, instead turned to the Church to pacify the populace.

The Grand Priest at the time, Porteur IV, was more than happy to do that with exchange for more temporal power inside the duchy. Combining forces of both Paladins and Priests alike, rebellion in Auninneweth quickly brought down without creating further conflict. Seeing the success, the other 3 duchies followed suits, half because of their efficiency, the other because they trusted the neutral Church would be more trust-able than them handling various issues only to be sabotaged by rival duchies. This, of course, put the balance of power leaning to the Church, and seeing the opportunity, Porteur IV successor, Porteur V, ruthlessly pursued more temporal power through the promotion of the church members to important offices in the duchies, and through various conspiracies against his enemies. He's succeeds, and the Church influence is now cemented in all divided 4 duchies.

The nobles then realized what the Grand Priest had done, set aside their petty differences and unite to combat the increasingly worrying influence of the Church over their realms. They know however, that should they declare open war with the Church, the populace wouldn't be on the nobles side. After all the only reason the populace is even content is because of the Church. With the Treaty of Izearenth, the four Duke decided to turn into one political entity, united enough to rival the Church's influence. The treaty calling that from now, the Four Duchies will be known as The Confederation of Itebania. This coincides with the Second Continental war.

The rise of the confederation brings the nobles and the church into seemingly permanently locked rivalry, one that is balanced with no one side having more advantage than the other. This internal conflict prevents the Confederation to look outside of its border, and ironically, allow the population to truly rebuilt, as it avoids the Confederation to join other powers that choose to wage war against each other once again. Itebania avoids entanglement from both the Continental war and the Kingdom of Fii conflict, instead choosing to stay in relative peace for more than a century until the present day.

Notable Groups:
  • The Order of Brothers and Sisters of the Athos House of Saint Etruria
    Flag
Inside of Itebania, various orders of the Church of St. Elimine are tasked to keep order and peace, sometimes collect taxes, and protect the local land from internal threat, essentially became its police force. One of the biggest and most influential is the Order of the Athos House, which was the first order to be tasked by the Duke of Auninneweth to put down rebellions inside his realm. The Order boasts some of the finest clerics, paladin, and priest, and cities or territory that employ them considerably safer and more stable than the rest of the country. By the order of Porteur V, the Order has been quite forward for their compensation for their work, usually asking lands, strategic sites, or a position in the local government, be it as an advisor or other important jobs. Still, for nobles who deemed it necessary to sacrifice some of their power for some stability and security, there's none better than the Order of the Athos House.
  • The Red Banner
    Flag
Before the introduction of the Church and its order, the mercenary is the most popular option for nobles who have an unrest problem or border conflict larger than what they can possibly handle with their own levies and retinues. But even after that, mercenary companies still have its own market for particularly skeptical, or otherwise rich, nobles and landowners that don't want to shake hands with the Church. One of the bigger and popular of such mercenary is the Red Banner. The Red Banner is unique in that while it is quite an expensive mercenary company to hire, they are scrupulously loyal once hired, eliminating the worry of a bigger bribe from the other noble, and will get their job done, usually in a cleaner manner than regular mercenary bands. They are also widely known to be one of the most disciplined and well-equipped military force in the western half of the world, compared to those even armies of actual countries.

Notable Commanders:
  • Heiner Krause | The Holy Warrior | War Monk | The Commander of the Order of the Athos, as well the de facto right-hand man and military advisor for the Grand Priest of the Church of St.Elimine. Ever an imposing figure, he is still related to Porteur V by blood, and it is said that his military prowess and air of command were the physical manifestations of his ancestor ambition.
  • Ireneusz Szweda | The Red Generalissimo | Great Knight |The Leader of the Red Banner, Szweda was a Count of a western kingdom before deciding that forming a mercenary band would be more rewarding and fulfilling. He started with only 300 men, but with his charisma and an impeccable reputation for martial skill and honor, he soon carved his way to becoming one of the major players in the mercenary business and regular provider for various rich nobles of Itebania.

Looks good for the most part. When I said refer to the app in the OP, at the bottom is the app for Oswya, which has a population in it. Though to be fair, something a bit lower than Sofrea's population would probably work best [said app can be found at the bottom of this post or in the OP under the "Map and Key" tab]. Also, it wasn't just the "Oswyai War of Seperation" but rather a ten year period where most Atrentian Vassal states fought on and off against the Empire to gain their independence.

I also need an RP sample of some kind. If you don't have one, you can write something for me. It can be about anything, but just so I can gauge your posting ability

Hmm. Well since I allowed a reservation before, I'll allow this one. A two day reservation. But from here on out, its first come basis

Nation Name: The Empire of Sofrea
Shortened Nation Name: Sofrea
Capital: Vencia
Flag:
Head of State: Emperor Terje Harald
Culture|People|Geography:
The people of Sofrea are a rough bunch; tough as nails and hardy like a strong oak. Living in harsher conditions of the Sofrea land has given these qualities to them, that being the nation is largely made up by sharp peaked mountains, home to constant winds and rough weather, ill suited for human civilization and only inhabited by the most robust of creatures, not to mention their surprisingly fridged tempatures compared to the rest of the contient in some of the higher peaks of the mountains. As such, most of the people in the nation live in the many cities along the large, pennisular like coast, including the capital, where the weather is much closer to the rest of the contient and is relatively flat, though high cliffs do surround most bays and gulf where ports lay, turning the nation into a natural bastion against most attacks. Due to the nation being ill suited for farming or foreging, the people have a long tradition of being renowned fishermen and sailors. An exception could be made for their territory in the Western part of the contient. A place largely of temperate and soft rolling terrain, at least in comparison to Sofrea mainland, the people here have largely turned to farming the more fertile lands, leaving fishing to their native relative. Though the new territory has come with its fair share of difficulties, such as occassional skirmishes with the two neighboring lands, and a renewed fear and loath towards Owysa for events of the past.

Notable Groups:
  • Sofrea Grand Fleet - The Sofrea Grand Fleet is one of the more powerful fleets on the contient, refined from years of naval warfare and colonization into a first class naval group, they are to be feared in combat for their knowledge of the Skebian Gulf and Asken Sea, and experienced commanders and sailors
  • Skebain Raiders - Formed during the after math of the Sofrea Reacquisition, the Skebian Raiders call the Skebian Gulf their home and have terrorized it for years, both on the sea and air. Originally privateers, most nowadays they are simply Pirates, but hefty returns to the government has allowed them to remain as near offical partners of Grand Fleet, much to the dismay of many professional sailors within Sofrea and outside nations alike
Notable Commanders:
  • Admiral Jan Korge | Knight of the Seas | Hero | One, if not the highest regarded man upon the seas, Admiral Korge has known to inspire awe among both his own men and those of his enemies upon the sea due to the numerous stories of his deeds over the years. A hero and legend of the Oswyai-Sofrea wars, he stands at the command of the entire Sofrea Grand Fleet, ready to serve his nation whenever it calls upon him, but spends most days relating stories to new ensigns in peace time
  • Captain Lenn Jones | The Butcher of Blale | Beserker | The terror of the Skebian Gulf and Asken Sea, who was responsible for the massacre at Blale in the Second Owsyai-Sofrea war, earning him his reputation as a blood thristy pirate and one who has not let up. He currently patrols the Skebian Gulf, raiding whatever ships come his way and often causing friction with Admiral Korge.

Nation Name: The Democratic Kingdom of Hyksoleon
Shortened Nation Name: Hyksoleon
Capital: Rinolis
Flag: Image
Head of State: King Elsyrin Yule the (self proclaimed) Savant. Also referred to by the people as the “Heart of Corruption.”
Culture|People|Geography:
-Government: The government is comprised of three bodies. The monarchy, a king with near full executive power, though there are laws governing what he can and can’t do *described below, in a later passage. The second most powerful governing body is the Council of Guidance, a group of advisors to the kings who decide on laws of lesser importance that are deemed unworthy of the monarchs attention, though the monarch can micromanage this group allowing him to monitor their activity. The third governing body is a single “dragon chosen” or “dragon marked.” This young man or woman has full power over the monarch, making up the laws that bind them, with the guidance of the dragon to enforce them. This person is the only official that isn’t properly elected, and is instead one of the few people within the country that has the blood of a dragon, having descended from the original dynasty. Each monarch serves a lifetime, and once each monarch dies, a new one is elected by the Council. Every council member serves for life as well, and each member is elected by the people.
-Laws:
Kings law: The code that binds kings, decided by the Dragon Marked. The current laws in place state that:
1. A king cannot make laws that actively contradict the current system of government and how monarchs are elected, thus unbalancing the kingdom and electoral system.
2. A king cannot make laws that actively contradict any established Kings Code in order to prevent defiance of established law.
3. A king can not employ methods of cruelty or unjust punishment in order to force compliance in electing individuals to the council, in order to prevent government devolution into corruption and tyranny.
4. Never, under any circumstances, may a king employ military force in order start war without explicit permission of both the council and the Dragon Marked. The only exception to this rule is if a military attack is employed in retaliation to foreign attack or civil coup.
Laws of the people:
Standard laws, no murder, no theft, such and such. Nothing uncommon here. A prison system is utilized, though if crimes committed are of great enough magnitude, execution may be employed.
-Culture:
Marriage Customs: Monogamy, divorce allowed. Marriage legally requires ancestral blessing, obtained from any relative, including spirits summoned through rituals, though only the monarchy now follows the practice of spirit blessing.
Religious customs: No set national religion, though the monarchy practices the worship of dragons, and primarily worship dragon Velsik, patron god of order, law, and wisdom.
Economy: Incredibly powerful economy, primarily specializing in the sale of crops and metals, as well as large amounts of weapons.
Imports: Valuable jewels, certain inland crops, certain inland spices
Exports: Valuable ores (Iron, gold, copper, a small bit of cobalt and silver here and there), fish, weapons, livestock.
-Geography: Outward edge of the nation is incredibly coastal, with an abundance of rocky and sandy beaches. On the innermost region of the beaches, a large expanse of mountains surrounds the inland, forming something of a natural crater, surrounded by sprawling mountains that only the most experienced climbers can exit. Two passages to the south through the mountains exist, though they are guarded heavily by Hyksionion forces, and fortified by two large bastions, Blackblade Hold and Fang passage. The inland vastly contrasts from the rocky coasts. Heavily forested and hilly, with several valley passes. The land is incredibly fertile towards the center of the mountain crater. The weather is often cold and wet in all regions, and frigid cold in the winter the more outward you go.

History:
-309 AC: The beginnings of the Hyksoleon kingdom emerge from a feudal cluster of warring territories.
-311 AC: The first Hyksoleon dynasty begins, rising up from a great civil war, marking one of the few truly monarchic dynasties is Hyksoleon history, as well as one of the few dynasties holding the royal blood of dragons in their veins.
-376 AC: End of first Hyksoleon dynasty, marked by the potential assassination of the king and his heirs. The bastard child of the first heir to the throne takes the place of king.
-452 AC: End of second Hyksoleon dynasty, marked by a massive military coup, in which a non sacred blooded general led a charge on the palace, capturing the current king and overthrowing the dynasty. This also marked the end of the sacred dragon blood rulers and the pure monarchic system of government.
-467 AC: A proper democratic system is put in place, edging out the king and instead instating the council as rulers.
-470 AC: The democratic system collapses due to lack of stability and corrupt officials. Kingdom falls into chaos for the next 50 years.
-520 AC: A general of the collapsing Hyksoleon military leads a conquest, retaking the kingdom and placing himself as king, establishing the base for the current system.
-537 AC: Those with the sacred dragon blood re-emerge, and are added to the Hyksonion government.
-537-643 AC: The kingdom rebuilds itself slowly but surely. Government reestablishes control, military stabilizes and economy expands to gargantuan sizes.
644 AC: Economic growth decreases, general progression slows.
689 AC: Assassination of King Leon Sol, and subsequent election of King Elsyrin.
689-Present: Civil unrest grows under the rule of King Elsyrin and his somewhat tyrannical rule.

The app overall all looks good. I like the internal feuding nobles, as it gives me a little bit of back story I can add to one of the characters I'm cooking up [Val's group as well if they go through with it]. Though one thing I will ask is in regards to your RP sample; it's around two years old, so if could I ask you write me something and TG it to me within the next few days. Other than that it seem right, and I'll likely update the map later todat.

Only took four apps in for heavy Dragon influence to arrive. But I don't mind. There is techincally no known established event involving Dragons in the past. But, lots of records were lost in the time during the Relic's forging and before the forming of the Atrentian Empire. The main issue I've found is the standing military population is huge. I believe in the app it said between .5% and 1% [0 is of course acceptable as a general statement], but 100,000 is closer to ten percent. So that number needs to be lowered quite a bit. Of course it would rise a bit in active time war though. Also, I'll let the Arcanist "Commander" pass, as you make fair enough points, but just remember all offensive magic is cast through the use of Tomes. Fix that, and I'll add you to the map later today

The the Light Blue Blob will be missed, but I still like the idea. I'm also gonna recton myself a bit. Instead of giving you an app to fill out for an Organization [Mercenary Company] I'm just going to say list your characters [I assume you're making at least two as Mercs] as Mercenaries in the "Additional Notes" part of the character app [when I release it of course]. Makes things easier on both of us imo.

To Be Noted: The Notable Commanders section of the app is typically for characters who might get mentioned at some point in the [envitable] events of larger scale battles, but most likely won't receive a full fledge app. e.g. Supporting characters, plot point characters, "bosses" etc.

Cool, I’ll fix that. I screwed up on the military. I misread to standing count as around 5.1 percent. I thought the massive number seemed a little large. By the bu, when will you be adding the character and “holy” weapon apps?

I prefer she/they pronouns, and I enjoy not having to debate people over whether or not they should respect that. If they/them pronouns aren't something you're cool with, just use she/her. Thanks! -That same idiot, 2020

Finally have an idea for a character and holy weapon. Will start working on a nation app for them. Is there an antagonist nation yet? Because mine will probably end up being ruled by an evil tyrant

You should totally team up with King Elsyrin and General Luciare! They have quite the devious and tyrannical plot, and they’ll both be boss characters
