Well, Anthony Kennedy, the court's moderate and swing vote, and forever famed for his protections for gay rights, has retired. Trump will likely appoint him with a conservative.

God, this might be exciting, and scary. On the one hand, they might overturn gay rights, which would be terrifying. But on the other....

Because the decision was complete nonsense. In an ideal world it would be overturned and instead an amendment protecting the right to choose added to the constitution.

Yeah, at this point I'm hoping she'll hold out for 2-6 years. Not a fan of her, but a 6-3 Republican Court... that's not going to be good for the US in the long term. 5-4's ok, and Kennedy did vote with Republicans more often than not.
