Name: Li Tian
Age; 800, looks in her late 30s.
Species, Clan, Class: Kuei-Jin.
Appearance: Image
Personality: Wise, friendly, and flirty, she enjoys living among the humans, Kindred, and Kuei-Jin and wishes for a co-existence. However, since she wants a co-existence, she is rather pushy on that policy and will do anything to achieve it.
Biography: Born in the poor aristocrat family in the time of Northern Song Dynasty, Li's grandfather was formerly a renowned military general who amassed vast amount of wealth. Unfortunately for her, she was born when Jin conquered the Song and took control as the Jin Dynasty. Economy was declining, Mongols put a pressure into the dynasty, and military took the major control of the national budget, despite several failures. It was obvious that things didn't working out very well. Unknown to her, however, she and her father were descendants of the original Wan Xian, but no longer possessed the same amounts of power like the originals used to be. Still, those powers were strong enough to dispatched few Mongols, as she discovered when Mongols attacked the dynasty and reached her hometown.

Her father took her in to the Azure Dragon Court of the East and there, she learned of the tutelage of the art of Kuei-Jin and Wan-Xian. Several hundred years later, in 16th century, she split off from the Court as they went into decline, ignoring her father's stern advice to strengthen the declining organization. She went off to travel the world, parts unknown. In time, she learned of Western arts, culture, and knowledge, being old and strong enough to be almost considered as an Elder of the Azure Dragon Court had she still be involved with them. She returned on 19th century to China, where things are so different she barely recognized it. Her father went to United States to established a Kuei-Jin community, coexisting with American vampires. Li, barely recognizing the China anymore but still interested in China, took a sanctuary in Hong Kong and established a Kuei-Jin court of her own, a small one, and working closely with local Triads. In time, the Tian Society established themselves as strong society, aligned with Jade Court of Changan.

She amassed massive wealth but took a strong interest in America, no longer caring about her past familial relations. She realized she wanted to know the development of Kuei-Jin in America, as she never quite feeling welcomed of the Kindreds from America, perhaps living as the minority among them would be different. She a branch of Tian Society in Chinatown, though this one is small and she visited from time to time.
NPCs: Several human retainers and Kuei-Jin of her own.

More or less done, I think (might make some tweaks or more if necessary). This is the idea I finally went with (the kumo).

Name: Mizuho Ayanokōji
Age: 669 (born 1348). Appears to be in late teens or early 20s. Probably switched bodies a fair number of times over the centuries, though he could possibly use his abilities or sorcery to adopt a preferred appearance.
Species, Clan, Class: Fera, Ananasi/Kumo (Homid), Blessed of Rati
Appearance: Weighs 130.1lbs/59kg, and stands at the height of 5'9"/176 cm. Has no tattoos or piercings, sometimes wears earrings. Has a scar on the lower-left side of his back.
ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage
ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

In Pithus form he weighs 195lbs, and is a giant spider. Not so giant compared to a female Kumo, mind (as a male werespider he is weaker and smaller, though more agile).
Image
In Crawlerling form, he is a rather large number (equal to his weight) of several varieties of spiders, including Australian funnel-web spiders, Brazilian wandering spiders and Jorō spiders.
ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Personality:
Quiet and graceful, he generally appears a bit distant and enigmatic. Bit naive in some ways, less so in others. Masking his real feelings with a faint smile, little seems to perturb him, though this is not an impenetrable façade. People usually have trouble figuring out his emotions. Can be capricious at times. Regardless of what seems to be a distant, lonely attitude, he is generally fairly curious, and usually doesn't pass up an opportunity to learn more. He can be rather fond of attention. Unlike most of their kin, Kumo are more emotional. Bit masochistic, perhaps. Can be somewhat lustful, to say the least. Generally wary of others, and not vary trusting, though he's usually not impolite (well, apart from the killing people bit).Fairly ruthless, and something of a thinker, preferring to plan than to act rashly. Has some scheming and ambitious tendencies, naturally. Some elements of personalities and memories from previous bodies sometimes resurface.

Aware of his own beauty, which combined with the pheromones Ananasi produce, can make finding human prey rather easy (he also makes frequent use of the level 3 gift Snare of Beauty - "The Kumo delight in tricking their foes; this Gift, taught by servants of Rati, makes the Kumo irresistibly beautiful and desirable to all onlookers, regardless of gender or sexual preference"). He also makes frequent uses of the level 2 gift Kiss of Nightshade, "This Gift enhances an Ananasi's pedipalps with properties similar to the Kiss that Kindred invoke in their victims during feeding. This alters the werespider's venom to become like a sedative. A victim of the werespider's bite during this time falls into a state of near-comatose bliss, unable to do anything until the Ananasi mercifully releases her from the feeding. An innovative Kar developed this Gift originally. However, a Kumo spy observed the development process, and stole it for the Goblin Spiders' use".

As a Kumo, his venom is deadly to other supernatural beings (particularly in Pithus form), and so they too are sometimes targets, even if they believe the reverse to be the situation. Though he would usually stick to easier targets, vampires and other beings have sometimes mistaken him for a tempting human morsel (or on occasions a fellow vampire, a mistake sometimes deliberately exploited by werespiders). Unlike other Ananasi, Kumo benefit from vampire blood as they do normal human blood (some even prefer it). Ananasi/Kumo can also extend their lives pretty much indefinitely as long as they feed and replenish themselves. Of course, Mizuho himself is something of an unusual example of the spiderfolk for various reasons.

Has some of the knowledge-seeking and calculating tendencies more common in his Nareau kin, though he can be more impulsive than them, with the patience of centuries of life. Also likes challenges, and is not averse to the idea of finding those stronger than himself and being subjugated by them (so long as they don't kill him). As a kumo, one of his base priorities is having a food source. Another, particularly as one of the hedonistic Blessed of Rati, is sex (they also tend to be a bit indiscriminate, generally glorifying the passions and desires of the flesh, and being dedicated to the Defiler Wyrm).

May have some contempt (or amusement) for people who act like they're more powerful than they are, and those weaker than himself may be ignored, discarded or otherwise dealt with if they are a nuisance. If he takes a liking to them for one reason or another he's likely to not be particularly harsh, but he'll nonetheless disassociate himself with them in due course, seeing attachments with the weak and (probably) short-lived an exercise in wasting time (he'll still associate with them if they have some sort of importance, information he wants, or they seem attractive to him). Can be a bit pessimistic/cynical. Complicated. May have some insecurities. Sometimes he provides others with information. It may be an invaluable truth, a dangerous lie or anything in-between.

Whilst not typically prone to being confrontational (though he can be bloodthirsty), he is capable of fighting, be it with or without weapons in human form. Of course, he also has his fangs, gifts, rites and linear sorcery/hedge magic in battle, too. Having lived a fair bit longer than the average mortal sorcerer, he has had more time to learn such things, though for obvious reasons he is most familiar with the esoteric traditions of East Asia, including Onmyodo. Also affected by the taint of Hiroshima, his inadvertent bathing in polluted chi in 1945 damaged him, despite his being affiliated with the wyrm as nearly all kumo are. He has to go to some length to hide the taint, and as it drives him further to consume chi, it changed his own, and affected his mind and body. He tends to attract banes and other servants of the wyrm.

His blood had already become infused with magical energy due to centuries of practising sorcery. As with other werespiders, his blood is a mix of human and spider blood, of iron and copper, with a purplish colour. His travels in the umbra have also changed him to a certain extent, but the final change was the corrupt chi of Hiroshima. Merging with these other elements (and the chi he normally takes from others), it is something rather unique indeed. It is potent, and perhaps something the more adventurous kuei-jin (especially akuma, being more likely to ignore the Wyrm taint) or kindred would desire to partake of, if they became aware of it. As for his own preferences; like other Blessed of Rati, he prefers yang-aspected chi, though he has no problems consuming yin chi either.

Biography:
Now a famous model, musician and actor, with a bit of a reputation for being 'easy'. Less officially leader of a mysterious cult fronted by the enigmatic Fujibayashi Corporation, and tied to a pair of shadowy Yakuza groups involved in a wide variety of criminal enterprises, his origins lie shrouded in mystery. His past is one of centuries of scheming, death, sex and corruption.

His birth name was Michiyo Fujimura. The son of an aruki-miko in southern Kyoto, born during the middle of the 14th century. It was a turbulent period of financial uncertainly, war and upheaval that had long-lasting effects, during the Nanboku-cho schism of northern and southern Imperial Courts. The Kannō disturbance occurred a mere few years into his life, whilst Kyoto suffered in the midst, being besieged in 1354, following the battle of Yawata a year earlier. Many were forced from their prior homes and occupations. Some miko were forced from shrines and temples, stooping to begging, and becoming aruki miko, or wandering shaman-priestesses. Some became entertainers and prostitutes, entering the same echelons of society as courtesans and more common prostitutes, whilst still performing rituals, divination, mediumship, magic and other such things, though over time they became increasingly divorced from more religious, spiritual and esoteric roles. The more impoverished, homeless miko thus became actress-prostitutes who danced, told fortunes and talked with spirits.

One can imagine that such as childhood would be problematic, the son of a glorified prostitute in a warzone, who fled with him into the countryside when Kyoto was besieged. Though initially reluctant, he soon found himself following the same path as his mother despite his youth, begging and performing music, before selling his body. It hurt, and it was scary, but it was better than starving to death. He had an "education" in child prostitution, which as one might imagine, is not exactly conducive to a healthy or stable upbringing. In time, he would go through his first change as a Kumo, shortly after puberty. Unlike their Ananasi brethren, Kumo do not undergo their gradual emotional and physical changes, instead a more violent process occurs at once, suddenly undergoing transformation into a Kumo, and with a taste for blood. Suffice to say, some violent death occurred. For these servants of the wyrm, the metamorphosis hits all at once, both hunger and transformation striking before emotional tides have been suppressed. It normally leads to some interesting personality quirks, to say the least.

After several mysterious disappearances, he had roughly gotten used to his newly discovered nature, and may have met older Kumo to learn from them. He reappeared a bit later. Using the skills he already possessed, he found patronage under a prominent noble at the Imperial Court. Gradually acquiring wealth, prestige and connections, he also earned the intricacies of the court just as he taught himself or found tutors in a variety of subjects (in some cases, he used the interests of his patrons as an excuse to learn more about various fields). He played a variety of roles. Entertainer, "actress", musician, courtesan, adviser, and over time, an unofficial "court sorceress". His beauty and talent alike became famed whilst his liaisons (with both men and women) became the talk of court gossip. Nobles, samurai, officials, merchants and others fell into his web, as it were.

Sometimes attracted conflicting attention from different prospective patrons, whilst acquiring the ire of others (particularly certain women). He became a deft schemer, and some of his enemies disappeared mysteriously.

He came to acquire the ear of the Ashikaga shoguns, beginning with Yoshimitsu. Yoshimitsu himself had a court painter make several paintings and ukiyo-e woodcuts of him. Later shoguns such as Ashikaga Yoshinori, Ashikaga Yoshimasa, and Ashikaga Yoshiteru also ended up on that list.

Just as he acted on this side of the veil, he also spent time in the Umbra. At points he ventured into the underworld realm known as the Cave of Centipedes, searching for lost knowledge, artifacts and other things. Whilst never binding himself to any particular Yama King, he had encountered and worked with them and their servants, in particular Emma-O, Mikaboshi and Tou Mu. The Goblin Jungle of the Scarlet Path is another area, more commonly frequented by Kumo. The werespiders there pray upon travellers (particularly unauthorised ones) and the Yama kings allow them access through Yomi, or the Yang world. They have also sometimes served as soldiers, spies or hunters for Yama kings. The goblins of the jungle tend to work with kumo, too.

He acquired a certain reputation in the east, though it has varied over time. His personality has changed over time, and in turn he has portrayed himself in many ways. Seduced Emperors and generals, murdered some too. In 1475 Mizuho founded the secretive cult that would come to prove useful in the centuries to come. He and some of his children, as loyal as hedonistic, manipulative, bloodthirsty werespiders can be, became the nucleus of a group that would expand insidiously, taking on different forms depending on the segments of Japanese society it interacted with. Mortal agents of the group were not necessarily aware of their role, being manipulated, bribed or seduced by Kumo to become thralls of their will. Gathering knowledge, feeding, propagating and enriching themselves were the chief goals of the group, with the non-werespider cultists not privy to the same knowledge as their masters who led the sect. They were responsible for countless disappearances over the centuries, as the Kumo devoured various victims, and some individuals were also possessed by Bakemono, or used to test Mizuho's sorcery. For a time, slavery provided a convenient food source that avoided too many questions being asked. In more modern times, some of that continued in the form of human trafficking. Mizuho himself, while leading the cult, sometimes directing it and taking efforts to ensure its secrecy and protection from those who may try to wipe it out, has taken a fairly hands-off approach, and his chosen acolytes are usually left to make their own choices in regards to the cult's operations and activities.

in time, Mizuho has contended with the likes of other Kumo, Fera/Hengeyokai (from the Beast Courts) Hsien, Kuei-Jin, hunters, vampires and others during the course of centuries. He usually stayed out of the affairs of the Kuei-jin/Gaki, knowing that provoking them enough would be troublesome. Fera and Kuei-jin alike see kumo as enemies, and the kumo in turn are known by them as servants of the Wyrm that consort with bakemono, akuma and Yama kings. Among his most common enemies have been hakken and mortal hunters. He has been responsible for certain kumo infestations in some areas of Asia. Usually works more with kumo kinfolk and mortal cultists, though he also has fellow kumo, akuma, bakemono and lesser banes among his followers or allies (though they are more likely to do things in their own interests, and act independently, or even against him).

In the Sengoku period he bore witness to the chaos and war of the disunited archipelago, and the unification of Japan under figures such as Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Ieyasu Tokugawa. He also bore witness to to western contact, and the arrival of Dutch, Spanish and Portuguese traders, missionaries and others.

He ended up appearing in shunga art during the 16th century onward. At times he went as a courtesan in famed Yoshiwara, or popular kabuki theatre actor. At other times a kagema. Sometimes taking on a female form physically, he usually remained male. Of course, combined with his ambiguous appearance, this ended up creating some confusion, with some accounts recording him as female, and some others as male. As a kabuki theatre actor, he played an onnagata (female role), as male actors had done ever since actual women were banned from kabuki theatre by the Tokugawa shoguns.

He also spent some amount of time in Korea. There, he went as a kisaeng/courtesan, and masqueraded as a kisaeng of Jinju, (the kisaeng of that region were particularly adept at the Geommu, a traditional sword dance) by the name of Seok Tae-hyun. A bit later, he went as a kisaeng named Hwang Jini in the early-mid 16th century, who acquired some fame. In the early 17th century he traveled for a time, to Ming dynasty China, though he would come to spend a great amount of his time in Japan itself. There, he went by the name Qīngměi Liáng. He went as a camp follower and lover of Mao Wenlong, a Ming Chinese general who operated in Korea and fought against the Manchu. Mao also became known for using the Ming Marine corps to engage in widespread smuggling, cotributing signifcantly to the economy of nothern China. owever, he was later executed after being caught for smuggling, by another general, Yuan Chonghuan, a fellow military commander who had been conferred the imperial sword of absolute authority by the last Ming emperor.

He also travelled to China later on, under the Qing Dynasty, and had involvement with Spanish, Dutch, Russians and British (including the East India Company), on various occasions travelling outside of Japan despite the isolationist Sakoku policy of the Tokugawa Shogunate, which made it more difficult. As other werespiders sometimes have, he has sometimes pretended to be a vampire at points. Sometimes a Brujah, Tremere, or Toreador.

Witnessed Perry's Black Ships and the opening of Japan. Meiji and the Imperial restoration, and the war between pro-Imperial and pro-Shogunate forces.

In the mid 1880s he travelled to Britain, and participated in the exhibition of Japanese culture located in Humphreys' Hall, the "Japanese village" of Knightsbridge, London which operated from January 1885 until June 1887, organised by Tannaker Buhicrosan. He also went with members of the exhibition to Berlin, Paris and elsewhere.

The turn of the century came, and with it the first Sino-Japanese and Russo-Japanese wars.

Between 1912 and 1926 came the so-called Taishō democracy of the Taishō period, before the domination of the military in the 1930s. Early on came the first world war, though Japan's involvement in that in alliance with Britain was limited, primarily involving the Japanese seizure of Imperial German colonies in China and the Pacific. At home, the Great Kanto Earthquake caused devastation throughout the Kantō region in 1921, killing 142,800 people, and leaving over 570,000 homes destroyed.

In the early 20th century, using his old tactics, he established links to the paramilitary, ultranationalist right-wing Kokuryu-kai (Black Dragon Society), the influental Pan-Asianist secret society, Gen'yosha (Dark Ocean Society) who both had noteworthy influence and intelligence networks as far west as central Asia and Russia. Last but not least was the mysterious esoteric Green Dragon Order, an enigmatic group with links to Tibet's Adepts of Agarthi, known by certain contemporary German occultists as the Society of Green Men, supposedly linked to Karl Haushofer (who was himself at one point a student of the Armenian mystic, G. I. Gurdjieff, and mentored Rudolf Hess). Later on, the Society of the Green Men would be devastated in World War 2, with the remnants in Tibet being wiped out by Chinese communists in 1959.

Second Sino-Japanese war came along in 1937.

During the Second World War, he remained in the Japanese homeland. His own information network, and the connections had always maintained and renewed with people of knowledge and influence ensured he had a greater knowledge of world events and the particulars of the war than the typical Japanese citizen. He saw the pressures of politics, pride and economic strife play their role in having pushed the nation into a short-sighted, desperate gambit. In time, he saw the effects of the war increasingly take their toll at home. From time to time, he shifted to different locations in the country, mainly central and southern Japan. As the war went on, those effects manifested in bombs and starvation. Though he wasn't there, he heard of the firebombing of Tokyo in Operation Meetinghouse, and of the firebombing of various other towns and cities.

Mizuho was almost killed at Hiroshima. When it was nuked, it also created a centre of spiritual pollution, a vast amount of defiled Chi cascading out from it and Nagasaki. Inevitably, Yomi was expanded and the Yama kings sought to utilise this for themselves. He saw the explosion itself, and was blinded in the flash, while the subsequent shockwave slammed into his body, and the fire-storm swept across from the epicentre.
He was crushed, burned and irradiated. Left almost dead (a human would have certainly been dead in his position), and bombarded by radiation and corrupt chi, it most definitely had an effect on him. Pushed to the brink and changed, he had to recover, though intense radiation he had been exposed to not only ensured he needed a new body, but it also resulted in being found a little later in human form, comatose and leaking a toxic, black fluid from his orifices, mixed with his purple blood. While his new body was not exactly in the best condition either; injured, dehydrated and barely able to breath, it was better than dying. At first he was thought to be dead, and then questions began being asked about him. Among the several who encountered him, there was a mixed response. Some thought he was subject to some sort of contagion, perhaps something to do with the bomb, while others were more concerned about trying to help him however they could, regardless of the strange liquids discharging from him (his own blood and irradiated/corrupted chi mixed together). A member of the Japanese Marines nearby, the Akatsuki Corps, who had been stationed in Ujina, and had immediately moved to help in the wake of the catastrophe, carried his body to one of the various medical relief teams, at Kasumi-cho, though they were overwhelmed and working in a chaotic, devastated environment.

He awoke a blank slate, as it were, in human form, and without any memories, save fragments from that of the body he currently occupied. Briefly awakening on occasion, he repeatedly lapsed into a coma again for extended periods of time. The entire time, he suffered unfathomable pain. In any case, the aftermath of 1945 would always affect him to some extent, though in aspects he would later recover.

Then came the American occupation. The Americans set up the Atomic Bomb Casualty Commission (ABCC) in late 1946, studying the survivors and the effects of the bombs, though avoiding treating or helping any of them. This was because the Commission operated under a no-treatment mandate, and also claimed that it was protecting the economic security of local doctors, despite frequent urging from Japanese physicians to treat the survivors. Furthermore, treatment would have violated occupation policy. Colonel Crawford Sams, head of the Public Health and Welfare Section, told ABCC officials that they had “no authority to request examinations, obtain specimens or do operations on Japanese patients” . Though they officially only analysed the living, and conducted studies on the bodies of the deceased, they also performed more secretive experiments and tests on some Hibakusha. After having been looked after for a bit by a Japanese family, the ABCC brought him to one of their facilities, ostensibly to see how the radiation had affected him, with Muzuho's condition being unique among Hibakusha. Of course, unbeknown to them, the amnesiac werespider's true nature was far more alien than they could fathom.

In 1947 he vanished from one of their facilities after several months experiments and tests. For a time he travelled Japan, often on the move, relying on what shelter, food and clothing he could garner from hospitable strangers (though given Japan's state, with millions starving and homeless, this was rather limited), all the while trying to do anything he could to recover his memories, unaware of his true nature.

While living as an apparently normal human, there were times he "blanked out" and another fragment of his consciousness took over, one more in line with a Kumo and its feeding habits. As a result, he was responsible for various disappearances among the American forces in the last few years of the American occupation, including in one case, an entire company of Marines that fell into an ambush (strict censorship allowed it to be covered up, and it was known among those in the know as "the Oizuru Incident"). Perhaps something to do with the Nuke's effects on him and Wyrm corruption.

He gradually recovered himself in the early 1950s, and worked to reassert his position in the supernatural community of Japan, returning to his position behind the cult he founded, and the influence and connections he formerly enjoyed (as far as he could in a society changed by war and occupation).

Reasserting control over the cult, he expanded its influence, with the rise of two Yakuza groups (Ryogoku-kai in Tokyo and Takahashi-gumi in Onomichi) linked to it, and the newly founded Fujibayashi corporation growing in turn, expanding and diversifying their operations and fields of interest. Said corporation is led chiefly by the family that founded it, Daisuke Fujibayashi and later on his son, Hisato Fujibayashi. They also happen to be members of the cult. During the Cold War he focused on his usual activities, changing his name every few decades. Of course, the more dedicated and observant individual, with access to the right resources, might become suspicious if they were to investigate him, and notice various similar looking individuals in history. His appearance has changed a bit over time, but he seems to have a particular fondness for a visage not dissimilar to the one he currently bears, to the extent that he went to no small length to maintain it despite having to transfer to new bodies at various points over the centuries.

In 1961, masquerading as a waitress in a prominent izakaya in Tokyo, he (having taken on his female form) entered a relationship with a prominent businessman, Genjiro Hatakeyama, acquiring a not insignificant sum of wealth until Genjiro's disappearance in 1967, probably at Mizuho's own hand.

He spent some time in South America, particularly Brazil (where the largest Japanese community outside Japan lies), though to a lesser extent Argentina, Chile and Peru. Later encountered Strike Force Zero in the 1990s after it was formed in 1989. Gradually got more secretive in the mid-late 20th century, at least with his activities that raised alarm bells for monster hunters and rival supernatural creatures of various sorts.

As well as being an actor, musician and model, he may have some involvement in Japanese adult videos, and Tokyo's sex industry, or mizu-shōbai (water trade) as it is known. Much like in the past, he has a certain degree of prestige and desirability in that area, and is well-known as an otokonoko, or male crossdresser, with both male and female admirers. There are rumours that some of his patrons are high ranking politicians, officials and businessmen. Whatever the truth of the matter, he has no small amount of knowledge regarding behind the scenes dealings and machinations within the wealthier echelons of Japanese society. Unsurprisingly, being involved in both mainstream media, and more ...smutty enterprises, has meant a certain degree of controversy, but he manages to weather it regardless. His total income from this is probably considerable, and no doubt he receives "gifts" from some wealthy individuals, all the while feeding in secret from time to time. He has a few properties or hideouts, mainly in Japan and East Asia, a few abroad.

Recently arrived in Los Angeles. Probably wants to do Kumo things there, gather information, establish connections, maybe make a few more Kumo, etc, etc. His cult already has a small presence in Los Angeles' Little Tokyo, though it has been very secretive thus far. Perhaps it'll be expanded further.

NPCs: Some cultists, kumo, bakemono.

Name: Blackmaw the Predator, "Mortimer"
Age: 36
Species, Clan, Class: Garou, Black Spiral Dancer, Homid Galliard
Appearance: Human, Crinos
Personality: As a Galliard, Blackmaw, or known more by his human alias "Mortimer", is surprisingly cunning compared to those of his kin, considering that most of the time, Spiral Dancers are looked upon as reckless and extremely violent. The latter part isn't entirely untrue for Mortimer, as he can be ruthless at times. Sociable and charismatic, Mortimer has many friends and can easily create new ones, although he also has the potential to break or even foil relations before they even started due to his very random fits of rage that often comes unexpectedly and without any obvious cause.
Biography:
The Hive of Moths was a sept of the Black Spiral Dancers situated in the slums Los Angeles, acting as the base of operations for its crime syndicate. In the crime underworld, the hive was known as the "LeBlanc syndicate" and regularly competed with other crime organizations that plagued the City of Angels for no other than money, power, and territory. Members of the hive, both Garou and Kinfolk, all took their part to further the hive's cause. It attracted Pentex's attention and before long, the hive was taken under its wings.

At the same time, however, it also attracted others' attention, namely Hunters and other supernaturals that weren't happy of the hive's growing power. Skirmishes occured in the streets of Los Angeles under the cover of night. Shootouts, drive-bys, bombings that took many lives. The hive took the heaviest of casualties. About two-thirds of the hive's original numbers were decimated, and what was left of it simply retreated back into the dark.

One of the surviving members was a young boy, not yet given a name as the boy hadn't gone through the ritual of dancing the Black Spiral. Pentex instead went on the initiative and gave the boy a name for them to call; "Mortimer". The name eventually stuck as time went on, although he personally chose "Blackmaw" as his name after dancing through the spiral. The Hive of Moths, or at least what was left of it, was nurtured by Pentex after its' near-destruction. The hive bred soldiers and warriors for Pentex's First Teams, and Blackmaw was personally chosen as the officer of First Team 15 due to his prowess.

After a while, Blackmaw rose through the ranks of his pack as Alpha, supported by Pentex itself. Some tried to object but were ultimately subjugated. As a reward for his loyalty and ability, Blackmaw was named CEO of the Mothman Agency; a security service provider based in Hollywood, which in truth was just another clever guise used by Pentex to cover up their dirty operations. Due to this, Blackmaw, or "Mortimer", was now considered among the many Pentex executives, albeit an unlikely one. After a few years consolidating his power, Blackmaw sought to further himself.

NPCs: Mothman Agency (consisting of humans, fomori, and some War Wolves in their basement) and his pack of Black Spiral Dancers.

A vampire in direct sunlight will typically die in a few minutes to several minutes.

Working on new optional quests and objectives! Adding a new dynamic to the role play. Also the roster revision has been reignited (sorry for the procrastination)!

I recommend checking out the discord for the latest additions to the RP and updates forthcoming.
