Though I would like to say the reason I made his power have some range is that Johnny isn't a fighter; the range was intended to allow him some avenues for escape and avoidance of direct combat. I worry if he needs to be in contact with someone to use his power he will end up dead quickly. Unless combat and necessary fights aren't going to be as common as I'm imaging, in which case I'm fine with the change. Or if you think such a character would be viable even with the change.

If that's what you are worried about, I'd suggest going with a different ability, as the really dangerous things on the surface of Pandemonium wouldn't really be effected by any memory effecting power...

Maybe give him a power to support everyone else since he isn't a fighter.

Character App
Name: Abigail van der Rohe
Age: 20
Sex: F
Sexual Orientation: Het
Bio: Having grown up in a rural home, Abigail was fascinated by large feats of architecture as she grew up. She wanted nothing more than to build great towers herself. Her creativity led her to build surprisingly large structures out of packaging material and other junk found around her parents' farm, from underground bunkers to towers rivaling trees in height. Her parents did what they could to take her to local cities' skyscrapers but, being farmers, couldn't afford college to get her an Architectural Engineering degree. Still, she worked hard and got herself accredited. She is looking for employment at the time of the... incident... thing.
Appearance:
Image

Starting Items: A backpack, sheets of graph paper and utensils, snacks, copies of her resume, a baseball cap, and formal wear.
Power: "Spirit of Architecture:" Abigail can absorb concrete, sand, or other building material and grow in size with the same structural integrity of the firmest form of the material that she absorbs. Her height is limited to the tallest indivisible object, manmade or natural (i.e, tree) in a mile radius. In a non-planet environment, her height is limited to the maximum dimension of the structure on which she stands. While at this new height, she is only able to move within a circle, the center of which was her place of growth and the radius of which is her new height. Aside from the ability to prop herself up and move (otherwise) normally, her strength obeys the Law of Squares, leading to only mildly increased strength.
Skills: Abigail doesn't do well with numbers, but she can "eyeball" a situation and formulate a plan. She knows which food can/cannot be eaten, usually from sight and prior knowledge but occasionally from the first taste. That said, she can eat almost anything that isn't straight-up poisonous.

RP Sample: https://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?p=32507856#p32507856
Did you read the Rules? Yup.
What about number 9? What about number 9?

Optional Stuff:
Personality: Abigail is quirky, but a quiet, humble kind of quirky. She much prefers the company of old ruins to the company of other people, especially strangers.
Likes: Architecture, stories, people talking in a smart manner
Dislikes: Loud noises

Alignment: Lawful good
Theme Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJiHDmyhE1A

Character App
Name: Phil Richardson
Age: 31
Sex: M
Sexual Orientation: Het
Bio: Phil Richardson was an Economics major in college, but poetically found no money in economics. He instead when on to become an author and start his own publishing company. His work, eventually the Tales of Triangulum franchise, was loquacious yet successful, and, since he himself was the middleman, he became a millionaire. He soon found himself lost in the world of his own design, enjoying the spinoff work of the series's fans. He lived a modest lifestyle, keeping an iron grip on his finances and making sure to keep his fanbase entertained. When "the incident" occurred, he was playing a ToT video game.
Appearance:
Image

Starting Items: Writing utensils, (technically functional) sword replicas, baseball cap
Power: "The Power of Sol:" Phil can outline a shape in the air, no more than 0.1 m^3 (3.52 ft^3). He can then create a contained nuclear fusion event that takes the gaseous atoms of the atmosphere, fuses them into metal, and forces them into the shape that Phil outlined. If anything other than air enters the outline between the outlining and the fusion, Phil's attempt fails. Without atmosphere, Phil's attempt fails. In a two-parts-nitrogen-one-part-oxygen environment (like that of Earth), the metal is Titanium. In a different environment, the metal may vary, but the element cannot be heavier or denser than iron or lighter than Potassium.
Skills: Phil is good with linguistics, and he can read and write in his own conlang.

RP Sample: https://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?p=32626787#p32626787
Did you read the Rules? No. No, I did not.
What about number 9? There is no number 9. (Holy cow, I just guessed that, without looking!)

Optional Stuff:
Personality: Richardson likes to act as if he was insane, but he retains his sanity and composure no matter what. When he needs to be quiet, he is.
Likes: Resourcefulness, cynicism
Dislikes: Downers

Alignment: Lawful evil
Theme Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQYN2P3E06s

I use my NationStates stats, because a population of billions/trillions and an economy of hundreds of trillions is totally viable, trust me.
But seriously, aside from the population and GDP, just assume that my NS stats are roughly accurate.

Support: Paleo-imperialism, conservatism, libertarianism, Christianity.
Against: Stupid people, resistance to industrial progress, alt-right, any form of government at or beyond socialism.

Zjaum are you sure about those powers?

Because there aren't going to be many ruins on Pandemonium for Abigail's ability (which is creative), and Phil's is kinda...well lame and seems really under developed

I can change the powers. Just give me a couple hours.

Pandemonium IS NOT Earth. I said that in the OP

I get the feeling you didn't really read the OP

Well, I read it. Earth is abandoned, and we start out on Earth. I guess you're going to transport us away from Earth, somehow?

Maybe Abigail could just mimic the structure of buildings, instead of replace their ruins?

Then why'd you assume a post apoc world?

How so? You don't need to make your ability complicated

I assumed that there was something big that happened on Earth that would ultimately affect Pandemonium, so we would attract the extrasolar factions, instead of vice versa. I guess it's vice versa.

I will try and think something up.

So, I just wanna run this idea past before I start doing more:
Spirit of the Past: Judy can summon and control a version any one historical earthly entity from before her birth in 1946, interchanging them with each new summon. For example, if she were to summon the 1st United Field Artillery Regiment of 1914(A regiment is the largest division she is able to summon), and then later summon some other entity, such, for example, a dinosaur, the regiment previously summoned would transform into the dinosaur, rather than remaining around.

Yes, though it would be 1914 artillery with the average supplies. I figured for use in this sci-fi setting it wouldn’t be as powerful as it might be in a MT setting.

That's basically deciding wether we will have Dieter in this or not. Because Dieter has usually no power and if he does it is immortality or a crazy high healing factor. Both of which I probably won't get in here hence why we'll have no Dieter.

Fear Kubrick it is then.

Character App
Name: Judith “(Ms.) Judy” Tan Long
Age: 72
Sex: Female
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual, happily married to Wade Long, though he was not brought along.
Bio: As some might guess from her name, Judy is from the Deep South, hailing from a certain group known as the Mississippi Chinese from the Mississippi Delta. More specifically, she hails from Natchez, Mississippi. It was there she spent much of her youth. Despite segregation at the time, she was able to get a serviceable education, enough to allow her to be among the lucky members of her family to attend college.

Upon returning home, she managed to secure work in the pharmaceutical industry, then meeting a second-generation Vietnamese shipyard worker from New Orleans, Wade Long, during vacation down in New Orleans. The two hit it off, and it wasn’t long after that that the two ended up married, and Judy moved in with her new husband’s family on the outskirts of New Orleans. Time passed, children were born, and all seemed to fall into place. Up through the civil rights era, just like many Mississippi Chinese, Judy made use of her position between white and coloured to her advantage, serving both with the only regard being who paid in cash on the spot and who didn’t.

As the years went by, the kids left, and the older relatives began to pass away, one by one. Left alone with the large house that had hosted what was left of the Long family, the couple stayed until Hurricane Katrina, having bought out the rest of the relatives. But what seemed to be a travesty turned out to be an opportunity, as what insurance money they got, combined with the low property values in the wake of the storm, let them acquire a pleasantly-sized apartment in the French Quarter, free for them to remake in their mental image of what they desired in a house. And so it seemed that from humble beginnings, these two would go on to live their golden years to the fullest...until Judy disappeared to find herself in the distant future.
Appearance:
Image

Starting Items: Alongside what one would expect a 72 year old woman to carry in her purse, Judy has an iPhone and charge which she uses fairly competently.
Power: Spirit of the Past: Judy can summon and control a version any one historical earthly entity from before her birth in 1946, interchanging them with each new summon. For example, if she were to summon the 1st United Field Artillery Regiment of 1914(A regiment is the largest division she is able to summon), and then later summon some other entity, such, for example, a dinosaur, the regiment previously summoned would transform into the dinosaur, rather than remaining around. Furthermore, being that she carries within her the essence of great historical power, her resilience is abnormally high for someone of her age, being on par with younger individuals, although she still can’t move like she used to.
Skills: Judy is proficient in English, Hainanese, and Vietnamese, as well as having some knowledge in Mandarin Chinese, French, and Japanese. She is able to handle a shotgun, and remains intelligent and relatively adaptive.

RP Sample: I believe you know me.
Did you read the Rules? Indeed I did
What about number 9? What number 9?

Optional Stuff:
Personality: Judy was well known in her church community as one of the “nice old church ladies who always had some sort of candy for the little kids.” This statement remains relatively true, although she does have a more snippy side that can flare up here and there. Furthermore, she possesses a sharp wit, and a sense of empathy developed over years of watching the world burn down and rebuild itself time and time again. Although her years on earth have forged a stubbornness in her, she still does her best to adapt, as she tries to remind herself of what stubbornness caused back during the civil rights era, when she was among the youth “causing trouble.”
Likes: Conversation, learning of new things, her family, her community, her heritage, her home, and civility
Dislikes: Excessive conflict, obvious prejudices, Russia, Japan, and “Fedora Atheists”

Alignment: Lawful Good, although drifts towards a more neutral stance as the connection to individuals or causes becomes less.
Theme Song: “I was born in Natchez, raised my kids in New Orleans, an’ I want to be buried between the two when I pass.”

Before I accepted, I just want to be sure that this is the power you want to use.

Well, I have been thinking of alternative support-type powers that could be used. I have an idea for like a direct support one that kind of goes with his character. A sort of shared energy link power. Basically Johnny could share his own reserves of energy with someone he is contact with to bolster them, and drain away their feeling of pain if they get injured in a fight, bearing it himself. I'll include other limitations as well if the idea seems like it'd be helpful. Or if not I have some other ideas to spitball.
