Balabac Island to be developed
September 20 | Arthur Cranpim
Image
The Australian government recently stated that Balabac Island will undergo heavy development

BALABAC - The island of Balabac has been under Australian control for nearly 1 year already and has only seen development by the construction of military facilities in the northwestern portion of the islands that includes a 4 runway big airbase that can house 60 to 70 planes, a naval base that can hold as many as 30 naval destroyers, and a large military complex that houses close to 10,000 soldiers. The presence of the soldiers has long made tourism and entertainment services the local population 's main source of income. Although the government had tried to made strides to help improve basic services and establish a working diversification program for the 40,000 inhabitants, crisis in home and abroad had halted such actions.

However, with the ongoing economic boom in construction, mining, services and manufacturing sectors in Australia, many Australians have begun to earn more than they need, and due to government and AusGroup friendly investment funds, millions of these excess money is pouring in to be used for investments to gain dividends. Many investment funds see that the island of Balabac is a strategic location for trade, commerce, ideas as well as new startups as the island or islands are located near the South China Sea, to the west of the Philippines and to the North of Malacca. The potential of the island can be seen as the new Macau/Hong Kong/ Las Vegas.

Already Italian Edifice Group has agreed to develop the island's real properties and estates, with the government helping shoulder 50% while the rest will be by the Italian company. This is in order to kick start a real property industry in the island that can be home to future workers, inhabitants or popular persons. The company will also see to it the construction of new office, residential and luxury buildings with the intention of drawing businesses and corporations to establish their main headquarters in the country as well as to house several private banking institutions from Australia, America, and Europe with the intention of making the island a financial center and a possible tax haven to further encourage investment and finance tourism.

Meanwhile, instead of Tasmania, refugees from Magella and other South American countries currently embroiled in a war will be diverted to Balabac, where the local garrison has already started prior weeks ago the construction of a housing project for the approximately 40,000 refugees with many more thousands to arrive. The said refugees will not be forgotten by the Australian government, which in partnership with several Magellan corporations has agreed to establish several BPO and call center industries as well as several more retail industries such as laundry, fast food franchises, local book stores and many more.

To attract tourists and the wealthy in Asia, the island will feature several high rise casinos and extravagant malls with products from all over the world. MGM plans to build a huge building complex that will feature several condominiums, casinos, a mall, a subdivision, indoor gyms, clubhouses and a mini airstrip for private planes that is estimated to cost $4.18B dollars.

All the while, the island will undergo extensive urban and rural plannng with Helios III already laying out plans to develop Balabac Island into a clean green metropolis with the use of renewable energy, new advanced technological innovations, electronic facilities, and zero waste disposal. Helios III will also spread out advisors to rural farmers to help them create far effective practices that will help them reap more food and produce more animal products.

To the south, a new special economic zone that will house huge manufacturing assembly lines for several consumer goods will be established wherein all taxes and tariffs will be eliminated and will help churn out low price goods to anywhere in the region, using recruited labor from China, the Philippines, Indonesia and neighboring Malacca. The special economic zone is expected to host more than $230M dollars worth of products using investments garnered from European, Chinese, Japanese and Australian corporations and individuals.

It is expected that more development will be done in order to help the island be one of Asia's economic city hubs.

AusGroup corps buy a combined 15% of ENEL

AusGroup corps bought 15% from energy giant ENEL for $10B

ROME - Several AusGroup corporations bought a combined 15% of total shares of ENEL, an Italian multinational manufacturer and distributor of electricity and gas, for $10 Billion dollars. AusGroup Fund spokesperson told media.

The purchasing of the said stocks adds a huge amount of net worth to the already huge investment fund of AusGroup Fund. The combined 15% of the AusGroup corporations puts the group into being the 2nd largest stockholder, with only the Italian government having a bigger share at 23%.

One of the AusGroup corporations that bought stocks from ENEL is innovation and R&D agency Helios III. The company's head is already part of the company's board of trustees and recently forged a massive deal that would help supplement a green revolution of energy in Italy with products from Helios III. The agency has also stated that new partnerships involving electronic vehicles is already underway and that both company's scientists are already planning on making joint progress on creating a better tomorrow.

Jalili Arrived to the Conference with Aides
Saeed Jalili in Puertollano

Saeed Jalili made a brief trip to Puertollano, taking the 15 hour flight in the first hours after midnight, he gave a speech late that night in Puertollano. He denounced Akbar's "treacherous alliances" with France and Western powers, he said that "foreign exploitation is still very present." He said "still, our leaders, Persia's new shah, still cooperates with the capitalist exploiters, and seeks to extract profit from Persians. Enough! Persians before Profit!" Saeed's speech emphasized resisting imperialism, wherever the source. He flew back to Persia immediately, to have his pre election rally of committed supporters in Tehran. Some Persians have applauded his speech, but many wonder why he consorts with a foreign government that is thousands of kilometers away, and not with nearby friends like Zackaroth, who Jalili frequently maligns.
Here is the final summary of polls, the race is close.

Social Democratic Union (Davud Akbar): 33.5%
People's Party (Jamsheed Zartosht): 28%
United Islamist Coalition (Saeed Jalili): 24.5%
New Democracy (Khaliq Harun): 14%

I heard Jalili speak at the Conference for Anti-Imperialism. He is an excellent orator, and a true advocate against neo-colonialism, orchestrated by the imperialist powers. We will have him back in Puertollano anytime! #Jalili

Der Kapitalist

Castillo creates a double standard...again

September 20, 2019

Recently President Castillo of Puertollano made remarks about the potential* Austrian involvement in Puertollano elections. However he specifically called it an "attack on their sovereignty". This creates a massive double standard. Just take a look at Magella, their sovereignty is under a massive attack by the FSR who is currently invading them. Does Castillo call this out as well? No of course not. Magella's self determination means nothing to him because Magella didn't align with Castillos agenda. Almost the same could be said about the German and Italian islands in the carribean, these islands have held referendums in the past and all of them chose to remain overseas dominions, but Castillo doesn't like this because it benefits European countries. Which he hates for no reason.

Australian corporations invest in Sumatra

AusGroup companies takes a new role as Australia builds stronger ties with Malacca

KUALA LUMPUR - With the opening of Malacca to foreign investment and the country encouraging foreign investment in the island of Sumatra several AusGroup and private Australian corporations have been given the green light by the Malaccan government to invest.

AusGroup giants TransGen Inc,Argus,Australian National Line, and Qantas are one of the most increasingly active investors in the country, hoping to tap out the English speaking and low labor costs.

Argus CyberSecurity was able to gain partnerships with several Malaccan agencies to be a leading telecommunications service provider for the island of Sumatra, as well as an internet provider for Malaccan cities with the company already starting to help transition the local internet connections to accommodate 5G networks.

TransGen Indonesia, which already has a 5 dockyard shipyard in Surabaya that churns out 10-15 ships per month and employs 4,000 employees is now, with support from the main branch, will be expanding a new shipyard that will have 7 dockyards, that will also churn out 15-25 ships, depending on size in which the biggest could be 200k ton cargo ships, and employ 4,500. TransGen Indonesia already has received multiple contracts for large bulk and container ships from Chinese and Hong Kong shipping lines that will be used in the trade routes from Asia to Africa, Europe and North America. The Medan Shipyard is expected to earn close to $8.12B .

Australian National Line, which boasts close to 1,000 ships, will be adding 30 new ships to be allocated to Malacca, after the country signed an agreement to remove tariffs and taxes on Australian based ships in order to carry exports and imports products from Malacca to Australia, China, Japan as well as to Europe, and Africa as well vice versa.

Meanwhile Qantas will be building a new airport hub in Kuala Lumpur to extend direct flights to several cities in Thailand, India, the Philippines, Taiwan, as well as several Chinese cities in Chengdu, Kunming, Guangzhou Baiyun, Shenzhen Baoan and Hong Kong.

Along with the AusGroup corporations, several Australian private mining, construction and services companies are also taking part in tapping out the new potential markets in Malacca as the country lies in the crossroads between the Far East and the Middle and Near East.

Australia withdraws from CIS

Australian Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce reacts as he sits behind PM Turnbull.
Wednesday session saw Turnbull call for membership withdrawal from the CIS

CANBERRA - The recent political events and crisis in South America has reached a turning point, or as the recent polls suggest, a boiling point, with more and more Australians seeing that the current"Red Ribbon" Operations is nothing more but a burden to the country's otherwise flourishing economic growth and continuing technological advancements.

Although the government stated its strict neutrality, the public's view of South America has waned slowly, starting during the European confrontations in Poland, as well as the rising number of casualties in involvements in Nigeria and East Timor.

As the country sees more conflict and crisis in an intertwined alliance through the Coalition of Independent States, it grows more evident that the people of Australia have had it far enough and the calls for isolationism from international military alliances that subject the country to an obligation to send assistance grows all the more fiercer. Recent news from leaders' of the countries involved in South America has also shocked the Australian public, and that according to the polls, more than 73% of respondents answered that both sides are 'hypocrites' in a manner.

With growing opposition to several of his foreign policies and the next upcoming elections approaching, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull in the Union Legislature House called for the withdrawal of the country's membership from the Coalition of Independent States, thereby removing the obligation of the country to send assistance out of being part of the alliance. However the government has stated that such a move doesn't mean that the country will remove itself from its former co-members, on which it will otherwise approach more vigorously for agreements and economic opportunities.

Saeed Jalili has brought immense enthusiasm to the Islamist and anti imperialist movement, can he gain an upset victory of Titanic proportions or will he fail? Can Khaliq Harun and his New Democracy Party stay relevant as the People's Party they split from ascends? Or will voters give Prime Minister Akbar another mandate, many of the crises have lessened since the finishing of the Great Transcontinental Railroad, as some of the issues have lapsed. Voters will decide tonight, our coverage begins now.
The next poll, is the exit poll. It is not right on the nose, but it could serve as an indicator as where we are going tonight.

2019-2020 Budget

Postby Grandes Terres » Tue Jun 12, 2018 12:23 pm

Image

23rd September 2019

Government releases 2019-2020 budget- military spending increases, but so does interest on debt...

Today the government officially released the 2019-2020 budget to the public with little change from the 2018-2019 budget, even keeping overall spending the same, which is unusual as the government usually increases or decreases the budget in line with economic growth or recession each year. However, despite excellent economic growth over the last year, the govern has said that due to the country's large debt it would be unwise to raise the budget any further until the 2020-2021 budget when the government plans to have paid off the bulk of its debt with help from the Sovereign Wealth Fund and its new collaboration with Atlantia. Budget cuts to 18% of the total budget where seen in the Department of Education while the newly formed Pro Bono Bureau (Formerly Aid Italia) has saved money through improved efficiency and a focus on saving money wherever possible, including shutting down over 500 water sanitation projects and education projects across Africa saving the bureau a large sum of money. The Social Welfare Agency took the biggest hit in the spending reshuffle, dropping from 7% of total spending to 5% of total spending, however the agency has said that it has been aware of the cuts for many months before the announcement and has a plan in action to cope with budget restraints.

The 2019-2020 budget in numbers:

Department of Education: 139.86 billion
Ministry of Defence: 139.86 billion
Department of Health: 93.24 billion
Ministry of Justice: 85.47 billion
Interest on Debt: 85.47 billion
Government: 68.376 billion
Department of Infrastructure: 62.16 billion
Social Welfare Agency: 38.85 billion
Local Authorities: 24.864 billion
Other: 38.85 billion

Total: 777 billion

The Joint Exit Poll predicted a 87 Seat Majority for the SDU
EXIT POLL: SDU GOVERNMENT

The joint broadcaster's exit poll has just come in, keep in mind THIS IS A PREDICTION OF RESULTS TO COME, it is based on what voters are telling us, however it can be wrong or skewed. With this in mind, we can announce the exit poll predicts another SDU landslide. They do loose roughly 25 seats, but they will certainly stay in government, and Prime Minister Akbar will be PM tomorrow as he was today.
SEATS:
Social Democratic Union (Davud Akbar): 171
People's Party (Jamsheed Zartosht): 84
United Islamist Coalition (Saeed Jalili): 80
New Democracy (Khaliq Harun): 9
Iraqi Interests (Yasser Salim): 5
Independents: 1

This is significant gains for the People's Party, who would rise 34 seats. The Islamists, despite all their noise and fury, only rise by 1, definitely a disappointing night for the UIC, they do make a one seat gain, some predicted a loss, but they have lost apparently, their spot as Leader of the Opposition. New Democracy loses 3 seats, which will certainly bring their party's existence into question, even if it is strong in Iraqi politics. There is now one Independent, 1 would have lost his seat, 2 defect to the People's Party, and 1 to the Islamists. It appears the SDU may have lost some of the seats they gained in Eastern Iraq and around Al Basra, where they made surprising pickups last time, but still, their winning coalition of the working class, everyday liberals, and the urban poor and middle class has won the day. However, we cannot be sure, the REAL RESULTS ARE NOT IN YET.
Here is the 4-way share of the vote as predicted so far.
Social Democratic Union (Davud Akbar): 36%
People's Party (Jamsheed Zartosht): 27%
United Islamist Coalition (Saeed Jalili): 24%
New Democracy (Khaliq Harun): 13%

The Austro-Danubian Empire

September 2019 Edition

Image

The Status of the Empire

Image
The sun rises over Vienna.
The Austro-Danubian Empire, to put lightly, has been through a tremendous amount of political, economic, and social drama since the its conception. The Danubian Wars of Liberation, the assassination of the late Empress Nicole, the transitioning from the Danubian Federation to the Austro-Danubian Empire, and the constant pressures of being such a cultural melting pot have all left a sour taste in the mouths of much of the Empire's populace, while the unification of Metropolitan Austria with the greater Austrian community and the successes of the new and popular Emperor Martin ensure the loyalties of most citizens in the Empire. Now, as the Empire delves into what many experts predict to be a long and grueling conflict to protect her interests in South America, the effects of all the aforementioned events have created a political climate largely set around regionalism and factionalism -- with different political factions coming to power in different provinces of the Empire, all with the goals of gaining enough support to use their specific regions' populace to establish dominance in the upcoming Second Proconsular Elections.

A wide array of flags are currently flown across the Empire's borders, from the Imperial Habsburg Standard, to the Imperial Tricolour, to the old flag of the Danubian Federation, and to the many unofficial flags of the United Roman Triumvirate. "Austrianized," conservative, and loyalist factions are more apt to fly the Imperial flags, while liberal and confederate groups are more prone to fly the flags of Federation and the Triumvirate. All of this of course shows to highlight the wide array of opinions and allegiances across the perhaps growingly overextended Empire.

The current ruling parties of the Hyper Democratic Party, the Conservative Democratic Party, and the Party of Hellene's Stead have been forced to make concessions to more extreme and region-based political entities -- as was the trend in the First Proconsular Elections. David Halesz's Hungarian Socialist Party continues to grow in popularity in all corners of the Empire, however, and for the first time since the Republic of Austria-Hungary's transformation into the Second Danubian Federation, the Hungarian Socialists are making way in the polls. Should a coalition between the Hungarian Socialists and the rising and largely student Alexandrian party be made, the political left may have the potential to sit in the Proconsular chair relatively soon. Jonathon Mueller's ultraconservative Vienna Party has seized much of Metropolitan Austria's voter base, as the popular figure has been credited as one of the leaders in the Unification of Austria. Previously only a party in Vienna as the rest of the Metropolitan Austrian state had been shared with the Germanic Union, the Vienna Party stands to be an interesting dynamic in the times to come. Unlike most of the factions that currently hold power within the Empire, both the Hungarian Socialists and the Vienna Party denounce the formation of the Triumvirate for nationalistic and social reasons.

The most shocking of recent political happenings in the Empire, however, comes from the province of Romania and the District of Bucharest. For the longest time Romania has been the bastion for National Socialist sentiment for the Danubian peoples. After the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire after the First World War, the First Danubian Federation fell into the same trap the German nation experienced in the twenties and thirties, and under the calm and smooth talking Corneliu Zelea Codreanu, the "Legionary" Iron Guard of Romania slowly took over politics within the Federation. Soon enough Codreanu had become the military dictator of the Federation after ousting the weak Habsburg-Lorraine monarchy and exiling them to the colony of Krasendof.

Image
"The Captain," Corneliu Zelea Codreanu.
World War Two ran its course, and soon enough the Legionary Iron Guard Danubian Federation was toppled by the pressures of the Soviet horde. Codreanu successfully fled the Danubian Federation as the Soviets reached the gates of Budapest, he wrote many political treatise and biographies from his safe house in Argentina. Romania endured a harsh Soviet occupation for the years to come, and National Socialist sentiment in the region never really died -- it maybe even thrived as it could focus on an anti Soviet doctrine. Under the reinstated Habsburg monarchy, the Iron Guard in part resurfaced but under a different name: the Romanian National Socialist Party. The RNSP continued to "regain" traction in the years to follow, as the Danubian Wars of Unification pitched the newly formed Second Danubian Federation against the states of Bosnia, Herzegovina, and Macedonia, providing the perfect breeding ground for an ultra-nationalistic movement to resurface in the province -- one that would focus on the protection of the Romanian peoples within the Federation. The RNSP persisted to survive within the province of Romania and continued its rule over the hearts of the people when the Federation reformed into the Austro-Danubian Empire. The Romanian National Socialists have been making bolder and bolder moves with the current political climate in the Empire, officially running for Proconsular office in the First Proconsular Elections and staging many rallies and demonstrations across the province of Romania. Upon claiming that the Empire's government has become to aligned with the interests of the Austrian peoples and not the interests of the Danubian peoples as a whole, the RNSP cited that the establishment of the Triumvirate, the "abandonment of Moldova" (a people who many Romanians consider to be kin and protected under the obligations of the greater Danubian community), and the push of so many resources into the defense of an infant South American nation as proof of their suspicions. The RNSP, under the leadership of the Romanian media tycoon and popular figure Nicolae Dumitru, has recently officially reformed once again, this time in tribute to the days of old. On September 22, 2019, Dumitru proclaimed in a public speech in the provincial capital of Romania, Sibiu, that from that day onward the Romanian National Socialist Party would officially reform into the "Second Legionary Movement," or the "Second Iron Guard." Dumitru also publicly honoured Codreanu's actions in the years leading up and during the Second World War, claiming that under the Iron Guard the Danubian people fought through their finest moments, and that it was the stupidity and shortcomings of German command that ultimately lost the war for the Danubians in the end. The move, although very bold, was technically not illegal in Austro-Danubian code of law. The Iron Guard was never formally abolished or banned by Danubian government as it had been under the Soviet occupation, as it was decided that since Codreanu ultimately refused to participate in the Holocaust, the First Iron Guard wasn't responsible for the war crimes carried about by the German Nazi Party. This is all of course speaking in technicalities, for the real reason the Iron Guard was never abolished was to appease and convince the largely National Socialist populace of Romania to join in Federation with the Republic of Austria-Hungary.Demonstrations followed across the entirety of Romania and the District of Bucharest, with the old green white and black flag of the Iron Guard being flown once again. The rallies are the largest the Empire has seen since the assassination of the Empress, and the situation in Romania grows more and more unstable as time progresses. Knowing Dumitru's history, the goal of the Second Iron Guard isn't to see Romania's independence from the Empire, but is to bolster the Iron Guard's standings within the Empire, ultimately reforming it and accomplishing the goals of the Legionary Movement from the inside out. Both the Directory and the Monarchy have remained silent on this accord, as much of the government's attention is currently focused on the Federation of Socialist Republic's invasion of the newly independent Magellan Republic. The current situation could unfold in a number of different ways, and for now the Austro-Danubian peoples can only watch and see what time's judgement on the matter will ultimately be.

NSRA in trouble as elections threaten to derail after bombing attack

A few weeks ago, two of the three NSRA presidential candidates where killed in an ICN attack on Lagos. This has left the Nigerian Socialist Party(NSP) canidate, Adebayo Ali, as the only remaining candidate. With only a month left till elections, this has thrown a massive wrench in process that was supposed to lead to a more stable state within Nigeria. While Ali enjoys a very healthy support among the populace, as he was a military commander in both Civil Wars, his former rival Aanuti Ruskin was starting to approach him in the polls. Ruskin's party with the Nigerian People Party or NPP.

Both side generally have the same views in regards to economics and social positions but the NPP was much open to alliances and trade deals with other members of the international community, especially Australia. This shift towards Australia comes from the belief that it was Australia who vouched for them in the CSN and who helped convinced the FSR to aid them again the first place. They believe purposely cutting out other nations will doom the NSRA and that attempts to spread socialism, even peacefully among Africa will be met with violent resistance

The NSP however, believes that without FSR and South America the NSRA wouldn't exist at all and has taken a similar stance to FSR state Orostan that most of the world would be glad to see it destroyed and believes that pivoting to another country, especially Australia, is both an insult and against the principles of the NSRA. They claim the Australian government is motivated by neo colonialism rather then any good intentions and that Puertonello was already the first country to offer aid, followed by the FSR. They also say they do not plan to spread socialism by force but rather by showing and communicating with African governments about the benefits of such a system .

The NSP dominates both the house and senate of the NSRA and they voted to continue the elections. The NPP however rejected this saying elections should be extended for another 6 months to a year as its not fair for them to try and field another candidate so soon. They also contend the NSRA's first real election should not be marred by simply handing it over to Ali. The NSP rejects this idea as they say the NSRA cannot be run by an interim council for much longer as it may destroy the creditably of the government and show weakness to the ICN.

This is further compounded by the fact the NSP is willing to take in the HNA break away state based in Benin, with Ali saying as soon as he is made president he will do so. The NPP is greatly against this idea unless with CSN approval as such a move could cascade into another unnecessary war with the world's powers. There is a revote expected to take place in the House and Senate this week to see what will happen. It's expected the NPP will field a candidate regardless but will heavily protest the election.

French Confederation holds exercises with allies

The French Confederation has held bilateral military drills with the British Empire's naval fleet in the Atlantic, in addition to land, air, and sea drills with NAF personnel at the series of multinational bases in Vietnam. Foreign forces have been based in Vietnam for some time following the Indochina Wars, and so the North Americans were cheered by hundreds of citizens lining the streets as the military vehicles of both nations traveled between training grounds due to their part in the state's liberation from communist rule. Other countries with a presence in Indochina, including the Soviet and Germanic Unions, have also been asked to consider holding bilateral exercises with their forces based there.

An invitational football tournament in Saigon has also been proposed, with the goal of using the profits to support the construction of a hospital in Cambodia. All nations who qualified for the past world cup are invited to send a team to compete.

Other news:

French Confederation offers assistance to China in their criminal investigations.

Volunteers aid state officials in partial deforesting of areas on their side of the French Indochinese Federation's northern border in order to reduce the possibility of illegal crossings.

(OOC: when final results are confirmed) President of the Sixth Republic makes congratulatory phone call to Prime Minister Akbar on their successful reelection.

Avanroa Eagle News Network is a news network based in Melbourne Australia. The news agency is the top-grossing news agency in Australia and employs 2,000 employees and staff. The agency is ranked as one of the most unbiased networks in the globe and has significantly given out high-quality content as of late. Although relatively young, the agency builds cooperative collaborations with well known Australian agencies for better quality news

FORCADOS - Australian forces continue their push to reach the city stronghold of Warri in southern Nigeria. The Australian forces under Operation Cheran, have been able to capture 543 sq km of enemy territory and have captured key towns and villages as well as securing highways and roads on which to use for future advances.

As of now the Operation is 2 days ahead of schedule and lead elements of the 3rd Infantry Brigade, the 5th Battalion, are already within view of the main metropolis of Warri after securing several suburban districts in Ugbisi and Okwagbe. Meanwhile, southern flanking forces of the 7th Infantry Brigade continue to roll across towns South-Southwest of Warri, already securing and re-establishing several mobile FOB units, some comprised of Spanish troops, such as the district of Ukwakwa, a district which is not really part of the original objectives of Operation Cheran, but has since fallen into Australian hands due to poor resistance and morale to fight from the enemy.Up in the northern flanks, the 30th Mechanized Battalion continue to roll across the mudlands and swamps without that much resistance except for occasional sniper and mortar fire.

Meanwhile the 12th Mechanized Infantry Division, stationed in the border town of Uwusuo, still await further instructions even after waiting in idle for already close to 6 months. The 12th MID, 12,000 strong along with several IFVs and APCs, will either be tasked to secure the nearby city of Benin or will be sent up north to conduct a defensive line against the incoming ICN.

Typical sight in Nigeria. Destroyed vehicles.

From more than 35,000 troops, 45,000 Scops and about 1,000 vehicles in Nigeria, there have been about 630 casualties.69 of which are confirmed Killed-In-Action, another 562 wounded, 31 in critical conditions all of which are back in Australia undergoing treatment, and a lone missing soldier. Fortunately there have been no Support combat personnel that have been killed since the country's entry into the war.

Unsurprisingly, media coverage of the events in Nigeria have been allowed to a certain extent. Several media outlets from Australia were given an exclusive access by the Australian Army to see the aftermath of Gbekebor, countless bodies littered the streets, columns of smoke rose up as the entire area was forcibly burned down. Survivors hastily took the opportunity to move to the already crowded Forcados Perimeter for safety of their own lives.

Start-Up Magella Demo Begins

The Start-Up Magella Demo has begun! Yesterday was its first day, welcoming talented individuals and their innovative ideas as they competed for spots in the S Factory, which will only accept twenty to thirty startups out of the hundreds that attended. These individuals came from around the world to attend, hoping that their idea could soon become reality. Startup founders will receive verdicts on acceptance into the program a day after the Demo finishes, a little less than a week from now.

Here's a clip from the Demo yesterday, with reporter Francesca Maria Consuela Gonzalez Damaso Garcia Ramón Lucia Greenberg Gomez.

The following is a transcript.

Hi, everyone, I'm Francesca Maria Consuela Gonzalez Damaso Garcia Ramón Lucia Greenberg Gomez, and I'm here at the first ever Start-Up Magella Demo right in Santiago, it just started a couple of hours ago, and, folks, you can feel the atmosphere here, with everyone hoping to get accepted and to have their ideas really take off. Today and tomorrow won't be nearly as flashy or crowded as the Seed Program Demo Days are expected to be, but this place right here is filled with innovation that excites. These innovators have boards and posters and flyers describing blueprints and compositions of the products they hope to make, and just how useful these things can be. Some of these people will, in a few years, be successful businessmen and businesswomen, and their products common in households, so there is a lot at stake here for them. Slipups could mean the burying of their project under the hundreds of others just in this section, and the unfortunate rejection from the program. There's a lot of pressure on these guys, a lot at stake, but it's all more than worth it because of the rewards to come, and the selection committee is gonna have a really tough time getting through all of these and choosing just twenty to thirty. These are all really innovative designs, and I know at least I would love to have some of them inside my own home. These are some very smart people, all competing for the highly selective position of Start-Up Magella participant. I feel smarter just standing in the same room as them! And we all hope things will go well for them.

A Northcott destroyer under construction in a TransGen Bulgaria shipyard

SOFIA - On October 5th, Bulgarian Time, the Bulgarian Armed Forces opened bidding for new naval ship designs as part of their ongoing plan to modernize the Bulgarian Navy as well as to contend with other nearby regional powers such as Ukraine and Russia. Several shipbuilding companies were quick to send offers. Heavyweight shipbuilding companies such as Fincantieri and TransGen Inc offered promises on the production of ships, while France was reportedly offering help as well. After some quick talks and discussions TransGen Inc was able to win a government contract from the Bulgarian government to supply the Bulgarian Navy with 15 new naval destroyers, specifically the Northcott-class Guided Missile Destroyers, for a sum of $21,750M.

TransGen Inc's subsidiaries TransGen Bulgaria, TransGen Ukraine, TransGen Greece and TransGen Libya have been ordered to set aside at most 30% of all operations into constructing the said ships, 9 of which will be constructed in TransGen Bulgaria's 3 operating shipyards. The subsidiary has already opened close to 2,000 new job openings for the speedy construction of the ships. With most of the ships already located in or nearby their target customer, travel and delivery costs will be expected to be cut by 70% which will generate a bigger profits and income for the subsidiary.

Costs generating sectors such as labor, machines, electricity, materials and other miscellaneous costs will also be cut as the subsidiary has agreed to buy local materials such as steel, plating and metal augments from Ukraine and Bulgaria, while workers will be hired from nearby communities with the order to hire Bulgarians as priority. Total costs for each ships's construction will estimated at $700M with a profit before tax of approximately ~$750M/ship or in total a profit of about ~$11.25B.

It is no secret however that the ships will be given to the Bulgarian Navy without weapons, as additional miscellaneous weapons will be not be up to TransGen Inc's own judgement but by the Bulgarian government itself. The first ships are expected to undergo sea trials by Feb or March of 2020 and be ready for commission by end of July 2020, a span of about 9 months time. However, the company has assured that no other than quality ships will be sold to the Bulgarian Navy.

As of 2019, there are currently 49 Northcott destroyers on active service. All are in the Australian Navy, with operations in South America,Africa, Asia and the Pacific.

'New Tokyo' established

After nearly a year of construction and an immense amount of speculation the world's first underwater colony has been constructed within the Ryukyu Economic Zone. The colony, established as New Tokyo, is a project by wealthy individuals within Japan to create a utopia below the waves, but so far it has gone poorly. Due to it being the first of its kind there have been many issues building the twenty-two underwater complexes and the five large domes that make up the colony. Water leaks, power supply, and even the docking facilities have been causing too many issues for the elites who started the project. Due to this the project was sold to the Japanese Government who has placed the project under Project Lancer's jurisdiction along with Pentaocean. Currently only five complexes and one dome are operation with a small dock with the rest in either disrepair or flooded. Surprisingly the government is optimistic about the colony's success as its position in the REZ could make it a trade hub and the facilities already present such as hotels, bars, and other entertainment could create a new commercial sector within the REZ.

Image

New Tokyo currently has a population of 300 and is currently designated Tokyo Station until the entire facility is operational.

Underwater World Reorganized

Today the final pylon in the C-LNK system has been established, completing nearly three years of construction on the underwater communication system the spans the Pacific. Thanks to help from Pentaocean and JMU, the government was able to expedite the construction by increasing the number of ships and personnel involved with the project. Now, due to these efforts communications underwater extends from the shores of Japan to the isles of Kiribati. Because of this Japan has reorganized the underwater economic zones into traffic control regions to better control trade and deploy rescue teams in light of the recent disappearance of an underwater tanker. The C-LNK system has also been connected to surface links so underwater vessels can also maintain contact with not just submarine contacts but surface ones as well.

Image

The new Economic Zones that have been established can be found here.

Underwater Racing

With the development of submarines and their construction spreading across Japan a new sport has arisen: Submarine Racing. Off the coastline of several Japanese cities underwater course have been laid out for small high speed submersibles of all shapes and sizes. These races, while seldom occurring at first, have becoming increasingly popular and are quickly becoming one of the more popular TV events in the nation. Further, the major companies like Toyoda and and Mitsubishi have begun to establish teams and the major networks have begun to commence talks with the organizations that run the races in an attempt to create a set of rules and one single organization to run the races. Sports fans in Japan may have a new venue.

Image

A Change of Pace?

Ever since the military buildup after Article 9's alteration Japan has been reasserting itself as a military power. While the government and military officers have been incredibly happy with the results, Japan's people have a different opinion. A survey shows that 74% of Japanese people feel that the governments strong arm policy across the Pacific and on the international stage is not Japan should be carrying itself. The Nigerian War underlined this as Japan's presence in the conflict is now minimal after leading the charge into the theater. With low public support, the government is forced to re-examine its stance on the international stage and with elections around the corner there is a serious possibility Prime Minister Ado could loose his position as Prime Minister.

Completion of Costanera Center!

Developed by the multinational Magellan-based retail giant Cencosud, Costanera Center was an ambitious project to produce a business and commercial complex that would completely change the Santiago skyline. The complex began construction in 2006, with construction expected in less than four years. However, construction actually took just under thirteen years, due to the products related to construction materials and the permits necessary for such construction. However, now it is ready and open for business, all of it having just been opened last week. The complex includes a shopping mall and four separate skyscrapers, with a total area of almost 700,000 meters.

The shopping mall is the "basis" of the complex. It opened in the summer of 2012, and is the largest in all of South America. This seven floor building is home to over 300 stores, including a massive hypermarket Jumbo (with over 100 aisles to browse), Chilean department stores, Paris, Falabella and Ripley, foreign brands such as TopShop, Zara, Levi’s, Bobbi Brown, M.A.C., Espirit, Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein, Steve Madden, Victoria’s Secret and H&M, and home and garden store Easy. Each floor has a theme, ranging from banking services to sporting equipment and clothing. There are over 50 restaurants, ranging from fast food to luxury dining to desserts. It also includes a cinema with 14 theaters, able to seat up to almost 3,000 people, that shows the latest Hollywood releases. Additionally, there is a large gym on the upper floor. On every floor there are built-in touch screen navigation modules for those searching for specific stores or products. It also includes Magella's first Hard Rock Cafe.

On one corner of the complex is the Costanera Torre 2, more commonly known as the Gran Torre Santiago. It is the second tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere, standing at 300 meters high and covering 128,000 square meters with 74 floors. Open to the public just one year after the shopping mall, it is completely an office building. Cencosud itself has moved its headquarters to the buildings, and many other cooperatives as well have established offices, with international companies such as Bayer also having offices. It has an observation deck that provides a 360 degree view of Santiago and nearby mountains.

Costanera Torre 4 is the smallest tower, standing at only 109 meters tall with 27 floors and 88,000 square meters in area. It serves as a small medical center, but additionally hosts more offices.

The two twin towers, Costanera Torre 1 and 3, are 170 meters tall with areas of 105,000 square meters and 41 floors each. The first ten floors of each are connected to the shopping mall, and serve as five star hotels. The other thirty one floors are offices, with some small restaurants in each. The roofs can serve as helicopter landing pads.

Expected to have around 240,000 people entering and exiting the complex daily, there is an underground parking garage with five levels featuring "Find Your Car" parking technology that can hold up to 4,500 cars. Additionally, there is an aboveground tunnel straight from the Tobalaba Metro Station to the inside of the mall.

The four towers feature glass curtain walls with high-performance coatings that permit only low levels of radiant heat in to keep the indoor environment comfortable. The entire complex also has the world’s largest installation of water-cooled condensing units in a building, using water from the nearby San Carlos canal to dissipate heat. This innovation results in an extremely efficient energy-transfer circuit, providing greater energy savings, and a substantial reduction in potentially harmful emissions. Additionally, the waters used are sent back to the canal cleaner than they were before. A 30,000 square meter green roof covers the entire complex except for the towers, and it gets all of its energy from renewable resources, including solar panels and wind turbines.

New Technologies Hit the Market

This week was the annual Tokyo Technology Forum where new or emerging technologies are announced to the market. While the past few years have been mostly focused on cars or ships this year was focused on handhelds and utility items. Below are the highlights of the three-day Forum.

The Global Translator is the successor of the translator that the Japanese forces have been using in Nigeria. The new translator is more compact with a smaller and more comfortable earpiece that has the microphone built into it. The earpiece consolidates the translating into a single device making it cheaper. The group also took the change to announce the Pacific Update, sating that nay language in the Pacific is now able to be used with the translator. This includes colonial languages like German, French, and Dutch as well as local dialects of Pacific Islanders.

In an effort to improve battlefield and on site medicine, a new start up called Japan Medical (Or JMed) had created the world's first device that can instantly analyze the state of a patient in less the a minute. This device monitors heart rate, blood pressure, and even neural stimulation to make a diagnosis about a person. The device can currently be used to identity cases of asthma to common allergies and bacteria. JMed has plans to include the identification of fractures and broken bones through the neural stimulation senors in a patch late this year. This product is being shipped in early November.

Pentaocean revealed earlier today that it has recently come up with a way to mass produce transparent aluminum. The technique is being kept a secret for now by the company but it showed off the material in habitats and a new subfighter cockpit that is being co-developed with ASD. The company has plans to further incorporate it into electronics as the glassware produces would be able to produce shatter proof and waterproof screens at half the cost.

Developed for the military to replace conventional radios, this small curricular device is a simple tap to talk communications device that can be pinned on clothing or straps. The hardware is not what is new about this tech, it is the voice recognition and individual ID system that makes each EZ-Com unit unique to its individual user. The user can specify who to contact and the onboard unit can even be linked to local computer systems, allowing status updates on Navy warships to be announced quicker and position of army troops to be confirmed easier. Lastly each unit is equipped with a tracker that uses both satellite and the C-LNK system so the location of all individuals can be accounted for, something that is invaluable to search and rescue teams. This device is available now.

JMed also unveiled a new advanced syringe that is paired with its Medical Pad, the Jet-Med. Using intense air pressure from a miniature compressor the syringe is capable of injecting medication directly into the skin without the use of a needle. The air pressure can be set to different settings depending on the medication so it can be injected into the skin at the proper level. The syringe is joined with a standard set of medications that come pre-packed that are encased in refillable plastic tubes and hold everything from liquid aspirin to morphine. The tube is an easy screw on with a sensor that identifies the mixture within the tube, First responders and the military have ordered large quantities of the device as it could offer critical urgent care.

Probably one of the most interesting announcements came from SHI today with the reveal of their Fabricator. This hyper-advanced 3D printer uses the industrial level high speed printing used to build Navy submarines at a small scale and is coupled with a computer database with over 300,000 different schematics of all sorts. The machine can print items up to three feet long and a foot and a half wide in just under six minutes. However, what truly makes this system unique is that it is not a stand alone unit, but a network meant for complexes. All of the printers are connected to a massive tank of materials that sends the components to the fabricator. This includes metals, fibers, and liquids. Most impressively is the food variant that is able to inject flavoring into a starch-based compound to simulate different tastes. While the system isn't the best tasting, it is far cheaper then any on the market. The both the food and standard models also come in a 'vending machine' variety for those wanting to try out the Fabricator before refitting their facility for its use. Currently SHI is taking orders for the machines and a prototype system is currently installed in New Tokyo.

Where the Navy has been building massive full scale monster submersibles and tiny nimble subfighters, ASD has come up with the middle man, the Pacific class patrol submarine. Meant to be the in between this ship can reach speeds of over 50 knots and is armed with two auto-loading RTS torpedo tubes and three aqua-guns to combat threats. Its small 12 man crew and sleek profile allow it to hide easier from detection and also allows it to fit places where the larger submarines cannot. The Navy plants to order several of these ships to work in tangent with the fleet and to conduct rescue operations and coastal patrol. The first ship, ONS Pacific is already in service as of today
.

With submersible racing now gripping the nation, ASD decided to join the part. While there is currently no construction on any designs the company displayed the design for several different racing subs at the Forum, all of which capable of reaching speeds exceeding 150 knots. ASD expressed that it was looking forward to releasing it "Ace's" into the sports world which has led to many calling the new submarine class the Ace Class. Racing fans are eagerly awaiting the first set group of purpose built racing machines to compete against the home-made underdogs in the current racing world.

New naval outpost for Australia and Malacca

Laut Island, a new naval base in partnership with Malacca, under construction

KOTA KINABALU - The Australian military recently announced that it has started construction of a new naval outpost in the Pulau Laut Islands in the Riau islands south of the South China Sea. The military had received confirmation from the Sultanate of Malacca to begin construction operations in the island in order to begin developing the area as well as to help begin constructing needed facilities.

The island is part of the Sultanate of Malacca , but due to constraints to their naval presence has agreed to a joint naval outpost with the Australian Navy.. The outpost will be home to a new airbase and 3 - 3,200 m long runways as well as to feature an early warning radar site. The airbase will be building several hangars to accommodate combat aircraft as well as larger transport planes.

A new harbor will be built to provide naval ships a form of port for crews to be able to disembark from. It is expected that due to island's good natural harbors, it will only take some new breakwaters for a safe harbor to be established, with land port facilities only necessary for repairs. Around 15-20 destroyer sized ships from Malacca and Australia will be allowed to enter the port.

The outpost will also hold garrisons for the 500 troops that will be stationed there as well as some 400 airbase personnel and some 400 Scops. To provide a form of income for the government, the outpost will be open to tourists from the mainland and nearby countries, with a quota of 800 tourists per month only, with no double visits allowed. The island's local population is expected to benefit from the tourism industry as well as government support from Malacca and Australia for local hand made products and the fishing industry.

The Australian Navy in cooperation with Malaccan naval ships and several Hobart destroyers have already stationed and patrolled the nearby waters. The naval outpost is part of the two countries' ongoing operations against pirates in the area as part of the Malacca-Australia Military Access Agreement. This military base will be the third Australian military base near the South China sea, with one in Hainan Island, and another in Balabac Island.

Energy Effort!

The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources announced a couple weeks ago the commencement of a new energy program aimed at more environmentally friendly energy sources, specifically to eliminate the 25% of Magella's energy that came from sources like oil and gas. The Ministry's former police was to sell land to electric coops based on how they planned to use it; costs increased exponentially for coops seeking to build power plants based off of nonrenewable resources. Now, this policy has been extended to power transmission lines, which will also cost higher when coming from nonrenewable power plants.

Shortly after this announcement, former state-owned coop ENDESA, which is by far the largest energy provider in Magella, producing the most combined energy, having the largest number of power plants, having the largest transmission and distribution network, and servicing the most customers, announced that a wind farm it had been constructing and testing was finally operational. Normally, this wouldn't be news, but that specific wind farm of only one hundred turbines consisted only of wind turbines from the Austro-Danubian Empire's Project FederSCHLOB. These wind turbines are quite innovative in design, much larger and efficient than their normal counterparts. Each turbine is able to produce 1 gigawatt of energy and could power, on average, 750,000 homes while costing only 75 million NAF$ each.

The turbines are very large in size, each requiring 100 acres of land. The wind farm is set near the coastal city of Ovalle, which is optimized for wind energy gathering. The only resource necessary to be restocked to keep the plant going is liquid nitrogen, so ENDESA built a factory for it on the same land as the farm, citing it as part of necessary maintenance.

Additionally, the Magellan government announced that property taxes on sources of transportation that do not emit harmful greenhouse gases, such as electric cars or bicycles, would be waived or reduced.

Magellan Emigrants in Balabac Island!

Due to the recent attempt to violate Magella's sovereignty by the oppressive, imperialist hypocrites calling themselves the Federation of Socialist Republics, a large number of Magellan citizens have participated in the Australian Operation Horizon, to flee from border areas, especially the city of Arica. While not enforcing a mandatory evacuation due to the fact that fighting has not spread beyond the borders, the Magellan government encouraged such movements for the citizens' safety.

Many popular Magellan coops have seen this as an opportunity to spread their businesses even further internationally, to places where their business operations are a minimum: the economically powerful Asia-Pacific region. Balabac Island, the destination of the refugees, however, is largely undeveloped, although many construction projects are currently taking place at the hands of the Italian Edifice Group.

While competitor Cencosud was more focused on the grand full opening of the Costanera Center, other multinational retail coop S.A.C.I. Falabella silently began construction of a number of two large shopping malls through its brand Mall Plaza. Both would be of the same size and design, larger than the new Costanera Mall by 100 square meters in gross leasable area. Additionally, two Tottus hypermarkets, one Sodimac home improvement warehouse store, and five Falabella department stores. All endeavors were undertaken by the Magellan real estate development and construction coop SalfaCorp, which undertook the Costanera Center project.

Immediately Cencosud followed up with one shopping mall, threeJumbo hypermarkets, two Santa Isabel Supermarkets, one Easy home improvement warehouse stores, and two Paris department stores, contracting other Magellan construction coops. Smaller competitor Ripley began construction of one shopping mall and three department stores.

Additionally, telecommunications coop Entel, known for having wide-reaching networks in even remote areas,. began extending its fixed line, mobile phone, internet, and digital television services and networks through Balabac island. Magellan shipping coop CSAV began setting up routine routes from Valparaiso and other ports to Balabac island.

The coops' reason for such endeavors is that a large portion of the population of the island is already familiar and dependent on them, so the situation provides an easy way to expand into Asia-Pacifican markets. If these early projects prove successful, all of these coops and more have hinted or outright stated their intention to aggressively expand business operations to the island.

In Other News: Magella joins the DWTI, experts expect underwater mining boom soon; "That's still happening? It feels like it started ages ago," says Magellan citizen in Santiago about the current war; Close cousin of popular reporter Esteban Julio Ricardo Montoya de la Rosa Ramirez goes missing

The Shield of the Pacific

Early today the government revealed that a new top-secret facility had been finished off of the coast of Japan, several hundred miles. 700 Feet below sea level spanning two and a half miles on the top of an underwater mountain is the newly completed Fort Geisha. Construction was started in early 2017 under the command of Captain Iwora of the I-501 and the facility was just completed early last week. In light of the war in South America the government has released the flowing statement about the base:

When this nation opened itself to the rest of the world once more we were unsure of who to trust, and of how we would be able to stay ahead of this world of evolving military combat. Project Lancer was our longer term research and development solution, but we needed to have an active solution, a frontline. Fort Geisha is that frontline. An underwater supply depot and fortress that is Japan's last line of Defense to any threat. The facility itself was built to be an underwater dock for the vessels of Project Lancer and as such it has now become the fleet headquarters for the 1st Submarine Battlegroup. It has food stocks and munitions warehouses to fully stock the fleet and a team of underwater repair submarines for quick fixes. However, this is the frontline and as such it needs the weapons to be that frontline. The facility is manned by 2,000 men full time and has a full array of RTS Turrets, Aquaguns, and Subfighter bays. However, while this facility can fight below the seas, its main purpose is to defend from threats from above.

In light of the wars where Ballistic Missiles rained down and set fire to so many nations, Japan came up with a solution. Using C-LNK, Satillites, and Laser targeting incoming Ballistic missiles can be tracked and targeted and this information is sent to Fort Geisha. The Fort has an undisclosed number of underwater silos that are holding the new MK-IV 'Rising Sun' Hyper-sonic Missiles that will use this data to launch countermeasures to destroy incoming ballistics. However, this does not just cover Japan, but the entirety of the Asia Pacific, meaning Japan now has the capacity to protect all of APN Pacific Members from ballistic threat. Currently the military cannot reveal any more information about this project.

Military Restructure

In light of the new need for Naval assets with far reaching naval claims and a large amount of income now from sources below the sea, Japan is commencing a restructuring of its armed forces. The annual budget of 500 Billion NSD will be redistributed in order to expand the Navy and its abilities. 300 NSD is being given to the Navy for new ships, technologies, and underwater facilities to build up a substantial submarine fleet. However, this means that the Air Force and Army will be receiving major cuts with each only be providing 100 Billion to maintain their respective services. The Army is expected to put dozens of Cold War Era military vehicles into mothball and reduce its reserves from 1.2 Million from 1.7 Million while the Air Force is going to be rolling back the number of combat helicopters to 150 and focus more on fighter assets to maintain aerial superiority. Meanwhile the Navy is ordering a new Attack Submarine and a Ballistic Missile Submarine, 200 more MF-6 Subfighters, and establishing three more underwater bases.

Wartime Production

While the War in South America is currently in a standoff, the same cannot be said on the homefront. Japan's factories are pumping out the weapons of war and preparing to send them to bolster the presence of the Japanese Navy on the South American Front. New Subfighter factories have been built in Osaka, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and Sapporo while the three factories in Yokohama have been building the MF-5 and MF-6 at a frightening pace with 53 built since the start of the war. The Yokohama Submarine Yards have seen the same amount of progress with all eight of the shipyard's sites in use. A group of three cruisers and five attack submarines have joined the waiting 3rd Battlegroup off of Japan and an additional eight attack submarines are now under construction. This unprecedented speed is thanks to the 3D printed parts being built and shipped from all over the country, allowing the shipyard to only focus on the pressure hull and internal structure. Lastly, the Abyss has just launched two new vessels being the subcarrier Taiho and the submarine battlecruiser Micronesia that will be also joining the 3rd Battlegroup.

Establishment of Pacific Seabed Development Commission

While Japan has been preparing for war, it has also been thinking of peace. The Japanese Government authorized the creation of the Pacific Seabed Development Commission (PSDC) this morning. This Commission has been tasked with the management and encouragement of underwater development from mines to colonies. The Commission has been grated subsidies and incentives to present to companies who are looking to build underwater within the newly established underwater zones in Micronesia, Kiribati, the Marshall Islands, and off the coast of Japan. Japan hopes that this will bolster the economy and encourage technological advances in underwater engineering.
