(OOC: Aus, if you for some reason feel my submarines are too close, let me know.)

Somewhere in the Ocean
SSBN-011 'Rubama'

The surface fleet of Mecklenburg-Cispomerania's fleet ultimately found itself unable to travel as quickly as it's pristine Ohio-class submarines, and combined with the viewpoint that other nations with bigger fleets could more efficiently handle enemy naval and aerial threats, and geo-political developments involving Azadistan's membership in the Aestorian Commonwealth, the surface ships probably wouldn't arrive on their intended station several thousand kilometers away from Azadistan, if at all. There had been some rumors among commanding staff that the Naval Headquarters back home thought modern-day, state-sanctioned piracy was a more efficient way of fighting a enemy with numbers as superior as the Aestorian Commonwealth's.

These rumors weren't affecting the mission of the Ohio's, however. Their job was only going to be affected by the possibility of the Commonwealth no longer being a valid enemy. They had voted only hours ago to kick out Azadistan from protectorate status within 36 hours, which meant there was now 32 hours for the submarines to engage the Commonwealth before it couldn't reasonable continue hostilities. Currently about 650 miles to the north-east from Ausitorian carriers, the 'wolfpack' was steaming at a speed of around 29 miles per hour towards it's designated targets. The submarines had never seen real combat like this before, and their crews were certainly eager to see if they could achieve some kills - maybe even one of the Peacemaker-class carriers. Using some basic math, it was determined that it would take ten and a half hours to place the submarines at the exact estimated positions of where those carriers would be, of course the travel time would differ depending on their actual locations. Given that the navy still possessed plenty of time and ability to fight the enemy and deal great military and economic damage even with the time constraints an imminent peace treaty posed, why not go for it?
Mecklenburg-Cispomerania is Muslim. No, this is not a commentary on the European Union's immigration policies. I just lost a bet and was told to have my nation's people convert to Islam because it was funny or something.

Sadek wasted no time given to him by the almighty as battle draws near, he immediately commanded the fleet that was sent for Khataiy to be diverted towards Azadistani territory for the sake of its protection, much to the chagrin of the troops who were sent for the nation as they were looking forward to crush some Baathists at Syria (despite not realizing that Sadek had been silently adopting Baathism as his nation's official ideology). The AWAC teams remained vigilant as they went about their journey keeping an eye if any enemy fleet was heading within range for which they shall annihilate immediately with whatever assets they have. Close contacts with fellow Baathist allies such as Erdoganistan and Ishraq where ensured so as to respond with haste once they need assistance in the elimination of an enemy within range or to remain vigilant with the use of allied intel.

Meanwhile, ground forces stationed in Azadistan immediately were relayed to be armed and ready for any kind of response whether it be to evacuate civilians in the event of a terrible disaster, suppress any untoward insurrection or to prepare for any other defensive and offensive operations. Supplies kept arriving unto Azadistan via allied aerial and naval convoys. Anti air were stationed althroughout then coast but platforms were spread out reasonably. Anti air Kampanyas were spread out according to their respective radar ranges sharing information in real time via the guardian system which were left usable by the Yemeni forces even after the bayan had fallen. The centerpiece of the kampanyas were the SU-400 launchers which were prepared to fire a variety of warheads depending on what the situation demands. They were flanked by SPAAGs and SU 300s. They were near enough to protect each other to nullify the effects of a possible barrage in an attempt to destroy the forces' aerial defenses. All in all, these made up the defenses that were to be stationed in Azadistan.

Eid

Postby Azadistan-land of the free » Thu Jun 14, 2018 11:08 pm

The soldier's and officer's families are invited to celebrate Eid al Fitr at base.
They are hearing speeches on the nobility of fighting to defend their Muslim brothers and are being given money and Eid cards from the government as well as their family and friends. Also the increase in charitable giving has meant that the families of dead soldiers are benefiting as are wounded soldiers themselves.
(All this would improve morale)

It should be noted that Royal House Blaken-Kazansky bears no love to Azadistan. Azadistan's foreign policy has been irresponsible, and its sponsorship of terrorism morally decrepit as well. That said, we believe that given its current engagement in chattel slavery, Munkchester has placed its operations beyond what is often called the 'moral event horizon'. At this point we no longer care who started it or who invaded whom first. Due to the fact Munkchester permitting a literal slave market to operate in territory it controls, buying and selling citizens of Azadistan as if they were cattle, we now believe violence against Munkchester is totally justified.

Furthermore, in fulfilment of our promise that a fraction of the profits from the sale, by Kazansky Heavy Industries, of the Quiver-class warship, will be spent to support violent action that kills slavers, we are hereby ordering the transfer of one billion dollars to the nation of Azadistan, to support its war effort against the Munkcestrian slaver.

To remove all doubt, nobody here care is the 'slave market' is operated directly by the 'state' of Munkchester or by a private entity. The fact that these activities are not illegal, and that the 'state' of Munkchester had made threats to 'protect' agents of the slave market against international intervention, makes the Munkcestrians entirely responsible.

Therefore we are forced to voice our moral support for Azadistan, until the slavery activities of the Munkcestrians are ceased – one way or another.

Cuthbert Collins, or Cuth as he was known to his friends, was a shipyard worker who had the misfortune to share a name with the Lord Lieutenant.

The Lord-President was a homeless man who merely had the delusion he was the Lord President.

Louisia had been named as part of the never-ending trend to mutate children's names. Her classmates included Jaymes, Katelynn, Ashlee, Kamryn, Konner, and several others whose parents seemed to have an obsession with the letter K. She too had no relation to the actual Queen-Empress, who was named Louisa and who actually had no part whatsoever in the war.

They have been released the convictions are now considered to apply to the actual leaders.

Munkchestrian warriors- a documentary

Postby Azadistan-land of the free » Fri Jun 15, 2018 10:17 am

Experts on Munkchester and eyewitnesses have worked together with awarding winning fictional film directors to create a document on Munkchester
The documentary:
Part 1 intro
Narrator: you have known them as slavers, sex traffickers, child abusers, imperialists and genocidal maniacs who beheaded corpses. Now to understand you enemy as able warriors as well as these things.
Part 2 insurgency
(It shows Munkchestrians beating up and stabbing Azadistani soldiers and eventually killing a wounded man)
An Azadistani soldier: so we were looking for some Munkchestrian combatants and then out of nowhere these people all high on the drug alcohol started making non-descript thug comments and we were attacked I don't know what happened but me and my comrades shot them in the leg but they killed our captain and we were caught in the middle of 2 gangs.
Another soldier: yeah. I had never seen a drunk person before so all I knew was that they were high on some drug.

-it shows shots being fired at the insurgents-
Narrator: grenades had to be thrown because of a few drunk gangsters
Captain Ismail Bosnia: it was mad, I mean my parents are from Bosnia so I knew how it was a big but still. I mean some captain-majors say there won't be peace in Munkchester because as soon as the soldiers are gone the gangs will take their place.
Part 2 airforce
- the film shows Azadistanis flying into Munkchester until they are shot down-
Narrator : The airforce of Munkchester has won every single battle with Azadistan's RAF. Unlike the insurgent gangs who are volunteers the Imperial AirForce(after all they are imperialists) has conscripts and it is common place for young Munkchesterian men to be called to fight for their empire.
- there is a film of Azadistani airmen and soldiers surrendering-
So far those involved in the battles on the Azadistani side are missing, presumed to have been killed or enslaved.
Part 3 Munkchestrian culture
Munkchesterian law politics and society fit their imperialist aims.
All parts of societ collaborate to commit most of the crimes they are accused of.
Conscription is used, the drug alcohol is taken to make them reckless and ruthless, the queen's title is Queen-Empress and the public were exposed to the head of an Azadistani sultan.

Aresin has managed to procure (from Wolf Armaments) a naval force in order to defend Azadistan. Ships include:
These ships, along with the aircraft to complement them, are headed towards Azadistan. Once they reach Azadistan, crews will be selected for them, and given a hasty training course.

To: Azadistan, and any of her sea-faring allies
From: The Aresin Department of War

Friends, we have finally acquired a navy, in order to defend the land and people of Azadistan. However, as we were not a sea faring nation until today, we require assistance from those with naval experience. We would greatly appreciate the temporary transferal of your sailors to our newly founded navy, at least until we can begin to sufficiently train our own seamen, or until the war is over. We are prepared to pay any transferred sailor double their standard pay for as long as they are enlisted with us. We will also ensure that each sailor is given free life insurance and health insurance benefits for as long they are enlisted with us. We thank you for any seaman that you can spare.

Sincerely,
The Aresin Department of War

(OOC: Azadistan, as OP, had okayed my placement of my submarines originally.)

Mediterranean Sea
Southwest Coast of Azadistan

The two VAM-66s sailed under the waves in the night, through Harlonian airstrikes, Austorian and Azadistani propaganda and censorship. Eventually, they reached the shores of their target.
“Okay… Radio with the Cyrus is remarkably spotty here. I’m guessing it’s Austorian jamming efforts- so we’re not using that. I’ll transmit directly to sats using high-frequency, and from there we’ll contact home.” One helmsman of the submarines told his passengers, who nodded in acceptance.

They had a job to complete, and they wouldn’t care about some radio blocking.
“We’re within 200 yards of our first catches.” The helmsman commented, as he switched off the engines and filled the ballast tanks with half air, putting the submarines at neutral buoyancy.
3 Navy Grey Dragons, in full scuba gear, armor, and with their weapons, stood up and walked to the back of the VAM-66, where there was a booth-sized airlock meant for such types of operations.

The moment they hit the cool, inky-black Mediterranean waters, all 6 soldiers from both submarines, they readied their armaments; .35 caliber rocket-propelled darts shot in .50 caliber sabots from their UUA Mk. I pistols and Mk. III automatic carbines meant to be used for amphibious operations, and turned on their nightvision.
After some swimming assisted by small propulsion units attached to their backs, they switched over to thermal vision; aiming down the sights at several Azadistani soldiers on the patrol of a beach- and let loose a barrage of shots towards them.

The muzzle flashes were nearly invisible while underwater, and while the darts themselves were remarkably loud and bright, one could barely hear the shots themselves over the sounds of rushing waves while out of the water- giving the Exodians a perfect screen to begin the attacks- the first shots of the now-enflamed conflict would be in the Angel’s Alliances’, and Exodia’s, favor.

Various task forces and fleets
The oceans

The 2-submarine task force, 'Herod's Walrus', of the Peopledom of Falrieg Navy, continued their journey towards Azadistan, their steam turbines working tirelessly propelling these swords of the sea. The submarines continued to bear minimal signature such that detection remained difficult and it was desired and optimal that their adversaries were to not enjoy even a sixth sense of a sudden wreckage of their day about to occur prior to them delivering their deadly strike as intended by the will of the Falriegian people. Taking a route balancing low traffic and thus stealth as well as efficiency of travel, Herod's Walrus expected to arrive at the objective in 24 hours at the speed they were currently moving at.

The captain of the PFS (Peopledom of Falrieg Ship) Nestor Malenkov and also frontline commander of the Herod's Walrus taskforce and its operations, Lazar Kotrić, patiently waited for occurrences that would truly demand his and the unit's attention in the command and control room, as he was seated with his deputies and comrades discussing the action of their deployment. Kotrić was indeed honoured to carry out a notable execution of the will of the Peopledom for the first time since its establishment two years ago, and was bent on refusing to disappoint his fatherland through his efforts. Already a submarine commander before the Reaction, he would be trained further by Zyriki naval instructors after Zemekov's rise to power, and from them he learned the nature of sea combat which could only be described as unceasing, relentless and exhausting, demanding the apex of one's attention for every moment of it.

Tens of thousands of kilometers away, the 8th SSU that had departed from Sanivo some time before was cruising towards Azadistan as well. The Ausitorian intention to withdraw from the Azadistani trainwreck was apparent, however the Sinkom's deployment of a surface fleet was not to be revoked but rather maintained for the purpose of ensuring that the situation in Azadistan would truly be as the righteous entities of the world had desired so. Maintaining communications silence whenever it could, this fleet too had made attempts to render itself undetectable and unseen. The tracker ship which followed this unit would thus find its use. Equipped with a powerful suite of electronic and reconnaissance warfare assets, it would counter attempts by satellites to spot the whereabouts of the fleet through interfering the radio signals by which their radars would detect, while also transmitting high power signals to damage or disable temporarily sensors of those satellites.

From the aviation cruiser of the strike unit airborne early warning and control craft took off, scouting the perimeter of the fleet for the presence of hostile threats with a range of about 650 kilometers maximum. There was a total of 2 AWACS operating as part of the air complement of the strike unit, and should any hostile attempt to approach they will be quickly responded to upon detection by an abundance of methods typical strike groups had up their sleeves from fighter escorts to surface-to-air missiles. From escorting vessels there would also be reconnaissance drones surveying closer waters for unusual developments, as well as offering some degree of independent early warning capability should the AWACS be somehow neutralized.

With SISCA's slow but certain formalization underway as well as good situational sense by collaborating anti-imperialist efforts interested in Azadistan, the SIAF had became able to use expanding volumes of intelligence and information gathered by its current allies to its benefit in the operation. Any military presence where the deployments may extend their hand to of friendly and allied entities would certainly find the SIAF open to cooperation, the enemy at hand was surely not negligible or dismissible and dedicated act must be put through to ensure their utter failure with regards to their agenda.

Peopledom of Falrieg
Paramount Leader Imran Zemekov and numerous high ranking officials of the Peopledom, few of them really indispensable to the self-consuming counterintelligence state, had, after discussion on the Azadistani matter, decided that the recession of Aestorian control, entry of foreign troops and indisputable incompetence of the Azadistani government, which had greatly entertained the Peopledom's leadership and no doubt reinforced among the less open-minded of them the civilizational inferiority of Muslims and those with a skin color a few tones darker, meant all was ripe for the entry of the Peopledom into Azadistan that would surely result in whatever Zemekov would act based upon benefit for Falrieg, which had been surrounded by speculation on its nature for the two years since reaction. Outsiders would now be convinced of the Reaction's success in rejuvenating a nation, and the success of inducing 'virulent ultranationalism' and 'reactionary metastasis'.

As Zyrik(a) had a hand in raising the Reaction in Falrieg, so repeated would the Peopledom father a child as part of its participation in the great Global Reaction too. Many were frankly disgusted that this country would be the first for Falrieg to leave legacy on, but they were also convinced that if this would proceed as intended and meet expectations and prospects, nothing stopped them from bringing the awakening to more intelligent stock. The plan was very simple once summed up. An Ultranationalist government would be established in Azadistan, bringing its people to true freedom and awakening, gifting to them a state where their collective will would be unadulteratedly expressed with strength greater than steel ready to smash any in its way. This new Democracy however tolerates few to coexist with it, after all a mountain can not be home to two tigers, and it was necessary to stamp out every other significant movement present in Azadistan and alliances would only be transient.

Of importance was to establish a foothold. "The Aestorians have promised withdrawal, but prior to them actually doing so the blockade remains in effect and so easy deployment of assets will be not possible." spoke one of the officials of Zemekov's entourage. Indeed, that wall of alloys remained to be rendered rubble, but it was a separate matter altogether. "However, there have certainly appeared many rat holes we can utilize." noted another, "Do not forget that all these events have been caused by the idiocy of the Azadistanis, and it is their foolishness that will continue to steer matters, perhaps in our favor. I'll cut the flowery words and suggest that the Azadistani concessions to Munkchester be used as an entry point." This seemed agreeable to the others present, who would all voice approval of this plan until Zemekov himself responded positively and that would immediately be taken as signal by more sycophantic yet careerist officials to act as implied.

The Ministry of War's intelligence section took no time to relay to counterparts in the Munkcestrian government requesting clearance for Falriegian agents in Azadistani concessions, all was of course done in secrecy. There was also reluctant contact with Zarghestan regarding access to their holdings. However, even before replies could be received, under the guise of legitimate shipping and travel there would be attempts by the Peopledom to somehow establish a presence in Azadistan; agents would quickly disappear into the cities or countryside ready to begin enlightenment of the locals. All was needed was for a cell or group of ultranationalists to be established and from there activities could move on to Šadov's command.

And even before such attempts had fruited, Falriegian propaganda was to flood Azadistan in hopes of undermining social stability or by inspiring independent ultranationalist groups and thinkers, with satellite radio and television being used to deliver the message of the Peopledom to the Azadistani people. These broadcasts publicized atrocities, often exaggerated, of the Azadistani government's doing to its citizens, mocked the concessions of Azadistan to foreign powers, and also other propaganda that would ultimately paint the government of this state as a body no longer fit for the designation of a justified authority over a nation. Messages would also encourage rebellion against the current government and alignment with ultranationalism, as well as against other causes, such as Ba'athism and liberalism. Those with internet access would find (after the cyberattack from previous had subsided of course) their discussion boards flooded by trolls and useful idiots with the 'Ultranat pill', alongside screenfuls of criticism of the Azadistani government.

In Šadov there was rather enthusiastic discussion on how the composition of the Azadistani government should be dealt with. It had became almost consensus that the political elite in Azadistan was extremely inept and deficient, as evident by the events that have led to this moment. It was the opinion of many of the Peopledom's leadership that the entirety of said elite should be lynched without exception, and in its place arriving a much more capable (and obedient) replacement, although some began to doubt if material for such replacements can be found in Azadistan at all.

Salvage and Recovery Operations

Postby UniversalCommons » Sat Jun 16, 2018 7:51 pm

With the amount of sunken ships, leftover ordnance, and salvage left over from large numbers of battles, Redbeard saw an opportunity. He made the call to the Underwater Salvage and Recycling Cooperative. They were going to recover some of what had been left behind.

To Mimi Ohyes: "This is Redbeard of Redbeards Raiders we have noticed a lucrative business opportunity. There have been many battles in the ocean near Azadistan. Satellite pictures show the beaches littered with ordinance and leftovers from the sea battles. We wish to attempt to bring back some of these leftovers for our industry."

Mimi Ohyes, to Redbeards Raiders "We can send a group of recovery ships. Please do not engage in open battle. We will take what we can. Protect our ships in this effort."

A flotilla of a dozen fast ships would protect the Undersea Salvage and Recycling Cooperatives attempt to collect the leftovers from the many battles. The Undersea Salvage and Recycling Cooperative would send an additional dozen ships to recover material from the battles.

Thus began a surreptitious operation to recover material for the UniversalCommons. Small fast boats would comb the beaches for leftover supplies and metals bringing them back to the waiting ships. There were some smaller naval ships which they managed to raise with flotation devices and patch and send back to the UniversalCommons. They also raised a small submarine which had been flooded and towed it back toward the UniversalCommons.

They used satellite coverage to move away from any approaching ships as well as the coverage of darkness.

They even rescued a dozen sailors which they sent back to their respective countries.

What they were doing was plunder according to international law.

To Mimi Ohyes: "This is Redbeard of Redbeards Raiders we have noticed a lucrative business opportunity. There have been many battles in the ocean near Azadistan. Azadistani spies are sent to observe where the ships are going

The Azadistani spies follow the boats until they reach an island chain. As they get closer, they note that there are patrol UUVs (Unmanned Underwater Vehicles) in the water as well as what look like small observation blimps. It will be hard to follow the ships to a specific destination without being noticed.

They wait and notice that there are groups of fast attack ships coming in and out of the islands. They leave a wake behind them. Some of them are towing ships and a few even appear to be towing cargo planes. There are even some seagoing barges carrying scrap metal and recyclables. As it gets toward nightfall, a patrol vessel is approaching their area. It has what looks like several small helicopters flying above it.
