Ellie Watters, standing on the side of the stage, chuckled off camera at the back-and-forth. A producer pointed at her and gave her a nod, and her face shot back to total disinterest as the camera turned toward her.

"Let's move on to a topic that's on many Americans' minds recently — foreign policy. In an increasingly globalized world, America longs for the strength on the world stage she had decades ago. From bubbling trade wars, to a collapsing United Nations, to a famine quickly spreading worldwide, how would you change the trajectory of the nation's foreign policy as President of the United States?"

My, my. Egilson knew the power of an f-bomb: power to goad, enhance, and destroy reputations. He'd expected Wright to abuse his gaffe, but to go this nuts? Egilson smiled a little as he responded.

"I'm of the mind that the United States can do whatever it wants with regards to foreign policy. She's separated by all the other power players by two oceans with all the resources she could possibly use. Acting as the world's protector has been a waste of resources on our part, but I still believe we have a part to play. If we invest in younger economies, feeding the poor, sharing new technologies, we'll have the gratitude of millions if not billions. We can use that to boost our own economy, and soon we'll have both jobs and allies. If we couple that with the next few steps towards new research and technology, I can't see Russia or China overcoming an economy that strong anytime soon. That said, we want for nothing within our borders, and if the American people want to live apart from the rest of the world, I'm all for it."

“I believe with foreign policy the United States cannot do “whatever it wants” logically. I believe with foreign policy we need to try to make better relations with foreign businesses in order to encourage investment opportunities in America. I believe investing in younger countries will end up losing America a bunch of money and that those countries could turn into the next China, taking our jobs and destroying the American blue collar workforce. I believe that if we try to make better relations with foreign businesses, we can insure America’s safety for the future on. Thank you.

Cooper let the candidates speak, then looked down at his notecards. "Our last question for the night strikes at the heart of what many voters fear. After twelve years of left-wing rule, how will you lead the GOP to victory, and what qualifies you over your opponent to defeat Theo Guess in the general election?"

Cooper let the candidates speak, then looked down at his notecards. "Our last question for the night strikes at the heart of what many voters fear. After twelve years of left-wing rule, how will you lead the GOP to victory, and what qualifies you over your opponent to defeat Theo Guess in the general election?"

Egilson breathed in and began to speak. "I will say this. I have made it this far without mudslinging or promising the moon. I've reached out to people of all political backgrounds across all corners of this great nation. And I know Guess. I was one of his most vocal opponents throughout most of his career in California. If the party gives me her nomination, I will carry on speaking the truth and standing up for the political outcast. I will play it smart, and I will run with honor. Knowing my opponent, that alone should be more than enough to earn the American people's trust."

Closing statement:
"I am a man who speaks for sound values. The United States is a great nation already, but I know that she can do so much better. If we stand together, work hard to repair our country's intellectual, philosophical, and moral standards, we will see our greatest age yet. I thank you in advance for your consideration, and God bless America."

Cooper let the candidates speak, then looked down at his notecards. "Our last question for the night strikes at the heart of what many voters fear. After twelve years of left-wing rule, how will you lead the GOP to victory, and what qualifies you over your opponent to defeat Theo Guess in the general election?"

“I believe what can make me win is my ability to help unite people. I believe in the past we have failed to reach out to minority voters, which I believe will end up killing this party. As your party’s nominee, I will bring more minority voters out than any previous republican candidates. I believe I can speak to the former blue collar workers that were let off and will continue to be let off due to policies Egilson and Guess have started. I will be a candidate of unity and will clearly be the candidate to beat Guess. Thank you.”

Closing Statement: “People, our country is at a major decision point in history. This election will determine if we will continue to prosper and be a major power, or fall apart due to economic instability. Egilson and Guess have policies that will doom America and its future. We need to decide if we want to throw down the white flag, or keep on fighting for the rest of time. Thank you.”
After the debate, Wright will go down and greet members of the audience.

Wright was sitting down, still in disbelief that he has lost in those primaries. “Egilson barely even campaigned at all. I put so much time into California only to get a lousy 42%. Unbelievable.” He complained to a staff member

He was pacing right before the speech “If I screw this up, Egilson will be the nominee, and I’ll go on to lose re-Election in 2 years.”

“Boss, don’t worry about it. Egilson is going to lose the election. And Guess will be President. If you can manage to come back then, people will be upset that Egilson failed to deliver. You will easily be nominated in 4 years.”

“But I don’t wanna be nominated then. I wanna be nominated now!” Wright said, getting ready to pull his hair off. But then Dykstra came in, telling him something.

“Wright, we have the possible VP Nominees. We have fifteen of them. We will release them later tonight.”

“Do they meet the standards?”

“Yes. I also threw in a couple of fake ones to throw the press off our trails.”

“Great.” Wright said, quickly scrapping through the page. “Nice ones.”

“I know. You should probably get on soon Mr. Senator.”

“Thank you, Mr. Dykstra.”

Wright walked towards the stage. Governor Gary Daniels of North Dakota was giving the ending of his speech. “Wright is one of the most loyal people to the GOP. He has supported Governors like me in there elections by donating and even gave a speech at one of his rallies. Egilson has given you nothing and will continue to give you nothing even after he is elected!”

The crowd roared in applause a voice from the speakers introducing Wright onto the stage. Governor Daniels gave Wright a big bear hug as he walked off. Wright then walked onstage, preparing to give his speech.

“Good evening, people of the fantastic state of North Dakota. We have been through one of the most brutal primaries in modern American history. A lot of people still have no idea who the republicans will nominate. It is clear that the person who is nominated needs to be able to survive the battle that was this primary and still have the strength to win the General Election. And let me tell you this, Egilson does not have the strengths to defeat Guess!”
(Roaring Applause.)
“Now you may be wondering why the hell this guy is winning. Well, let me tell you why. He is winning because of poor misinformed Republican voters who believe that Egilson represents them. The only world where that would be actually plausible is a world where you could say the same with Guinea Pigs and Elephants. If Egilson is nominated, than the elephant that is the Republican Party will fall face first. If I am nominated. The elephant will continue to do tricks for people at the circus!”

There was roaring applause for Wright. He had the ability to win for these people. He of course, as usual, went down to the audience. As he went down, he shook hands with multiple people and one told him “you care about me more than Egilson or Guess ever will” to which Wright replied “I wish I could say that’s not true, but it’s disturbingly correct.”

Shortly after his rally, an update was posted to Wright’s website.

“Hello there Wright supporters. As we inch closer and closer towards the convention, we would just like to keep you updated on the people we believe should be in the position of VP. This is not a shortlist. We just want to keep you updated on the people that we are considering. We will be leaving the decision up to comment by people. If you want to have your opinion stated, we will be holding an online poll linked below. This poll will be brought into consideration during our selection. With that said, here are the options in no particular order:

Wright was sitting in a small dressing room getting his hair done. Suddenly, Dykstra came in and spoke to him.

“I don’t wanna put stress on you, but if you screw any of this up, your basically done.”

“I know.” Wright quickly responded

“You can do this, Egilson isn’t even trying to reach out to these people, if you can manage to reach out to them better then Egilson does, you have the nomination.”

“I don’t have any doubts that I will lose these guys.” Said Wright, finishing his haircut

“That’s what I wanna hear.” Said Dykstra, eagerly waiting for Wright to get out there.

The room was quite packed, about 85 delegates along with there spouses were there. The room was a spacey ballroom that had a bar in the corner along with a buffet and tables where they could sit down if they were tired. The room was also fille with other people who were talking to the delegates.

Wright had walked out of the back room and on to the floor where the delegates were. Before he gave his speech, Wright had made some small talk with a couple of the delegates. Asking them about there family, lives, sports, and even cracking a couple of jokes while he was at it.

After talking with about a dozen delegates, Wright then went up to the stage to give his speech, a series of delegates clapping after he went on stage. A moment of silence followed after Wright stepped up to the podium and began speaking.

“Good Evening, My fellow republicans. In a couple of days, OUR convention will be held and we will need to choose a person in order to lead this party. It is currently unknown who that man will be. While some people are already calling it for Egilson, it is not over yet. People believe that Egilson will represent them. However, that is not true. Egilson, along with many other libertarians, are invading this party guns ablazing and are becoming the establishment. Well let me tell you this, Mr. Egilson, this party is not you and this party will never be you in a billion years!”

Applause began from his supporters in the audience, eventually the delegates join in on the applause. The delegates Applause was mixed. Some were clapping, others weren’t, it was a huge split in the applause. Wright then continued.

“These primaries, as everyone knows, has been one of the most competitive primary seasons of modern history. We need someone who can survive the absolute chaos of this primary season and still have enough steam in order to take back the White House from liberal rule. People in this county are sick and tired of leftists and we need someone who can energize those people to go out and vote. And let me tell you this, Egilson is exactly what people are sick and tired of in the Republican Party!”

More applause occured, a majority of the delegates clapped as Wright went off stage to Dykstra.

“You got ‘em boss.”

“I didn’t get them, I got some of them, were gonna need to try and get more delegates if we are gonna win this!”

“I agree sir.”

The rest of the event went by uneventfully. Wright communicated with more delegates and got a cocktail with his wife while he was at it. The event was eventually over as the delegates drove away. This is it Wright thought. We got this.

Gareth B. Wright Meeting with delegates
Wright was at a much different delegate meeting then last time. Instead of a giant fancy ceremony like the last time, it was an auditorium with the other 66 delegates, most of whom he felt solid with.

He walked into the auditorium with the delegates, there was quite a bit of applause when he walked in. Some delegates standing up. Wright began talking to some of the more swingy delegates there, he people that could possibly go to Egilson if Egilson tried hard enough.

Wright then stood up and spoke. “Hello there everybody. In a couple of days, the Republican Convention will take place and we need to choose a person who can lead the Republican Party onto the battleground. The person who will lead this party is in your hands. I want to know your concerns and want your number one issues are. You are free to ask any questions you want of me.”

A female delegate walks up. “Senator Wright, it is a well known fact that there are current problems in the country involving women’s rights, what will you do to help increase rights for women?”

Wright responded. “I definitely want to strictly enforce affirmative action laws across the United States for women and minorities. I also want to diversify my cabinet as president of the United States and I want to make sure that our nation remains a place where a woman has the same chance then a man to become the CEO of a company. Thank you.”

An older man walked up to the stage. “Senator Wright, it has been clear that you have not been the most conservative candidate out of you and Egilson. That being said, why should I vote for you when there is a person who better represents the views of the Republican Party that have been around for the whole 21st Century.”

Senator Wright Responded “I believe that as the years and years go on, the country is becoming more liberal due to an increase of minorities in the United States. I believe that if the Republican Party is going to survive, we need to reform our social policies to become slightly more moderate. If we don’t do this, I fear that the Republican Party might die off due to failing outreach to minorities. Thank you.

A young man walks up, probably 33 years old. “Mr. Wright, you have only been a Senator for 4 years. How does the little experience you have make you more prepared for the presidency then a former senator and governor or a former mayor and representative?”

Wright responds “Well, I believe I have experience outside of politics that has helped me become a powerful candidate for president and eventually president. My business experience has given me an understanding of the economy better than he other candidates. Sure, you can say that I have little experience. But these people who have been in politics forever have been an example of the partisan political system that has infected Washington for so long.”

The last person walked up, a Woman in a wheelchair. “Senator, it is quite clear hat Egilson is the favorite to win by party republicans. If you end up winning the unpledged delegates, how will you win over Egilson supporters.”

“Well, I am currently considering giving Egilson a job as Vice President, and if I don’t give him the role, I will probably offer another government position to him like Secretary of State. I will also be working hard with Egilson to come to a deal that will satisfy both of us. Thank you.”

A majority of the delegates seemed satisfied, there were a couple who seemed unsatisfied, but a majority seemed extremely impressed. Clapping at a lot of Wright’s answers. Wright began to talk to more of the swingy delegates, this time more of the delegates seemed to be happy with Wright. One saying “I’ve seen a lot of underdogs but this time, I think you will actually stick.

Two nights before the RNC

"Hello, everyone. You know, you'd think I would be dead from all the tension from the Republican nomination battle... I've been doing my best to keep calm, and I feel kinda... just... numb, right now. No, Freemason97, I don't do drugs. Still, tomorrow's a big meet-and-greet. Usually I'm not the guy who would get stressed like this, but still. Before I continue, I'd love to thank everyone for their support. I was never going to do this unless I could go a long way, but this is unbelievable. It's tough, realizing that there are now tens of millions of people behind you. Mind boggling. If Guess wins, I plan on running again in four years... No, I don't think I'd say the same for Wright. Like I said before, Wright is an okay choice. A safe route. The nation won't catch on fire while he's president. Still, I think I'm the better choice, and a healthier option for the Republican Party. I might run after him, though. God willing..."


One night before the RNC

An open meeting with RNC officials and Republican representatives is held at a nearby large hotel. An assortment of wines on the side highlight the event. The speech time was moved to even later that night so as not to conflict with Wright's assembly. As a result, a number of people were tired, but more people showed up than would have otherwise.

"Hello, everyone. First off, I'd like to thank you for coming. You've been so generous in taking me and my campaign under the Party's wing, and I thank you for doing that. I know that you've had your doubts about me at first, but I hope I've put those concerns to rest. I am a conservative. I believe in family, and I believe in a strong America.

"Now, I'd like to invite you back to a time when the Republican Party was a bastion. When men of character stepped up to the plate, not merely because it was an opportunity. I'm talking about the unsung heroes: Silent Cal, George H.W. Bush. These men faced calamities that could only be described as mythical. Yet, even in these troubled times, they emerged triumphant and overthrew the existing culture for something better. I want that in our party. I want that in every party, but I believe the Republican Party has the most potential for this. We have millions of citizens across the Midwest, across America, who are desperate for politicians who take a stand. I've stood alone and I've stood with my red-blooded friends. I hope you all see me as a man of character. A man who will not cede any of his beliefs, a man who will fight for Republican conservatism, instead of merely being a mouthpiece. I have no ill will against Wright, but I don't want four-to-eight years of the same. I want a change in America, a change for the better. Have a nice night, and I look forward to talking with everyone."

After the speech, Egilson went into the crowd to talk with delegates. He wasn't as familiar with the power players as his opponent, but he did his research. He talked about the local issues between states, and the topics at the forefront of each delegate's mind as they came up. One of the delegates asked him whom he was considering for vice president. Egilson stomped his foot, thanked the man, and ran back on to the podium. "It has come to my attention that a number of you would be interested in hearing my picks for Vice President. I apologize; our team has been working on a number of candidates, and I'll spitball a few of them tonight. First, we have Diana Sutkowski. She's the daughter of Polish immigrants, and she's one of the strongest Republicans in Illinois, perhaps even in the States. Her time as governor helped revolutionize the way the Midwest does business, and I think she'd be a good candidate. Next up, we have Tristan Gunther, the senator from Texas. Most of you know him; if you don't, you probably will soon. Wellstone is a strong possibility; his work is legendary. Honestly, we've been thinking about inviting Wright, if he'd accept. Again, I have no ill will towards the guy, and I think he'd be a good help, if not a revolutionary leader."

"Hey, Wright said that he might consider you as Vice President! Would you accept if he does?"

"Oh, most certainly. The Vice President is more a role of influence if anything, and I'd love to shake a few hands and help Wright push the bills that need the most pushing. Besides, the Vice President is a much nicer gig than representative!"

There were chuckles around the room, and the night carried on very much the same until one in the morning.

If I leave the office of President under any reason, whether it be my own death, resignation, or impeachment, the American people still deserve to have a progressive and populist President who will take charge and renew the country. For this reason, I have forsaken the traditional objective in selecting a Vice President, votes. If I leave the office, I will not have another John Tyler, Millard Fillmore, or Andrew Johnson succeed me. Instead, I have focused on finding a VP that will campaign for the same policies that I will and will strongly lead the nation in a sure to be a harsh time, if need be. Chairwoman of the Joint Cheifs of Staff Alexandra English from Virginia
General English is a rarity in the military, she knows that Soft Power is stronger than Hard Power, and as such she sees that the Military should only be used as a last resort and as a defense. Growing up in a military family that was extremely poor, yet herself incredibly smart, she aimed to get into one of the service academies. She was accepted into Army and Navy, choosing Army. After graduating from West Point, she has served in the Army her whole life, eventually becoming a 4-star General. In 2049 she was selected to become the First Chairwoman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Governor Isra Osbourne of Louisana
As a graduate of Georgia Tech for her Bachelors in 2003 and Caltech for her Masters in 2005, she worked for FEMA for several years. Helping to rebuild after serval hurricanes, namely Katerina, Sandy, Harvey, Irma, and Maria. However, in 2018, she quit in protest due to the poor response in Puerto Rico. She founded the Osbourne Hurricane Relief Humanitarian Organization. In 2025 she became the Director of FEMA under President Graham, later serving as her Secretary of Energy starting in 2029. After the Graham Administration, she headed to MIT to get her Ph.D., graduating in 2040. After teaching for 4 years she ran for Senate in Lousiana. Winning she would never serve her full term, running for Governor in 2047. She is serving her second term as Governor, which started in 2052.

Governor Kevin Santos of Texas
Governor Santos has only served as Governor for a few months now, he had served as Lt. Governor of Texas from 2037 to 2052. A role that shows us all the original role of the Vice President, to head the Senate. As President I would want my Vice President to head the Senate in a way similar to what Santos has shown us all, to help me pass my agenda, as well as the normal duties that the Vice Presidency has gained over the years.

Senator Kryil Cohen from New York
A son of a Knesset member and his American Fiancee, Kryil grew up in Israel, with summer trips to the US to visit family among other things. After serving in the IDF he enrolled in Columbia, with plans to originally return to Israel. However, while a undergrad student he would meet his future wife, a then Law Student. After getting his Bachelors at 27, he stayed in New York City and started a family. However, in the late 2030's he became dissatisfied with US-Israeli Relations and became a Critic of Israel and an Activist for BDS. At the age of 35 he ran for Senate in 2040, defeating Chuck Schumer, who still held the seat at the time. He's been a Senator ever since.

Senator Abdul El-Bacchus from Michigan
A child of Palestinian Immigrants, El-Bacchus grew up in Dearborn, Michigan. Going to MSU for undergrad and UMich for grad, he found work as a lobbyist for single-payer health care. However, after a decade of little to no progress and with Graham leaving the Presidency, he ran for Congress, serving as the Representative from the 12th District. He served for several terms before becoming the Secretary of Health and Human Services halfway thru O'Connor's term, as a ploy for O'Connor to gain popularity. Fischer kept El-Bacchus in his cabinet, but two years in El-Bacchus resigned. Later, in 2048, re-ran and became a Senator from Michigan.

Supreme Court Justice Robert Flint from North Carolina
After graduating from UNC Law in 2016, Flint stayed in North Carolina to work as a Lawyer for the ACLU. He gained some national attention when in 2023 he was the head lawyer on a Supreme Court Case. After some additional work, he was named Attorney General in 2029. In 2031, Flint was appointed to the Supreme Court to replace a retiring justice by President Graham. Since then he was a consistent record on voting in a progressive manner.

Vice President Isabella Cahill from Texas
The Vice President for the last four years has shown herself to be a Progressive Populist since her days as a Mayor to her current days as the Vice President. After Graduating from Rice University, Cahill decided to stay in Houston for a few years until her and her Fiancee's house was destroyed in by Hurricane Harvey. Moving to San Antonio, she became involved in local politics and became Mayor of San Antiono in 2019, after three terms she ran for Congress, become the Representative from the 20th District in 2025. She would serve in this role until 2042, when she defeated incumbent Senator Thurman. In 2048 she briefly ran for President, until Fischer won New Hampshire. After that, she agreed to be his running mate, of which they announced right after Super Tuesday. The Fischer-Cahill ticket would go on to win in the Electoral College in 2048. However, it turned out the two don't get along very well due to the vast policy differences, Fischer has tried his hardest to push out his VP and the VP has become an outspoken critic of her President.

Final Meeting with Delegates on the morning before the convention
Wright had one final chance to impress the delegates at the convention. And he knew what he had to do. He wanted to make a promise that he didn’t wanna make from the beginning.

He walked out into the room of delegates. The campaign was serving the delegates breakfast. Wrigh had invited around 105 delegates there, most of them still undecided on the vote. He knew what he had to say to swing them there way.

“Good morning, my fellow republicans. Today, you will be making the most important decision of the future of this party. Wright walked off of the podium. The delegates seemed pleased with the short speech, they seemed a lot more comfortable with Wright than the other meetings before. Wright felt satisfied. While I wish it was me that was nominated, I believed that this choice has overall benefited the party. I will happily endorse Congressman Egilson for President of the United States. Now I know what you might be thinking. Senator, would you like to be considered for the job of Vice President. I would prefer it, but I believe it is Egilson’s choice on who he believes needs that job. Now you might be wondering, Gareth, what is next for you? Well, tomorrow I will stay at the convention for he next day, and after that, go home and see my kids. I would like to again incourage my supporters to vote Egilson in the general election. I believe in predestination, where God himself will stop us when we go too far. I say to you now that we have not gone far enough!

"That said, I must state this: we are a divided party at the moment. This is the closest primary in American, let alone party, history. We have emerging ideas and philosophies throughout the nation, and I'm sure there are still people yet to be convinced that I'm on their side. We need unity. "Well, everyone. We've done it. I'm grateful, so grateful, but everything feels... surreal. I'm sure you all have had the feeling before. Oddly enough, the closest thing I can compare this feeling to is when I've crashed my car back when I was a teenager. Was this happening? Was I in a dream? Yeah, stuff like that...

"I would like to thank my lead staff, who just so happens to be my family. They've sacrificed more than I have, and they've done far more than I could possibly have expected of them. Abby, Eric, Faith, Richard, and Irene. Each of them was useful in their own way, and I am so appreciative.

"And then I think about Guess. [sigh] Guess swept through the South and took most of the swing states in a landslide. I've wanted to breathe fresh new life into the Republican Party, but all will be for naught if I lose this race ahead of me. "And now" spoke out the PA system to the arena full of people, "California Premier, Theodore Courtney Guess." Theo walked up to the stage while the crowd cheered. Meeting Eric, who'd delivered the speech introducing Theo, at the podium. The two shared a brief kiss and embrace before Theo moved up to the podium, with Eric standing behind them.

Theo waited for the appulse to died down before starting, "When I first started my run for President, I didn't think I would get this far. If anything, the goal of my campaign was to bring up issues that our nation needs to address. It was my goal that if I just brought attention to these things, then maybe the next Democratic Nominee would support these issues, single-payer healthcare, free public college, renationalized social security, green energy, protecting our planet, and all the other issues so dear to us.

Well, it looks like I reached my goal, in fact, it looks like I reached it and then broke it's back. Instead of someone who would just support these issues, we now have someone who has fought for these issues for all of this political life. As a Representative, as a Senator, as a Governor, and finally as a Premier. We have somebody who will continue to fight for not only these issues but the issues that will turn this country around!

I promise, as your next President of the United States of America, that I will fight for not only our nation, but for the ability that its people should not only survive, but thrive. I wouldn't fight for the top of our society like nearly every President has, I will fight for the people that actually matter, the people who make up this country, the average citizens!

After a 12 year rule of Conservative Democrats, the people have shown us that they say no more. They're just as tired of the Republicans that are even further to the right of them! They are done living in an era of Conservatism, were the government refuses to live in the present. The governments that have not brought us into the future are dead!

They say it's time for a change, it's time for their government to be held accountable to them! They will not tolerate a President who does not serve them! We will bring our nation back into glory, the same glory we saw under the Graham, Johnson, Kennedy, and the Roosevelts Administrations!

Theo had to pause for the appulse, while the thunderous roar of the crowd echoed out of the arena, Theo repeatedly mouthed Thank You over and over again. He waited for the crowd to die down a bit before continuing.

"Now, on to the issue of my choice of Vice President. You see, there is a problem with how we choose our Vice Presidents.

When it comes down to it, I have the ultimate and final authority when it comes to who I want to run with me. I don't know about you, but that doesn't sound very Democratic to me, if I had the choice I would make it some people would have to run for the VP nomination just like they have to do for the Presidental nomination, with primaries. But, as the various leaders of the DNC have shown me, that isn't practical that close to the convention. So, I'm going to do the next best thing, 4,198 voters are more of a democracy than 1 voter."

The crowd went fucking wild. This time, instead of waiting for them to stop, Theo yelled over them with the microphone, "And we will win!"

He was backstage and was listening to the end of former Governor of Louisiana Lindsey Underwood’s Speech.

“Egilsonand Wright are honorable men that will fight the years of left wing rule that have left this whole country in ashes. Premier Guess and all the other liberals in Washington are all talk and no action. Egilson and Wright are the only candidates willing to step up to first base and swing right at the ball!”

The crowd was roaring in applause. As Underwood made the announcement “And now, your next Vice President of the United States, Gareth Bartholomew Wright!”

Wright walked onstage. He was looking out into the audience. They were pumped up and were ready to here the future Vice President speak.

“Good Evening, my fellow Americans. I’d like to thank Governor Underwood for the amazing introduction. She is an amazing Governor and politician that has served Louisiana well. People of America, as you may of heard from Governor Underwood’s speech, we have been under left wing rule for 12 years. And we have gained zero out of it. The people of America are being harmed by these people. And people are still considering Premier Guess, a Dick Fischer times 100 who is abandoning the blue collar worker along with the rest of the Democratic Party!”

Applause roared so loud that it seemed like an earthquake had started that put Louisiana in shambles.

“Thank you everybody. Clearly the democrats have no idea what to do about this economic situation that the left wing have gotten us into. The only way our economy will be safe is if we defend the blue collar workers, investing in younger economies and gaining billions from that, creating business allies that will build factories in America. If we do this, America will flourish and will continue to be the number one nation of all time!”

The crowd went wild, it was louder than a baseball game when someone made a home run. Louisiana could be Egilsons. Louisiana could be a decider, whoever could win Louisiana, along with a couple of other states, would win the presidency and the Vice Presidency. And as long as we kept campaigning, we had it in the bag.

"Yesterday, the Democratic Nominee for President, Theodore Guess, allowed for an open election for the VIce Presidental Nomination. "Governor Zaragoza has been eliminated, she has endorsed Mayor Rice, citing their shared goal of Statehood. Governor Santos has removed himself, citing his likelihood of being the next eliminated, he endorsed Vice President Cahill and denounced his former Governor, "Governor Brae is a good man, not a great man. If it wasn't for his charisma and ambition, he never would have been elected in the first place. That is not the kind of person I want being a heartbeat away from the Presidency." Mayor Little has also removed himself, endorsing both Governor Randolph and Senator Cohen, while urging fellow Mayor, Gardner, to remove himself as well.

Before going into the vote there was a deep debate on whether or not someone who has only been a Mayor could help gain votes, as the urban land was already Democratic land, and if they could make a good President, need be. This also launches some light debate in whether a Justice or a former unpopular President could make a good President.

"Associate Justice Flint is eliminated, he didn't endorse anyone but, he did say he was flatter to just being nominated, although he probably wouldn't have accepted the job either way. Mayor Rice has also removed herself, endorsing Governor Randolph and urging Gardner to quit."

Online, a storm has emerged in response to Santos, originally people became angry at Santos, then Brae repeatedly attacked Santos with very bad attacks, which has now lead to people wanting Brae removed from the next ballot.

Behind the scene, Guess and Mohamed are in an office, discussing the vote.

"The Faulkner wing of the party now has more votes than he got in the primary. If they keep this up soon they'll have enough votes to get the nomination." Said Mohamed.

"We need to act now before it's too late. You think the traitor speech would work?" Asked Guess.

"To get Faulkner out, ya. Moore, Navarro, and O'Connor, no. We can go offer Navarro a cabinet position right now, he probably will say yes. O'Connor will probably be eliminated in a few ballots, If not the next one. Moore on the other hand, if we can't figure out a way to deal with him, there's a chance that he'll win."

"Didn't he run for Senate a few years back, as a Republican or something?"

"Ya, he was slated to win but he quit a few days before the election, guaranteeing the Democrat the seat." Mohamed paused for a second, they made I contact for a few seconds, "I'll go find that Senator." Said Mohamed before running out the door.

Back on the stage, Chairwoman Smith was making some announcements before starting up roll call for the fourth ballot, "Former Governor Navarro has removed himself from the ballot, citing his political death happening nearly egos ago, and has endorsed Chairwoman English. I have also received word from the nominee. He wishes for Former Governor Brae to be removed from the ballot. Does anyone second?"

Several delegates stood up, "It will now go to a floor vote."

Theo pauses for a second, "It would be better to kill two birds with one stone" he thought before running up to the podium. Grabbing the microphone before Karen could speak into it.

"Delegates, we have traitors among us running for Vice President. Richard Faulkner, Elijah Moore, and Ryan Moore. Let me ask you, have any of you seen Richard Faulkner in the last few days? No, you haven't. Because he isn't in attendance. Instead, he attended the Republican National Convention to support Wright. He can't stand that the people don't like him anymore so much, that he has seemingly changed his party. I wouldn't put it past him. So, I ask you how can a Guess-Faulkner ticket win? How could a Democrat and a Republican win the White House together? Look. I know you like him or his politics, but the simple truth is that he doesn't like you. Therefore, I move that Richard Faulkner should be removed from the ballot.

A young woman, no older than 35 walked up to the stage. She was absolutely stunning. Grabbing the microphone from Guess she paused a moment and began to tell everyone the truth, "I used to live in Boston, but now I live in Austin. I was raised in Boston and I worked there for most of my life until I was forced to quit my job as personal secretary to Elijah Moore." Pausing wipe a tear from her eye, she continued, "One day, his brother Ryan was visiting his office. I could tell he found me attractive based on the way he looked at me, I thought he was attractive too. So, after he's done visiting he invites me to go out for drinks after work. I say yes.

After I got a little drunk, I had just ordered another drink and I needed to use the bathroom, so I went to the bathroom. When I got back I had my drink and started to feel a little sleepy. He said he could drive me home, I said no. But, I was already too weak. The last thing I remembered before passing out was the inside of his car." Pausing for a second time, the audience was dead silent, not yet ready for what they knew they were about to hear, "When I woke up, Elijah and Ryan Moore were raping me... The only reason I've been quiet for so long is that they've been paying for my silence, and telling me over and over that, they would kill me and everyone I loved if I ever went public.

But, I can't say silent any longer. I see that Elijah Moore keeps on getting more and more votes. I can't let someone so evil be so close to being the President." She then handed the microphone to Guess.

"Thank you, Ms. West, for having the courage to tell us all your story." Theo looked down at the floor for a second before raising his head back up and saying, "I moved that Elijah Moore should be eliminated from the ballot."

About halfway between the sixth and the seventh ballot, Theo was sitting in his office at the convention when a Secret Service member opened his room, "Vice President Cahill would like to talk to you."

"Let her in." Commanded Theo has he waived his arm. The Vice President walked into the room. She was a tall, older white woman, nearly white hair cut down to her shoulders, blue eyes. Speaking with her distinctive Texan draw, "Theo, I have Alzheimer's."

"What." The force of her words made Theo jump up.

"I was diagnosed a few days ago, right before the convention. I didn't tell you because I thought you liked someone else more for the role, what with you not telling me to write up an acceptance speech."

"I don't care about that right now." He said hugging his longtime friend, "Did they say if they have a plan yet."

"I'll probably be in and out of treatment for the rest of my life, they say at most I'll make it to my 90's. Which, seeing I didn't think I'd make it past 90 in the first place seems just fine to me."

Stepping away, Theo got back to politics, "So I'm assuming you don't want to be Vice President for the next four to eight years then."

"Nope, I'm still processing the diagnosis myself, but mainly spending my time with my family is gonna be the goal from here on out."

"So, then. Who do you think should have the job?" Theo asked.

"Well, they all have there ups and downs. English is military sure, but that's all she is. They tend to be a mixed bag, Presidents from the military I mean. Let alone that there has never been a Vice President who's career was Military Secretary of Defense or State though, she'd make a damn good one. Osbourne, swing state, minority, southern. Meanwhile shes old, she only a few years younger than me and you already have the minority vote. Plus, she's a compelling person, although there's a chance people could focus more on her than you, that's never good. Randolph, a younger, more experienced and nationally known Osbourne, without the swing state. She's certainly the best vote-getter on our side of the party. She seems to excite the voters online more than the rest of us... How come she wasn't on the shortlist?"

"She was going to be, in fact, she was my first choice, we've been friends since we were Senators together. Then she told me she didn't want to be Vice President. She didn't tell me why, I didn' ask why. That was just it. Then my top 3 became English, Osbourne, and you.

"So convince her that she should be the Vice President."

"How?"

"You just destroy the lives of two people for your own political gain. I think you can figure it out. I'll be off now, need to get my name off the ballot and all." Said the Vice President before leaving the room.

Right before the seventh ballot began, Chairwoman Smith announces, "Vice President Cahill has removed herself from the ballot due to personal reason she wishes to remain private at the moment. As such we now only have three remaining contestants, so rules 2 and 6 will no longer apply.

Whispers echo out throughout the convention. Could a career military woman really be a good Vice President, especially someone with English's credentials? Wouldn't she make a better Secretary of State or Defense? The two other people left are Governors, one of whom is a former Congresswoman.

On the other side of the convention hall, people start to ask questions about age. Both Osbourne is hit 70 a few months ago and English is in her late 70's. Despite both women's qualifications, their age shows that even if they do make it to two terms, they most likely will be too old to not have there age pushing into question. Meanwhile, Randolph is only a few years older than Guess.

Meanwhile online, Randolph seemed to be gaining most to the support from the former Cahill supports, as well as turning over a good chunk of English and Osbourne supporters.

"I know that I'm not the best choice for Vice President. I'm used to being in charge, and order, and having people follow my lead. That's the word of the military, not the world of politics. So, while I'm thankful for being on the waitlist and gathering so much support over these last few hours, and I will help the Guess campaign and his administration anyway I can, I can not accept any nomination. And as such, I am removing my name from the ballot."

Walking off the podium, Governor Osbourne walked up, "The simple truth is that I just can't focus on anything else besides my state, Louisana. My goal for this term is to switch oil mining to green energy as much as possible, as well as add up protection to our coast as the threat of hurricanes and floods increases day by day. I can't do that if I'm running for Vice President, let alone if become Vice President, the Luietant Governor is a Republican, so if I was to lose my Governorship, he would become Governor and stop the process I was working toward. As such, I am removing my name from the ballot.

Theo now walked up, "Governor Randolph may not have been on my shortlist. She has been my first choice for a while now. But, before I released my shortlist she told me she didn't want to be Vice President. She wanted to focus on stay in Georgia. She didn't think that she could work on a national level. Well, the people here at the convention, as well as the people out there, the people of our country. Both the party and the people think Governor Randolph will be the next Vice President. And you can add me to that! I want Governor Victoria Randolph of Georiga as my Vice President! So, I move that the ninth ballot shall be a ballot by acclamation!"

Chairwoman Smith ran up to the podium, "Do any of the delegates second this motion?" Nearly all the delegates stood up, "Ok, then. Who here votes for Victoria Randolph for the Democratic nominee for Vice President?"

TIM KELLY:  Good afternoon, folks. I'll be filling in for Moira today, as she is with the President on Air Force One. As are most of your chief correspondents, it looks like from here. So I'll just go over some announcements, and then we can take your questions. Okay?

The President vetoed the AI Human Partnership Bill yesterday, as you should have seen in the statement all of you got this morning. As an Administration devoted to protecting both the economy and the workforce, the President respectfully disagrees with House Republicans' assessment that quota requirements should relieve corporations of a certain size from fulfilling their healthcare obligations to their human employees. This is another case for the necessity of the line item veto that Congress refuses to provide the President.

On a different note, the President is traveling to California this week to meet with state and local leaders and to speak out against the proposed Amendment 9, which would prohibit aerospace planes from launching from the state. This would devastate the commercial space industry and hurt not just California, but all of the United States. The White House looks forward to continued investment in spaceflight, especially aerospace drone technology.

Lastly, I have some tough news, which has been distributed already. The Vice President has fallen ill, as you have been informed. She will personally be conducting a press conference this evening to discuss her condition, her family, and her steps moving forward. The White House keeps the Vice President and her family in our prayers.

With that, I'll take questions. Ann.

Q:    Hi, Tim.  First, I'm so sorry to hear about Vice President Cahill's illness and I hope she gets better soon. So, does the White House expect the veto to be overridden in the House? Or even the Senate, for that matter.

KELLY:  Well, the President made his objections clear before the Senate voted to accept the House amendments, and Minority Leader Koons in the House, as well as most of the Senate Democratic Caucus, is in agreement with the President on this one. So the White House does not expect any progress to be made on reconsidering this bill. Which is a shame, because if the President had the line item veto, there were some worthwhile provisions in this legislation that the President would have accepted and signed into law.

Q: Great. I was also wondering if you could comment on the Scotland-France situation right now.

KELLY:  The President recognizes, like, right — The President recognizes he's in a very influential position, here, and it's in cases like these when our allies are looking around for help. But the United States is not the world's police — that was our campaign promise four years ago, eight years ago, and we're sticking with that. That includes economics. The global economy, that's tough stuff, it's difficult to navigate. We're looking into it, but don't expect the President to be requesting sanctions on behalf of another sovereign state. That's just not how this White House does things, you know that Ann.

Q: I'll be quick. Did the President — did Senator Wright's spot on the Republican ticket influence the President's decision, last night, to veto the bill?

KELLY:  No it did not. The President made his decision — a heavily considered one — based on the contents of the bill, his conscience, and his obligations to the American people.

Ryan.

Q: The California case is headed to the Supreme Court. Will the Attorney General submit an amicus brief?

KELLY:  I'd refer you to the Attorney General's office on that one. I doubt it.

Q: The President has previously been opposed to the Californian parliamentary system. Why is the Administration silent now? If you don't mind me asking. (laughter)

KELLY:  I don't mind, and I do see what you're asking here. And I can tell you that the President sees his position as an executor of the law. The President was opposed to this system years ago, when it was on the ballot, when it was in the legislature, etcetera. The President doesn't see himself as a maker of the laws, or as the interpreter of the law. So now that it is in the courts, and I want you to check the record on this, because he has not said anything about this system since it's gone to federal courts, and the White House has not said anything about it since then either.

Q:    Again, so sorry to hear about the Vice President's condition. Uh, will the White House comment on the recent Cavendish memo?

KELLY:  Yes. First of all, we're so sorry to hear about the disappearance of Mrs. Cavendish. Second of all, the benefits to the tentative agreement are substantial — even enough to balance the backlash from violating the Global Environment Treaty in this one, isolated case. So put that on the record, that we as an Administration are for the benefits of a new Cavendish Corporation factory, out there in an economically underdeveloped area. Because that's important to the well-being of the American Economy. I don't even think our biggest adversaries in Congress would disagree with that assessment.

Last question, let'g go with Doug.

Q: I'm surprised no one has asked. Will the President make an endorsement in this race, the presidential one?

KELLY:  The President endorses Premier Guess. I didn't know we had to say that.

Q: Okay. Will he be campaigning for him?

KELLY:  Great question. I don't think any of us know the answer to that. The President has supported both Democrats and Republicans in various races around the country. And he will this year, too. I suspect — well, no, I won't speculate at all. Moira should have the answer to that when she's back.

Let me do the week ahead, and then we’ll let you guys get on with your work.
Today and tomorrow, the President will meet with Los Angeles community leaders and officials.
On Wednesday, the President will meet with California state legislators. He will not deliver remarks to the Parliament.
On Thursday the President will travel to Northern California to meet with business leaders from around the state in San Francisco. Mr. Musk will be among them, of course.
And on Friday, the President will have a Cabinet meeting here at the White House.

Wright was sitting on a couch backstage looking at the news. He looks through stuff about Fischer, A sex scandal, how a conspiracy theory is helping decide this election, nothing that eye catching to him.

He looks through the news when something really catches his eye. He sees Evan Cuomo of the Cuomo political family, talking about how Fischer had ruined his. His dad knew the Cuomo’s pretty well. Andrew being one of the only democrats he supported in his lifetime. Out of all the people who would’ve given up hope on their party, never in my life would I expect it to be Evan. Wright thought. From what he knew from personal experiences, Evan wouldn’t abandon ship until he was neck deep in water. this is pure gold.

He was noted that he was on in about 8. He quickly looked at a poll. Showing a possible landslide for the campaign. “Oh let the fun begin” he said out loud as he walked out of the room and on backstage to see the end of the speech.

The man speaking on stage was Anthony Warner, one of the people considered as Wright’s VP, Military hero, and current U.S. Senator.”And so I would like to ask you something. What have these 12 years of left wing rule brought to you? That’s right, nada. People like Guess and Randolph are too afraid to stand up for the people of this country. Meanwhile Egilsonand Wright are proving to you that they will charge right into battle and fight for your lives in that seat of the presidency!”

Cheers came from throughout the crowd. “And now, the next Vice President of the U.S of A Gareth B. Wright!”

The cheers continued, even louder and more excited than last time. Warner shook hands with Wright and took a seat behind him, showing his prosthetic leg while doing it.

“Good Evening, my fellow Americans. Today, the nation is in danger. The radical left has now become the establishment Democratic Party, steamrolling the idea of compromise for this party. Guess has been proven to not be able to compromise before, but after he selected Randolph as his candidate, he pulled the trigger on nonpartisanship for the party. But, there is still hope. Egilson and I are examples of how bipartisanship has worked amazingly. For example, if the veto by President Fischer is not overturned, I will be in Washington negotiating a better deal that will make democrats more comfortable. If we are elected, we will not refuse to listen to anyone!” Roaring Applause came from the audience, louder than a plane.

“As you can see, me and Egilson have made our message clear. Guess is bulldozing the building that is bipartisanship and is killing the Democratic Party along with it. It has even gotten to the point where Evan Cuomo has said Fischer has killed the party. And let me tell you this, Guess, we are not gonna take anymore of this left wing rule, we’re not gonna let bipartisanship be destroyed, were the any party turn to the radical right or radical, we’re not gonna take it anymore!!!”

The louder applause came from the audience, the song “We’re Not Gonna Take It” Plays over the loudspeakers. Wright was happy at the excited crowd but at the same time, he needed to get back to Washington. “Let’s get that bill negotiated.” Wright said to an advisor.
