The firing squad is the most common method. For particularly disgusting/heinous crimes though sometimes short-drop hanging is used.
No NS stats please.

In case of worldwide nuclear war, Reftele would as quickly as possible disarm its own nuclear arsenal to prevent them from getting into the wrong hands. Then we would hide underground as well as we can and hope we are spared from the destruction.

Firing squad is the standard method of execution used by the federal government and those states which retain capital punishment. The federal system retains electrocution as an alternative method, and some death-penalty states retain electrocution and/or lethal injection as alternative methods.

In the military justice system, enlisted Naval personnel sentenced to death may choose to be executed by hanging instead of by firing squad, although this method has not been employed in over a century. Theoretically, a sailor convicted of a capital crime while at sea may be marooned, but in modern times the legal circumstances permitting such trials essentially never occur.

In Jong Un criminals are used in military training as live targets they also may be tested on, put in labour camps and tourtured. No crime is to small to be punishable by death in Jong Un.
Patriotism is not an abstract concept. It begins from one's own home. It buds out from the love for one's parents, spouses and children, the love for one's own home, village and workplace, and further develops into the love for one's country and fellow people.

Human experimentation. We like to make use of criminals, they volunteered to be property of the state, when they broke the law.
Rapture City

  • In the underwater city, two roles have emerged from the City's ongoing civil war: the City Monitors who defend the peace and the Red Caps who fight against unjust systems. The city's infrastructure is crumbling under its own weight and kinship is snuffed by the paranoia of totalitarianism. Yet the people would be in for a surprise as their virtual overlord have died many years ago as the oppression continues under his name...
  • Not an 1-1 exact replica of Bioshock lore and Rapture City. Only the city's atmosphere and setting is maintained.

Focus on counterattack. The entire Air Force would be mobilized on 24-hour shifts, firing on incoming nuclear attacks until the enemy arsenal has bled dry. Detection of foreign aircraft is actually the forté of the States.

Methods of Execution Used in Philippinae

Postby Philippinae » Mon Jun 11, 2018 7:04 am

Philippinae deals with criminals seriously. For lesser crimes, offenders are often fined, whipped, reeducated or enslaved. For those who commit the most heinous of all crimes such as treason or running a chinese language school, the State may use different methods of inflicting death, which usually involves torture. For maximum deterrence, executions are carried out in full view of the public by licensed executioners who are trained both in theory and practice of torture and execution sciences. These professionals are akin to doctors. They have to undergo years of study and training and pass rigorous exams in order to practice, all for the purpose of ending the lives while prolonging the suffering of wretched fools who voluntarily decided to run afoul of our laws.

Listed below are approved methods for executing criminals.
    1. Hanging, drawing and quartering - the criminal is stripped naked and tied to a hurdle and dragged by motorcycles to the execution site, then hanged until near death, then castrated and emasculated, slowly eviscerated, with all his entrails being burned before him. Then the heart is ripped off and shown to the crowd, while it is still beating. The corpse is then decapitated and quartered.

    2. Castration and crucifixion - the criminal is first stripped naked and castrated. He is then bound to a cross using nails and ropes and allowed to slowly die in agony.

    3. Strychnine injection - a form of lethal injection where we inject a plant toxin called strychnine, which causes painful and violent muscle contraction, causing his body to contort in bizarre positions. The administration is controlled in such a way the criminal does not die quickly but rather gradually while the crowd is entertained by the suffering of the prisoner.

    4. Gamma irradiation - exposure to lethal doses of gamma radiation, which is followed by an agonizing death fom acute radiation poisoning.

    5. Snake pit - the naked prisoner is thrown to a snake pit, where a python, rattle snake or black mamba resides. The criminal is either crushed to death by the python or die in severe agony from the venoms of the two latter snakes.

    6. Scaphism - the criminal is encased in a box and forced to ingest sweetened water and milk in large quantities until he defecates, flies are then attracted and lay eggs to the body of the wretched scum. The eggs then hatch into maggots that will slowly devour the criminal. This method of execution can last anywhere from two weeks to a month.

    7. Torture by insects - the naked criminal is smeared with pheromones and thrown into a large glass box filled with bullet ants, black widow spiders, flying cockcroaches, and asian giant hornets.

    8. Bone-crushing and slow evisceration - limbs are smashed, breaking the bone followed evisceration.

    9. Slow dismemberment - limbs are slowly amputated with either a machete or an knife, ending in the beheading of the criminal.

    10. Brazen bull - the criminal is first stripped naked then forced inside the belly of a statue in the shape of a bull. The statue is equipped with an electrical heating equipment connected to an electrical generator or a large battery bank. The belly is heated to scorching temperatures, roasting the criminal inside. The heat output of this torture device can be controlled to prolong the suffering of the prisoner.

    11. Burning at the stake - the criminal is tied to a wooden or metal pole, then a pile of incendiary material is piled near it, then ignited. The scum then dies of either hyperthermia or carbon monoxide poisoning. Since this method is difficult to control and prisoner survival time and agony is unpredictable, it is only reserved for criminals who commited a not so serious crime or those who were granted leniency by courts.

    12. Low-voltage electrocution - same with electric chair but uses a low-voltage, high current electricity. The condemned does not die instantly of cardiac arrest but is slowly heated by the passing electricity. The inmate remains conscious for at least 15 minutes before bursting into flames.

    13. Drowning in liquid feces - the criminal is fully immersed in a pool containing liquid feces until dead.

    14. Crushing by an elephant - the criminal is slowly crushed to death by a trained elephant.

    15. Lions - the criminal is thrown in an arena. Hungry lions are then introduced who will maul and devour the convict.

    16. Gladiatorial combat - the criminal is given a chance of a more honorable death by a getting into a swordfight with a trained gladiator. Most likely the criminal will be defeated. In the event of a victory on the part of the condemned, another trained gladiator comes and fights the condemned. The cycle continues until the criminal is exhausted and is killed.

    17. Beheading - the criminal is decapitated by a sword. This is only reserved for cyberbullies and convicts who are at least 18 years old or above but younger than 21 years.

    17. Short-drop hanging - the condemned is hanged using a shorter drop (or no drop). Death results from slow asphyxiation. Reserved for convicts who are at least 18 years old or above but younger than 21 years or to those granted leniency.

Executioners in Philippinae are not limited with the above methods. Often, they come up with more brutal methods of dealing with the pests and parasites of society. Those can be a variation of the above methods or completely new ones. Those that are exceptionally sophisticated, brutal and entertaining are usually adopted as new methods of torture and execution. This makes torture and execution a science here, a science of eliminating scoundrels, correcting the damage done by the criminal, rehabilitating the victim and the State, deterring future criminals, and also a science of providing entertainment for law-abiding citizens.

Highest Civilian Honor in Your Nation?

Postby Pan-Asiatic States » Mon Jun 11, 2018 7:24 am

Like the name suggests.

The States actually just copycat the Soviet Union in its highest honour, the Order of Lenin. Hero of the Soviet Union is also extended to citizens of the States.

The Order of Lenin is awarded to:

  • Civilians for outstanding services rendered to the State,
  • Members of the armed forces for exemplary service,
  • Those who promoted friendship and cooperation between peoples and in strengthening peace
  • Those with meritorious services to the Soviet state and society

One of our wisest philosophers once said "Beware of any organization that rewards members with empty titles or trinkets.
These are the wool of the sheep."

In Sadakoyama there is no distinction between "civilian" and 'military", but in any case badges and ribbons and the like are awarded to Junior Scouts in primary school, by the time our people are adults they've learned to eschew such egotism, and a chest full of medals or other decoration is seen as posturing. Further, since we are a non-interventionist nation who has never yet engaged in open warfare with another nation, any such awards would be somewhat contrived.

That said, there are a number of prizes awarded every year, mostly for science and some even by the council. Probably the most significant of those would be "The Spirit of the Engraulis", Which is awarded by the council upon popular demand (and rarely individually) for contributions to science or culture that significantly improve the quality of life for Sadakoyama. There's a nice little gold-colored model of the eponymous ship, but most prefer the grant money. Past winners include the team that developed the first stable carniculture, the crew of Mockingbird 01 (our first people in space), and Jessica Friendly, host emeritus of our longest airing late-night talk show, upon her retirement.

The death penalty is officially forbidden in the Dominion, however we have limited control over the paramilitaries, who sometimes execute people by firing squad. The government is trying to prevent this though.

The most prestigious honour is the Lifesaving Medal, which is awarded by the Lifeguard Society to anybody who is instrumental in the saving of a life. Of course doctors, firefighters, etc. would have drawers full of them but recipients are usually nominated only for exceptional circumstances. Ironically, it is considered gauche to actually wear the medal, even on ceremonial occasions.

The Peacekeeping Medal is awarded to any member of the armed forces who has participated in peacekeeping operations. Because of the current structure of our peacekeeping forces, only members of the Foreign Legion are eligible.

The Medal of Honour and/or hero of the People are awarded by Parliament for exceptional service.

While fairies do exist within our universe, they do not reside within our borders due to mass extermination. For the undesired children themselves, we bear no grudge against them, and should we ever come across an actual changeling, we will simply put it to death as quickly as possible. Fairy children are simply too complex for us to utilize within our armed forces.

The Neo Wolverian prisons are much like normal prisons, with humane standard of living as the prisons are aimed at the citizen's rehabilitation.
For longer or life sentences, the prisons are tough depending on how dangerous a criminal is, as well as more strict of rules.

We have Changelings. Benevolent changelings that have assimilated to mainstream society are tolerated like anyone else, but Malevolent changelings are considered near pests. The Emperor is powerful and he does his best to protect all his subjects, he only dislikes the ones that are unruly and keeps the evil ones at bay through his taskforce in the Bureau for Anomalies, led by his favorite officer, "The Bureaucrat".

The threat of changelings is that they feed on one's emotions, especially love, leaving one a soulless husk of a being. The Auzkhian Empire leads an international effort to "convert" changelings. But even so, their innate powers of shapeshifting has been seen as chaotic trickery and deceit by some monastic orders.

Postby Dawetid » Mon Jun 11, 2018 9:46 pm

As the title says.

My leader names were based on names of people I know really well (including myself), and then modified to adapt the relevant culture by either translation or phonetic transcription.
There are some people that are there purely to oppose everything I say or do.
