Ed Johnson joined the Army upon graduating high school in North Texas. His family couldn't afford to send him to college, so the Army was his only real option. Upon completing his training, he was almost immediately sent into combat in Iraq. He was eventually promoted to sergeant. Than on his second tour of duty, he took three bullets to the leg while in a firefight with insurgents. The injury was serious enough for him to be given a medical discharge. He returned home, and worked at his dad's garage for a year, before drifting up to Gotham.
Upon moving to Gotham, he worked odd jobs for a while, and eventually got a job with the University as a security guard. By that point, he had realized Gotham was starting to have a higher crime rate because of Batman leaving. So he decided to do something about it. He had always been quick with a handgun, so he pulled on his old combat gear, found a gas mask/night vision goggle combo at a store, and strapped on his M1911. He wanted to fight for justice and clean up the streets, preferring to take criminals alive, but killing them if he needed to. He took on the moniker "Gunslinger" as a pseudonym.

Name/Alias: Isaac Elliott / Phlegethon
Age: 38
Gender: Male
Appearance:Isaac Elliot stands at 5’11”, mediocre in height and slight in body due to a rather sedentary lifestyle and unslowed metabolism due to his powers. His skin proves rather pale, his hair black and wild, one gray eye without that greater glint of life, glassy and unblinking, and the other completely gone. Essentially half the man’s head has turned skeletal, the flesh in transition being necrotic and blackened in nature. The man’s movements prove somewhat erratic, legs twitching at times, eye always moving, hands always playing with a length of string.
Personality:Constantly aware of those about him, Isaac is a man who has spent the vast majority of his life behind bars, in one form or another. As a direct result he is rather untrusting towards others, though still contains the basis for human decency. He cares greatly about those people who sacrifice much for a little bit of good, as evidenced by his treatment of those doctors and psychiatrists at Arkham Asylum, and is fully willing to kill those who have little regard for humanity, such as murderers and gang members in the general sense. Isaac possesses a sense of selflessness, considering he did sacrifice much of everything for the safety of the general populace.

Backstory:Born in the East End, 112 Franklin Street, Isaac’s early life was full of crime and criminals. There were no jobs, no opportunities to make money, and many a kid looked at the costs versus risks and asked themselves the question “How to make the most money”. Many saw crime, from selling drugs to murder, as the answer to their issues, taking it up with the gangs there and working for the bigger boys. They made their own families, of a sort, a brutal class that had few rules except the families, who ascribed to no morals except the ones they made. Isaac’s father was one such criminal, a higher-ranking boss who had connections to cocaine for the rich, roofies for the poor, prostitutes for the streets, and murders along the waterfront. The man had power in spades, of a sort, never really coming home for fear of leading footprints there. Isaac’s mother was a former prostitute, one whose pimp was at one time Isaac’s father, one who had really been elevated only by catching an eye that mattered, and one who hated her husband for what he was and what he did. Isaac was conceived out of wedlock, a party without restraint, and yet despite all the hate, all the evil, his father decided to take a little thing upon himself, marrying.

And so, Isaac was born into a life where muscle mattered, where goons of his father’s watched the house, watched him at school from afar, watched him play and watched him sleep. To call him safe, at the time, would be aa most definite understatement. His mother hated it, hated it all, hated that it was necessary and hated that it was done. She really felt that all she could was watch from afar, though over time that facade and that strength deteriorated. What would happen when Isaac got older, she asked herself, what would happen when he was eleven, twelve, fifteen? Would her husband want a son in his gang, a son to be a lieutenant, a son to be an underling? Would he want to bring him into the fold? The thought of him being out there, out there among the fiends and criminals, that brought a fear she had not really felt. When Isaac was nine, his mother called the police, giving that location and giving that lead.
She didn’t last the year. The police ruled it as a traffic accident, a truck T-boning her little car on the highway at 90 MPH, the tin can crumpling and the mother dying on impact. The police ruled it as a traffic accident, and Isaac was sent to his father, sent there and taken to a safehouse. His mother turned into a maid, worn and tired and cowed to fear, and his father turned to brutes and goons that were always changing in that revolving door of life. A new face every day, that was how that went. Isaac went to school, went to bed, ate and slept and lived in only the most technical of senses. He became suspect, no friends at school and no friends on the streets. People about him, from teachers to kid, became bribed and chained to his father.
At age eleven, after two years of ash and paper-thin lives, a power began to awake in Isaac. His ‘mother’ began to, over the course of those two years, grow gaunt and aged, back strained against the earth and feet turning unsteady on hardwood floors. His ‘father’ turned aged as well, lines on his faces turning into furrows so deep one could plant there, arms turning weak and eyes turning squinting. A month later, the maid died of heart failure. The goons got Alzheimer’s from their close contact. Then a teacher died, at his school from a heart attack. Isaac had been in the classroom at the time. It might have been normal, though amazingly grim, had he not been twenty-two. Classmates turned incapable at PT, strong boys becoming like victims of famine, thin ones becoming walking skeletons, and Isaac ran away. He knew what was happening, and he ran away. He ran home, ran to an abandoned house that held memories, and there his father came. The man’s presence was like a giant, a titan of myth, and he seemed to very large. Childish hatred, unrestrained by thoughts and complexities of the older, was released by Isaac, the young boy running at his father, trying to punch the bulk of him, trying to do something, anything, anything at all to give a measure of vengeance to his mother, to his own life. The father laughed, laughed and laughed, said it was cute that his son had spirit, that his son had vim. And then the laugh died-down, the father’s eyes sinking into his skull within minutes, a hand grasping for a heart beneath flesh. The father stammered, falling into a lean against the wall with a heavy step, and his other hand grasped ahold of his son’s collar. Even as his hand turned just as gaunt, varicose veins bulging and arthritis setting-in, the father asked if he’d been poisoned, what had the son done, what had he done. He died in confusion, eyes bulging as the heart fell-away, and the corpse clattered against the ground. Some measure of vengeance was granted then.
Isaac ran away again, knowing that there was no place for him in normal society, knowing that there was no home that could be, no apartment that could give normality, and knowing that no friendship could last as it was. He ran away, turning himself into Gotham Police, and wild claims of lunacy and insanity granted the young adult an apartment. It was a single room, no walls, one door, one toilet, no table. He was in a cell, surrounded by so, so many bodies, surrounded and exuding a force upon those who were deserving. The young man was an anomaly for Arkham Asylum, always calm, always collected, and as such he was given more attention than whatever could be considered ‘rank and file’. The murders he said he had committed were various, each not at all matching others and each being brutal, and the sense he gave was that of a normal person. His interviews, however, were bloody, violent things of screaming and yelling, of restraints by guards and manufactured rage. Isaac wanted them to go away, go away and be away, go away and keep there, and the doctors came, came and came, different ones and weird ones and always calm, calm, calm. They came, and Isaac changed.
His face drew death, death and dead things, skin rotting-away without pain and muscles giving dominance over to bone, clean and unsullied. His eye fell-away, fell out during an interview, and hair turned to ash when the young man slept. Doctors came and came, yet could never find the issue. All the hate, all the anger, all the death and dead things and influences, all that became bottled-up in Isaac’s head. All of it was bottled-up there, a side-effect of his interviews, of his wishes to not kill the psychiatrists and doctors and guards, of people doing jobs they did, and all of it made it’s home in the man’s head. It pruned the home of things it did not take to, the skin, the hair, the flesh and muscle and eye, and left only that which was of death, only that which did not leave in death. Isaac was left with one eye, a bit of nose gone, a bit of the flesh about his mouth gone. The interviews kept coming.
Isaac stayed at Arkham and the guards stopped turning old. The doctors stopped growing gaunt and tired. He felt that he was controlling whatever he had, controlling what he was given, and eventually, just a little, he stopped being so angry, stopped wearing a mask he wore to them. Of course, Isaac had a reputation for being violent, for throwing fits and chairs, and they were twitchy at first. The mood-swings that had seemingly marked him before seemed to come back, yet after five months of the young man talking like a normal human, they started to treat him as such, to understand him as such. They talked and talked, eventually leading to three doctors recommending Isaac Elliot’s transfer from the Asylum, his integration into normal society. Isaac would be released, aged twenty-five, a man who had become reborn in a way. He had no job prospects, however, nothing because of his face and his eye, nothing because of time spent locked away, of a record he himself had partially falsified, and as such took-up a job online as an artist. He stayed at home, barely going-out because everyone always was watching, because there was a world out there with eyes and minds and they were always thinking, always always, and they were thinking those same thoughts the goons who had once watched him. Isaac couldn’t really stand it.
He would become a recluse, an outcast from normal society. At least, he was a recluse until the man head of new forces and factions in town. Wanting to find someone, something, that would accept him, Isaac Elliot joined the Followers of the Hood, his hatred of his father, of what his father had done, an easy benefit to his own life.Weaknesses:

Isaac is supremely capable of exerting the influences of death upon individuals, causing rapid aging and the diseases that come with, physical ailments assaulting persons within his range. This might be done at range, with no physical contact, which has a lengthier time of ten minutes, this might be done with the general area Isaac is in, which would be a far longer period, or this might be done via physical contact. The first signs of his power comes with a slowing and degradation of the musculature, as though by disuse and stagnation, along with an aging of the skin and hair of the person, such as white streaks there or balding. This is followed with vein issues, blood clots and varicose veins, arthritis setting-in at the person’s joins. The final steps involve organ failure, central regions having supreme issues in doing such things as living. It can be noted that emotion can affect his focus and power used on an individual to the point of rapidly causing skin and bone disintegration, along with shock.

Isaac’s long times of being isolated from general society has ensured that he is both majorly distrusting of other persons and crippled in regards to social skills. The man cannot really make friends as far as trusting people with his life and is in constant convincement that many, many people are watching him and making such judgement calls as the goons of his father and the criminals of Arkham made. Isaac also has heavy influences towards being chaotically inclined. While he’s used to staying under cover, used to staying quiet in regards to the law about him, Isaac is not immune from the wants that come from being virtually untouchable. As a result, he is prone towards fits of thievery. This has, however, been lessened heavily due to Isaac’s time in Arkham and time alone. It takes a good deal of will to not perform these actions.
- Evasive Driving of Sharks:
As a driver, Isaac is not impressive in maneuvering about objects, in avoiding incoming attacks, or in rapidly navigating through urban streets in avoidance of followers. The man is mediocre at best in driving.

- General Marksmanship/Fighting:
Due to his time with the Followers of the Hood, Isaac has learned how to fire a rifle, pistol, or submachine gun at centers of mass, how to provide covering fire, and general squad tactics. He is also somewhat, though not immensely, versed in hand-to-hand combat in terms of Krav Maga, the style of combat the Followers of the Hood have adopted in order to rapidly teach recruits. Elements of Savate are also utilized in Isaac’s methods, though these are mostly in terms of kicks against knee joints in lieu of the more dexterous pirouette kicks that Savate is known for.

Something that can get the ball rolling for the villainous factions would work best to spark it into life. We have some villains who will be acting independently which will give the heroes something to do but if you get the groups of bad guys to do stuff then in turn the people playing the heroes can respond. If you need any help in working story stuff out feel free to TG me.
