Our country has had concerns about Nuclear War before, our country is very small and this does pose a major issue, however our concern isn't ourselves being involved in a nuclear war but rather our neighbors Turkey and Syria and the possibility of receiving fallout from them or even having warheads accidentally be fired into our country or a nuke exploding close to our borders. Our country would try damage control and close off certain areas of the country by setting up checkpoints and just being in a general state of emergency while the Government flees, and we'd utilize the army to maintain as much order as possible and we'd also request aid in decontaminating things, and we'd also likely not let refugees in from Syria or Turkey because of the possibility of them bringing in objects that are contaminated with radiation and likewise in our own country we wouldn't allow individuals to leave the affected areas.

The Strathan Empire currently has no nuclear arms capability, having begun a mass scrapping program in 2008, choosing to focus on use of more sophisticated conventional forces and stealth technology therein. With an impressively large conventional military and a presence all across the globe, combined with mostly cordial relations with other major powers, the requirement for nuclear weapons was not recognised by government. However, in the unlikely event of nuclear war, the Strathan Government has a set of protocols laid out in the so-called "Doomsday Plans" - a set of Ministry of Defence documents pertaining to a defensive war by powerful aggressor(s).

The main focus of the plan for nuclear war is the Empire's "Missile Shield", an early warning detection system based on RADAR mounted at ground stations, on ships, and on planes as well as satellite monitoring. The system detects incoming missiles and directs defensive missiles to intercept and destroy the target. As part of this, new information systems are being developed to intercept the missiles commands and order it to self-destruct; this has not yet proved as effective as the conventional missile interception method, however.

In the event of a missile being detected, and prior to its destruction (or in case its destruction is not successful), it's course is monitored and its target extrapolated. In the target zone, warnings are issued and civilians are directed, where appropriate, to bunkers or other underground structures such as subterranean railway stations, or otherwise instructed to evacuate or take shelter. During this time, the military are mobilised to the area to direct people and mitigate panic. The government will also declare a state of emergency and take shelter in bunkers at undisclosed locations along with the Royal Family.

In the event of a successful strike against Strathy, the military will be mobilised and Strathy will enter a state of war with the aggressor nation(s). Transport outside of the Empire will be all but shut down and travel within the Empire will be heavily monitored. In the event of the government's destruction the reigning monarch will take absolute control over the Empire and its military.

Means of deterrence are in place, such as the continuous deployment of no fewer than six Langford Class submarines at sea, patrolling undisclosed routes around the globe. These submarines carry an armament of intercontinental ballistic missiles carrying Scimitar-5 High-Yield Non-Nuclear Warheads, designed to be able to quickly destroy multiple strategic targets at once before disappearing completely.

With a large conventional force, superior monitoring and intelligence and a continuous at sea deterrent, the Empire is able to remain safe and secure.

With a hypothetical nuclear world war, there are two potential scenarios: apocalyptic and non-apocalyptic.

With the apocalyptic scenario, the People's Republic of Zhouran would simply fire at any nations deemed as aggressors. Regardless if first-strike or second-strike, the Strategic Weapons Command of the Zhouranese People's Army would simply fire most, if not, all of the nation's massive nuclear stockpile as part of Mutual Assured Destruction. Thanks to a massive nuclear warhead stockpile along with state-of-the-art road-mobile and silo-launched multiple-warhead ICBMs, the Strategic Weapons Command can pull off something such as the Strategic Double-Layered Rapid-Response Nuclear Strike Maneuver, which allows Zhouran to incapacitate any and all nuclear powers with ease, regardless of how efficient an opponent's anti-ballistic missile defense capability can be.

In regards to the non-apocalyptic scenario, thanks to Zhouran's highly-controversial "First Strike Policy", commanders can request for approval from the People's Defense Council to use strategic and tactical nuclear weapons for preemptive nuclear strike. While Zhouran does excel in both strategic and tactical nuclear warfare, the military already excels in combined-arms warfare, and combining that with nuclear warfare basically adds further sharpness to the already-deadly "Glorious Ayanjiamujuela of Triumphant Judgement". The Zhouranese People's Army utilizes a vast array of highly-sophisticated military equipment designed to keep the military successful against competitors in the global arms race. The Scientific Military Research Bureau, an advanced military research agency subordinate to the People's Defense Council, is responsible for the research and development of new technologies for military use, as well as forming and executing research and development projects to expand the frontiers of technology and science and able to reach far beyond immediate military requirements. The People's Republic of Zhouran spends around NS$732.8 billion annually to fund the Zhouranese People's Army. Thanks to its advanced and sophisticated equipment, as well as its massive blue-water navy and significant aviation capability, Zhouran has significant force projection capabilities. The most common type would be the Central Emergency Complex. Public shelters such as central emergency complexes can be found almost anywhere, from schools to small rural towns to busy city streets and even nice suburban neighborhoods as well. As a result, military analysts describe Zhouran as "one massive fortress" with many calling the nation a "supersize Israel, Singapore and Switzerland combined". While the current number of public shelters is unknown, it is estimated to be up to the hundred-thousands, with the number of central emergency complexes numbering at the thousands. The Ministry of National Emergency states that the entire 285,480,000 population can be fitted inside the public shelters including the central emergency complexes.

When it comes to anti-ballistic missile defense, the Aerospace Defense Command of the ZPA Air Force maintains an impressive array of highly-sophisticated air-defense missiles systems, radar systems, warning installations, and even anti-missile laser systems as well. Various intelligence-gathering stations monitor rocket launches and space objects while providing information to Zhouran's Space Intelligence Network and National Missile Warning Network, as a result the nation keeps an eye out for any ballistic missile launches that could potentially harm world peace and trigger a nuclear war.

With a large powerful combined-arms military that utilizes a wide array of advanced equipment and lethal conventional- and nuclear-firepower together with a highly-active air-defense network, a sophisticated network of air-defense intel monitoring, and an extremely-lethal nuclear deterrent capable of shattering any and all anti-ballistic missile defense systems, Zhouran is capable of inflicting nuclear apocalypse at any nations regarded as "threats to the existance of the Zhouranese People & Nation", turning even a powerful nuclear-armed power into nothing more than a mere irradiated graveyard of ashes and nuclear nightmare.

If we are to nuke every square kilometer of “Enemy” territory, we will need at least 10 million nuclear warheads. With our nuclear arsenal that large, we can obliterate the country 200 times over. On top of that, we also have at least 5,000 neutronium warheads at our disposal, with firepower at least 15 exatons each (the amount of firepower to match 270 billion Tsar Bombas, the largest H-bomb detonated by the USSR). We are aware that the firepower of a single neutronium warhead is several orders of magnitude above that of the energy of comet that destroyed the dinosaurs, and that it can annihilate all known life forms on earth, but we would rather prefer to share grave with our enemies than let them rule the world. In an unlikely event that Philippinae is defeated militarily, our Supreme Overlord will activate Operation Armageddon, which will result in the launching of neutronium warheads towards several targets within planet earth, causing its demise.

This takes the whole concept of Mutually Assured Destruction at a whole new level.
