A P P L I C A T I O N Vitals Name: She has been dubbed "The Assistant" by some, "The Custodian", and other "The [Insert Helping Role Here]" names. Gender: Female Age: 19 (from what she has said) Alignment: Hero Build: Depends. Her "designed for maximum communication potential" form, a statue with a simulated larynx that allows her to "speak" is roughly 2.5 metres tall made of bronze. Appearance: It's really whatever she is inhabiting at the time, be it smoke or a statue. Abilities Equipment: - None Primary Ability: Consciousness - She can fill up inanimate objects with her consciousness, as she herself does not have a form. However, she always "exists". She can inhabit only one type of material in an area at a time, or a single building. If they are connected she can inhabit multiple buildings. This goes the same for trees, books, statues, and almost anything. She can also inhabit air, but only if it is in someway contained, as she does have a large limit but open spaces are simply too big for her to fill. She doesn't know her upper limit, but she has tried before to fill an entire 60 story building and felt a bit strained, so it is most likely close to that. She can only control the mass of what she is controlling, and cannot form entirely separate parts and operate with them as well as the original object. If whatever she is controlling is destroyed completely before she can escape it she will be "destroyed", essentially rendered unconscious for several hours. It is thought IC that she can't be permanently killed, but if she were to be hit by a nuclear bomb or the equivalent power to the point whatever she is inhabiting and the air around it is destroyed, she too would simply cease to exist. Her unique state leaves her vulnerable to mind powers, impossible to be outright controlled or read by them, but easily suggestible and eager to please. The best way to beat her is to get into an open area where she will have to inhabit something smaller and more beatable to get to you. Other Abilities: Awareness - She is able to spread her attention into thousands, even millions of separate fragments within whatever she is controlling and only what she is controlling. If she is in a building, for example, she can cause thousands of hands made of whatever the building was made of to emerge from the walls and move each individual one with an equal amount of attention as if she was only moving one. This appears to be a safeguard her power has put in place for her so her mind is not shattered by the sheer data input that faces being something. Details Nationality: American(?) Hometown: Discovered in New York City Sexuality: ? Skills: She can't really be skilled in anything except her power, as she is essentially a sentient power. Flaws: Indoors, she is a nightmare to fight. However, if an enemy is out in the open with no large objects nearby they can easily evade her or even defeat her. She is also susceptible to letting herself follow those with mental powers (or those who she thinks know more than her) without question. Personal Personality: She doesn't really care about keeping herself safe, though this might be less about selflessness and more about knowing how difficult it is to get hurt. She also thrives as a subordinate and receiving orders. She can seem alien to some, but that is mostly just because of the unconventional forms she takes. Biography: Though she does not often communicate about her past, she has said that she was once just like everyone else with a physical body and family. When pressed for information she refuses to respond. She is fairly young but lived her entire life under the radar, working on her own and for various powered people over the years. When she was discovered by the Commission she was working for a Superior who worked under the radar by having the ability to essentially brainwash people and control their minds. She was a custodian and security guard, inhabiting the building and the air within it to keep it clean and safe. There was a brief battle in the building where her employer was killed, and the Commission subsequently attempted to "find" her. Seeking this opportunity to flee, she spent several years travelling the world, directionless. That is, until Spectre found her. It was a chance meeting really, her having taken control of a car an agent who happened to have a power to sense other powers rented from a rental agency that happened to be the only one opened at the hour. Despite the sheer chance of it all, it was surely meant to be. Realising that she was some sort of disembodied Superior he brought her to a local base, where she was able to vaguely communicate with them by embodying their building and shaping letters out of the wall. Glad that after such a long time doing nothing she would be able to do something, anything, she quickly agreed to join whatever academy they wanted her to go to. After this there was a whirlwind of activity to get her "ready" to interact as a normal person might. A Superior with the ability to create anything was tasked with coming up with something for her to inhabit that could both fight, look human, and allow her to communicate without a giant charade game or morphing of campus property. They came up with a tall bronze statue with a sort of larynx. After several weeks of training to learn how to move the different strands of bronze to make certain sounds and create words, she can speak with a modicum of ease in this body. However, despite how well suited it is for battle, she is loathe to fight in it or allow it to be damaged because she has yet to figure out how the entire complex larynx system works together. She has now been deemed ready to join with everyone else in a more acceptable and accessible form. #GreyApp |
