Is it War? you might ask.

From reading between the lines, there was once a case of some religious nutjobs in the Azadistani Commonwealth, let’s call them criminals, who conspired against some people in another nation.

Rather than sort out the mess peaceably, everybody got very excited. It was war!

This was not to the Aestorian liking, so they decided the solution was for the Azadistan Commonwealth to take a break from being a nation.

While everybody tries to adjust (or tries not to adjust) to this new reality, someone's head was filled with Munkchesteri explosives before being used as a funeral pyre, the Maharani was kidnapped by the Combine and thrown towards a volcano before being picked up by an Aestorian safety net, the Azadistan Commonwealth broke the treaty and became independent, and things just keep getting crazier and crazier until Allanea and the Aestorians decided to turn it into a trap for slavers.

Is it war? Is it peace? Is the Azadistani Government as nutty as a fruitcake? Does the Combine have $40 trillion of Monopoly Money? Is Viscount Vickers the sexiest man alive? Why are there so many Angels around? Where on earth is Azadistani? WTF is going on?

Whereas Azadistan is threatened by a coalition of nations,

Whereas Azadistan is wholly reliant on the Commonwealth for its effective defence,

Whereas The Azadistan Government appears to be unable to prevent criminal families from making conspiracy and threats against the interests of internal and international security,

Whereas Azadistan is in danger of becoming a failed state, devoid of development,

Therefore, the Aestorian Commonwealth desires to sign, by treaty, the following provisions to ensure the defence, order and good government of Azadistani by temporarily bringing to an end Azadistani’s existence as an independent entity; vis—:

Protocol-Treaty of Azadistan
(Draft)

Section 1: Protectorate

101. The Azadistani Commonwealth shall become a formal protectorate of and within the Aestorian Commonwealth, until:
i) The Aestorian Commonwealth gives at least one week’s notice of the end of these provisions, or
ii) After at least one year, the Azadistani Commonwealth Government may choose to end this treaty with at least one week’s notice, or
iii) If neither power has triggered the end of these provisions after ten years, the provisions shall come to an end, unless both powers choose to extend the treaty.

102. The Azadistani Commonwealth shall, within six months, elect and return one member of the Commons and Assembly per five million people for the duration of their membership in the Aestorian Commonwealth, to a minimum of ten and a maximum of fifty members of Parliament, and thereafter be so represented for the duration of these provisions.

103. The Aestorian Commonwealth shall appoint and hold to democratic account a Prince-Secretary & Viceroy of Azadistani.

104. The Prince-Secretary & Viceroy shall have the power, inclination, and direction to uphold and enforce these provisions through the Federal Police and the Courts.

105. The Azadistani Commonwealth shall cease to exist as a fully independent entity for the duration of these provisions.

Section 2: Azadistani State

201. The Azadistani Commonwealth’s State Government shall have the competence and power to make laws or orders in the future which are not vetoed by the Prince-Secretary and Viceroy, and the competence and power to maintain or enforce any laws and orders past or present, except where requiring or exercising the powers:

i) To declare war, recognize hostilities, or grant letters of marque or reprisal,
ii) To regulate customs and inter-state trade, and make competition rules regarding the single market,
iii) To govern with an effect contrary to the Aestorian federal government,
iv) To make threats or conspire against a foreign government,
v) To borrow money, except as authorized by the Aestorian Commonwealth,
vi) To increase the number of people engaged in their military forces, or their military budget, except as authorized by the Aestorian Commonwealth,
vii) To negotiate, maintain, and sign treaties and alliances without the authorization of the Aestorian Commonwealth, except as necessary to arrange the security of the Azadistani government after the ending of this Treaty, or as directed as part of the Aestorian Commonwealth,
viii) To establish or maintain courts with extraterritorial jurisdiction or change their territorial possessions or claims without the authorization of the Aestorian Commonwealth, or
ix) To maintain taxes higher the taxes of the Federal Aestorian Commonwealth.

202. As part of the above limitations, the Azadistani Commonwealth shall cease to consider itself at war with any foreign territory, and all Azadistani treaties and alliances shall be held in abeyance pending further consideration and confirmation by the Aestorian Commonwealth, except:

i) Treaties regarding customs, which shall continue to have effect in Azadistan for three months, and then be revoked by either party or freely bilaterally extended, or
ii) Treaties of amity, cultural exchange, defence, or intelligence, which shall continue unless revoked by either party.

203. All Aestorian & Universal rights shall be put into effect in Azadistani regardless of former legislation, and any opposing former legislation struck out.

Federal Government

301. Azadistani Court decisions shall be appealed to the Chattakang Court of Appeal, then the Aestorian Supreme Court, then the International Arbitration Court, then the Panessos Senate, or their successors.

302. In all other respects Azadistani citizens shall enjoy, without prejudice, all the equal powers and privileges and protection and responsibility of Aestorian citizenship, including Federal diplomacy and treaties, Federal government, Federal subsidy and minimum wages, Federal infrastructure, defence, education, health, law, order, and taxation, etc.

Let's go with the rule that if in doubt, ask whether other people are happy about it. I'm currently using NSMT, which is probably about half way between MT and PMT anyway.

Also, what you just kind of did with Azadistan in the treaty falls under the AA's definition of goddamn imperialism if I haven't seen it aggressive expansionism and a violation of national sovereignty to the Azadistani people, so.... yeah.

I have 1.2 billion population, My GDP's 10.59 trillion, and I have 9 aircraft carriers

If the war continues, Jebslund will be sending 10 Hornissennest-II-class carriers (150 fighters supported by each, in this case, broken down into 100 escort fighters and 50 fighter-bombers)) and 5 Schwarmträger-class supercarriers (400 aircraft supported by each, broken down into 200 escorts, 100 fighter-bombers, and 100 interceptors), along 10 AA battleships (basically battleships with the big guns replaced with as much AA as could be effectively crammed onto the decks. Features both guns and SAMs), 5 standard battleships, 20 AA cruisers, 10 battlecruisers, 10 ASW cruisers, and 10 ASW destroyers. This will be after an initial hit-and-run strike consisting of 500 Obsidian space-capable strike bombers. All this is predicated on Azadistan not agreeing to reign in its criminals and terrorists. If Azadistan agrees to deal with those factions, Jebslund will not enter the war.

Pop and GDP are NS stats are on the nation page. Jebslund is a very large nation.

No land forces will be sent at this time, and the naval forces have been instructed to go no nearer than they have to in order for their aircraft to be within effective range until the naval threat has been eliminated and Jebslund has air superiority (if not air supremacy)

We also have PMT ( Sort of like 2038 in technological level, no sentient AI or outer-space colonies, just more common and advanced forms of combat and living [Closest mach would be Black Ops 2 level of tech ]) although we are far from near-future tech.
