Despite of the tragedies that occurred across the world, the International Tech Summit was held in Athens nonetheless. The summit took place in one of Athens' biggest convention centers, five floors bottom to top, with an area equivalent to three football fields. Inside the convention center, transparent display screens and guide robots were found in virtually every corners of the summit, highlighting the advancement of Eclisian tech industry. 10 p.m. at night, crowds gathered on the top floor, as the upper curvy, dome-shaped roof opened up, revealing a large squadron of drones under the starry sky. Crowds cheered, as the drones formed multiple patterns, from a world map, to a white dove symbolizing the end of cold war between AA and JP. When suddenly the crowds screamed, as one of the drones fatally shot a member in the VIP area.

Somewhere in Eclius, a mysterious man received a message from an unknown source

Good morning, your next destination is New Collective City, the heart of Exodian political affairs. Your target, is Governor William Tobias Shang, a former business owner turned governor of Exodia. Our sources indicate that Shang will have a public appearance in three days in New Collective City, and our contractor has requested for his removal. We have not yet attained his top secret schedule fo the day, however, we have managed to book you into an exclusive banquet in New Collective City tomorrow, where several of Shang's advisors would be present, try to find out more about his plan. The place in which he will make public appearance is in the down town of New Collective City, where he will make a speech about peace talks with Jupiter Pact nations. The place will be swarmed with guards, and Shang will be heavily protected by Exodian security services. This contract is worth of 5 million Denarii, get it done properly. As of now, Exodian Intelligence and Eclisian Department of Security and Intelligence are not aware of our presence, however, you must act quick.

Hours later, Bureau of Domestic Security from Rome sent the intercepted message to the Exodian government. Impossible Mission Force was then activated in aim to protect Governor Shang. Messages were sent to the two teams

Merely few hours ago, an assassination took place in Athens, Eclius, where an Eclisian senator was fatally shot by a disguised firearm someone had equipped to a drone. Latest intel from Bureau of Domestic Security indicates a mysterious woman was behind the assassination. Furthermore, intel also suggests that the mysterious organization behind the assassination will attempt to kill Governor William Tobias Shang during the speech in which he will make on the potential peace negotiation between Angel's Alliance and Jupiter Pact. Your mission, should you choose to accept, is to infiltrate a highly exclusive banquet in Exodia, in which the sources indicate the mysterious assassin would be present to attain Governor Shang's travel plans. To avoid enemy's attention, Exodian police and security forces are not aware of this operation. Once again, should you or any of your team members get captured, UN will disavow all knowledge to the nature of this task force, or your operation details. This message will self-delete in 10 seconds.

Simon checked his watch, he had a few minutes to prep his equipment before the head waiter came calling, wondering why the toothpicks for the Hors d'oeuvres hadn't arrived to the kitchen yet. So the agent worked quickly, pushing aside various cardboard boxes full of sterling silver knives forks and spoons before he came to a much larger package stored in the very back of the bottom shelf. He smiled, pulling the large box out into the open, as well as sliding the top off. Three cases, one big, two small, and all containing some very deadly weapons. Simon spared no time as he opened the first, which held his trusty VT-10 pistol, small, quiet, but still with enough punch to rearrange someone's internal organs in a pinch. He strapped the sidearm into a concealed hip holster clipped to his XM-180 exoskeleton currently being worn underneath his clothes. The other two, he put onto the bottom rack of his service cart, safely concealed underneath the tablecloth that had been draped over it.

"Fishy, where are those 'picks? I needed 'em half a decade ago!" A loud voice called out somewhere in the kitchen. Simon shoveled the boxes of toothpicks onto the cart and wheeled it out of the closet, and past the head waiter, a large man who enjoyed hyperbole. Simon glanced again at his watch as he reached one of the kitchen staitions, where cooks hurriedly snatched boxes of toothpicks from his cart. Not a moment later he found his cart laden with a variety of appetizers, piping hot and ready for consumption. Simon pushed his watch underneath the sleeve of his waiter's uniform as he wheeled his cart to the door where the security guard stood, the agent only received a cursory nod as he passed, one of the perks of gaining the trust of the staff before anything went down. Soon he found himself in the main ballroom, now adorned with various decoration, and hundreds of patrons, waiting for their meals to arrive. Simon scanned the room, looking for any other IMF agents or suspicious persons as he made the rounds with his cart.

Governor Shang inhaled, adjusting his striped velvet necktie and glancing at himself in a bathroom mirror before stepping out into the banquet hall. He was dressed in brogues and a double-breasted blue jacket, with black trousers and his notable starched-white shirt.
He’d had his share of assassination attempts before, even before this moment- a far-left terrorist in a foolish wrath, although the Exodian Secret Service and his military background had saved him there. Being the leader of a not-well-liked democratic nation in a world of growing empires had taught him more, much more, and he had seen enough at the age of just 27- while he always tried to keep it off his mind, the challenge of these next three years in office, just like the three before, was simply to physically survive. There was a reason he kept a PS-R 9x20mm and a .44 under his jacket- despite it having become a joke at this point due to disuse, he sighed as he contemplated its origin.

‘Talk, just talk. Be yourself for a while, keep going. Say hello to old friends and make new ones as you always do. They’re likely putting it off for some other time. The ITF knows. They’ll cushion your fall.’ He whispered to himself.

It was hard, so hard to keep his mind off something only he was supposed to know- there were plenty of members from both parties he knew personally well in in the crowd, as well as close friends from his time as an entrepreneur- it would be a tactical nightmare if it turned violent, and not even his own bodyguards were ready.

Taking one last deep breath and nodding to Astein, the leader of his security detail, he walked out and smiled at the first group of guests.

Victor Zao entered the hall from a side door, nodding graciously at a waiter and entering. The young man was quite an eye-opener on that night, dressed in oxfords, a black bowtie, and a crimson mess jacket from his time in the Army. His line of ribbons and smaller versions of three service medals adorned his left breast, while a white carnation was tucked in his right breast pocket. On his feet were oxfords, his wrist a gold watch, and his nose silver-framed glasses. He smiled at a few other guests with his clean-shaven face, a tuft of black hair slicked back and spiked to his liking on his scalp.
His uniformed, standing-out appearance, he hoped, was to further disguise his presence as an operative- one could easily mistake him for a military prodigy who also acted as a playboy, or just another young businessman in his old uniform to seem more attractive.
He’d come armed well- a 4-inch blade was spring-loaded in both of his shoes, and another dagger was hidden in a concealed sheath under his belt. A suppressed PS-R with a laser sight was in a chest holster under his jacket with additional magazines in another pocket, alongside a tear gas grenade (aptly disguised as a bottle of cologne). A small, situation-molded “Dragonscale” ballistic vest was concealed under the mess jacket.
In addition, he’d taken the time to map out where members of the Exodian Secret Service kept weapons caches in case of an emergency- while his unknowing compatriots would be short a few carbines, Victor would be able to take the situation well.
As he started walking towards the center of the crowd, he spoke softly but clearly into a hidden microphone in his glasses.

“Remember, stay alert for all manner of guests, although our primary target is the lady the intel described. This is my hometown, so try to follow my lead- and if I do anything a bit... odd, just go with it, as I’ll explain as I go. Let’s start with that tall Persian- He’s the one charging me double fuel prices.” He asserted in a half-serious, half-witty tone. Accepting a plate of vodka glasses from a waiter, he picked up one and took a short sip.

Krysia entered through a different entrance, and muttered expletives under her breath as she adjusted her clothing.
She was, at the moment, wearing the "ball" version of her dress uniform(think WW2 Wehrmacht uniforms), the main difference being that her trousers were switched out for a grey skirt, which she loathed.
At least she got to keep her Calvary sabre, garrison cap, and jump boots.
In any case, there was no mistaking her for an officer. And, like all Prussian-Polish officers, she came armed and armored. Underneath her uniform, she was wearing a light flak vest with a few thin titanium plates bolted on. Although it wouldn't stop a rifle, she might survive 9mms, shotgun pellets, and the occasional .45 ACP.
Apart from her "ceremonial" sabre and M1911, she carried 2 throwing knives in the sleeves of her uniform, plus an MP5k hidden under her skirt.
Indecent? Maybe.
But few people ever searched a man throughly between the legs, and no one searched a woman there.
After entering, she remained on the sidelines. Upon hearing Victor, she clicked her radio(disguised as a hearing aid) in acknowledgement. She wouldn't respond verbally; talking to yourself was suspicious, after all.

16:00- The Grand Hotel, New Collective City, Exodia

"Eclisian senator fatally shot. The killer not identified," read a television screen in the lobby of the Grand Hotel. The news of the mysterious murder at the Athens Tech Summit last night was being covered by the media extensively throughout the day. One of the reasons the event had gone international is the unconventional method that was used to kill the man. A drone had been outfitted with a firearm and had shot the senator through the throat will performing for the audience in Eclius. The media and most likely the Eclisian government had no idea who the murderer is or their motive.

As Kyra Packer, or Sophia Wells for tonight's banquet, strode through the lobby of the luxurious hotel, she smiled at the sight of the news coverage. Her mission went according to plan, and it was almost time to carry out stage 1 of her next mission. After tonight, the second and final stage would ensure her paycheck of five million denarii was wired. But for now, her mission was to extract information about Tobias Shang from his advisers who are attending the banquet. She had a room booked at the Grand Hotel for one night and one night only. She wasn't planning on staying any longer. The banquet was scheduled to begin at 8 pm, so she had to get ready.

Kyra entered the elevator, pressed button 14, and waited to reach her floor. She got out and walked to room 651. Her keycard unlocked the door to the expensive suite. Her bags were already in the room as expected. She began preparing for tonight's operation. Papers with floor plans, names, and phone numbers littered the floor. On the large dining room table, Kyra had laid out her equipment. Since the mission was undercover and at a formal event, she was limited in what she could take. She decided on a Beretta 21A Bobcat equipped with a silencer, a small fixed blade knife, and of course, her dress, a stunning purple floor length dress with thin bullet proof plating under the upper part.

20:00- Exclusive Banquet, New Collective City, Exodia

The banquet hall was white and gold from top to bottom, including the champagne waiters who were dressed in white tuxedos and golden ties. The roof of the building had elaborate gold plated designs, real gold she assumed. Many high profile people from throughout the world were present, chatting, drinking, and laughing. She had to blend in with the wealthy businessmen, family heirs, and politicians. Her alias was Sophia Wells, the wife of Exodian coal baron who unfortunately could not make it to the banquet. She made sure to keep her eye out for her targets: Victor Chen, Daniel Rubio, and Arman Paddoss. She had memorized the faces of all advisers to the governor who were attending the party. Once spotted, she planned to lure one of them away and extract information about Governor Shang by any means necessary. If things got out of control she had her handgun strapped to her inner right thigh and her knife strapped to her left under her dress.

Sophia grabbed a glass of champagne from a waiter and noticed a man who had just recently entered the hall. She recognized him as Kuro Ito, a major technology entrepreneur.

"Mr. Ito," she called to the man as she approached him. He turned to look at her and smiled.

"Hello, madam," he greeted.

Sophia introduced herself and began chatting. While she talked to Ito and blended in with the rest of the guests, she made sure to keep an eye out for her targets.

A mysterious voice patched to Sophia through a blue tooth phone. The signal was highly encrypted, nearly untraceable. "Sophia, there are too many security personnel and witnesses at the banquet. Do not, I repeat, do not make any assassination attempts. Your objective is to retrieve his top secret travel plan and take actions then. According to our intel, Shang will be carrying a phone or some sorts of electronic device with him, you must attain crucial intel from there. We have updated your phone and equipped it with Eclisian CentRix virus, it should be able to intrude his devices successfully. Alternatively, his closest advisors will also be attending the banquet,they should be rather familiar with his plans, try to get them somewhere quiet, then see what you can get. Above all else, avoid killing and unnecessary attention at all costs. Please get this one done properly, those Eclisians are willing to pay plenty for Shang's life".

Several agents had discovered a mysterious transaction made to the account of one of the deceased assassins, who tried to assassinate Secretary of Science and Technologies. The transaction traced to an Eclisian national named Oppius Portius Allectus. Interestingly, there were no tax records about Allectus, yet, he generously paid 3 million Denarii to the assassin, much about this figure was mysterious. Sources also indicated that an individual of similar appearance had escaped to Königsberg. The findings were immediately shared with major security agencies from other nations.

Shang kept going- Rubio from Azure Solutions was a smart one indeed, stressing the importance of balancing national energy sovereignty and cooperation with foreign companies. “It’s a shame,” he thought to himself. “Man wants to try his hand at being a new senator. I don’t know how his sister would do as the new CEO, but I’d welcome him, whatever party he joins.”

He was a bit amused at the sight of Rubio drinking his way with a particularly pretty lady around his own age. It was a bit odd, as most Exodians didn’t generally prefer wines- “he must be really trying to impress her,” Shang mused, before shaking hands with Quinton, a senator from the rural communities.

Victor kept moving, gradually closer to Krysia. Eventually, he came close to her on the sidelines as he set down his glass of vodka. Looking at her, he discreetly pointed to a few smaller groups of Exodian Armed Forces G.I.s in their mess uniforms with NCO cutlasses, meaning to point her into a direction where she would fit in better, and possibly a better vantage point as a lookout.

“I would just like to compliment you on that uniform dress, out of courtesy- it fits well. Now, be careful around those with the swords- they’re a bit more... flirty than most. If one gets too touchy, feel free to slap him lightly- but don’t forget to smile.”

He said to her, raising his glass before carrying on, setting a course for a cluster of chatting people a couple groups away from Shang.

Krysia nodded. "Thanks." She headed posthaste for the group of NCOs. She snapped off a salute. "Evening you all."
She leaned against a column. "How are we all doing?" She kept a hand on her sabre through the whole thing; if one of them tried anything he would get smacked with the pommel and with a stream of German expletives directed at him.

Most of the group didn’t take notice; despite that, a few did- and one NCO, a starry-eyed taller youngster straight from an Army Amphibious regiment, walked over to near the column- luckily staying out of most of her view, but enough to where his presence was definitely announced.

“Oh, perfectly fine, absolutely fine.” He slid his cutlass an inch out of its sheath before dropping it back in. Seeing her uniform, he continued in purposely awful German in a faux Austrian accent, as two other soldiers gathered around, their phones out and ear-to-ear grins on their faces - “What might your name be, my lady? With the manner you came, it seems as if you wanted to stay and chat with us.”

On the other side of the room, Victor suppressed a laugh and cringed softly, before returning to monitor the Governor and those around him.

Krysia's eye twitched. She whirled around, drew her sabre, and jammed the pommel into his stomach, before sheathing it again. "The name is Hauptgefrieter Johanna von Danzig*, Prussian Polish Commonwealth. Fuck off, I'm married." She twisted the wedding ring she was wearing, and her face switched from annoyed to wistfulness. "...or, at least, I was..."

*No I did not have a brain fart, she's under an assumed name.

Initially, the G.I.s laughed when their friend was slapped, but backed off, now a somber expression on their faces. One tried to call out “sorry” in a sheepish tone towards Krysia’s turned back.

There was a slight disturbance in the crowd of people, as Daniel Rubio, in some sort of odd, drunken lust, kissed Mrs. Sophia Wells on the lips, with the latter trying to get away. Most guests turned their backs and laughed at how ridiculous life in Exodia could be, while a few others with a penchant for drama watched the scene a bit longer, interested in this new scandalous development. Shang, himself accompanied by a few Exodian Secret Service agents and several curious patrons, went back over to Rubio and lightly attempted to get him to explain what happened.

Victor was one of the few who turned around and saw the brief spectacle, chuckling at the absurdity of the 36-year-old attempting to make out with that hot college graduate in the violet gown- until he recognized that ‘hot college graduate.’
Images from briefing rooms rolled and flashed through his head as he gasped, the smile falling off his expression immediately. It took a Herculean amount of his willpower to not shout “threat” and instinctively yank the PS-R from its holster and start firing into the air.

“Fuck.” He started briskly walking in Kyra’s- (Kyra’s, God, he couldn’t believe it) direction, while brushing his microphone.
“Contact, contact. Purple dress. Brunette. Walking away from... looks like Rubio. Simon, move in to stall her, but don’t break cover. Krysia, move to hand-to-hand intercept on target once she’s outside. I know you’re a bit... moody right now. That’s fine. That’s good. Make it look like you’re leaving.”

Victor struggled to contain himself. One of the few and most infamous agents discharged and disavowed in the EIM, right on his own turf- and was only a few feet from the Governor he was instructed to protect.

Krysia gulped. "Roger that..."
She gripped her sabre. "Well, here goes nothing."
She began heading for the exit, with her path on an intercept with Sophia. She tried to look as moody as possible; not exactly difficult considering what happened.

Her cover-an NCO for Research and Development-was very similar to her actual identity.

All Prussian-Polish Officers, from the lowest Unteroffizier to the highest Feldmarschall knew their sword like the back of their hand; whether it was a freshly forged rapier off of the lines of Koenigsberg Armory to an elaborate family sabre wielded by a distant ancestor who was a winged hussar at the Battle of Vienna, all know the ins and outs of their blade, it's strengths and weaknesses, and would trust their life with it. Krysia had a Szabla mk34; the last type of sabre issued to the Prussian-Polish calvary before the second Weltkrieg-modified, of course, with a few personal touches; an elaborate guard and a pommel that ended in a point.
If this worked she would bring her sabre crashing down on her target's head before she even turned her head.
"Here goes nothing..."

Simon could only gave a quick reply to Victor, as he was tangled inbetween serving ever increasingly inebriated guests, and keeping an eye on his new quarry. The Purnelewian agent maneuvered carefully around the guests, who absentmindedly grabbed both delicacies and drinks from his serving cart.
Hand loosely by the holster of his VT-10, Simon was on a near intercept course with the target, only a few feet away..

As Sophia walked away from Rubio, she noticed a few peculiar things all occurring at once. She noticed that a Prussian-Polish officer with her hand on her sabre was blocking the exit that Sophia was heading toward. Sophia glanced to her right and saw a server pushing a cart towards her, and behind her, a man also briskly approached her. Her cover had been blown. Sophia transformed from her soft and gentle demeanor to a hardened, cold killer named Nightshade.

With her left hand, Kyra lifted up her dress and grabbed the small Beretta that was strapped to her inner thigh. She aimed the gun to her right and fired two shots at the server. Then she brought the gun under her left shoulder, aimed at the approaching man, and fired another two shots without looking back. The officer was already in close range, so she threw a strike at her throat with her empty hand.

The target lifted her dress, grabbed a pistol, and shot Simon and Victor, with her free hand headed for her throat.
Krysia ducked. In a flash, she drew her sabre and attempted to slash Sophia. With her left hand she drew her MP5k and threw it at Sophia's face.

Victor, slightly caught off guard by Kyra's early cover-break, was stunned by her initial shots, a sharp, momentary pain in his chest. The .25 ACP rounds had drilled straight through his red mess jacket, slamming into his lower chest- but bounced off his Dragonscale ballistic vest, their bloodless exit wounds visible through tears in the jacket threads.
Springing immediately into action after the initial shock, Victor's Special Operations muscle memory snapped into focus, as he cross-drew his PS-R from its shoulder holster (which he had taken the safety off of earlier) and a dagger from beneath his belt in one fluid motion and readying them in a CQC stance, he blasted off two suppressed rounds towards Nightshade, aimed at her left shoulder and the thick of her arm. Not caring to see if the shots had made their mark, Victor decided a wrestle-and-pin move would be too risky- and instead, pushed his full body weight into a perfect martial artist's kick with his right foot, eyes focused on her back.
If Victor had taken the time to click his shoe blade earlier, it probably would be over at that moment- but in his rushed attitude, all his adversary received was a heavy, blunted blow.

Fangsil Hall erupted into chaos. While the gunshots were suppressed, plenty were able to hear it and see the muzzle flashes. Most of the crowd surged away from the fighting, while the Exodian Secret Service and several patrons with concealed weapons of their own covered them. However, seeing the intensity, they stayed back as far as they could with their weapons drawn, unsure of what to do. Astein and a few other bodyguards dragged Governor Shang and several other officials towards the back of the dining hall, where they burst down the doors of the other side and entered a group of armored vehicles.

To be quite honest, a small part Simon was expecting this to happen.

Luckily, he had been wearing the plates for his exo that day, and as soon as the two 9mm rounds ripped through his server's clothes, they impacted the hard composite material concealed underneath. Cushioned by a shock absorbent layer behind, Simon was fairly unharmed, save for two small bruises. The agent grimaced, but he knew he had little time to complain, as he pulled the largest case out from his serving cart, and ripped the SAR-19 carbine from the protective foam layer. Slamming a magazine into the bullpup's receiver and flicking off the Active Guidance System's safety switch, he brought the rifle to bear on the target, who was currently being engaged by his two other allies, which were blocking his shot.

Simon cursed, he swung wide around some tables in order to get a better angle when he spotted the ball's security personnel looking dumbfounded, and doing absolutely nothing useful.
"What are you doing?" He shouted, "Close the exits, lock this place down!"

Nightshade

The officer ducked under Kyra's jab and slashed at her with her sabre. Kyra managed to just barely move out of the way of the blade. Then the officer drew her gun and swung it at Kyra's head. She easily ducked under it and threw two punches at the officer's gut. Then Kyra felt a sharp pain in her left arm. The agent behind her had fired a shot at her shoulder, which was stopped by her bullet proof dress, but the second shot hit the left side of her tricep. Before she could respond, the agent kicked her in the center of her back, sending her forward to the ground. Kyra quickly rolled over onto her back and fired two shots at her attacker. Then in an agile maneuver, Kyra attempted a leg sweep at the officer, trying to immobilize her attackers in order to escape.

"Fuck!"
Victor let out a sharp yelp and a curse, as two more .25s slammed into his upper chest- while still protected by a ballistic weave, he absorbed the full impact of the rounds as they stuck in the cloth.
Coughing and gasping from the impact, still cursing, he reholstered his PS-R and grabbed Krysia's MP5k from the ground amidst the two fighting women, then pushed himself to slide off to a section where he had table cover, before turning on a HUD to appear on his glasses. While the STA targeting assist would be nearly useless with this amount of rapid movement, it would help when he got a clearer shot.

"Simon! Cover!" he shouted, although it was certain he would hear it over comms. "damn bitch, ruined this good suit", he remarked in a mutter to himself.
An idea popped into his head.

"Krysia, brace yourself- you're gonna get full blast and it's not going to be pretty." he said, as he readied the tear gas grenade (disguised as a cologne bottle) in his jacket for throwing.
