I was thinking this wouldn't be a problem as it doesn't actually change the universe much seeing as Cuba's specific history with superheroes hadn't been elaborated up to this point. I was even thinking about playing with an idea of Che Guevara as a superhuman and a personal hero of Cecilia, which I thought would be very cool and interesting.
As for the second part, I didn't mean to imply that Cuba is some kind of utopia or even overall better than the United States. My characters, both of them, have a strong political component with Cecilia being a frustrated communist, like how Finland SSR put it, and Marcos taking up a hereditary position of anti-imperialist resistance. In the RP I was hoping to expand on Marcos and Cecilia's relationship with their home countries/roots and politics generally, giving a little bit of extra scope to a superhero rp.
I... Would not have her idolize Che Guevara unless he's a villain and we are going with the real version of him that he's non-powered and dead. Most people don't tend to like racist mass murderers. And after talking with Tom and Zark, we did agree that there is no way Cuba would accept Supers quicker than any other modern nation.
It's pretty heavily implied that it's some sort of utopia. As far as politics go, we're not looking to inject that into the RP. Unless it's just for Marcos and Cecilia, then by all means.
Alright, I won't take up any kind of debate with those statements here. I'll edit the character then, if her bio is unacceptable. I'll probably just make her from a different country altogether.
