NS Name: Ormata
Character Name: Elise Isaksen
Gender: Female
Age: 26
Appearance:Elise stands at 5’6”, relatively standard for most people in Cagia, with a thin, lithe frame that can be considered by many to be underdeveloped. Her hair is a dark brown, kept moderately short and free from any sort of braid or clasp, her eyes a field green. Elise’s skin is tanned just enough that one might guess she spends a fair amount of time outdoors.
House: House Ungre
Faction: House Ungre
Mage Type: Esoteric/Sensor
Magic/Abilities:Elise practices a sort of blood magic wherein with the consumption of a person’s blood she knows much upon them, such as their whereabouts, thoughts, feelings. The amount of blood determines the amount of information she knows upon them. With a single drop, she can discern the direction of the person and a vague feeling of their emotions. With a vial, she knows precise locations, thoughts, and emotions to the point wherein she herself begins to feel those same emotions. It should be noted that the freshness of the blood does not have any bearing upon her ability to use it, dried crimson able to be scratched-away and mixed with a bottle of brandy. It is not known how larger quantities of blood would fuel this ability.
Limitations:
She is capable in finding persons within a radius of fifty feet who have magic, though can only discern that there is a person within that circle about her. Elise is not able to discern who has magic and who does not within that circle.Elise is not skilled with the bow, nor the axe, able in only the use of a sword in her defense. Furthermore, she is weaker than the greater norm, both from the poor diet of her times in the forest and with her earliest years being ones of scarcity. The woman is moderately able in running, though nothing massively impressive. Her capacity as a Sensor is also limited.
Biography:Born to House Ungre, upon the coastal city in the town of Durvais, Elise’s early life was characteristic towards a fisherman of the region. Helping her family in their daily catches from just the age of five, she would become capable with gutting, eventually graduating up to the point of being able to be on the vessel itself at aged ten. Her father would always tell stories, stories of long passed history and far-flung wars, of mages wielding deadly magic that could blow-apart cliff faces, rock sliding into the blue waters. To a degree, her imagination was filled with these images, yet Elise knew that she would never reach those heights. She was a commoner, born to spend her years fishing.
Additional Information (anything else you want to say?):
One day, yet, she found herself slowly becoming more and more aware of the people around her, of the abilities therein. Elise grew able to sense other mages about her, first found when a group of soldiers headed by one such mage, an Inquisitor in fact, made her begin to vomit, the nausea too much. She would, at the behest of House Ungre, be sent to the Eravil Academy of Magic where she would learn upon the skills, attempting to hone them into something a bit more useful, something a bit more wanted. Elise, with her tendency to dislike the hidebound manners of the mages residing there and a lesser education than most, found herself at odds with that academy. She would, after just a few months, be forced away from that place with nothing to show for it.
Elise would travel as a vagabond for several months, moving south through the mountains until she reached the forests to the east of Dacryn. It would be there, after some time in the green, that she would come across a group of shamanic witches, practicing ancient magics that weren’t touched in any official academy for fear of heresy. Elise, finding their ways to be interesting, stayed with them for many years and it would be there that she would learn of her abilities in full. In ritual, she found this, embracing it in a way. Then the Red Dawn came, attacking the witches, seeing them as conspirators with whomever they hated, whomever they hunted. Elise would flee, coming back to House Ungre and home, back to avenge those lost.

NS Name: Ormata
Character Name: Yngvar Arntzen
Gender: Male
Age: 33
Appearance:Standing at 6’2”, Yngvar is taller than a good deal of men in the forest. His physique is that of a soldier, muscles defined and stature build, his posture just as good from years of tutelage under the sword and within the armor. His black hair is kept short, often under a cloth for his helmet, and the man’s skin is deeply tanned from years of watch. A series of runes have been carved into his skin, along the arms and legs, upon the stomach and pectorals, winding in celtic knots and imagery of drakes breathing fire, of the olden days of myth and legend.
House: House Ungre
Faction: House Ungre
Mage Type: Mage
Magic/Abilities: DrakenYngvar holds the ability of pyromancy, though in a limited sense. He is capable of absorbing, or ‘eating’ fire in that he can draw it into his mouth within a cone with approximately a twenty foot range, and is then able to breath it out, much like the dragons and drakes of yore. The power and range of this gout of flame is dependent upon how much he takes-in and can be controlled by himself, allowing for great, brief bursts of sheer death or a slow burn. Runes carved into the man’s skin allows him to carry more fire within.
Limitations:
Furthermore, the man is well and truly able in the art of combat, both from the long years of banditry upon the road and from his more formal training under House Ungre. Yngvar knows how to take a man apart in full, with sword or axe or spear, though his skills more lie in the art of two handed weapons in the brutal natures that those hold. In addition to this, he is capable in javelins and the bow. His particular favorite is that of the great axe with a long shaft, capable of reaching out and touching enemies with ease.He cannot absorb too much, as there is a limit towards most things internal to the human body, and cannot produce his own flame to eat. As such, Yngvar is often forces to either carry a torch of his own about or to pray that a pyromancer is amongst the enemy ranks. Yngvar also cannot contain the fire too long within him as it starts to burn-off the interior lining of the stomach, despite the magical nature of his power. If the magical runes along his skin are cut, Yngvar is slightly hamstrung if he is already holding too much within himself and as such may cause disastrous consequences.
Biography:Born in the poorer areas of Cagia, near Kalingway, Yngvar’s parents were of the more interesting sort. His father was a rover, standing along the roads to ‘ensure people’s safety’ while being providing just a bit of coin by way of thanks. That’s the polite way his mother, whom was of adventurous sort in bed while being provided just a bit of coin by way of thanks, would always put it to her four children. While he would allowed into the whorehouse, there being little reason why he would not, the women there would treat him in the strangest way, as though he were like family instead of the random snot-nosed pup that one might think. Yngvar would live there, in a way, and with his father not quite at home most of the time, be raised in the fashion of the outdoors. Every day, he would be bustled-out, out to deliver messages, to hunt some game for the markets, the mannerisms and pastimes of rascals.
Additional Information (anything else you want to say?):
The young man, eventually, would be bustled-out for the last time, having been decided that he should go and join with the men on the road to fight and gain some little bit of fortune for his own instead of suckling off of another’s tete. Metaphorically, that is, of course. Yngvar went, joining a band of highwaymen along the Kalingway-Dacryn road, plundering noble caravans and travelers. He found the restraints of conscience to be weak ones, broken with the simple truth that it was either us or them, that the family one kept was far more important than the families one would break, and he would find the constraints of the mind to be easily broken. It was within this setting that Yngvar would discover Draken, discover fiery breath and how he might do so.
It would first be demonstrated when a band of cavalry, dispatched from Kalingway to kill the men, would ambush them about the campfire, deep into the night. Yngvar awoke, seeing the group of mounted men with swords drawn, ready to slaughter the men asleep, and with an unthinking impulse he did what he felt he had to. The campfire turned liquid, fire dancing across the air in tendrils of flame into his gaping maw, and all went dark about the men, seeing only a dulled light in the shape of a man before them. Yngvar would set them alight, all of them, and they danced and sang into the night with shrill voices, frantic movements, until they laid to rest. The cooked men were laid to rest in unmarked graves alongside the road and the band continued along its way, gaining some distinction as the cavalrymen dispatched were never found.
Then they encountered a band of men, not dispatched but saying they were sent anyways, and the bandits and wizards found in a wildling battle. The highway there was cracked and blasted, earthen heaps rising dozens of feet into the air as fiery blasts turned the ground into ashen soot. Yngvar would escape that, running away with just his life, and knowing that those men would place his picture in most towns, ran away to the west, away to the forested areas and to House Ungre’s employ, where he stayed there to become a guardsman. If anything he did it purely out of survival, yet after an age the man has found some pride in his employ, even more so since they left the wing of the Commonwealth.
