The Huterric Policy on Unconditional Birthright Citizenship
A baby born in the Huterric Union is not automatically a citizen of the Huterric Union. This is ideally to prevent birth tourism as we do not want dual nationals who live elsewhere with Huterric citizenship. a baby can only be a Huterric citizen if either the mother or father is a Huterric citizen, if the mother or the father is in the process of obtaining citizenship. Other than that they obtain the citiszenship of their parents regardless of birth country.

Do babies born outside of the Huterric Union obtain citizenship if their parents are citizens of it?
No. You have to be born in the Huterric Union to obtain citizenship.

The Huterric Policy on Dual Citizenship
We only allow dual citizenship with very few countries. Other than those countries, the Huterric Union some of the strictest policies against dual citizenship. Children who are involuntarily born dual citizens of the Union by age 18 always end up with only one citizenship. If a child involuntarily born with dual Huterric citizenship is not living in the Union at age 18 and has no intent on returning they will automatically lose citizenship. If they intend on returning their citizenship will be revoked if they don't do so within 5 years. Children involuntarily born with Huterric citizenship who are living in the Union at age 15 must either take our pledge of allegiance and renounce the citizenship with the other country or choose to renounce Huterric citizenship. Their choice will come into effect at age 18 and those who do not choose to keep Huterric citizenship must apply for a visa or leave the country by age 20. Those who voluntarily obtain citizenship of another country who were Huterric citizens automatically lose their Huterric citizenship and cannot apply for permission to retain it. Those who wish to become Huterric citizens must renounce citizenship with their home country before continuing the process. The government actively takes measures to only allow those living in the Union the ability to have citizenship. DIPLOMATIC WORKERS, SUCH AS THOSE IN CONSULATES AND EMBASSIES, ARE 100% EXEMPT FROM THESE LAWS. However, their children are not.

Does the Huterric Union tax its citizens even if not living in the Huterric Union?
Mostly, yes. Most citizens, regardless of whether or not they live in the Huterric Union, are taxed. This does not apply for certain countries (THESE ARE THE SAME COUNTRIES WE ALLOW DUAL CITIZENSHIP WITH)

How long does it take to obtain citizenship with {country} voluntarily, and what does the process involve?
It depends on individual. Usually it takes 2 years from applying, but one must be living in the union for 5 years in order to be able to obtain citizenship. The first step is that the person in question must be able to drive and be able to drive on highway status roads at time of applying (this privilege is lost after 2 driving offences in the Union). The second step is to order the Life in the Huterric Union book and study from it. After 1 year the Huterric Citizenship Test will be taken, awarded by examining body QOHU (Qualifications Office of the Huterric Union). A lot of the knowledge assessed is expected to be self learnt from the prior 5-6 years of living in the Union, whereas a lot of information, such as history, politics, culture, and the Huterric language are assessed from the book, or in the case of language separately. Then if one passes one must renounce citizenship of the previous country they were a citizen of, then take our pledge of allegiance before obtaining a temporary citizen card before a permanent one, aka a "yellow card", is sent (a permanent one will be mailed within 5 working days).

The Lillorainian Policy on Unconditional Birthright Citizenship
In principle, every baby born on the territory of Lillorainen also gets Lillorainian citizenship. If their parents are not citizens of Lillorainen, their baby will obtain both, unless their parents want to leave Lillorainen with their baby and wish their baby to get the citizenship of their home country only.

Do babies born outside of Lillorainen obtain citizenship if their parents are citizens of it?
They do have a right to it from our position, but this depends on the laws of the baby's birth country.

The Lillorainian Policy on Dual Citizenship
Citizens of the Federation of Lillorainen are allowed to have multiple citizenships, unless other countries they have a citizenship of do not allow that.

Does the Federation of Lillorainen tax its citizens even if not living in Lillorainen?
Yes (exeptions may be negotiated). If they choose to drop their Lillorainian citizenship to save taxes, let them do. No one holds you.

How long does it take to obtain citizenship with Lillorainen voluntarily, and what does the process involve?
It's a quite fast process. As soon as you wish to apply, you go to an immigration office where you show your papers and fill out a little form. Usually, you will receive your documents within a week. Background checks do exist, but don't play a major role. - We made this process very easy because many employers refuse to employ workers without Lillorainian citizenship - making it hard for foreign applicants to get a job (although we have an 'infinite visa' policy).

Since Lillorainen's geography is currently being overhauled a 'tiny' bit, most information on it posted before December 12, 2018, is not entirely reliable anymore. Until there's a new, proper factfile, everything you might need to know can be found here. Thank you. #RetconOfDoom (Very late update, 2020/08/30 - it's still going on ...)

The Gandoorese Policy on Unconditional Birthright Citizenship
A child born in Gandoor is not automatically granted citizenship, citizenship is only granted by birth if at least one of the parents holds Gandoorese citizenship or if the child would otherwise be stateless at birth.

Do babies born outside of Gandoor obtain citizenship if their parents are citizens of it?
Yes, any child born to at least one parent who holds Gandoorese citizenship are given Gandoorese citizenship at birth, regardless if they were born outside of Gandoor or not.

The Gandoorese Policy on Dual Citizenship
Dual citizenship is allowed so long as the other country also permits dual citizenship.

Does Gandoor tax its citizens even if not living in Gandoor?
Yes, all Gandoorese citizens are taxed, regardless of where they live.

How long does it take to obtain citizenship with Gandoor voluntarily, and what does the process involve?
Before applying for citizenship, one has to have lived in Gandoor for a minimum of three years and have obtained permanent resident status (obtainable after having lived in Gandoor for one year). Applying for citizenship merely requires that one has a fluency in any one of our three official languages (English, Japanese, and Russian) and they must take a 35-question citizenship test, which will test their knowledge on Gandoorese laws, government, and history. One must get at least 26 questions correct in order to have passed the test, but it can be retaken if one fails. (The test takes its questions from a pool of 150 possible questions, so it's unlikely that one will receive the exact same test if they take it again)

Within four weeks of passing the test, one will go to a Citizenship and Immigration Office where they must declare the Gandoorese Oath of Citizenship in front of an official, who will then give them their Certificate of Gandoorese Citizenship, officially bestowing Gandoorese citizenship on them.

The Argentine Policy on Unconditional Birthright Citizenship

Do babies born outside of {country} obtain citizenship if their parents are citizens of it?
All minors born to Argentine parents or one Argentine parent (father/mother, doesn't matter) receive citizenship immediately if their birth is reported to the nearest Argentine embassy or consulate. They can also be citizens should the parents not file the birth with the embassy/consulate by the parent acknowledging them in front of an Argentine judge before they reach the age of majority (18). They can also become citizens after reaching the age of majority by filing an application to the Department of State and bringing supporting documents as requested.

The Argentine Policy on Dual Citizenship
Dual citizenship has been legal in Argentinstan sine 1950. Argentine citizenship, unlike many other citizenships, cannot be renounced except under exceptional circumstances such as danger to the holder. However all Argentine citizens are required to enter and exit the country on their Argentine passport and may be prevented from departure or entry should they not have an Argentine passport. Argentine citizens will only be recognized as Argentine citizens within the borders of Argentinstan.

Does {country} tax its citizens even if not living in {country}?
Yes, Argentinstan taxes citizens on worldwide income except for citizens that pay taxes to Taitung Pinyin, per an agreement between Argentinstan and Taitung Pinyin.

How long does it take to obtain citizenship with {country} voluntarily, and what does the process involve?
Permanent residents can apply for citizenship after 1 year of continuous residence. Continuous residence as in present within the country for 9 months in every 12 month period. Refugees and stateless persons can apply for citizenship immediately.

The Coconut Palm Islandian Policy on Unconditional Birthright Citizenship
Any child born within Coconut Palm Island (CPI), or in any areas of the world considered CPI soil, is automatically a citizen, even if their parents are not yet citizens.

Do babies born outside of Coconut Palm Island obtain citizenship if their parents are citizens of it?
If both parents are citizens of CPI, a child born off the Island is automatically a citizen of the Island. If one parent is a citizen of CPI, a child born off the Island will be considered a citizen of the Island if their parents request citizenship for the child.

The Coconut Palm Islandian Policy on Dual Citizenship
Dual citizenship is fine. However, we prefer that if someone is leaving our Island, never to return, that they renounce their citizenship. They can always ask for it back later if they change their mind.

Does Coconut Palm Island tax its citizens even if not living in Coconut Palm Island?
All citizens must pay taxes. If someone has been living off the Island for over a year and/or has left and intends not to return, they may request that their

How long does it take to obtain citizenship with Coconut Palm Island voluntarily, and what does the process involve?
There is only one requirement to become a citizen-- take a two hour "citizen seminar" with an immigration officer within a week of arriving on the Island. The seminar covers basic laws, the things expected of a citizen, how and when to pay taxes, the things the government provides (like healthcare) and how to find those resources, and tips on how to settle in to the Island easily. At least 20 minutes is spent on the Bill of Rights-- the immigration officer explains to the new citizens the rights that they have, including the fact that they are now citizens and cannot be deported for any reason (and therefore have no reason to fear law enforcement or government officials).

It is not hard to become a citizen. The citizen seminars run twice a day, and the course can also be taken online prior to arriving on our soil. Even if someone doesn't take the course, they cannot be deported. That doesn't happen here. In most countries it takes years to become a citizen. Here, it takes a few hours.
