Biography: Arturo Ortiga was born in Indonesia, he was attending his kindergarten, elementary, junior high, and high school in Indonesia. His performance in school were relatively average, despite having some difficulties with adapting to new things. His difficulties came from his parents who oftenly told him to be more quiet when he was in kindergarten since he was very noisy back then. He also had a sister whom he does joke with in some moments. However, he hate his sister as she was very forgetful, and also not very reliable when holding up her emotion.

Arturo's relation with his parent were mixed up. He loved them very much, however he doesn't like it when his parent doesn't recognize his hardwork in school. Oftenly than not, his parent fight each others and resulted in a tense situation around the house in which it affected Arturo's grade in school. This caused Arturo to have a depressed life, and thus he turned to video games which affected his score more.

As his parent grew colder to each other, Arturo found himself that he was fixing his video games (Playstation and such) and electronics since his parent was too busy with each other and doesn't have time to dealt with Arturo's broken video games and electronics. He and his sister usually spend their time fiddling and fixing video games and electronics without any instruction manuals. The time that Arturo spent on fixing and fiddling electronics made him learned how to dealt with electronic and he began to be recognized in his class as the person who would usually help the computer teacher dealt with the computer (it's pretty common in Indonesia), thus he earned the nickname of 'Iron Fist' (pun intended as his classmate oftenly joking around).

Later on in his life, Arturo joined a high school in which it was specialized more in world history rather than math and science. Beeing in school that required him to memorized a lot of things increased his long term memory skills since Arturo managed to dealt with memorizing stuff in his high school. In the last holidays before exam, Arturo asked his parent so he could visited some pen pals in America. At first his parent refused because America was a distance place from Indonesia and there will be exam 1 week after holiday, but he managed to persuaded them by saying that it would be a quick visit and he would also try to asked his friend to teach him.

Arturo arrived at Washington DC and goes straight into Chicago by train, then he met his friends in the train station. He hugged his friends and the 3 of them (there were 2 pen pals in Chicago) goes around Chicago. When it was near 4 PM, Arturo decide to call it a day and asked his friend where he could stay, one of them decided to let Arturo stayed in his house for a few days. And so, Arturo Ortiga spent a days after days playing, studying and took a tour around Chicago with his friends.

While Arturo was touring Chicago, they heard about the infection that was going in the USA and across the globe. Arturo tried to call his parent through his cellphone, but unfortunately his parent doesn't answered him. Worried, he check the flight to Indonesia in case that the infection was real. But the flight were mostly cancelled due to the infection. His friend told him that it's better to wait on his house untill things get better, Arturo agreed. After a few days, things got worse, they decided to board the house in hope for survival and was hoping that the infection would finally goes down. Little what they know that things gonna gone worse from there......

Alright, so, for starters, I'm fairly certain basing your survival knowledge on a video game is a sure fire way to end up dead, just saying. About his being Gifted, his bouts of mindless rage sounds more like TB-13, Infected, since they're the ones who attack everything in sight. Having some brain issue is fine, but maybe nix the rage. I've also seen hallucinations done poorly (sometimes good, but a lot of bad) so I hope you know what you're doing. And how many water bottles do you have? Lastly, I ask that his skill with guns be somewhat tame.

When his supplies began to run low, Steven stepped out onto the streets in search of more, despite neighbors warning him of "infected" people roaming the streets. The city was quiet, save for sporadic gunfire. Biking to the nearest market, he realized that the store had been locked, with crazed individuals pounding at the glass from the inside. Finding another store, already broken into, he looted it of the supplies that he needed. Upon returning to the apartment building, an infected noticed him and ran at him. He ran for his room and locked the door behind him just a couple seconds before it began pounding on the door. By the time that power went out in the building, the pounding, the screams, and the gunfire had long since stopped. All he knew of the crisis was the desolation outside his window, and the increasing number of shambling infected roaming otherwise abandoned roads. For all he knew, he was the last sane person left in the world.

Personality: Anthony is a dedicated, compassionate, and hard-working man, but he suffers from a stubborn disposition, particularly when attempting to rescue others, often putting himself in dangerous situations. He is also dedicated to his pacifism, even agaonst the zombies, and refuses to maim or kill unless absolutely and completely necessary.
Biography: Born in Cincinnati, Anthony grew up in a lower-class slum, the son of a dead-beat, drunk, and abusive ex-construction worker for a father, and a meek and spineless waitress of a mother, the oldest of five. His dad was sent to prison when he was 12 for beating his mother nearly into a pulp, and was killed shortly afterwards in a prison yard brawl, leaving Anthony to become the provider of the household as him mom recovered. He took odd jobs around the neighborhood, and helped out at the restaurant his mom worked at, barely scraping together enough money for rent, let alone food or utilities, but amazingly, his family made it by.

After she recovered, his mom was largely catatonic and spent her days sitting in the living room smoking and drinking, while Anthony juggled work and school, busting his ass all the way through and becoming salutatorian, and being offered a scholarship to Ohio State University to play basketball, but he declined in order to stay home and continue taking care of his siblings. He joined the Cincinnati Fire Department when he was 19, and quickly established himself as a hard-worker, dedicated and compassionate, but also recklessly stubborn, often putting himself at risk to save others, earning him just as many reprimands as he received commendations.

When his youngest sibling graduated high school, Anthony didn't have to provide for anyone any more, as his mother was dying in hospice care and his siblings were either stable and well-off, or imprisoned, and for the first time in his life he could do something for himself. He decided he was going to receive a degree, just for his own sake, and began taking night classes at a local community college, receiving an Associates in Sociology, the subject that most interested him in his classes.

Having lived through and seen the tragedies of 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina, and seeing the work that FEMA and other rescue workers performed, Anthony left the CFD after 15 years of service and joined FEMA as a full-time urban search and rescue worker, shortly before the Chicago Outbreak. Anthony was deployed with Ohio Task Force 1 to Chicago to aid in urban search and rescue operations, as well as general aid operations, and performed admirable with his team even in the face of a growing zombie population, along with a more violent surviving populace. Roughly three weeks into the quarantine, Anthony became separated from his team while fleeing a group of zombies, and was left alone in the city, holed up in the burned-out ruins of a mini-mart, still in his rescue gear, and without any way to resupply or contact his team, as his radio was broken in the act of fleeing, and his GPS died shortly afterwards. He didn't even have a backpack or sleeping bag, as they had deployed on a simple rescue operation that was supposed to take a few hours. He only had a few dried MREs and granola bars, a mostly-full canteen, and a few tools he'd packed into his harness, but was left without a tent or sleeping bag, and so Anthony's main mission is to link up with any remaining government forces, or better yet, his own team, and return to rescuing and evacuating civilians.

Biography: Thomas Martens was born in 1991 in Utrecht, The Netherlands, to a Dutch father and Indonesian mother. Thomas was quick to learn fluent English, although his Dutch accent never went away. Main issue with the bio is his being in Chicago. Coming to do research on human behavior is something an undergrad in university would be doing for a thesis, not a sophomore, and, regardless, if you looked at the OP it mentions the date as being late-July to mid-August for the outbreak, so no school is in secession. Change that. Additionally, I expect skills learned from reading to be sub-par to skills learned by performing as there is a difference between knowing something and being capable at actually doing it. Lastly, if you could maybe flesh out the bio a bit more that would be nice. It's pretty anorexic looking. Looks more like a handful of sentences than a paragraph.
