I’m going to post a news article about the debate later tonight, and then a little bit after that post the results.

The Iowa Caucus results have been posted. Sorry about not posting much — I've been busy today. The debates were factored into the results.

You have my word that I will make future results releases more interesting than just posting them! Today was an exception.

edit: One more thing — delegate totals. I'm going to use the allocations for 2016. This isn't ideal, but it will make it possible for everyone to look them up and strategize based on them; calculating them myself would require a lot of worldbuilding on my part that is best left to the roleplay as a whole (for instance, how a state swung in 2048, or what the party of each governor is).

edit edit: I'm going to modify totals a little bit, based on how population has shifted.

Considering that none of our quotes were used for the most recent debate, could we reuse some of them for the next debate?
I use my NationStates stats, because a population of billions/trillions and an economy of hundreds of trillions is totally viable, trust me.
But seriously, aside from the population and GDP, just assume that my NS stats are roughly accurate.

I'm going to push the New Hampshire primaries back by one day, to the 22nd, if there are no objections. I'll have a few news articles up tonight and the revised delegate allocation for each state.

Just wanna state for full disclosure I'm going to mudsling at everyone's candidate, my character's going to be an asshole about it, but if your character is an extension of you and I think everyone's is to some degree I'm not trying to attack you as a person just char. So again it's an rp I'm rping char I wanna to apologize in advance for the douchebagery to come. If you want me to tone it down I will just ask. Thanks! :)

And then he doesn't even mention Guess by name, and is only like get rid of the Premier.

Which is like, I know it's politics and all, but does anyone actually know why the title is Premier, both in the IC and OOC?

I did that for a reason, to make him sound amateurish and brutish. But, I kinda understood why the name change in Cali happened but then again I don't understand fully how or why it happened. If you can elaborate or point me to where you explained how Guess manage to change the title I'd appreciate it.

Oh, I don't mind elaborated at all, you're not the first person to go Guess = Soviet.

Ok, so in our current times there is a few people who want to ditch the current constitution of California, it's not a major movement currently though. So then, while I'm world building I made it so a Republican wins the Governorship in 2038 because of the top-2 system and spoiler effect, and because this is California, the Governor wasn't all that well liked and the result of the election ended up being what was needed to push for a new Constitution in California.

In 2042, Guess ran after a lot of people signed a petition to get him to run, he won and started up the process of Constitutional Convention. It being a convention and him being a Governor who prefers Parliamentary Systems, he fought for it in the Convention and it was settled on that. But then the Senate of California was all like, "We don't want to be abolished!" Which lead to a Semi-Parliamentary System and a 200 member unicameral legislator in California called the California Parliament. Then the Third California Constitution got approved by, I think in the Congress needs to approve it so ya. But because people like to dissent, the Constitution is currently in Court because the OP said so and I was like, that makes sense and I don't know much about the US Court System.

Vienna Eliot wrote:Additionally, this constitutional change would of course come with its fair share of dissenters. Consequently, it will have been in court for the past couple of years — first in California state courts, which eventually refused to hear the case, then working its way up through the federal courts on U.S. Constitutional grounds (Article IV and 14th Amendment), and to the Supreme Court, which in 2050 remanded it back to Federal District Court for concerns of justiciability. Now, Circuit Court deliberations have concluded recently and an opinion will be issued soon, after which it may again go to the Supreme Court.

Ok and then on to why he's a Premier and not like a Governor or Prime Minister. Not Governor because I couldn't find a single Parliamentary System that titles in Sub-national heads of government, Governor. Not Prime Minister because that's like the person in charge of the Federal Government, not State Governments. Yes Premier because it turns out like every Sub-National Leader under Parliamentary Systems in the English Speaking world, besides in the UK, is titled Premier. Just looked up Premier of British Columbia, or Western Cape, or New South Wales.

I will post early tomorrow. Happy Memorial Day weekend, everyone! Try and get some rest, and remember all those who have fallen to... gosh, we really haven't had a threat to the United States in 150 years, have we? Well, remember all those who have fallen to make American culture one of the most prominent in the world (I guess)!
